In case you re wondering as to why I am suddenly writing so much again.
I got a new iPad. Yes, you read that right, I got an apple product. It was a Christmas present from my lovely Mother.

It is not the really big one, But it was from my Mom and I love it. It has been a bit of a learning curve. But, I am getting the hang of it.

Now let me start this blog entry by saying, that I am NOT a COVID denier. The only issue that I had, is that the Covid shot was fast tracked, without enough testing to suit me. Now, having said all of that; it appears that there is another strain of the COVID virus,

The new COVID-19 variant that scientists call JN.1 now makes up about 44.1% of COVID-19 cases across the country, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimated Friday, marking another week of the fast-spreading variant’s steep rise in the U.S.
The increase is more than two times larger than the 21.3% that the CDC now estimates the strain made up of infections for the week ending Dec. 9, after Thanksgiving.
Among regions with enough data reported from testing labs to produce these latest projections, the CDC estimates that JN.1’s prevalence is largest in the Northeast region spanning New Jersey and New York, where the strain is 56.9% of cases in those states.
These new estimates come as other countries have also tracked a rapid ascent in JN.1’s prevalence across recent weeks, prompting the World Health Organization to step up the strain’s classification to “variant of interest” on Tuesday – its second highest tier.
Authorities have so far not reported different or more severe symptoms from JN.1 compared to previous strains.
Those percentages worry me a bit. I worry that many people will not take this new strain seriously and another pandemic might begin. Plus, there seems to still be a small group on the right, despite the ample evidence to the contrary, that Covid-19 was an invention of the Government for control of the masses. Which is, of course, a bunch of inane bullshit.
So, my advice to anyone reading this, if you are older, or what they call elderly, get the shot. If you do not want to do that, wear a mask when you go out in public. If you feel bad, see a doctor. Do not let this virus kill you, just to own the liberals, like some other blogs and websites would have you do.

The federal agency charged with protecting POTUS, the Vice President and their immediate families, as well as major political candidates and high level government officials, have opened a probe into statements the former Dukes of Hazzard star made online against the President and his son Hunter Biden earlier today, Deadline has learned.

Seriously, folks?” said Schneider to Deadline today in the second of two statements on his Biden remarks. “This is my final comment on this. I neither said nor implied any such thing. Despite headlines claiming otherwise, in my post, I absolutely did not call for an act of violence or threaten a U.S. president as many other celebrities have done in the past. I suggest you re-read my actual post and pay attention to the words before believing this nonsense.”
“It’s my position, which I am entitled to have, that some of our nations leaders in Washington have lost their way, and corruption runs rampant, both on our nation’s borders and abroad,” Schneider went on to say. “Transparency and accountability must happen in order for our constitutional republic to survive. There is no threat implied or otherwise in that statement.”
See John, the problem is that, saying stuff like that is a class D felony. You might that you are free to say this. But, you are not. Because our Federal Government can and will investigate your tweet and most likely pay you a visit.
You see, a do have freedom of speech. But, when any sort of speech, that even remotely reads like a threat, will be investigated.
I figured John would be smarter than that.
Finally, the Catholics are growing a pair against the liberal left.

Saint Mary’s College in Indiana, an all-women’s Catholic college, has reversed a controversial decision to admit biological males who identify as women.
In an email to the college’s community, Saint Mary’s College President Katie Conboy said the university is reverting back to its prior policy of only admitting biological women after the college’s initial decision to admit males who identify as women was roundly condemned.
Good on this college for standing up for what is right. For many years, the Catholic Church, stood for their beliefs. Only recently, due to this liberal pope, they have begun to slip. Good on this college for sticking to their guns. They should have done this in the first place.
It might be back peddling, but I will take it.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Supreme Court on Thursday issued a surprising 5-4 ruling in favor of Black voters in a congressional redistricting case from Alabama, with two conservative justices joining liberals in rejecting a Republican-led effort to weaken a landmark voting rights law.
Chief Justice John Roberts and Justice Brett Kavanaugh joined with the court’s liberals in affirming a lower-court ruling that found a likely violation of the Voting Rights Act in an Alabama congressional map with one majority Black seat out of seven congressional districts in a state where more than one in four residents is Black. The state now will have to draw a new map for next year’s elections.
The decision was closely watched for its potential effect on control of the closely divided U.S. House of Representatives. Because of the ruling, Republican-led legislatures in Alabama and Louisiana will have to redraw maps so that they could increase Black representation.
As it has been said many times in the past, Politics — be it Liberal or Conservative, are an absolute reflection of our society as a whole. That being said, since the election of Donald Trump and his nuanced signaling of approval, towards the more hateful in our society; who are in fact, hateful toward Blacks, Jews and even other said minorities, there has been a uptick in more red states, such as in this case, Alabama — toward excluding those said people from the political process.
None of this is new, Alabama has a quite troubled history with racism and horrific treatment of its black citizens, dating back before the civil war. In fact, The United States of America fought a bloody civil war to end the horrific practice of slavery in Alabama and in other, now red states. Now, we have Alabama Government which was and still is a big supporter of Donald Trump, who attempted to limit the black vote. This should be an embarrassment to the Republican Party; However, with the current leadership of the Republican Party, it is now. In fact, it is a source of pride, most likely.
The good part is, where in the past Blacks could not fight back against the systematic racial oppression. Now they can, and they did indeed, bring their case to the Supreme Court of the United States and they won, and won big. Good for them, they deserve to be able to participate in the electoral process, just as much as the white man.
Now for those of you, who was see this posting and think that I am some sort leftist; I say to you — hogwash. I am full aware of the left’s nonsense. What with the foolish pursuit of the climate change agenda, and blaming of everything on it, from racism to smoke from Canada’s wildfires — is ridiculously stupid. Not to mention the horrific critical race theory, which has its origins in the halls of the Frankfort School. I am also quite aware of the sodomite lifestyle and its proponents, which wish to indoctrinate our children with its satanic doctrines. I am fully aware of all of this.
However, it does not excuse the Republican Party’s and as a whole, the Conservative movements, satanic embrace of White Supremacy and the foolish approval of Conspiracy Theories, that has prevailed since the election of Donald J. Trump. Many years ago, people like William F. Buckley fought long and hard to run these sort of people out of the Republican Party and out of the Conservative Movement, for it they were labeled Neo-Conservatives, pied piper of the establishment and worse.
I am no William Buckley, But I am a Christian man, and I will speak out again this sort of nonsense, as long as I am able.

Rep Comer and the House Republicans had better watch it. I’ll explain below.
The Story:
House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) released a resolution Wednesday to hold FBI Director Christopher A. Wray in contempt of Congress for not fully complying with a subpoena. Comer said his panel would vote on the resolution Thursday.At issue is a document containing unverified allegations from a confidential informant about President Biden and his family. FBI officials provided Comer and Rep. Jamie B. Raskin (Md.), the top Democrat on the committee, with a briefing about the document on Monday, but Comer argued that is not sufficient.“
To date, the FBI has refused to comply with our lawfully issued subpoena and even refused to admit the record’s existence up until a week ago,” Comer said in a statement. “The FBI created this record based on information from a credible informant who has worked with the FBI for over a decade and paid six figures.
”Comer said the informant had firsthand conversations with a foreign national who claimed to have bribed Biden while he was vice president. The FBI has cited confidentiality concerns in not releasing the document.

The reason why I believe that Rep. Comer and the House Republicans should be careful is this: These allegations are unverified. One of the golden rules of President Ronald Reagan was “Trust, But verify.” If, by any chance that the house does get it’s hands on this document and there is an investigation into this accusations and they are found to be untrue —- this entire thing would blow up in the Republicans faces and would cost them the election in 2024 and would be a major setback to this Country, if Joe Biden was reelected.
The House Republicans need to stop playing politics with unverified accusations. Because it really could cost them and the Republicans in general in the Primaries and also in the General Elections.

New York CNN — Chris Licht, the embattled chief executive and chairman of CNN, whose brief one-year tenure at the network was stained by a series of severe missteps, departed the company on Wednesday.“I met with Chris and he will be leaving CNN,” David Zaslav, the chief executive of parent company Warner Bros. Discovery, told CNN employees at the start of the network’s daily editorial meeting.
Licht’s departure capped a tumultuous year for CNN, marked by layoffs, shrinking profits, historically low ratings, the firing of two anchors, and rock-bottom employee morale. The chaos that defined the last year also followed several other gut punches to the organization, including the ouster of previous leader, Jeff Zucker, and shuttering of nascent streaming service CNN+.
Licht, who became network chief last May after most recently leading “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert” to much success, saw his tenure dogged by fierce criticism in the press, often the result of leaks from employees around him who never fully trusted his leadership skills or editorial vision.

The biggest reason the man was canned is this:
The final death knell was a devastating 15,000-word profile in The Atlantic that published on Friday. The blistering piece, in which author Tim Alberta spoke to more than 100 CNN employees, called into serious question Licht’s ability to lead the organization into the future.
In the wake of The Atlantic article, Licht attempted to regain his footing. He apologized to staffers and vowed to “fight like hell” to win over the trust of employees.
But it became increasingly clear that Licht’s tenure as the chief executive was not tenable and quickly coming to an end. High-profile anchors and correspondents, in addition the the rank-and-file staff, had hit the wall with Licht. The CNN chief had, in effect, lost the room.
The picture quickly became clear to Zaslav, who installed his top lieutenant, David Leavy, as CNN’s chief operating officer last week. On Wednesday morning, Licht was informed that he was being relieved of his duties as CNN’s top executive, a person familiar with the matter said. The top two leaders of CNN’s communications department, Kris Coratti Kelly and Matt Dornic, as well as Licht’s chief of staff, Devan Cayea, will also depart the company, the person said.
I read the article in the Atlantic and it was clear that Licht was trying to, perhaps a bit too hard; to being CNN back to, at least, the center and also appeal to Conservatives and Republicans. This did not go over well with the employees at CNN. Licht forgot an important rule in Media and that is, know your audience.

This is disturbing to say the least.
The PGA Tour is merging with Saudi-backed rival LIV Golf, following months of tensions and mounting lawsuits between the competitors.
The two entities signed an agreement that would combine the PGA Tour’s and LIV Golf’s commercial businesses and rights into a new, yet-to-be-named for-profit company. The agreement includes DP World Tour, also known as the PGA European Tour.
IV Golf is backed by the Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund, an entity controlled by the Saudi crown prince and has been embroiled in antitrust lawsuits with the PGA Tour in the last year. The deal announced Tuesday would end all pending litigation.
PIF is prepared to invest billions of new capital into the new entity, CNBC’s David Faber reported Tuesday. Terms of the deal weren’t disclosed.
The agreement — the second stunning sports deal in just months, following World Wrestling Entertainment’s merger with Endeavor Group’s UFC — will require the approval of the PGA Tour policy board, Commissioner Jay Monahan said in a memo to players that was obtained by CNBC.

A bit of housekeeping around here: As you might have noticed, I just haven’t been blogging for a long while. My blogging pretty much stopped, after Donald Trump decided to show his true colors and act like an idiot.
After that. I just could not justify writing anything remotely supportive of him or the Republican Party at the time. Now, as we all know, Donald Trump went on to do more stupid stuff; like egging on January 6’th; and has continued to do stupid stuff since being out of office.
Now, to be clear, I am not switching political parties, I am still an Paleo-Conservative with moderate leanings. However, I do reject some elements of that group too. (Paleo-Conservatives, I mean.)
However, Election 2024 is coming and I do want to begin writing again. Mike Pence is running and believe he would be a bit more stable than Trump and he strikes me as being a person of deep faith and resolve. Unlike Trump and his bobsy twin Desantis. The rest do not have a snowball’s chance in hell of being elected.
So, yes, I am back. I won’t be writing novels. But, I will be writing again.
