Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) has taped an advertisement apologizing for her televised comments calling Barack Obama anti-American, according to a Republican source familiar with her campaignâs decision.
Bachmann campaign spokeswoman Michelle Marston said the campaign will be airing a new advertisement this afternoon, but declined to comment specifically on whether Bachmann would be apologizing in the spot.
âYouâll just have to wait and see,â Marston said.
You should have thought of that, like last week, right after you said it, moron. It’s too damn late, because your democrat challenger has raised enough money to buy the damned election.
What an idiot! đ
(fixed typos and misspellings… what I get for rushing to get content out! Ooops!)
In fairness, I am writing this posting. It seems now that there are some serious questions being raised about this young lady’s story. I realize that my inital reaction to this, was a bit more, well; reactionary.
It seems now that the police are going to get a polygraph and speak with her again. I know Malkin‘s nose was twitching about this right off the bat. I simply had the reaction of what normal, red blooded, America, White, Males should have, when they see a woman being victimized. In short, I flipped my shit…. I’m allowed, I’m a guy. đ đ
In all seriousness, if the woman was lying, throw the book at her. If she’s not, then the police should get to looking for the idiot that committed this crime, and find him fast and throw the book at him.
Either way, I’m sure justice will be served, one way or another.
You idiot liberals happy now that I issued this? Morons. đ
Update: Looks like Malkin was right…. This comes via KDKA-TV:
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ? Police sources tell KDKA that a campaign worker has now confessed to making up a story that a mugger attacked her and cut the letter “B” in her face after seeing her McCain bumper sticker.
Ashley Todd, 20, of Texas, initially told police that she was robbed at an ATM in Bloomfield and that the suspect became enraged and started beating her after seeing her GOP sticker on her car.
Police investigating the alleged attack, however, began to notice some inconsistencies in her story and administered a polygraph test.
Authorities, however, declined to release the results of that test.
Investigators did say that they received photos from the ATM machine and “the photographs were verified as not being the victim making the transaction.”
This afternoon, a Pittsburgh police commander told KDKA Investigator Marty Griffin that Todd confessed to making up the story.
The commander added that Todd will face charges; but police have not commented on what those charges will be.
According to police, investigators working on the interview process detected several inconsistencies in Todd’s story that differed from statements made in the original police report.
Pittsburgh Police Public Information Officer Diane Richard released a statement earlier today, saying: “Because of the inconsistencies in her statements, Ms. Todd was asked to submit to a polygraph examination which she agreed to do.”
No photos of Todd are being released by Pittsburgh Police at this time.
The investigation is continuing as officials determine what charges will be filed.
Throw the book at her. The bitch. Use us bloggers like that to garner sympthy for the hoe. Fucking lock her in the jail and throw away the damn key. đĄ
Update 3: It’s now being reported that she etched the “B” herself. What an asshole. Memeornadum has the blogger reaction from both sides of the aisle. Needless to say, there are many people who are pissed about this, on both sides of the political spectrum, and rightly so.
Update 4: College Republicans Have Released a statement: (via HotAir)
âWhen Ms. Todd initially contacted us claiming to have been attacked our first reaction was obviously to be concerned for her safety. We are as upset as anyone to learn of her deceit, Ashley must take full responsibility for her actions.â – Ashley Barbera, Communications Director
âWe have terminated her effective today. Obviously, we had no idea she was making this story up.â – Ethan Eilon
Good on them for doing this. In the end, this is only to hurt McCain’s campaign and the Republicans image. I have to give the ol’ gal credit, Michelle Malkin, was, in fact, right all along.
A McCain-Palin campaign volunteer who claimed she was robbed and cut by a supporter of Sen. Barack Obama has confessed to making up the story, Pittsburgh police Assistant Chief Maurita Bryant said this afternoon.
Ashley Todd, 20, of College Station, Texas, is charged with filing a false police report. She told investigators she has had psychological issues in the past and Bryant said detectives are working with the Allegheny County District Attorney’s office to determine whether Todd should be released on the misdemeanor charge or taken to a hospital for evaluation.
“She just opened up and said she wanted to tell the truth,” Bryant said. “She was upset with the media for blowing this into a political firestorm.“
HUH??? Let me get this straight, we’re in the middle of the most historic election ever, and this bitch pulls a stunt like this and she’s pissed off, because people dare to speak of the political ramifications? Oy! and they call me a screwball?!?!? Ha! đ
Todd, of College Station, Texas, admitted there was no robbery or attacker and said she had prior mental health problems, according to Bryant.
It’s not yet clear whether Todd’s face was mutilated by her, or if she had somebody else do it, because a police report states that she told them she can’t remember
âOf course, the best that useless Marxist Magic Negro can say isâ
You a racist? What would make anyone say that? Was Obama on the street coner? What the Hell did you expect his campaign to say? Didn’t I read somewhere that he is dealing with the very real possibility that the woman who raised him is dying? Please don’t be a bottom feeder.
At the risk of sounding like Mark Levin, I would expect that idiot liberal to at least pay for the young womanâs medical bills, even personally call her and express his sorrow for the attack. But did Barry do that? No! Best he could do is issue some rather lame statement through his fucking campaign!
As for your allegations of racism. Donât make me laugh. Iâve got black friends and white friends and friends of other races as well. But even if I were a racist bigot, isnât my constitutional right to be a racist? Am I not a free American? Since when did it become a fucking federal offense to happen to not care for a particular race? The truth is, it is not or has it ever been, or will it ever be, unless some stupid idiot liberal manages to pass a piece of legislation outlawing the disliking of over races. Which in that case, theyâd better arrest all of the Latinos and Blacks up in Washington D.C., because from what I saw on a special on CNN, there is a group of them in Washington D.C. and thereâs a street, I believe it was 150âth street, that Latinos donât cross and blacks donât either, they stay on their respected sides, otherwise a war will break out.
Of course, because Iâm white, Iâm convenient for the blacks to target. Seeing how it has worked for years. Thatâs what keeps Al âInterloperâ Sharpton and Jesse âHymietownâ Jackson in business.
As to the socialist idiot who left the comment, my advice to you is, if you donât like what you read here. Thereâs plenty of Liberal Blogs out there to read. I donât force anyone to come here. Thatâs why the sign on the door says âModerate Libertarian Opinionâ. This is an Opinion Blog, of whom, it’s owner thinks socialism sucks. You might want to look that up.
FRANKLIN, Ind. (AP) â A Republican county election clerk distributed copies of an apparent chain letter referring to Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama as a âyoung, black Adolf Hitlerâ to two employees but later told police she intended it to be a joke.
The employees, who had voted for Obama in Indianaâs Democratic primary, discovered the letters at their desks after returning from Labor Day weekend, Deputy Sheriff Doug Cox said in a police report made public this week. One of the workers complained, and surveillance video showed Johnson County Clerk Jill Jackson placing an item one workerâs desk at 5:27 p.m. on the Friday of Labor Day weekend, Cox said.
âShe admitted to being responsible for the letter, but only did it as a joke,â Cox said. Jackson told police she had intended to speak with the workers upon returning to work but forgot.
I can see private citizens, but election officials? This woman ought to be fired.
It gets a wee bit racist too:
The letter does not mention Obama by name but makes references to his ties to a Chicago church whose pastor, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, adheres to black liberation theology. It is heavy with racial references, criticizing the candidateâs parentage with such comments as, âHe is proud of his âAfrican heritageâ (a father who got a white girl pregnant and deserted her)â and asking, âWhere is the pride in his âWhite heritage?ââ
The unsigned letter urges readers to send it to everyone they know.
Not smart, not smart at all. đ
Of course:
Indiana this year is considered a battleground state, and Obama campaigned there Thursday, drawing an estimated 35,000 people to a rally in downtown Indianapolis.
Johnson County is heavily Republican, with nearly three-quarters of the votes cast in the 2004 presidential election going to President Bush.
Just showing them true colors, as always. This is why I am not in that party.

The home of a Central Florida Republican headquarters manager was shot up and damaged over his support of Sen. John McCain, the man told police.
Rog Coverely said several pellets pierced his Longwood home. Coverely showed several spiderwebbed-holes in the front windows of his home.
The Republican manager said he is convinced he was targeted because of new McCain signs he added around his home.
“All I can tell you is this, I have a very good relationship with my neighbors,” Coverely said. “I mow my lawn. The only thing that has changed is I have two McCain signs in my front yard.”
Coverely said he has taken about 300 calls concerning stolen or vandalized McCain signs in the area.
“It says this campaign is getting vicious,” Coverely said.
Coverely said it appears Democrats are becoming more aggressive in the county.
“I wouldn’t say slipping, but I would say the Democrats have become far more aggressive in Seminole County because it is such a heavy Republican area,” Coverely said.
Meanwhile, McCain was in Florida on Thursday.
The Republican presidential nominee spoke at Allstar Building Materials in Ormond Beach. Later he’ll be in Sarasota for a “Joe the Plumber” bus tour rally at Robarts Arena.
Video:
I mean, I do not know about you. But I am more worried that if Barack Obama will be elected there might just be an outbreak of lawlessness. Even more so, if McCain wins. This is why I do not put Signs up at my house here.
A 20-year-old woman who was robbed at an ATM in Bloomfield was also maimed by her attacker, police said.
Pittsburgh police spokeswoman Diane Richard tells Channel 4 Action News that the victim was robbed at knifepoint on Wednesday night outside of a Citizens Bank near Liberty Avenue and Pearl Street just before 9 p.m.
Richard said the robber took $60 from the woman, then became angry when he saw a McCain bumper sticker on the victim’s car. The attacker then punched and kicked the victim, before using the knife to scratch the letter “B” into her face, Richard said.
Richard said the woman refused medical treatment after the assault, which happened outside the view of the bank’s surveillance cameras.
The robber is described as a dark-skinned black man, 6 feet 4 inches tall, 200 pounds with a medium build, short black hair and brown eyes. The man was wearing dark colored jeans, a black undershirt and black shoes.
Of course, the best that useless Marxist Magic Negro can say is:
The Obama-Biden campaign released a statement, commenting on the attack. The statement said “Our thoughts and prayers are with the young woman for her to make a speedy recovery, and we hope that the person who perpetrated this crime is swiftly apprehended and brought to justice.”
I know what I am thinking, but the last time I expressed my frustration, I made it to gawker.com. So, Iâll just keep my damn mouth shut. I think you all know what Iâm feelinââŚ
