Here is the reason why I had the issue with the Paulite with the Gun

As I wrote before, people coming to Presidential events with gun is a totally wrong, here is an example:

Police said a man arrested at the scene of President Barack Obama’s visit to the city Tuesday was found to be in possession of an unlicensed loaded gun.

Richard Terry Young, 62, of 821 Ocean Blvd. in Hampton, was arrested around 9:40 a.m., hours before Obama’s arrival, and charged with the misdemeanor crimes of criminal trespass and carrying a loaded pistol without a license.

Young was found inside Portsmouth High School, where Obama later in the day held his town hall-style forum. Young was detained by the Secret Service and subsequently arrested by Portsmouth Lt. Corey MacDonald. Young was carrying a pocket knife, police said. A subsequent search of his vehicle, parked on school property, revealed a loaded hand gun, police said.

Police said Young is being investigated by the Secret Service for possible federal crimes resulting from the same series of events.

Bail was not immediately set, and Young was in the custody of Portsmouth police on Tuesday night.

As I wrote previously, coming to a Presidential event with a gun serves no purpose than to cause trouble and only serves as a distraction to the secret service. The above example is what they would be distracted from. Luckily this guy was caught. He was not within the law and his now in jail, and that my friends, is a good thing.

As I said before, I totally support the right to bear arms; with the confines of the law. This man broke those laws and will now be charged for it. As a Conservative, I believe that this is the right and proper thing, as I believe in personal responsibility.

On Guns, Obama and the Right

I wanted to do a posting on this and I did not want to do the usual quoting someone else and then adding my thoughts routine.  On this posting, I did want to give my complete original thought with reference links as needed.  Yes, I am fully aware, as I am sure most of you are; about the idiot Ron Paul follower, who took it upon himself to bring his gun to an event that President Barack Obama was going to be attending.  I have also seen the interview that this person gave to Chris Matthews at MSNBC —-which I might add, that the man handled himself very well.  Being that he did not fall for the baited trap that Chris Matthews laid out for him.

However, on the subject of what actually took place here, was this man well within his Constitutional right; being he was well within the proper law to carry his gun, the answer to this question is an obvious yes.  The second question is and I will answer it; is this.  Was it really in the best interests of Conservative, Republicans, and yes, even libertarians and law abiding gun owners for this man to show up at a town-hall meeting where the President of the United States was going to be attending with a Firearm and a sign that says that the Government needs to be overthrown by a violent revolution?  I say this as not only Conservative who believes in the right to carry a firearm.  But as someone who believes in something, that is not found in this day and age of internet sound bites, called common sense —  I am going to come down on that side and say that this man was totally out of line and should been removed from the area.  The reason I say this is because I happen to know that our President is getting more threats on his life now, than when the previous Administration was in power.

Please, do not get me wrong, I fully believe in the right to carry and own firearms.  As long as that carrying of a firearm, is well within the proper laws of that said state.  However, I also believe that this man was horrible distraction to our Secret Service whose job it is to protect our President.  This is the huge difference between the mainstream Conservatives and yes, Republicans, who believe in the idea of “Rule of Law” and the whole “Viva Revolution” Ron Paul crowd who believe in a so-called peaceful (Wink Wink) Revolution.  The Ron Paul crowd believes that the “Rule of Law” infringes on the Constitutional rights of every American citizen.  This, in the opinion of this writer, is an extremist position that is rooted in the concept on anarchy.  This is the reason why I consider myself a Conservative, who leans more towards the thought process of a Republican than a libertarian one, because I believe in a moderate interpretation of the Constitution, and because I believe the concept of a rule of law.

The whole depressing aspect of this whole story is this, it simply feeds in to the socialist left’s talking points that guns promote violence and that the right are bunch of gun toting nut cases that run around waiting for a chance to shoot the President.  Which I happen to know is bunch of nonsense as does anyone else who has a half of a brain.  This is why I happen to believe that the Republican Party and generally Conservatives as a whole need to articulate a clear distinction, between the Constitutional extremists of the “Ron Paul” crowd and those of us who do not subscribe to that sort of a mindset.

Since when is this NOT a Hate Crime?

Oh this is not a hate crime, this is just some idiot negro tossing a brick through a Window.

Via The Austin Texas Statesman’s The Blotter:

Police are investigating a brick with an offensive message thrown into the window of an East Austin home.

The brick, thrown through a 4-year-old boy’s bedroom window, read “Keep Eastside Black. Keep Eastside Strong.”

The homeowner, Barbara Frische, who is white, said she has lived in the home for 10 years.

How is this NOT a hate crime?
How is this NOT a hate crime?

It’s the first time anything like this has ever happened to me,” she said.

Frische was featured in a Statesman Watch article published in May in which she lobbied for action to be taken on a charred house that posed a safety hazard.

She has not received negative feedback from area residents about the article, she said, and does not believe this morning’s incident is connected to it.

Police have not classified this incident as a hate crime, said Austin Police Sgt. Richard Stresing, because hate crimes target an individual specifically because of an identifying characteristic, like race. Police say the incident has been classified as criminal mischief and deadly conduct.

Incidents found to be based on race, sexual orientation, ethnicity, disability or gender are flagged as hate crimes, Stresing said, so they can be referred to the Department of Justice.

In Austin, law enforcement agencies notified the Department of Justice of five hate crime incidents in 2007, the most recent year statistics were available in the FBI’s Uniform Crime Report. Two were based on race, two were based on ethnicity and one was based on sexual orientation.

That is a decrease from 2006, when the city reported 13 hate crimes, eight of which were racially motivated, one was religion-based, two were based on sexual orientation and two were on ethnicity.

The state reported a total of 242 hate crime incidents in 2007.

It’s difficult to count how many hate crimes occur in Austin because people often don’t report them, said Lisa Goodgame, director of the Austin chapter of the Anti-Defamation League. She said many people are too afraid to approach law enforcement officials or human rights agencies about their situations.

“Just because we haven’t heard reports of them doesn’t mean they don’t happen,” Goodgame said.

Oh, no, this is not a hate crime. This just happens to be a brick, that was thrown by a black person into a White Person’s window; with a hateful note on it. Nothing to see here people, move along.

Welcome to post-racial America!

Al Sharpton would be proud. :pissedoff:

I should have titled this entry; another good reason to own a gun. Is because of stupidity like this. I hope the catch them. But we all know that in Post-Obama America, the very worst that they will get is a slap on the hand and maybe even a pat on the back from Al Sharpton himself! :pissedoff:

Guest Voice: How to Keep Our Kids Out of the "Trench Coat Mafia" by David Cloud

The following is written by a Fundamental Baptist Missionary, David Cloud; of whom a respect greatly. Please, keep this in mind when reading this.  I present this for informational purposes only.  As a disclaimer, the views expressed in this article are not necessarily those of this blog.

Updated April 23, 2009 (first published April 24, 1999) (David Cloud, Fundamental Baptist Information Service, P.O. Box 610368, Port Huron, MI 48061, 866-295-4143, fbns@wayoflife.org; for instructions about subscribing and unsubscribing or changing addresses, see the information paragraph at the end of the article) –

On April 20, 1999, two high school seniors filled with occultic hatred murdered 12 of their fellow students and a 47-year-old teacher at Columbine High School in Littleton, Colorado, before taking their own lives. The shooters also wounded another 20 students, some extremely seriously. At least one has never walked again and others have had long and difficult recoveries.

The Columbine murderers, Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold, used shotguns, a rifle, a handgun, and pipe bombs in the attack. They laughed as they destroyed and mangled their victims. Witnesses reported that “they were just hooting and hollering, having the time of their lives.”

They had planned to kill hundreds, but their larger bombs did not explode. They rigged bombs out of propane tanks attached to gasoline cans and strung them with nails to enhance the shrapnel effect and placed them in the cafeteria, planning to detonate them when the room was packed with students and teachers at the height of the lunch period. They planned for the ensuing fireball to collapse the second floor onto the lunch room and thus add to the mayhem. They also rigged similar bombs and placed them in their cars and set them to explode 45 minutes after the initial blasts, intending to turn the cars into fireballs that would kill more students, plus paramedics, police, reporters, and others who were responding to the tragedy. By God’s grace, none of the propane bombs exploded.

At least 75 people have been killed on public school campuses since the Columbine shootings. Between 1992 and 2006 there were 330 murders committed by students on school property. The carnage was perpetrated by self-centered, hateful, vengeful, foul-mouthed students.

Early news reports stated that the Columbine murderers were members of a loose-knit group of young people who wore long trench coats, black clothing, and other “gothic” attire and delved into occultic and violent themes, but part of this turned out not to be true. The teens were wearing trench coats the day of the mass murder, but they were not members of the so-called Trench Coat Gang. Early reports also speculated that the boys lashed out at athletes and other popular teens because they had experienced constant bullying and social ostracism. In fact, both boys had a fairly wide circle of friends and were the bullies rather than the bullied, and they did not target athletes or any other particular group. They hated everybody! “Dylan laughed about picking on the new freshmen and [others].  Neither one complained about bullies picking on them–they boasted about doing it themselves” (Dave Cullen, Columbine, 2009, p. 258). Eric went through his junior yearbook and defaced the photos of the majority of his fellow students, labeling them “worthless,” writing that they would die, or making an X over their pictures (Columbine, p. 257).

So much for that talking point!

I guess President Bambi Teleprompter will have to change his script again:

There’s no dispute that thousands of handguns, military style rifles and other firearms are purchased in the U.S. and end up in the hands of Mexican criminals each year. It’s relatively easy to buy such guns legally in Texas and other border states and to smuggle them across.

But is it true as President Obama said, that “More than 90 percent of the guns recovered in Mexico come from the United States?” No, it’s not.

The figure represents only the percentage of crime guns that have been submitted by Mexican officials and traced by U.S. officials. We can find no hard data on the total number of guns actually “recovered in Mexico,” but U.S. and Mexican officials both say that Mexico recovers more guns than it submits for tracing. Therefore, the percentage of guns “recovered” and traced to U.S. sources necessarily is less than 90 percent.

Furthermore, the 90 percent figure is based on a badly biased sample of all Mexican crime guns. Law enforcement officials say Mexico asks the U.S. to trace only those guns with serial numbers or other markings that indicate they are likely to have come though the U.S.

Fox News has put the percentage at only 17 percent, but we find that to be based on a mistaken assumption that throws its figure way off. We can’t offer a precise calculation because we know of no hard information on the total number of guns Mexican officials have recovered. But if a rough figure given by Mexico’s attorney general is accurate, then the actual percentage of all Mexican crime guns traced to U.S. sources is probably less than half what the president claims, and more than double what Fox news has reported.

via FactCheck.org: Counting Mexico’s Guns.

Leave it to a group of people, who actually have held position, say longer than a year; unlike our feckless President, to poke a huge hole in the Liberal MeMe that all the guns in Mexico and are coming from America. Interestingly enough, Fox News got disproved as well. Considering who owns them, I am not surprised at all. The truth of the matter is, and no one will say this; but I will. Most of those guns are coming Russia’s black market, and then are being shipped down through Mexico’s open borders.

So, it looks like the Liberal Democrats are going to have to find someone else to blame for Mexico’s gun problem and not us “Right Wing Extremists”, that the DHS just loves talking about. 😀
