UPDATED: Idiot Democrat Doug Wilkey wants to shut down kid’s lemonade stand.

Update #2 (March 23, 2016): Looks like Doug Wilkey got investigated for running an business out of his house; which is illegal. Karma’s a bitch!

Update: I’ve gotten some pushback for writing what I did and publishing the guy’s address. Well, I have one thing to say about that:

Watch this video:

Does this kid strike you as being a typical snotty nosed punk kid, who thinks the world owes him something? No, He doesn’t.  He is a fine, polite young man, who is trying to make an honest buck, so that he can buy some things and see his grandma. …and for some crotchety old fuddy-duddy to cause a stink like this; it is just straight up bullcrap and I decided, that if he wanted to make this kid’s life difficult, I decided to make HIS life difficult.

My blog is not the highest trafficked blogs out there; But I do have a good SEO plugin. I figured if someone came looking for an address; they would get it and it looks like they have. 😀

As a lover of free market capitalism. This one burns my butt.

Here’s Doug Wilkey’s address:

1550 Patricia Ave

Dunedin, FL 34698-4411

If anyone has a phone number, cell or otherwise, please pass it on.

Here’s his house:

Sorry, but if you mess with kids like this; I am going to have to mess with you. Just that simple.

The story:

DUNEDIN — It seemed like a scene out of a Norman Rockwell painting. T.J. Guerrero served cookies and strawberry Country Time at his lemonade stand with a wave and a smile.

The 12-year-old had tested various locations and hours of operation before settling on 3 to 7 p.m. at Patricia Avenue and San Salvador Drive. He got a neighbor’s permission to pitch a homemade yellow sign in the grass and sell his fare from Tupperware on a white card table.

“It’s all about profit,” said T.J., who has paired his lemonade earnings with lawn-mowing cash for an iPod, snacks, his cellphone bill, trips with his grandfather and dinners with his mother.

But the boy’s entrepreneurial spirit has rankled at least one neighbor, who has emailed City Hall at least four times in two years and asked law enforcement to shut T.J. down.

Doug Wilkey contends that the Palm Harbor Middle School student’s year-round operation is an “illegal business” that causes excessive traffic, noise, trash, illegal parking and other problems that reduce his property values.

“Please help me regain my quiet home and neighborhood,” Wilkey, 61, wrote.

“We’re not in the business of trying to regulate kids like that; nor do we want to do any code enforcement like that,” said Dunedin planning and development director Greg Rice. “We are not out there trying to put lemonade stands out of business.”

It’s unclear how many hours government agencies have dedicated to the rancor.

I hope Mr. Wilkey realizes that what he is doing is stupid and knocks it off.

  1. I am a dyed in the wool conservative and usually agree with most other conservatives, but I am appalled that a conservative website would give out the address of ANY person, (much less an old man) in today’s dangerous and sick world. THIS IS DEAD WRONG.
I am sorry. I don’t like disagreeing, and I may get hammered for it, but I stand by this. It was WRONG to do that, to anyone. He didn’t kill someone, for heaven’s sake, he complained about some kids. That is what (some) old people do.
I am feeling more and more bad for this old man as more and more of the internet has turned him into a villain.
P.S. I think the kids lemonade stand is great. I don’t have a problem with that.
It is just we conservatives, ARE BETTER THAN STARTING UP LYNCH MOB MENTALITIES.
Especially over something as dumb as this.

  2. Now when some idiot decides to prank call him (or worse) because you provided his address and phone number, he can say it’s because of the lemonade stand. Good job, Internet.

  3. What proof do you have that this man is a democrat? Just like to be able to provide such if I refer to your blog on other sites.

    Thanks.

    1. Pretty ironic considering Mr. Wilkey lists his principal business address as his home address. He can operate a business from his home but the teenager with the lemonade stand is operating an “illegal business”?
