Wal-Mart Stores Inc. is mobilizing its store managers and department supervisors around the country to warn that if Democrats win power in November, they’ll likely change federal law to make it easier for workers to unionize companies — including Wal-Mart.
In recent weeks, thousands of Wal-Mart store managers and department heads have been summoned to mandatory meetings at which the retailer stresses the downside for workers if stores were to be unionized.
According to about a dozen Wal-Mart employees who attended such meetings in seven states, Wal-Mart executives claim that employees at unionized stores would have to pay hefty union dues while getting nothing in return, and may have to go on strike without compensation. Also, unionization could mean fewer jobs as labor costs rise.
As a Libertarian, someone who believes in the individual rights of all Americans and as the son of a 31 year veteran of the United Auto Workers. To me, this is nothing more than voter intimidation. Wal-mart is dancing on the legal line here.
Wal-Mart should be investigated and fined, if it is found to be violating the law.
I turned to look over my shoulder to see who had uttered that ridiculous statement.
“Pardon Me?” I squinted at the dark-skinned man who had just interjected himself into my over-coffee conversation with my buddy, Kevin.
“Obama ain’t black.” He said again more matter-of-factly as he walked around the porcelain dividing wall and stood at our table where he could be more active in our conversation.
“My name’s Andree,” he said as he extended his hand. “I couldn’t help but hear what you boys had been discussin’ and I don’t mean to stick my nose in where it don’t belong, but I couldn’t leave without settin’ you straight. Obama ain’t black.”
I looked at Kevin as he shifted nervously in his seat, not sure how to take this visitor to our table.

I will simply say the following, that it is pretty telling when Obama is doing better in White America, out in places where blacks are in rare supply, than he is in the more urban communities.

I posted this, not for some stupid political ploy, not to be clever, but to remind everyone, no matter what your political stripe or conviction or feeling, You are, We are, all Americans. This is our land, and we should, at least once a year, stop and reflect on our freedoms. The freedom to write, the freedom to Pray to whatever God we wish or the freedom to not pray, at all. The freedom to agree, the freedom of dissent or to disagree, the freedom to assemble or simply the freedom to do nothing at all.

He might not win, but I will know that my vote went for someone who still believes in the old Paleo-conservative values that I hold dear. I will also know, that my vote did not go to a third term of George W. Bush, a Neo-Conservative, Globalist, Shill or a Socialist, Marxist, Liberal.
This notion that if you don’t vote for John McCain, that your vote is a vote for Hillary or Obama is the biggest lie and the great travesty ever heaped upon this Nation. Heaped upon it by warmongering bastards who want to send this Nation into a pit that it will never get itself out of.

DETROIT (AP) — An American Axle and Manufacturing Holdings Inc. spokeswoman confirms the auto parts supplier has reached a tentative agreement with the United Auto Workers that could end an 11-week strike.
Spokeswoman Renee Rogers says she doesn’t have any details on the deal, reached late Friday. It’s not clear when the agreement will be presented to union members.
The walkout by about 3,600 workers at five factories had crippled truck and sport utility vehicle manufacturing at General Motors Corp.
The company makes axles, drive shafts and stabilizer bars for GM, Chrysler LLC and other automakers.
GM was forced to partially or fully close more than 30 factories and lay off thousands of workers because of parts shortages.
Glad to see that these two got their differences settled and are getting back to work, considering the economic conditions in this area, this was no time to sit out a long strike, I’m glad to see that all parties are back to work and production will be able to continue.
I suppose some of you are expecting me to make a anti-union comment, sorry, I, as an independent thinker, believe that unions have a right to exist and stand up for the right of those whom the represent, yes, I am aware of the corruption that exists in some, but not all, of the unions, but that does not mean that the unions do not serve their proper purpose. I also realize that, thanks to the Hillary Clinton and her idiot husband, that passed the NAFTA agreement, the unions standing in America has been diminished somewhat, hopefully, the next President, of whom it seems Obama will be that person, will fix that lopsidedness of that agreement or opt out of it. Thus restoring the unions rightful place in America.
By that as it may, I wish the workers at American axle all the best, and now, get back to work!
