Bush endorses John McCain

On one hand this endorsement will be a good thing, amongst hardcore Republicans. However, amongst the Independent voters and those who are not pleased with the Bush Administration, this is basically a death sentence.

The Story: Bush endorses John McCain for president (via MSNBC.COM)

President Bush endorsed Republican nominee-in-waiting John McCain on Wednesday, two bitter rivals from the 2000 presidential race joining together now in hopes of preventing Democrats from winning the White House this fall.

"John showed incredible courage, strength of character and perseverance in order to get to this moment and that’s exactly what we need in a president — somebody who can handle the tough decisions, somebody who won’t flinch in the face of danger," Bush said, appearing with McCain in the Rose Garden.

The Video:

Again, while this may seem to be a great thing for John McCain and his campaign. To the Democrats, this is just fresh bait. For John McCain to say, "Yeah, I’ll let George W. Bush campaign for me!" is a death sentence amongst the Independent voters.

Because quite frankly, the President has like a 19% approval rating. You think Bush will be a helpmate to his Campaign? I highly doubt it. More like a paperweight!

I look for him to lose and lose hard, sorry to say it, But if the majority of America sees him as an extension of the current President, he doesn’t stand a chance in the general election.

The snort worth comment was the "I will tell him to be careful in who he has choose his running mate". A very funny reference to Dick Cheney. Bush’s dancing before the conference was quite funny too.

Before anyone calls me an Anti-Republican, please, hold your fire, I’m just a realist. I also have issues with the Democrats as well, especially Hillary.

Radio News Anchor quits job after News Director pulls her story.

Via f-brilliant:

KKOB Radio afternoon drive time news anchor Laura MacCallum quit her job last Thursday after the station’s news director pulled her stories about alleged vote-buying efforts at the recent Bernalillo County Republican Party delegate nominating conventions.

MacCallum, a 32-year radio and TV news veteran who has worked in Chicago, Denver and Los Angeles, said the station caved to complaints from Congresswoman Heather Wilson’s Senate campaign about the stories. Wilson campaign spokeswoman Whitney Cheshire called the station to argue the unfairness of stories alleging that many delegates to the ward conventions were paid by Wilson’s and other campaigns to show up and cast their votes for certain delegates. – Read the Rest

Hmmmmm… Interesting story. Thinking

Should be interesting to see how this one plays out.

I have fixed feelings about this

Is this a genuine desire to help a family, or is it a effort to capitalize on the death of a U.S. Solider?

Didn’t he have insurance?

Did his family get a nice settlement when he was killed?

Are they just trying to prey on the emotions on those who support our Military?

As Michelle Malkin well put it, "SUCK.IT.UP!"

I mean, I have a disability as well, I was born with Attention Deficit Disorder with hyperactivity. But you don’t see me setting up a "Feel sorry for me page", do you? No.

I admit, I’m the eternal pessimist and a proud cynic. I make no apologies.

Right Wing Bloggers for Jesus! WOO HOO!

Yeah, I know it’s a gay title, but I thought it was funny. Tongue

The Story:  Blogging While Female (Via Right Wing News (Conservative News and Views))

Every so often in the blogosphere, on the Left and the Right, hostile debates over gender seem to rise up to the surface like a leviathan from the depths. Some male bloggers tend to think women get more links because they’re women, some female bloggers think there’s some sort of a "good ol’ boys" club that keeps them from getting big, and more than a few people seem to get huffy about the whole debate.

However, the fact is that the issue is much more complex than it appears on the surface. The blogging experience ISN’T THE SAME for men and women. There are different advantages, disadvantages, and challenges that both men and women have to face.

I read two of the female Bloggers, Michelle Malkin and Rachel Lucas. Rachel Lucas is very, very, very, funny. I was shocked that they didn’t even mention Mary Katherine Ham, of whom I think is quite the looker. Ericka Andersen and Amanda Carpenter aren’t nothing to sneeze at either. Of course, I’m a 35 year old wrinkled up old fool and those ladies are like kids to me, so, all that’s just a faint dream for this old fart. Sad Ah well, such as life. Big Grin

The Great Puppy Caper

It’s a pretty rough video to watch, I’m told, I haven’t seen it. I’m referring to the video, that everyone is talking about.

The consensus is, that it is faked.

But that doesn’t stop the anger of those on the more progressive side, I’m listening to MSNBC and they did a story on it, and they said that the possible suspects have gotten death threats, had their addresses and telephone numbers blasted all over the Internet.  That the guys had to disconnected their telephone numbers.

According to MSNBC, the military is investigating.

I urge calm amongst everyone, let the military investigators do their job.
