Because I am having a Blog embargo against Hillary Clinton and her attempt to destroy the Democrat Party. I thought I would share with you something that I did here yesterday.

Yesterday, my Father and Me went to the local Gander Mountain here in Taylor, Michigan. My Dad is in fact quite the fishing fan, more accurately he is a fishing fanatic. I personally could quite honestly give a flying flip about fishing, I find it mind numbingly boring.

While dad and I were looking at the fishing equipment, I asked him, “Do they sell guns here?” He said “Yes.” So, I said, “I’m going to the gun department.” My dad said okay, and off I went.

I walked to the other side of the store and made it to the gun department. There I met a very nice man, by the name of Greg. Greg was extremely knowledgeable about his guns. He answered all my stupid questions; I informed him that I was a newly minted Libertarian/Constitutionalist and former left of center and a Blogger. He seemed very interested. I am happy to report that all the guns in the display cases had gun locks on them.

Greg even went and got a used gun, it was a .357 Magnum, some that the store would be selling used, and it was a former postmaster’s gun. Greg taught me how to properly hold a gun. He was quite impressed as to how I handled a gun. Greg was extremely friendly, we talked Politics, shared our disdain of B. Hussein Obama and the direction of the G.O.P.

Therefore, if you are ever in Michigan here and you are looking for Ammo or maybe looking for a new gun, Head over to Gander Mountain in Taylor, Michigan, ask for Greg. He will set you right up.

I cannot believe that I waited this late in life to get interested in Guns. I do not think I will own one, while living in this house. However, once I am on my own. I will possess a firearm. I do intend to get the proper permits and such.

Before it is over with, I will be swearing out warrants for Liberals and wearing NRA Underwear. (Well, maybe not, but it did kind of sound funny….)

Breaking News: Ford Motor Company cutting production of SUV's for the rest of the year.

A further testament to the fact that our nation’s economy is heading over the cliff. News this morning that Ford Motor Company is cutting production of their pickups and sport utility vehicles, of whom sales has dropped drastically in the recent months.

Quote from the AP:

Ford Motor Co. says it is cutting North American production for the rest of the year as high gas prices and the weak economy depress its sales.

The Dearborn-based company said Thursday it also expects to break even in 2009, scaling back its goal of returning to profitability by that time.

Ford says it will cut production by 15 percent in the second quarter, 15 to 20 percent in the third quarter and 2 to 8 percent in the fourth quarter.

The cuts primarily will affect pickups and sport utility vehicles, which have seen sales plummet in recent months. Ford plans to increase its production of cars and crossovers.

I could launch into some sort of tirade and blame Bush and the Republicans for this, however, that would be using the current Political situation as a scapegoat. This economic crisis has been brewing for years and years and finally it has come to a crest.

Our nation allowed itself to become dependent on foreign oil, we are now basically slaves to a foreign supplier for oil for our nation’s resources. The housing crisis was caused by a few things, sub-prime lenders who were not over-sighted to make sure that they did not trick people into buying houses that they could not afford. I do believe in free markets, but I also believe in moderate regulation. This was not in place and now we’re in the mess we are in. However, I will say this, there were people that KNOWNINGLY bought houses that they knew that they could not afford. These people now want the United States Government to bail them out. I believe that this is totally wrong. Why should my tax dollars pay for some idiot, who knowingly (key word there…) signed loans that they could not afford to pay for?

I have heard the arguments for and against drilling in Alaska. I am not convinced beyond a shadow of a doubt, that Alaska would solve ALL of our problems. I just believe we need to find sensible alternative forms of energy, some of one’s that I have seen, on the surface seem good, but there are other problems, that keep them for being implemented in the "real world."

There is no quick fix to this problem, it is going to take years to fix the problems that our Nation, as a whole, has created for ourselves.

Finally!! — American Axle, UAW Reach Deal

The Local Story: ALERT: American Axle, UAW Reach Deal (Via WXYZ.com)

DETROIT (AP) — An American Axle and Manufacturing Holdings Inc. spokeswoman confirms the auto parts supplier has reached a tentative agreement with the United Auto Workers that could end an 11-week strike.

Spokeswoman Renee Rogers says she doesn’t have any details on the deal, reached late Friday. It’s not clear when the agreement will be presented to union members.

The walkout by about 3,600 workers at five factories had crippled truck and sport utility vehicle manufacturing at General Motors Corp.

The company makes axles, drive shafts and stabilizer bars for GM, Chrysler LLC and other automakers.

GM was forced to partially or fully close more than 30 factories and lay off thousands of workers because of parts shortages.

Glad to see that these two got their differences settled and are getting back to work, considering the economic conditions in this area, this was no time to sit out a long strike, I’m glad to see that all parties are back to work and production will be able to continue.

I suppose some of you are expecting me to make a anti-union comment, sorry, I, as an independent thinker, believe that unions have a right to exist and stand up for the right of those whom the represent, yes, I am aware of the corruption that exists in some, but not all, of the unions, but that does not mean that the unions do not serve their proper purpose. I also realize that, thanks to the Hillary Clinton and her idiot husband, that passed the NAFTA agreement, the unions standing in America has been diminished somewhat, hopefully, the next President, of whom it seems Obama will be that person, will fix that lopsidedness of that agreement or opt out of it. Thus restoring the unions rightful place in America.

By that as it may, I wish the workers at American axle all the best, and now, get back to work! Winking Big Grin

About the "Sweety" Incident – Update: Obama Apologizes

Responding to this bunch of silly nonsense.

Peggy Agar is, for all indents and purposes an ratings seeking, attention whore.

Peggy Agar was reporter that was involved in the reporting of former Detroit reporter Suzanne Pagella, as was her station, WXYZ-TV here in Detroit. Suzanne Pegella ended up committing suicide after being publicly humiliated by WXYZ-TV.

In short, this is nothing more than a media setup and she should be fired for it.

Yes, the term is offensive, but this was done purposely.

Update: Obama Apologizes:

Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Barack Obama has apologized to WXYZ reporter Peggy Agar for calling her "sweetie" during a campaign stop Wednesday in Sterling Heights.

Obama apologized in a voicemail he left on Agar’s cell phone at 3:16 p.m:

"Hi Peggy. This is Barack Obama. I’m calling to apologize on two fronts. One was you didn’t get your question answered and I apologize. I thought that we had set up interviews with all the local stations. I guess we got it with your station but you weren’t the reporter that got the interview. And so, I broke my word. I apologize for that and I will make up for it.

"Second apology is for using the word ‘sweetie.’ That’s a bad habit of mine. I do it sometimes with all kinds of people. I mean no disrespect and so I am duly chastened on that front. Feel free to call me back. I expect that my press team will be happy to try to make it up to you whenever we are in Detroit next."

Good on him for that, it should defuse this. Hopefully.

I’ve noticed over at said Blogs that the comparison between this and the Compean and Ramos situation. There’s only one problem. There is no comparison.

The facts are this, Compean and Ramos engaged in the shooting of an unarmed, fleeing suspect, destroying evidence, and engaged in a cover-up, and they were prosecuted for it. Which I think is a good thing. There is a thing in this country, called the rule of law, and if you break it, you go to jail.

Much of the Internet coverage surrounding these two guys is given by Conservatives and some Nationalists. Much of which is mired in Racism.

I am all for the stopping illegal immigration, but for it to be done in a lawful manner. Not in a manner such as these two guys did.

I am sure there are two sides to every story, as I am sure there is here. But something doesn’t smell right with the supporters side of it.
