This posting about Obamacare by a liberal progressive blog is very telling

It is very telling about the mentality of the progressive left towards anyone, who has any sort of money or success.

Quote:

I see the New York Times has published yet another article about very privileged people whining about the ACA.

In this case, said article features a couple making $100,000 a year who, under the ACA, will be paying $1,000 a month for health care covering themselves and their two sons. Take it away, Dean Baker:

Here they are with a front page story telling us about the tragic situation of the Chapmans, a New Hampshire couple making $100,000 a year who will have to spend $1,000 a month for insurance with Obamacare. This would come to 12 percent of their income. The piece tells readers:

“Experts consider health insurance unaffordable once it exceeds 10 percent of annual income.”

That’s interesting. If we go to the Kaiser Family Foundation website we find that the average employee contribution for an employer provided family plan is $4,240. The average employer contribution is $11,240. That gives us a total of $15,470. Most economists would say that we should treat the employers payment as a cost to the worker since in general employers are no more happy to pay money to health insurance companies than to their workers. If they didn’t pay this money as health insurance then they would be paying it to their workers in wages.

A couple of years ago, when my ex-husband and I were paying for health insurance under COBRA, we were shelling out something like $1,200 a month for just the two of us — and we were making far less than 100K a year. In fact, we were earning more like half that.

Enough already. In the real world we live in, $1,000 a month for good health insurance for a family of four in the top quintile of U.S. household income is pretty damn good. Upper middle class people, quitcher whining already — and New York Times, please stop enabling this nonsense.

via The New York Times and the ACA: the yuppie whine-athon continues by Kathleen Geier | Political Animal | The Washington Monthly.

I say it is telling, because it is the flawed mentality of the progressive left. Anyone who does not accept the idea that Obamacare is the perfect solution the problems of our Nation’s healthcare system are derided as whiners. Which is, in my opinion, a bunch of bullcrap.

This healthcare fix, was nothing short of a disaster. But, to this Obama apologist, the “yuppies” or those who actually work for living; ought to just shut and take what they’ve gotten. It is a flawed mentality and it will cost the Democrats votes in 2014 and 2016; I can assure you of that one.

I think it goes without saying; but this Democratic Party of my grandparents, and even of my parents era — is not the Democratic Party of today. Heck, this modern post-2008 Democratic Party is not even the same party that I voted for in 2000 and in 2004. Needless to say, I will not voting for that party any longer. Because the Democratic Party and the progressive movement as a whole, have proven to me, that they really do not give a darn about those of us, who usually want to work and those of us, who would like our own personal freedoms. It is a sad thing to say about a party, that Ronald Reagan once called the honorable party.

Needless to say, that honor left that party long ago.

Rule #1: Never, ever, ever lie about anything on the internet!

I happened to have run across this story over at Ace’s blog. I really do not know what this woman was thinking; but man did she ever step into it! SurpriseLoserDoh

The Story from one of the blogs over at Houston Press:

There are times when the good deeds that happen by the magic of the Internet make us quite giddy. This time? Well, this time they make us cringe, to the tune of $100,000.

If you haven’t read the “insightful” personal narrative that recently went viral, “Why I Make Terrible Decisions, or poverty thoughts,” there’s a good chance it’s somewhere on your Facebook news feed. This thing is everywhere.

The essay, which is being touted as a poignant look at the “terrible” decision-making processes of the poor, is the product of writer Linda Walther Tirado’s personal experience with poverty. Linda, a married mother of two, speaks of having to live in seedy motels, where there are roaches that she stabs with toothpicks. She can’t cook for her family because she lacks a kitchen, and she’s afraid of attracting more roaches, so they survive on junk food in said seedy motel.

Oh, and not only does Linda say she’s living in seedy motels and stabbing roaches, but she’s also working two jobs, taking a full load of college courses, and is banished to a life as a cook in the “back of the house” at a restaurant, as she is deemed too unsightly as a waitress — or apparently a legal secretary — due to an unfortunate set of teeth. She’s in desperate need of dental work, and her body is full of infection, but she can’t afford to spend the money on medical or dental care. It’s a tragic, tragic story.

It’s also tragically fictional.

There is more about it over at National Review and Mediaite; and boy does it ever get deep. The biggest and most important rule when it comes to the Internet, especially with charity, is to never, ever lie about anything at all. Because if you do, it will come out; one way or another. Stephen Glass did it, and he is still paying the price for it.

Not to toot my horn; but that is one thing that I have never done at all on this blog —— and that is lie about anything related to my personal situation here. Because I knew if I did, it would come back to haunt me. Now I will tell you this, I will share what I do truly have in my personal bank account:

bankaccount

In case you cannot see that, I have $73.70 in my personal checking account. I recently received a payment from infolinks.com, for about 2 years of running their ads here on my site. I was paid by Paypal. Anyway, that is my true situation here. However, because I am an honest man, I will tell you that I do live with my parents; and I do have a roof over my head and three square meals a day. Now, my parents have to foot my bill for medications, as I am diabetic, have high blood pressure and have ADHD. Plus, they pay for any and all doctor’s visits. So, it is not like I am on welfare or any other social program. Hey, at least I am honest about all of that. Heck, I could lie about everything here; but I am a bit more smarter than that. Again, anytime you lie about something like this woman did here; it always catches up with you.

I might be a bit of a jaded, opinionated old duffer; who’s bit of an eccentric. But, at least I am honest! Big Grin

As the old saying goes, “Honesty is the best policy.” Too bad this woman did not follow that teaching.

Update: …and of course, HuffPo doubles down.

Left Wing Jewish Hatchet Job on Hobby Lobby?

How is it that people that make up only 2% of the population of the United States of America can be so controlling over Christian Businesses, American Banking, American Politics — liberal and Conservative, and our entire entertainment industry? It just does not make sense.

Sure looks like it to me.

Via HuffPo:

(RNS) Hanukkah comes early this year. But it apparently never comes to Hobby Lobby.

The national craft store owned by conservative billionaire Steve Green seemingly refuses to carry merchandise related to Hanukkah because of Green’s “Christian values,” and some Jews are taking offense.

“I will never set foot in a Hobby Lobby. Ever.” wrote Ken Berwitz, the New Jersey blogger who brought the Hobby Lobby Hanukkah flap to light in a Friday (Sept. 27) blog post.

Berwitz’s outrage has spread to other bloggers who are taking Hobby Lobby to task as a store that courts the general public, but refuses to stock anything related to Judaism — even in communities with significant Jewish populations.

“If they want to sell all over the nation then they must include all people within that nation,” wrote a Jewish visual artist named Abbey on a blog post entitled “Is Hobby Lobby Anti-Semitic?”

Of course, the vultures are coming out of the woodwork to take their swipes at the so-called “Intolerant Christian”.  See here, here, here, and here. I will make a accusation: This is nothing more than a left winged Jewish attack against a Conservative Christian business, who refused to bow down to President Barack Obama’s stupid Nationalized healthcare plan. Obama figured out a way to get this guy and he called on some left-wing Jewish friend of his to do the job. Sad part is, some right-wing Jews got in on the act as well.

Of course, Hobby Lobby’s President fearing his company might be picketed or boycotted by these idiot pukes, issued the following statement:

UPDATE 10/4/13 10:15am: Hobby Lobby President Steve Green has issued the following statement on behalf of the company:

We sincerely apologize for any employee comments that may have offended anyone, especially our Jewish customers and friends. Comments like these do not reflect the feelings of our family or Hobby Lobby. Our family has a deep respect for the Jewish faith and those who hold its traditions dear. We’re proud contributors to Yad Vashem, as well as to other museums and synagogues in Israel and the United States. We are investigating this matter and absolutely do not tolerate discrimination at our company or our stores. We do not have any policies that discriminate; in fact, we have policies that specifically prohibit discrimination. We have previously carried merchandise in our stores related to Jewish holidays. We select the items we sell in our stores based on customer demand. We are working with our buyers to re-evaluate our holiday items and what we will carry in the future.

This is my problem: I just do not see why ANY business of any sort should have to apologize for its owner’s Christian values, to ANYONE. I agree, what the employee said, was mildly offensive. But, this idea that the owner of the company has to grovel before these pukes is an outrage! 😡

Now, had this been my company? This is the statement I would have put out:

Hobby Lobby is owned by a born again Christian. A Born again Christian who happens to know that the Jews of the Bible arrested Jesus of Nazareth; They charged him with false charges, brought him before a rigged trial, of which they could not even agree on the accusations — and then ordered him crucified.

Because of the knowledge of this fact; Hobby Lobby does not sell items for Jewish holidays. This is still the United States of America, and if a business owner chooses not to cater, suck up to or kiss the ass of a protected minority, that is his business. Hobby Lobby is a multi-billion dollar company and I am sure we will not miss the business of a group of people, who make up 2% of the population of the United States of America.

Signed,

Steve Green
Owner Hobby Lobby AKA Your Mom.

That, is how things like this, should be handled.

What hath Detroit wrought?

This: (via The Southern Nationalist)

One of the many significant disadvantages to Southerners of being in the Union is the periodic transfer of wealth by the US Federal Government of Southern tax dollars to non-Southerners, including foreign dictators, Islamic terrorist groups and failed Third World countries. Recently, the US government decided to transfer $300 million to a Third World city – which, in this case, happens to be located within the United States. The City of Detroit’s decline over the past half a century has become the stuff of legend. It is now symbolic of the decline of the USA as a whole, a microcosm of the loss of industry and the demographic transformation of much of the US into a Third World society. In 1940 Detroit was 90% White and an industrial power-house. It was one of the most affluent and productive cities in the world. By 2010 the city was just 10% White and 82% Black. White flight from the failed city has dropped the total population of Detroit by 40% over what it was in 1950.  Any way that one looks at the numbers associated with Detroit it is clear that it is a Third World city in the middle of the United States. If one took a Haitian city such as Port-au-Prince, dropped it in the middle of North America and periodically transferred wealth to it from outside it would look very much like Detroit.

As much as it pains me to admit this; Michael is absolutely correct. Sad I am from the “Detroit Area” currently and I grew up in Southwest Detroit in the 1980’s. Even back then, Detroit was a different place in a different time. There are a ton of reasons why Detroit ended up like it did; I blogged about that in the past.

There are times, when I honestly wish that I could just pack up everything and move to another part of the Country. The flathead valley in Montana is where I would love to go; but, as many Americans, I simply cannot afford to move and I have parents that need me here for the time being. SighSo, I do what I can and wait.

Finally: The liberal media is wising up to President Obama

Finally.

Via Newsmax:

President Barack Obama has recently been enduring some of the toughest and widespread media criticism of his presidency, not just from the right but, increasingly, from the center and left as well, reports Politico.

Time magazine political columnist and moderate Joe Klein, for example, told Politico’s Dylan Byers that the president’s public pronouncements on Syria are “inexplicable and perplexing and stunning.”

“Obama has lost some serious altitude: In the world, with the Congress, and most importantly with the American people,” he said.

Byers noted in his column Monday that the tone of both the news coverage and editorial analysis from reporters and pundits from across the political spectrum has been tougher on the president of late.

Even Media Matters for America, the liberal watchdog group that monitors conservatives, pointed out that there has been a new level of hostility directed towards Obama from previously sympathetic quarters.

“It is now almost universally hostile,” Eric Boehlert, a senior writer at the organization, told Politico. “It’s become consistently critical.”

Well, when you straight up lie to people in two elections, you should expect such hostility! AngryI just have to wonder about people who go into the tank for people like Obama. I really do. Raised EyebrowRolling EyesLoserThinking

Here’s another black on white crime that you’ve never heard about!

Because our liberal media refuses to report about it.

White Hater and Black Criminal – Lee Sanford

Last week, Las Vegas Metropolitan Police arrested Lee Sanford, 53, after he reportedly went on a stabbing spree along the famed strip.

In all, four people were stabbed, all of whom were white.

One of those targeted was Laralynn Stock, who was in Vegas on her honeymoon. She was stabbed from behind, as the couple walked back to their hotel.

The victim’s husband, Jackson Caldwell told KTNV:

“When I saw it was a knife, I thought it was a fake knife, and he was going around doing pranks,” said Caldwell. “(My wife) said lets go, he’s just a weirdo. She put her hand back there and when she pulled it out there was blood.”

Police officers caught-up with Sanford at a nearby McDonald’s. He was holding a bloody, nine-inch kitchen knife, according to police.

Sanford was quickly taken into custody without incident.

When asked why he went on the stabbing spree, Sanford replied: “because white people like to mess with the poor,” according to court documents.

The most seriously injured victim, a woman who was stabbed in the abdomen, required extensive surgery.

All four victims are expected to make full recoveries. However, because the knife was used on multiple victims, a series of blood tests will need to be performed on all of those stabbed to check for diseases.

The tests will likely take more than a year to complete.

Sanford has been charged with four counts of battery with a deadly weapon. He is currently being held at the Clark County Detention Center.

Despite the obvious racial overtones to the attacks, no hate crimes charges have been filed.

As I have reported on here before, this isn’t the only thing blacks like to do to white people. They have also killed my family and screwed me out of getting a good job. This is an Obama World until 2016, Enjoy! Sick

Debate this

This liberal blogger here seems to think that my cousin getting murdered is funny.

I’m thinking a nice blog swarm is needed here. 😡

Update: Besides mocking my dead cousin, this liberal, whom I assume is black, made this statement on his blog:

I wuz robbed. Farewell, Unca Cletus

That right there is a racist statement. Calling a white person Cletus or Roscoe; which is a reference to the 1980’s show, “The Dukes of Hazzard”, is nothing more than an underhanded swipe at me, for being a white person. It is another way of calling me a stupid white redneck.

Nice to see that the Democrats are still living up to their historical reputation of being nothing, but a bunch of racist bigots. It was that whites were bigoted against blacks. Now, it has changed, it is the blacks which are bigoted against the whites. Same hatred, different players.

File this under “If the shoe was on the other foot”

It is not everyday that I happen to read something in the blogging world or on the internet that gets my dander up. But, I just happened to catch something over on VDare.com that really had me seeing red.

Steve Sailer over at VDare.com happens to highlight a posting of Matthew Yglesias over at Slate that links to an article by a Christopher T. Mahoney who used to be the former Vice Chairman of Moody’s.

In this article, he, of course, rips on the right and the austrian school of economics; which is fine, he is a liberal and they really do not like the idea of hard money.  But this quote below goes further than that, it is a stereotyping of Jews and Gentiles. Check it out:

Why is the Right so in love with hard money, low inflation, and high unemployment? Here is my answer: because they do not believe that there is such a thing as a free lunch. You could spread out a smorgasbord of caviar, salmon, lobster and Dom Perignon, and they would turn their heads and eat a cheese sandwich. Reflation is easy and thus sinful. It’s that Protestant thing. The only people who understand monetary policy are Jews and Catholics.

Now, let me ask you a simple question. Could you imagine the outrage, if someone, like me; wrote about the travails of the fact that Jews basically run the federal reserve bank? Which is sort of true. Anyhow, would I not be condemned as an anti-semite? I have been, I know what that is all about. So, why does this guy get away with basically saying that non-Catholics don’t get banking and money? Is that not a bigoted statement? I believe it is, and think this man needs to apologize for this sort of rubbish.

Why, you ask? Because it plays into a bunch of negative stereotypes about Jews. Secondly, it strikes me a greatly bigoted towards Protestant Christians. I mean, if I cannot get away with making asinine comments about Jews on this blog, which I would never do. Then this guy should not be allowed to get away with writing this sort of rubbish at all.

It amazes me how liberals just love pushing division among Americans like this here. It is their MO and they’ve been doing it for years; but this is just outright blatant and it should not be tolerated.
