What Donald Trump and the GOP hath wrought?

This is truly a very sad story.

Via NBC News:

A Pennsylvania family found shot dead in their backyard last week in what police say appears to be a suicide pact, included a mother and daughter who loved bowling and were devout Christian conservatives, people who knew them said.

Morgan Daub, 26, and her parents, James Daub, 62, and Deborah Daub, 59, were found dead on the ground in the backyard of their home in York County, Pennsylvania, on the morning of Jan. 25, after police responded to a request for a welfare check from a neighbor.

The West Manchester Township Police Department has since said that notes left inside the house indicate that the family recently made a “joint decision” to end their lives. Police believe Deborah Daub shot and killed her husband and then was shot and killed by Morgan, who died by suicide. Police said there were no signs of forced entry or struggle and no evidence that anyone else had been present.

An investigation into the deaths has been closed.

A sad story, right? But here is the reason why they did it:

Stabley said the Christian, churchgoing family “was never shy about letting anybody know what their beliefs were” when it came to religion and politics. Morgan and Deborah “very, very huge” supporters of former President Donald Trump, Stabley said.

“They were just so hell-bent on Trump winning, like this could be in the end if he doesn’t,” Stabley said, referring to an instance when he saw them just before the 2020 election. He said he stopped seeing the two after that.

A neighbor, who asked to remain anonymous for fear of personal or professional retaliation in their town, said the family had a “preoccupation with religion, especially on the dad’s part.” The family’s front yard was also “littered” with Pro-Trump political signs during the elections, and anti-abortion signs when Roe v. Wade was overturned, the neighbor said.

This is what they did:

The West Manchester Township Police Department has since said that notes left inside the house indicate that the family recently made a “joint decision” to end their lives. Police believe Deborah Daub shot and killed her husband and then was shot and killed by Morgan, who died by suicide. Police said there were no signs of forced entry or struggle and no evidence that anyone else had been present.

It gets worse:

Gabley said he was disturbed to see recent videos appearing to show Morgan on YouTube. In the videos, which the West Manchester Township Police Department has also said appear to show Morgan, the young woman speaks in stream-of-conscious fashion about God, the Antichrist and conspiracies about Trump and the 2020 election. Stabley said he is haunted by Morgan’s laughter in the videos.

“I never, ever, ever saw Morgan in that state,” he said.

Detective Timothy Fink said in a statement to NBC News on Friday that Deborah Daub left a written document, signed Jan. 19, in which “she speaks of a joint decision” by her and Morgan to end their lives. It refers to the “evil that has mounted against Morgan,” but does not go into further detail, Fink said.

Morgan and her father also left notes indicating that the family had planned how to carry out the shootings and made other preparations, including what to do with the family dog and assets.

Those notes were dated Jan. 24, a day before the bodies of the family were found.

Police said that the positioning of the bodies, the two guns found at scene, the shell casings and other evidence “support the account put forward by the written documents left behind by the family,” that “all three family members decided to end their lives on 1/24/2023.”

You see folks, this is what happens, when perfectly normal, Conservative Christian, people get caught up in conspiracy theories.  Things like this above happen.

I do not normally like to get on the blame Donald J. Trump wagon on much of what people like to blame him for; but this, this is just too much. Yes, I blame Donald J. Trump, QAnon, The GOP, Fox News Channel, and all the rest of the idiotic fools, who spouted conspiracy theories about the election of 2020. Had Trump never started that fools errand of claiming the election was stolen, this family might still be alive.

My Prayers are with the family of these poor people.

Update: This is a video from Fox43, it seems there a bit more at play here, just being Trump Supporters: (Via UPI)

This is a MUST read!

I have been chomping at the bit to write this, since part one of this story dropped over on Townhall. The story is about two darlings of the LGBTQ+ community were brought up on child sexual molestation charges. It is truly a disgusting story.

Zachary “Zack” Jacoby Zulock and William Dale Zulock Jr. were accused of not only molesting their two adopted sons, who are now ages 9 and 11; and also filming it and distributing it on social media. But also pimping the two boys out to pedophiles in the Atlanta, Georgia suburbs.

This the list of the parts of this 4 part story: (with links)

  • Part 1 laid out the horrifying facts of the child-prostitution case,
  • Part 2 explored the LGBTQ pedophile ring’s reach
  • Part 3 shined a spotlight on the state’s failure to protect the two little boys from suffering through serial sexual abuse allegedly committed by their gay activist fathers, who became their adoptive parents thanks to Georgia’s courts and child-welfare system.
  • Part 4 deals with how these perverts are dealing with prison.

First of all, I would to say that Mia Cathell has done, what the MSM has not done; she actually did some darned good research on this 4 part series and has really exposed the failure of the Georgia child adoption agencies and the State’s failure to vet these two guys.

Second of all, I want to be absolutely clear: While I am not gay at all — I am not insinuating or suggesting that all gays or lesbians do this sort of a thing or would do this sort of a thing. I am quite aware that there are certain quarters of the Conservative media world who do actually make that sort of suggestion and insinuation; I am not a part of, nor do I have any relations with those sites. Any blogrolls on this site should not suggest any sort of an alliance, or agreement on all of their views. This includes Townhall.com as well. While I do want to promote this story, because I believe it is important. I do not agree with everything over at that website.

To those who might come by here from social media, and might read this: I say this to you. Leave your political bias at the door, please. Go to these links, tell me what you think and then, share this story with as many people as you can. If you think this story is alarming, sick and disgusting; inform the media that they should do it’s job and report this story, free of bias and truthfully.

Thanks for reading.

Here is a perfect reason why I do not vote Democrat anymore

Michael Gerson, who was speechwriter for President George W. Bush, during the time of 9/11, died today of Cancer.

The Story via Washington Post, where he was also a columnist:

Michael Gerson, a speechwriter for President George W. Bush who helped craft messages of grief and resolve after 9/11, then explored conservative politics and faith as a Washington Post columnist writing on issues as diverse as President Donald Trump’s disruptive grip on the GOP and his own struggles with depression, died Nov. 17 at a hospital in Washington. He was 58.

The cause of death was complications of cancer, said Peter Wehner, a longtime friend and former colleague.

You can read the rest at the link above. It is sad news, right? You would think that the Progressive left would at least show a little respect for the family of man who had just died, right? Well, think again. Check out what some idiot, named Eric Loomis at a blog called “Guns, Lawyers and Money” writes:

I was hoping it was autoerotic asphyxiation, but alas, it was cancer.

Now, to be honest, when I was still voting for Democrats, I actually read this blog. Thank God that I figured out what that party was really about and changed my political views. The sick part is that the people of that party, especially the bloggers, have gotten much more nastier than they were, when I was still reading their blogs and had my own blog back in 2006.

But, more to the point, what kind of sick, evil, twisted person would even write something like this, about someone, who has just died of cancer and not have a single shred of decency to possibly be that nasty and not have any regard of his family, especially his wife and kids? This sort of thought comes from a dark heart of pure evil. Sorry to say it. But, this man has serious issues.

Yes, I know, 9/11 was terrible. The Iraq War sucked, and was based upon what we now know to be false intelligence.  But that comment above about this man, goes way beyond just a political disagreement and being opposed to a war. This is a personal comment meant to hurt his family. This comment is just as immoral as the Iraq War was, in my opinion.

Even the Washington Post was at least respectful of the man, even if they did go out of their way to point out some of the doings of the Bush Administration. Heck, even Karen Tumulty was at least respectful of the man and she is a progressive herself.

I know that the Republican Party is not perfect and some conservatives make me cringe. (See Fox News Channel) But, at least they are respectful of others. As a said in the title, this is why I no longer vote Democrat. It is just is not my party anymore.

Stupid White People – Texas Edition

All I can do here is shake my head. Some of my people seriously dumb.

The Story via NBC News:

A middle school teacher in Texas is no longer employed after a video posted on social media showed him telling students his race is “superior.”

“Deep down in my heart, I’m ethnocentric, which means I think my race is the superior one,” the teacher was recorded telling students of various races last week inside a classroom at Bohls Middle School, a sixth- through eighth-grade school in Pflugerville, about 18 miles northeast of Austin.

“I think everybody thinks that,” the teacher says. “They’re just not honest about it.”

The remark appeared to be directed at two Black students. Some students challenged the teacher. One student says: “I’m not racist though. I like all types of kinds.” The teacher responds, “Did I say I don’t like people?”

Another Black student asks the teacher: “Wait, so you said you are what? You are a racist?”

“I think everybody is a racist at that level,” the teacher responds. The same student tells him: “No. But you said you are a racist.”

“I did. I did,” the teacher said. A pair of Black students then told the teacher that they no longer had respect for him.

Ethnocentric? More like butthole bigot to me. The story goes on at the link. Thankfully, the school district fired his racist butt. It’s one thing to think such things; it is another entirely to say them out loud.

Now, I could go on about how this a sign of the Republican Party under Donald Trump and all that stupid nonsense. But, truthfully, I believe this a bad case of someone speaking, when he should keep his damned mouth shut and speaking without really engaging his rather small pea brain.

Don’t buy the hype: Twitter has not changed a bit

Just letting everyone know, do not buy into the hype that Twitter is going to be become some free speech hell hole.

As you all might know, many people are freaking out over Elon Musk’s buying of twitter. Predictably, the left is losing their minds about it. Well, do not worry, the moderation is still in effect.

I know this, because my Twitter account was locked today or last night.

I was reacting to a story about a story, where a Wayne County GOP Chair was bitten, yes, bitten by a protester at a Tutor Dixon campaign stop in southwest Detroit.

Quote:

DETROIT (WXYZ) — Bizarre allegations have surfaced about an assault over the weekend at a Tudor Dixon rally at Armando’s in Southwest Detroit.

Wayne County’s Republican Party chair claims a woman protesting the rally bit her in the arm. 7 Action News has now confirmed the alleged attacker is a teacher in the Dearborn Public School district.

In a video provided by a witness, a man can be heard saying, “act like a normal person,” a woman later responded, “I am.”

Witnesses say the woman, a protestor, was there alone and her intentions were to disturb the peace.

“She was acting so chaotic that I was worried she would go after the speakers or something or hurt somebody,” Cheryl Costantino said.

Costantino says she tried to block the protestor from moving toward the stage.

At first, she felt her push back and then she claims, “she just bent over and bit me really hard,” Costantino said.

“I’ve never been bit by an adult in my life, or anyone over 5,” she added.

Costantino provided pictures of what she says are bite marks and bruising from the attack.

“The top was a compression injury because of how hard her jaw bit me,” Costantino said. “So when it started swelling up, I couldn’t even raise my arm, like it was even uncomfortable just to drive.”

Linda Sawyer says she witnessed the whole thing and later confronted the woman after management kicked her out.

“I was exiting and she was still by the door and I went to her and I said, ‘You bit Cheryl’ and she said, “Yeah, well,'” Sawyer said. “Like she was proud of it.”

The woman, who we are not naming because she hasn’t been charged, teaches special education at Dearborn Public Schools.

We spoke to her via Facebook and she denied all allegations and claimed she was the one who was attacked.

“If nonverbal and autistic children are in her care, if she would bite an adult what would you do to a child,” Costantino said.

Costantino has since filed a police report with the Detroit Police Department. A spokesperson has confirmed to 7 Action News that they are actively investigating the incident.

We reached out to Dearborn Public School. In a statement, they said:

“The Dearborn Public Schools is in the process of conducting an investigation to gather all the facts associated with this alleged incident and determine if there were any violations of board policy.”

School officials would not say what school the woman teaches at.

Costantino is a teacher herself, which she says makes the situation all the more mind-boggling.

“I don’t understand who would trust someone like that with their children and why would a school open themselves up to liability by keeping an employee who would act like that,” Costantino said.

She says no one’s political views warrant violence.

“It’s not worth going to jail over or getting charges brought against you,” she said. “It’s one thing to fight for what you believe in, but not physically.”

Well, on twitter, I linked to the story on twitter, with the words, “I would have punched the bitch” with the @GOP and @Thedemocrats twitter handles and my tweet was blocked and my account locked.

So, to those on the left freaking and right celebrating; don’t. Because nothing has changed at all.

For the record, I most likely would not have punched a Lady. But, bite me? I cannot rule out a good bitch slap. 😉

Fox News needs to FIRE Tucker Carlson

Because, at this point, Tucker Carlson is nothing more than a shill for the Russian Federation.

The Video:

The story via Mediaite:

Tucker Carlson teed up Ron DeSantis to complain about federal assistance, vis-a-vis President Joe Biden, amid Hurricane Ian and its catastrophic impact on Southwest Florida. But the Florida governor did not take the bait and instead focused on optimism of collaborative governance during a time of such dire emergency.

The harmonic convergence may be upon us.

DeSantis appeared on Fox News prime time while the eye of Hurricane Ian traveled across his state. As the interview wound down, Carlson seemed unable to resist seeking a political hit on the Biden administration.

“When a natural disaster like this strikes the state, it is common; I think it’s always the case that the state receives federal aid,” Carlson noted. “Given how politicized things are at the moment, are you confident you’re going to get the federal support Florida needs?”

It is a deeply cynical question suggesting that President Biden would keep aid from suffering Floridians because of “politics.” And yet, that very idea is inserting politics into disaster relief. Carlson appears to be doing the very thing that he is preemptively complaining about with Biden. Shocker.

DeSantis’s answer was refreshingly thoughtful and, well, not bait-takey.

“So I actually spoke with the president. He said he wants to be helpful,” DeSantis replied, echoing thoughts he shared on Hannity the previous night. “So we did submit a request for reimbursement for the next 60 days at 100%. That’s significant support. It’s a significant storm.”

“So we haven’t heard back from it. I’m actually cautiously optimistic that we do,” he added. Overnight, President Biden approved the major disaster request DeSantis referenced.

“As you said, Tucker, we live in a politicized time, but when people are fighting for their lives, when their livelihood is at stake, lost everything, if you can’t put politics aside for that, you won’t be able to,” DeSantis added. “I’ll work with anybody who wants to help the people of southwest Florida and throughout our state.

This is bad, even for Tucker. Here at the house, when Trucker Carlson comes on, we switch it to either BBC or local news. There was a time, when Tucker Carlson was a decent person to listen to. That time, I am afraid, has long passed.

This is the same knucklehead who said that the United States actually sabotaged the Nordstrom Pipeline.

More Democrat political violence: Drunk Liberal runs over 18 year old Republican kid

This is seriously messed up.

Via Valley News Live:

MCHENRY, N.D. (Valley News Live) – A community is mourning the loss of an 18-year-old man from Grace City, North Dakota, as investigators look into what led up to a deadly crash. Foster County Deputies were called to a hit-and-run that happened in an alleyway near Johnston Street and Jones Avenue in McHenry, ND.

Court documents say at 2:35 Sunday morning, 41-year-old Shannon Brandt called 911 to report that he had hit a pedestrian because he was threatening him. Brandt told State Radio that the pedestrian was part of a Republican extremist group and that he was afraid they were “coming to get him.” The pedestrian has been identified in a GoFundMe page as 18-year-old Cayler Ellingson.

After visiting the scene where the incident happened, deputies went to Brandt’s house in Glenfield, ND, which is about 12 minutes from the crash scene. Brandt admitted to consuming alcohol before the incident, and stated he hit Ellingson with his car because he had a political argument with him. Brandt also admitted to deputies that he initially left the crash scene, then returned to call 911, but left again before deputies could arrive.

Court documents say just before the crash, Ellingson called his mom and asked if they knew who Brandt was. She said yes, and told her son she was on her way to pick him up. A short time later, court documents say Ellingson called his mom again to say that “he” or “they” were chasing him. It was after the second call that Ellingson could not be reached again.

Ellingson was pronounced dead at a Carrington Hospital. Brandt has been charged with criminal vehicular homicide and DUI. Court records show a judge set bail at $50,000.

Here are the media outlets covering this, according to Memeorandum:

Breitbart, The Western Journal  LifeNews.com, The Post Millennial, RedState, The Gateway Pundit and Louder With Crowder

Fox News is reporting as well. But, others? Crickets. 🙄 Normally, when the right cries “media bias!” I roll my eyes. Not this time, it’s obvious that the progressive media is not touching this, at all.

The end of an era: AllahPundit leaves HotAir.com

Some very sad news, after 16 years, AllahPundit is leaving HotAir.com.

He is leaving the site for the same reasons, that I really have not been writing very much on this blog.

Quote:

Partisan media serves two masters, the truth and the cause. When they align, all is well. When they conflict, you choose. If you prioritize the truth, you’re a traitor; if you prioritize the cause, you’re a propagandist. One recent example of the latter is the left mocking Republicans who accepted PPP loans during the pandemic for opposing Biden’s student debt bailout. The differences between those two programs would be evident to a reasonably intelligent fourth-grader but the imperative to serve the cause by rationalizing Biden’s giveaway forced liberals to treat it as a smart own. I think some even talked themselves into believing it. Propagandists lie to others, then lie to themselves to justify propagating the original lie. Propaganda rots the brain, then the soul.

That’s one reason why, when I’ve been forced to choose, I preferred to be a traitor than a propagandist. Here’s another: What is the right’s “cause” at this point? What cause does the Republican Party presently serve? It has no meaningful policy agenda. It literally has no platform. The closest thing it has to a cause is justifying abuses of state power to own the libs and defending whatever Trump’s latest boorish or corrupt thought-fart happens to be. Imagine being a propagandist for a cause as impoverished as that. Many don’t need to imagine.

The GOP does have a cause. The cause is consolidating power. Overturn the rigged elections, purge the disloyal bureaucrats, smash the corrupt institutions that stand in the way. Give the leader a free hand. It’s plain as day to those who are willing to see where this is going, what the highest ambitions of this personality cult are. Those who support it without insisting on reform should at least stop pretending that they’re voting for anything else.

I agree with others who say that, fundamentally, the last six years have been a character test. Some conservatives became earnest converts to Trumpism, whatever that is. But too many who ditched their civic convictions did so for the most banal reasons, because there was something in it for them — profit, influence, proximity to power, the brainless tribalism required by audience capture. “Every great cause begins as a movement, becomes a business, and eventually degenerates into a racket,” Eric Hoffer wrote. We’ve all gotten to see who the racketeers are.

I would rather fail as a writer than succeed if success means being some demagogue’s footstool. To the extent my work at Hot Air has made that clear, I’m happy with it.

Never forget, it’s not the 30 percent of Trump worshipers within the party who brought the GOP to what it is. It’s the next 50 percent, the look-what-the-libs-made-me-do zombie partisans, who could have said no but didn’t. I said no. Put it on my tombstone.

As much as I hate to admit it; he is absolutely correct. The Republican Party has become a shadow and bad parody of itself.

Gone are the days of the statesmen, like Ronald Reagan. Gone are the intellectual Conservatives, like William F. Buckley. Gone are the moderates like Jack Kemp. Gone are the real Conservatives like Patrick J. Buchanan, who actually loves America, and wants to keep American jobs. Unlike the two-bit phony like trump, who only cares about his supposed “Brand.”

On another aspect, it is truly the end of a blogging era. AllahPundit was a pen name, that was created in response to the 9/11 attacks in NYC. It was basically a parody of Islamic Fascism. Starting with “Allah’s in the House” blog and continuing with his writing over at HotAir.com.

It also represents a change in the landscape of the blogosphere.  Where people like Michelle Malkin were the superstars of the Conservative Blogging world and the movement itself.’ Malkin has been relegated to the corner of the extremists. with her friendship with the “proud boys.” Strange case, that one was.

This is what happened after President Bush’s term ended, the right united against Obama. Then Trump ran and won. The cult of personality around trump was divided into two camps, Pro Trump and Anti-Trump. Alliances were destroyed, friendships ruined and the Conservative movement fractured badly. Now, the conservatives are slinging it out between anti and pro Trump camps and slinging mud at President Biden; who is by the way, the worst President since Jimmy Carter. In fact, Biden is much, much, worse.

Even I have changed in my political beliefs since starting blogging in 2006. I, in fact, started out as a Populist, but nothing like the Conservative Populism that Trump represents. More of this kind here. However, in the years since then, mainly because I have gotten older, (I turned 50 this year.) I have honestly come to realize that left wing politics is a dead end. Leftism is nothing more a religion of hate; black against white, Jews verses Gentiles, Poor against Rich, Haves against Have-nots.

It is all rather exhausting honestly and I got quite tired of being on the side of hate. Equally tiring is the battle of conservatives against each other. For goodness sake, are not we supposed to be fighting against the far left and their lunacy? Instead we are fighting against each other, over a man, who could give a wit about the Republican Party, Conservatism, and America in General. He has his money, and he really does not care about anyone or anything else. The White House was an ego thing for him, and that was it.

We should be fighting against the loony far left. We should be fighting back against Joe Biden and his idiotic policies, we should be fighting against assault against our freedoms, by the left. Instead conservatives are fighting each other, and media is obsessed, left and right; about a President that lost an election 2 years ago! Enough! The media, the conservative movement, and everyone else needs to move the hell on!

That is my opinion and I would like to know yours.

This is a serious problem

Biden just made a massive bone-headed move.

Via the lever:

Last month, President Joe Biden nominated a longtime advocate of Social Security privatization and benefit cuts to a key board overseeing the Social Security system. The move comes as Republicans get ready to push cuts to Social Security and Medicare, if they end up winning control of Congress during the November’s midterms, as expected.

The development suggests that there could soon be a coordinated push in Washington to cut the Social Security program, which provides retirement, disability, and survivor benefits to 66 million Americans.

more:

On May 13, Biden chose to nominate Andrew Biggs, a fellow at the right-wing American Enterprise Institute think tank, for a Republican seat on the bipartisan Social Security Advisory Board, which was created in 1994 to consult the president and Congress about the Social Security system.

For years, Biggs has been a vocal critic of expanded Social Security and workers’ right to a secure, stable retirement free from the vagaries of the stock market. He has dismissed the retirement crisis as a non-issue and as recently as 2020 blamed problems with the Social Security system on “older Americans’ game of chicken.” And two decades ago, Biggs worked on a Bush administration commission that pushed to privatize Social Security.

Now he claims:

In response to questions from The Lever, Biggs suggested he no longer favors privatizing Social Security. Instead, he said he now believes that nations’ Social Security-like programs should be “more focused on guaranteeing against poverty in old age while middle and high-income individuals take on greater responsibility for saving for retirement on their own, such as by the government establishing universal retirement savings accounts for every worker.”

Establishing such savings accounts would be a solution in search of a problem. Social Security is incredibly successful at delivering retirement benefits, and raising taxes on the wealthy would be a straightforward way to expand the program. Alternatively, creating retirement accounts invested in the stock market would involve a much more unwieldy and risky expansion of government programs — and would be a huge boon to Wall Street.

More about this rat fucker:

In 2001, Biggs was a staff analyst on George W. Bush’s commission on Social Security that advocated privatizing the government program by shifting the programs’ trust fund investments from U.S. Treasury bills to high-fee, high-risk “personal accounts” that  seniors could use to invest Social Security assets in the stock and bond markets, like employees do with their 401(k) plans.

After that, Biggs spent four years working as an associate commissioner of the Social Security Administration, which administers the Social Security program, while Bush unsuccessfully pushed the unprecedented privatization efforts recommended by the 2001 commission.

A sample of Biggs’ writings on Social Security over the years shows that he:

  • Hand-waved away retirement insecurity for millions of Americans, saying that “only” 23 percent of seniors will have retirement incomes equal to or less than 75 percent of their average pre-retirement earnings.

  • Was concerned by Social Security taxes being raised on “upper-middle class Americans making as little as $140,000,” even though such a tax hike would massively increase long-term Social Security funding.
  • Endorsed cuts to Social Security, saying: “Most middle and upper-income retirees could survive just fine with slightly lower initial Social Security benefits and lower Cost of Living Adjustments after retirement.”
  • Argued that Social Security privatization would make Americans “not only richer, but also happier, healthier, more familial, smarter, and more active citizens.”
  • In 2013, Biggs justified the idea of raising the retirement age for Social Security benefits by saying that Americans’ “biggest on the job risk is, you know, carpal tunnel syndrome from your mouse or something like that.”.

My Mother is on Social Security, as was my Dad. This rat fucker wants to take it away.
