Once Again, Owning a Gun Saves Lives

I have always believed, even before I switched sides politically, that owning a Gun was a right of every American. Because of this most beautiful and cherished right is why lives are saved. Hence the story below:

Via The Sun Sentinel:

MIRAMAR — As the 55-year-old Miramar homeowner prepared to go outside to investigate a sudden power outage, the man’s wife spotted someone crouching by the family cars in the driveway.

"Grab your gun," the businessman’s wife told him. "Just in case."

The man’s daughter called her dad a hero on Monday — the day after he gunned down one of three masked intruders who tried to bull their way through the family’s front door.

"He saved our lives," she said.

Under the state law known as the "Castle Doctrine," a person has the right to defend himself and even to use deadly force in defending his home against an intruder.

"He believed that his life was in danger," said Miramar police spokeswoman Tania Rues. However, she added, the state attorney will decided what — if any — charges will be filed.

One of the three suspected intruders was hit by multiple gunshots, said Rues. When police arrived they found him sprawled outside the front door.

Flown by helicopter to Hollywood’s Memorial Regional Hospital, he was listed Monday in serious condition. He has not been charged.

At least two other suspects escaped, said Rues.

The drama in the 5200 block of Southwest 149th Avenue, in the gated Reserve at Huntington, began about 11:45 p.m. Sunday with the loss of power, the daughter said. When the family saw that other homes in the neighborhood were not affected, her father decided to go out and look around.

"He was going to go unarmed until my mother told him to take the gun," she said.

As the homeowner cracked open the front door, the three men charged, according to Miramar police. One of the three may have been armed, said Rues.

Shoving his wife to safety in an office off the foyer, the man fell backward while opening fire, according to a riveting account provided Monday by the couple’s daughter, who was on the phone with Miramar police.

Not owning a gun in this day and age is basically being an open target.

Get Armed, Get Loaded and Get ready.

Gun Business booming under Obama’s tenure

That’s right, President Obama might not be helping the general economy; however, the gun sales market is booming.

The Video:

The Story via CNBC:

The gun business is booming. The question is, why?

Smith & Wesson stock Friday was zooming, thanks to a stellar earnings report. The firearms maker also boosted its outlook for the rest of the year. Because of the strong business, its backlog of orders more than doubled from the same quarter last year, the company is concentrating on boosting production and building inventory.

“We are underserving the market at this moment, we all know that, and that’s a great opportunity going forward for us,” CEO James Debney said in a conference call with analysts.

And another gun maker, Sturm, Ruger & Co., also hit a milestone of sorts in terms of meeting consumer demand. It produced its one-millionth gun of the year…well ahead of last year’s pace.

“It took us nearly all of 2011 to build one million firearms, but in 2012 we accomplished it on August 15th,” said Ruger President and CEO Mike Fifer in a statement.

What’s driving the demand that has gun makers cranking up production?

Speculation has focused on fears of a coming regulatory crackdown on gun ownership. Liberal administrations tend to be anti-gun and so, the thinking goes, an Obama re-election would set the stage for stricter gun purchasing requirements. Hence, people are buying now in anticipation of difficulty later.

Indeed, looking at background checks for gun sales (a metric commonly used to gauge general industry performance) 2009 showed a measureable increase that many attributed to Obama’s election.

Is it the same this year? Some anecdotal evidence tends to bear that out.

“I should put Obama’s picture on the wall up there,” said one New Jersey gun salesman, asking not to be identified. “I’d name him salesman of the month!”

But it’s not universal. Some suggest it may be less about regulatory worries and more about the immediate economy.

“Sure, about a third of it is politics,” said a Maryland salesman, who also didn’t want to be named. “But the majority are people concerned about safety. They are worried about crime and looking at the economy and no one having jobs. They want to be protected now. So they’re buying.”

Of course, if Hillary and the gun grabbers at the U.N have anything to say about this; all of our guns will be taken away. This is why we have to vote different this time around; and put Mitt Romney in the White House, so that the gun grabbers will be put at bay.

Video: D-Day for Gun Owners

I think this video is very important to those who cherish the second amendment.

This group that made this video has a letter to Hillary Clinton, and it reads:

Dear Hillary Clinton,

The Second Amendment clearly states, “The right of the people to keep and bear arms SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED!”

And as much as you and your fellow anti-gun globalists hate it, the American people will NEVER submit to global gun control!

I hereby pledge to fight against your subversive scheme and uphold and defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic.

If you agree with this, please, click the link below and help save America from gun-grabbing tyrants.

…and by the way, The NRA confirms the fact that this does exist.

We must take a stand, or we will lose our guns.

Chuck Baldwin minces no words about Paul Ryan

I have to like Chuck Baldwin, he does not mince words:

It has happened again. We go through this every four years, and every four years the vast majority of “conservatives” fall for it. This is such a broken record. What did Forrest Gump say: “Stupid is as stupid does”? And wasn’t it P.T. Barnum who said, “There’s a sucker born every minute”? Well, here we go again.

Neocon RINO George H.W. Bush picks “conservative” Dan Quayle. “Conservative” G.W. Bush picks neocon RINO Dick Cheney. Neocon RINO John McCain picks “conservative” Sarah Palin. Now, neocon RINO Mitt Romney picks “conservative” Paul Ryan. As long as there is one “conservative” on the ticket, mushy-headed “conservatives” across the country will go into a gaga, starry-eyed, hypnotic trance in support of the Republican ticket. I’m convinced that if Lucifer, himself, was the GOP Presidential candidate, he would get the support of the Religious Right and Republican “conservatives” as long as he selected a reputed “conservative” to join his ticket. And, by the way, the notable “conservative” wouldn’t think twice about joining such a ticket, either, I’m convinced.

Let’s just get this on the record: since 1960, there have only been two Presidential nominees (from the two major parties) who were not controlled by the globalist elitists. One was a Democrat, John F. Kennedy; the other was a Republican, Ronald Reagan. Kennedy was shot and killed; Reagan was shot. Every other President, Democrat or Republican, has been totally controlled, which is why none of them have done diddly-squat to make a difference in the direction of the country. On the issues that really matter, Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan are just more of the same!

via Chuck Baldwin — Paul Ryan: More Of The Same.

He goes on to say that Ron Paul is the only one; and I disagree with that. However, I will say this; he is right about Romney and Ryan. Which is I am voting for:

Goode/Clymer in 2012

He will not win the election

But voting for anything else is simply Anti-American

Wisconsin Sikh Temple shooter ID’ed.

Information about yesterday’s shooting at a Sikh temple in Wisconsin has come out.

Via Fox News:

The trigger man, Wade Michael Page, a known White Nationalist.

URGENT: A 40-year-old Army veteran and suspected white supremacist who gunned down six inside a Milwaukee-area Sikh temple shot the responding officer eight to nine times before he was killed by police, authorities said Monday.

Officials said the gunman, whom they identified as Wade Michael Page, walked into the Sikh Temple of Wisconsin on Sunday and opened fire with a 9mm handgun as several dozen people prepared for morning services. The victims ranged in age from 39 to 84, authorities said. Three others were wounded, including 51-year-old veteran police officer Brian Murphy, who remains in critical condition.

Authorities said during a Monday press conference that there is no reason to believe anyone other than Page was involved in the shooting in the Milwaukee suburb of Oak Creek. But the FBI showed a photo of a “person of interest” whom they want to question in the investigation. The unidentified man showed up at the scene after the shooting and looked “suspicious,” Oak Creek Police Chief John Edwards said. The man left before police could interview him.

FBI Special Agent in Charge, Teresa Carlson, said a motive is still under investigation, and noted that authorities are looking at Page’s “ties to white supremacist groups.”

Another “person of interest” is also being sought; Jsonline reports:

At a news conference at 10 a.m., authorities said there were attempting to identify another person, a white male, who they described as “a person of interest.”

A man matching the photo officials showed was seen by Journal Sentinel reporters at the scene of the temple Sunday, possibly video taping what was going on. Anyone with information on the man is asked to call 1-800-CALL-FBI.

Here’s the person of interest’s photo:

This is the guy that the FBI wants to talk to. If you know this guy, get in touch with the FBI at the number listed above. Do NOT try and approach this man at all. He could be armed and very dangerous! Hopefully he will do the right thing and turn himself in to the FBI.

What really gets me, is that both sides; left and right are really trying to politicize this story and it is sucks frankly. You can read some of that here. I did a little bit of that myself; I simply said I feared our second amendment rights might be taken away. But, I think that might not be the case; although, I believe the left will try very hard to make that happen.

For the record; even the White Nationalists over at Stormfront.org are saying that this guy is someone outside of their normal circles. Needless to say, they are not happy with being associated with a murderer like that this guy. Also, for the record, I do not, nor have I ever, agreed with the mentality of these people. I wrote about this once, to defend myself from accusations of being a Neo-Nazi once. Neo-Nazi’s are most usually leftists. I am not, nor have I ever been, an ardent leftist. I was a working class Democratic Party voter. I was also pretty much not involved with politics or even worrying or thinking about it until 2006.  I am now an Constitutional Conservative. There is a huge difference between those two camps —– trust me.

UPDATED: Another mass shooting, this time in Wisconsin

First Colorado, now this.

A mass shooting at a Sikh Temple in Wisconsin. Go Here, Here, Here, Here and Here to read all about it. (Via Memeornadum)

Via NBCNews.com, a detail that I am hoping like hell is wrong:

A temple committee member, Ven Boba Ri, told the Journal-Sentinel that people inside the temple described the shooter as a white male in his 30s.

“We have no idea,” he said of the motive. “It’s pretty much a hate crime. It’s not an insider.”

Ri told the Journal-Sentinel the gunman walked up to a priest who was standing outside the temple and shot him. Then he went inside and started shooting.

If this is even remotely true; we are so.very.much.screwed, when it comes to gun rights. It is over and we will have to wait to see if Mitt Romney wins or not and if the Republican take both houses. Because you know good and well; that the Democrats will enact strict Gun laws. It is that whole, “never let a crisis go to waste” thing.

Right now, prayers. Prayers for the victims, Prayers for the families —- and Prayer for our Nation. We’re about to lose it, if we are not real careful here. 🙁

Special Comment: When facts become passé

Unless you have been living under a rock somewhere, you most likely know about the tragic events that have taken place out in Aurora, Colorado on Friday June 21, 2012. The magnitude and scope of this horrific event have not even begun to settle in with the Nation, not to mention the world. The families of the dead are just now being notified, and the crime scene is still gone over by the police department and the FBI, ATF and many others. This horrific tragedy will forever be associated with this Batman Movie. Because of the tragic events in Colorado; no one, not matter who they are; myself included, will never be able to walk into a movie theater and feel safe ever again.

As many of you know, I once was a Democratic Party voter. I voted for that party from the time I was eligible to vote, until 2008. I am 40 years of age, so that should give you an idea of how long I have been voting. So, when I see someone who is supposed to be a respected movie reviewer, exploiting this horrific and tragic event to further his own political agenda — I have to wonder, has the left gone that mad?

I am of course, referring to Roger Ebert, of whom, at one time, I actually respected as a film reviewer — posting an opinion piece in the New York Times, which is supposedly the paper of record, on this event in Aurora, Colorado. In this piece, Roger Ebert condemns the right, condemns those who own guns, and dismisses the notion that anyone really should own a gun at all. This is typical boilerplate progressivism and liberal Democrat gruel from people like Ebert and I usually do not get bothered by such things.

However, when I see Ebert and people like him, actually resorting to the distortion of fact, I really have to wonder. Case in point, Ebert writes the following in his piece:

That James Holmes is insane, few may doubt. Our gun laws are also insane, but many refuse to make the connection. The United States is one of few developed nations that accepts the notion of firearms in public hands. In theory, the citizenry needs to defend itself. Not a single person at the Aurora, Colo., theater shot back, but the theory will still be defended.

Okay, this is where I actually have to correct a man, who is supposedly a respected writer and film critic. Here is the truth from the media:

Via USA TODAY:

James Eagan Holmes, 24, legally bought the four weapons he allegedly used. Police said he opened fire in a suburban Denver theater with four sold-out showings of the premiere of the Batman movie Dark Knight Rises. He was dressed head-to-toe in black bullet-proof gear, including helmet, vest, leggings and a groin and throat protector. He wore a gas mask, goggles, and black gloves.

You see, Roger Ebert omitted the fact that this man was wearing armor to protect himself from being shot at in the theater. Therefore, it would not have mattered at all, if someone would have shot back at him or not — that is unless someone was shooting armor piercing ammunition, which is generally not available to the public, unless someone happens to have an old stash of it. This is because of our over reactionary Government decided to outlaw those types of bullets after the North Hollywood Bank shootout that happened in 1997. This resulted in the outlawing of automatic assault rifles and armor piercing bullets. The ban on the assault rifles expired, but the ban on armor piercing bullets never did. This would leave someone unable to defend himself or herself against an attacker wearing body armor.

I do not believe this attempt to cover this little known fact up is an isolated incident. I believe as time goes on, the fact that he was wearing body armor is going to be buried by the media for a reason. The United Government does not want the American people to know that if someone in that theater, had been armed with armor piercing bullets, this killer could have, and would have been stopped dead cold in his tracks. Not to sound like an devotee of the “Alex Jones school for mental awareness” or anything; but, the fact is that we are living in a bit of a police state, where even the simplest of calls for things like domestic violence can get a swat team sent to someone’s house.

I believe this not to be an accident, our Government wants to have an upper hand on its citizens, and they are doing this by restricting access to those kinds of bullets. Because logic would tell one, that if an law enforcement officer knew that someone had this sort of ammunition, that they would be less inclined to perform some of the unconstitutional acts against the citizens of this Country that has been documented on various websites, including this one here.

This is what, we as Constitutional Conservatives, must fight against, the seizing of our freedom to own and possess a firearm. If left unchecked, laws that diminish our freedoms will be passed. If it were left to the “Liberal left” in this Country, we would be much like Europe, where there are no guns at all; and the only ones who own them would be criminals. This is our mandate going forward, even if Mitt Romney is elected, we must fight against those who would pressure the President to restrict gun ownership.

As Conservatives, we all know that love for this great Country of ours is imperative. However, blind, child-like trust of our Government is a futile mistake —– just ask Randy Weaver.
