Did Obama threaten to shoot down Israeli jets if they attacked Iran?

Update: Roger Simon over at PJ Media says don’t bet the farm on this story; because you might lose your cow. 😉 (Thanks to Felix in the comments section.)

This doesn’t sound right….

Via israelnationalnews.com:

The Bethlehem-based news agency Ma’an has cited a Kuwaiti newspaper report Saturday, that US President Barack Obama thwarted an Israeli military attack against Iran’s nuclear facilities in 2014 by threatening to shoot down Israeli jets before they could reach their targets in Iran.

Following Obama’s threat, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu was reportedly forced to abort the planned Iran attack.

According to Al-Jarida, the Netanyahu government took the decision to strike Iran some time in 2014 soon after Israel had discovered the United States and Iran had been involved in secret talks over Iran’s nuclear program and were about to sign an agreement in that regard behind Israel’s back.

The report claimed that an unnamed Israeli minister who has good ties with the US administration revealed the attack plan to Secretary of State John Kerry, and that Obama then threatened to shoot down the Israeli jets before they could reach their targets in Iran.

Al-Jarida quoted “well-placed” sources as saying that Netanyahu, along with Minister of Defense Moshe Yaalon, and then-Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman, had decided to carry out airstrikes against Iran’s nuclear program after consultations with top security commanders.

According to the report, “Netanyahu and his commanders agreed after four nights of deliberations to task the Israeli army’s chief of staff, Benny Gantz, to prepare a qualitative operation against Iran’s nuclear program. In addition, Netanyahu and his ministers decided to do whatever they could do to thwart a possible agreement between Iran and the White House because such an agreement is, allegedly, a threat to Israel’s security.”

Sorry, but I don’t buy this one at all. For one, this news service is not really that trustworthy. As they are not above reporting false information to further propaganda. Furthermore, the report is too anonymous. Not only that; if Obama had actually threatened Israel in this manner, do you really think that Bibi would have remained silent about it? I think not. 🙄

I really think that someone somewhere is really itching for a military fight between Israel and the United States; and they are not above planting silly stories like this one here for the sole purpose of stoking anti-Obama rage in Israel. It is a cynical, sick and disgusting thing; and it shows you the state of politics here and in Israel as well.

    1. I have this bad temptation to be funny. Hopefully, the humor is understood.

      1. Quoting a good friend of mine, who used to say quite a bit, “He might be goofy, but he’s not that goofy…”

      2. If anyone would know, it would be Roger Simon at PJ Media! He’s got that direct line to Bibi:

      Ring…ring…

      Bibi: Hello?
Roger: Hey Bibi, Did Obama do this to you?
Bibi: You mean that silly story in the paper? Heck no!
      Roger: What I figured, Thanks.
      Bibi: Shalom
      Roger: Ditto

  1. I hear ya but you never know. It does sound like something Israel would do. However, I don’t think Obama has that kind of power.

      1. Well we don’t need Israel. They need us though. Honestly, they are America’s biggest problem.

        1. Now personally, I don’t believe Israel in itself is our problem ok?

I do believe however that America involving itself in Israel’s affairs and trying to enforce Israel’s wishes upon the rest of the Middle East is a problem.

Furthermore, I don’t believe we should be funding conflict between the Palestinians and Israelis.

Now that’s just my opinion. that’s not a hate mongering position that is simply a reality position of an American who wants to see this nation change course.

          1. I will say this too, Isis is a problem and if we don’t do something about it except ignoring it and hoping it will go away; we are going to be in some serious trouble here come the next few years.

those guys are more psycho than Al-qaeda ever was; they’re all about a Muslim caliphate and ruling the world by Sharia law.

          2. ISIS’s only God is money. They are a creation of the John McCain’s and people of his evil caliber. Privatised military in connection with black government. It is the beginnings of WWIII. Christians and Muslims hating one another. This is good vs evil.

          3. Well, I don’t know if John McCain is directly responsible for ISIS. But, it did seem to grow overnight.

I will say this though; ISIS did seize some oil fields in Iraq and is selling it on the black market. So, that is where a good amount of the money is coming from.

          4. Let me clarify good vs evil. Both devout Christians and Muslims are good people. By bad I meant the International banking cartel Who fund almost every war. These are sick mentally ill people with most the MONEY and all the POWER.

          5. Understood completely, and I agree. The problem is that the peaceful Muslim community are scared to death of these radical ones to the point of refusing to stand up against them. As for the banking people; yeah, they’re a rough crowd. But, I think Americans are waking up to their plans and are speaking out more.

          6. It’s tough though cause they control the media and what is taught in schools. I hope you are right though.

          7. I was going to just let this comment stand by itself and not offer any sort of rebuttal. But, I think I need to point out the fact that I don’t necessarily subscribe to any Jewish conspiracy when it comes to the media.

What I do believe that the influence and media as well as the bias in the media is more political, than it is Jewish or ethnic influence.

It’s more about left wing vs right wing media and both are biased. Some of the left wingers are Jewish and they are responsible for the destruction of our culture its called cultural Marxism and its been around since the early 1960’s.

There are Jews out there who love this country and love the freedoms that we have and the capitalistic system that we have and want to defend this country as well as their own homeland.

However, there are liberal left wing Jews who hate Israel hate America and its capitalistic system are Marxist in their politics, whether they be in the Republican Party or the Democratic party.

The idea that the Jews control everything comes off as sounding a bit conspiratorial and I don’t put much stock in conspiracy theories because conspiracy theories are one person’s opinion and I don’t do the Hive Mind thing and I don’t think anybody’s word is infallible except for the Lord Jesus Christ His Word and they crucified Him.

This includes Alex Jones, bill Cooper, William Pierce, or any of the rest of those people.

          8. I never once mentioned Jews. Since we are on the topic. The proper term is Zionism.

          9. Oh and I agree Alex Jones is a total fraud. Cooper on the other hand was a confused patriot. I agree with some of his work. I think he meant well. The other gentlemen I do not know.

          10. Its funny that I never once mentioned Jews but you immediately associated the media with them. Those I am speaking of are not real Jews. They hide behind the Jewish religion though. They are mostly converts to Judaism in the 12th century I believe. This has been proven through DNA testing by the Jews themselves over the last few years. They are more Turkish than Jewish ancestors. I think it is true of around 80% of the eastern European Jews. You can look it up.

          11. Couldn’t have said it any better myself. Like to add the dual citizen issue as a problem. They bleed us dry.

          12. I have no quarrel with those who wish to remain loyal to their country.

I do, however, have a problem with those who want to influence the USA’s foreign policy.

I am also not a big fan of Wilsonian foreign policy. Vietnam, Korea and both Iraq wars were UN Wilsonian adventures and you see where it got us.
