“Patrick! What happened!?!?”

Everything is explained, under the jump

If you have come here wondering what in the world has become of my political beliefs. Please, read here.

For the record, I am still not into big Government,I still believe in the second amendment and I still am Christian man. However, I am really not into my Father getting his Union rights trampled upon; which is not a Conservative thing to do, by the way. This is about Family, about the traditions of this wonderful State of Michigan and the history and traditions of the city of Detroit.

It is also about another thing too; and that is honesty. Republican Governor Rick Snyder STRAIGHT UP LIED about his intentions with the so-called “Right to Work” bill to the disillusioned Democrats, like myself, who voted for him.  Because of this, I have decided that I can no longer support the Republican Party of Michigan or the RNC and the so-called “Conservative movement”. It is NOT a Conservative movement, but an movement of corporatist pigs and crony capitalists. I am now and will always be a political independent and I will vote issues and not Party.

As I have noted, as in the piece that is linked here, that the Republican Party has proven to me, that they could honestly care less about people like my Dad.

Because of this, I am officially finished trying to defend a group of people who literally hates people like me and my Father.

This does NOT mean that I am a Democrat. It means that there is a grand canyon sized, times 500 million, gulf between me and the so-called “Conservative movement.” That is all, nothing else.

Hope this explains it.

  1. I am an ex-Michigander living in California right now. I sincerely hope that Michigan overturns this “right-to-work” legislation in the future. America needs unions to protect workers from corporate greed and excess.

Wishing you and your dad the best.

    1. Thank You Jen. 🙂

I simply am standing what I do really feel is morally right.

The so-called “right” is on the wrong side of this issue morally and they will pay for it too, at the ballot box, of course.

      Again, thank you very much.
