For my Mother, with Love.

There are many things that I can say about my Mother.

The question is, where do I start?

I want it to be publically known that my Mother has put up with more from me, than *any* other Mother would ever put up with.

While her nieces and nephews were out, being successful, getting married and having kids; her son, was still living at home and single.

While her nieces and nephews were out buying houses and starting families; her son was still living in her basement.

But, My Mother never complained at all. In fact, she likes the help around the house.

When I starting writing about politics, first as a left of center; things were fine, we agreed on much and truth be known, we still do — in 2007, when I realized that I simply did not agree with the Democrats and just could not continue to write in support of them — the first thing I asked myself and worried about was, “What will my Mother think?”

But, much to my shock and surprise, my Mother simply said, “it’s your business.” Which was kind of a let down, I figured she would ball me out, just a little. Truth is, we agree on some things. Between you and me; I think she’s a bit more to the right, than she thinks. 😛

I am thankful that my Mother decided to stay devoted to my Father, no matter what, because giving up and filing for divorce would have been the easy way out. She told me once, long ago; that she married for good and bad, rich or poor; good times and bad. For this alone, I am very grateful. I am sure my Dad is too, especially now.

I am grateful that my Mother decided to tough it out, with a kid who had ADHD and not decide that she couldn’t deal with it and give me up for adoption. I’m glad that my Mother chose life and did not go to some backyard abortion mill and have me aborted. Although, I tend to think that she wished she had, at times. Especially when I was younger.

But, most of all; I am simply grateful for my Mother. I wouldn’t trade my upbringing and life with her, and Dad for anything in this world at all. Money, fame, anything. I have, I must say; the greatest Mother any man could ever ask for.

God bless you Mom. You are the greatest.

Signed,

Patrick
