Video: One funniest interviews I’ve seen in a long time

This is Bill O’Reilly interviewing Glenn Beck. Now, at first, it’s a little slow. Bill talks about Glenn’s leaving the Republican Party; of which, Glenn back straightens him out on that little matter. Now the towards the end of this video is when the funny stuff starts. Give it a watch, you’ll love it.

With all the depressing news in politics as of late, it’s good to see a little lighthearted humor on Fox News. 😀

Bill O’Reilly speaks the truth about Nelson Mandela

It is good to see someone at Fox News Channel speaking the truth. It is a quite fair assessment, I think.

Amid the wave of grief over Nelson Mandela’s passing, and outpouring of fond memories about his inspiring deeds of greatness, came a harsh reminder from Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly: Let’s not forget he was a communist.

“He was a communist, this man,” Mr. O’Reilly said, during a Thursday night discussion with Rick Santorum about the fate of the Republican Party. The context for his comments about Mr. Mandela: He was trying to illustrate how the GOP could win more public favor for the next presidential election, Mediaite reported.

That’s when he blurted: “He was a communist, all right? But he was a great man. What he did for his people was stunning. … He was a great man, but he was a communist.”

Great Video: Bill O’Reilly puts Femi-Nazi Laura Ingraham in her place

Shoot your mouth off, you get your ass spanked on the factor and that’s what happened here.

Here’s Bill O’Reilly doing his Memo on the controversy:

Here he is putting a butch Femi-Nazi in her rightful place:

This is what I absolutely love about Bill O’Reilly, he does not take any guff from anyone, right or left; and the man tells the truth. This is why Bill O’Reilly is still on the air and Keith Olbermann is not; because he is not a partisan hack and Keith was. It is also because Bill O’Reilly tells the truth and people like this butch Femi-Nazi theocrat cannot handle it.

Update: Before anyone says it; As I wrote before, I am not pro-gay marriage. But, I happen to agree with O’Reilly, our side has not made a good argument for traditional marriage, other than the Bible. Like O’Reilly said, it is a losing bet. It also is a losing bet to have a particular religion controlling a major political party, like the Republican Party. I believe that the Government should get out of marriage altogether. It should be a church matter, and the Churches who choose to wed gay people, should do so; and those who choose not to, should not be persecuted for it. This is the fear of the Conservative and Republican; and yes, even Christian community, that if some Church says that they are not going to marry a gay couple that they could be sued or, even worse, have their 501c3 status revoked. This needs to be addressed as well.

Someone please tell Bill O’Reilly this, thanks.

Well put, I must say:

Northern intellectuals, then, need to get over their snobbery about the South. The Southern model is based on more than beggar-thy-neighbor policies. In any case, it seems to be working. On the other hand, the South’s boosters shouldn’t exaggerate its distinctiveness. Like the North, the South does best when it encourages innovation and high-skill employment. And that takes more than just cutting taxes and regulation. – Is America’s Future Southern? | The American Conservative

Someone finally said it, something that I have been thinking for a very long time.

Jon Steward does the O'Reilly Factor

I posted part of this last night. Here is a the complete interview, both parts.

Update: I would remiss, if I did not quote this:

That’s a cute point he makes about the progression (or non-progression) from Richard Reid to Abdulmutallab over the course of eight years, but what about Madrid, the London bombings, or even the NYC subway plot that was busted in September? He’s either awfully ill informed or awfully glib about the severity of the threat. Two: Laying aside his bizarre shrugging at nuclear proliferation among jihadist states, in which dimension of reality did he discover that Iran is reliably, conclusively, indubitably “self-preservationist”? Given the regime’s intent on maintaining its own power at all costs, including by murdering protesters, there’s no reason to think it wouldn’t do something rash if it felt that power slipping from its fingers. What does it have to lose by firing a missile at Israel under those circumstances?

That is coming from someone, that was, not somewhere in Mid-America when the twin towers were hit; but like within a mile of the towers, when the planes went in. Many people do not get AllahPundit. I do, and this posting here, will help you understand him as well. I remember being scared out of my mind, when I got the news, that there was a plane on the way to the White House, that plane was flight 93. I could never even begin to imagine the horror of it being in my own town. Closest thing is the failed Detroit terrorist attack. I give AllahPundit, for all of his stuff that I do not agree with; mad props for being brave enough to stand up and say this sort of a thing and for continuing to Blog against Terrorism, and Jihad, despite being threatened. Good Job my friend and keep it up.

Free Speech Attack: Grand Rapids TV Station pulls American Family Association's Program on Radical Gay Agenda

This is disgraceful and a bit local to me here. This comes via the Detroit Free Press:

WOOD-TV 8 has decided not to air a controversial, one-hour paid program sponsored by the American Family Association due to criticism from the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community.

“Speechless: Silencing Christians” targets the “radical homosexual agenda” and has garnered enough criticism to cause the Grand Rapids television station to pull the program.

After proposing that the program be moved from the Monday slot prior to President Barack Obama’s 8 p.m. news conference to a Saturday afternoon spot, the station made the decision to pull the program altogether.

“We made a gesture of the 2-3 p.m. Saturday time period. It’s been 24 hours and we had no response,” station General Manager Diane Kniowski told the Grand Rapids Press in a statement Wednesday.

“Our station is being bombarded with calls and messages, and we find ourselves in the middle of someone else’s fight. Ours was a fair offer and we are removing ourselves from this matter,” Kniowski said.

According to the Grand Rapids Press, “In a letter promoting the program, the American Family Association asserts that most Americans get their ‘information about the homosexual movement from the secular news media and Hollywood, which not only support but promote the gay agenda. What people know is tainted by pro-homosexual propaganda.'”

The Human Rights Campaign, the nation’s largest LGBT civil rights organization, initiated a national action alert in response, urging people to call the television station and ask that the program be canceled.

“At a time when America is striving to come together, the AFA continues to use LGBT Americans as a wedge issue to divide us from reaching our basic equality,” said HRC President Joe Solmonese.

This is just another attack on the freedoms that Americans enjoy; freedom of speech, and for that matter, who says that gay people should be equal? I don’t care what they do behind closed doors, but when they try and rewrite the Constitution, I got a problem with it. I believe that the AFA has just as much of a right to say what they wish, as does the HRC. This attempt to intimidate a TV station into not broadcasting something like this, is just another case of Liberal fascism. Plain and simple.

I will be e-mailing this Blog entry to FOX NEWS and to Rush Limbaugh.
