Let My People Go: The War Against the Eradication of the Global Church

Beheadings. Crucifixions. Staged mass executions on display for the world to see.

Radical Islamic extremists are targeting and terrorizing Christians and other religious minorities throughout the Middle East and Africa. Attacks are now spilling over into Europe and the West. Religious persecution is expanding dramatically and religious minorities – especially Christians – are now facing horrendous attacks – and all too often – death.

This persecution cannot be ignored. It is critical that we speak out – sound an alarm – be a true voice – a powerful advocate – for the persecuted church.

In Let My People Go: The War Against the Eradication of the Global Church, ACLJ Films shares the powerful stories of the persecuted and those fighting for their freedom. This documentary goes behind the scenes to tell the compelling stories of a number of Christians who have been targeted because of their faith. Imprisoned American Pastor Saeed Abedini remains captive in Iran. His wife, Naghmeh, and their two young children face extraordinary pain and uncertainty. In Pakistan, Asia Bibi is imprisoned – on death row. And there are other Christians including Meriam Ibrahim and Pastor Youcef Nadarkani who have faced persecution for their faith, as well. ACLJ Chief Counsel Jay Sekulow and others provide a detailed look at what’s behind this persecution – the rise of ISIS – the Islamic State. The goal of these radical jihadists: to wipe out Christianity. In a dangerous world where there’s growing chaos and conflict, there is still hope. We take a look at what can be done. And we shine a spotlight on the defenders of the faith – the men and women who are putting their own lives at risk to stand-up for the persecuted church.

“Let My People Go” is a powerful look at this battle – a critical fight against religious persecution around the globe. And what can be done – what must be done – to save the persecuted church.

Remember Christians who are being persecuted around the World

The Story via The Christian News Network:

Christians worldwide will be observing the International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church today by joining together to intercede for those who daily suffer for their faith in Jesus Christ.

The organization Gospel for Asia (GFA) reports that 14,000 people around the world are martyred each year for their faith, but believes that actual figures could be even higher.

“Jesus promised his church that there would be persecution and tribulations,” said President GFA KP Yohannan. “Tens of thousands of believers, missionaries and pastors are experiencing the reality of persecution on a daily basis. Yet they recognize the honor it is to suffer for his sake. May the Lord lead us with his burden to intercede for these brothers and sisters.”

The organization notes that just last month, an elder for a church in Nepal was killed while praying for the sick, and the month before, Christians who were worshiping at their church in Pakistan fled for their lives as suicide bombers left 81 dead and 140 injured.

Indeed Jesus did say that His Church would be persecuted. Please keep these people in your prayers. More on this subject at Gospel for Asia’s website.

It is not everyday that I happen to read something in the blogging world or on the internet that gets my dander up. But, I just happened to catch something over on VDare.com that really had me seeing red.

Steve Sailer over at VDare.com happens to highlight a posting of Matthew Yglesias over at Slate that links to an article by a Christopher T. Mahoney who used to be the former Vice Chairman of Moody’s.

In this article, he, of course, rips on the right and the austrian school of economics; which is fine, he is a liberal and they really do not like the idea of hard money.  But this quote below goes further than that, it is a stereotyping of Jews and Gentiles. Check it out:

Why is the Right so in love with hard money, low inflation, and high unemployment? Here is my answer: because they do not believe that there is such a thing as a free lunch. You could spread out a smorgasbord of caviar, salmon, lobster and Dom Perignon, and they would turn their heads and eat a cheese sandwich. Reflation is easy and thus sinful. It’s that Protestant thing. The only people who understand monetary policy are Jews and Catholics.

Now, let me ask you a simple question. Could you imagine the outrage, if someone, like me; wrote about the travails of the fact that Jews basically run the federal reserve bank? Which is sort of true. Anyhow, would I not be condemned as an anti-semite? I have been, I know what that is all about. So, why does this guy get away with basically saying that non-Catholics don’t get banking and money? Is that not a bigoted statement? I believe it is, and think this man needs to apologize for this sort of rubbish.

Why, you ask? Because it plays into a bunch of negative stereotypes about Jews. Secondly, it strikes me a greatly bigoted towards Protestant Christians. I mean, if I cannot get away with making asinine comments about Jews on this blog, which I would never do. Then this guy should not be allowed to get away with writing this sort of rubbish at all.

It amazes me how liberals just love pushing division among Americans like this here. It is their MO and they’ve been doing it for years; but this is just outright blatant and it should not be tolerated.

Memo to the Pro-Life Community: This is NOT how you defend your position!

Absolutely ignorant:

As the House of Representatives gears up for Tuesday’s debate on HR 1797, a bill that would outlaw virtually all abortions 20 weeks post fertilization, Rep. Michael Burgess (R-TX) argued in favor of banning abortions even earlier in pregnancy because, he said, male fetuses that age were already, shall we say, spanking the monkey.

“Watch a sonogram of a 15-week baby, and they have movements that are purposeful,” said Burgess, a former OB/GYN. “They stroke their face. If they’re a male baby, they may have their hand between their legs. If they feel pleasure, why is it so hard to believe that they could feel pain?”

via Texas Congressman: Masturbating Fetuses Prove Need for Abortion Ban.

I am as pro-life as they come; although, I happen to believe that abortion needs to be decided on the state level and not the federal level. Anyhow, this above is about the stupidest thing that I have ever heard coming (uhhh…huh huh huh…. shut up Beavis) from the mouth of a pro-life supporter.

Let’s defend life, but, please, let’s defend life in a wise way and not like this! 🙄

Some Christians

It seems that not all places that hang the so-called “Christian” banner are such.

I have in the past been a member of Christian Forums, which used to be owned by a Christian doctor, and was a respectable place, at one time. Anyhow, the place was sold to some guy who is into the “go along to get along” mentality and, it shows there too.

I show up there, after not being on that forum in years. I make my presence known and I get treated to, “your site sucks!” and “it’s a sin to be a nationalist!”

I respond back to the criticism with my trademark snark and what happens? I get banned.

This right here, is why I quit going to Church altogether. Because of the self-righteous BS that goes on in the Church world today. If that is what Christianity is about today, then I’ll stay away from them.

As I said in the title: some Christians. 🙄

Update: I went back and checked, I was supposedly banned for Spam. Which is idiotic, I never spammed that forum, I was banned for my politics.
