In comments published in the Israeli daily Hayom, Mr Peres said that “the possibility of a military attack against Iran is now closer to being applied than the application of a diplomatic option”.“We must stay calm and resist pressure so that we can consider every alternative,” he added. The drumbeat of war is expected to grow louder this week when United Nations nuclear watchdog, the IAEA, issues its most detailed report to date on nuclear research in Iran.It will provide what Western officials and experts regard as irrefutable evidence that Tehran is compiling the capacity and skills to build a bomb. It will be used as leverage for a fifth round of sanctions at the UN, but could also provide Israel, with the tacit support of Washington, to finalise plans for an air strike.Among its findings are that Tehran was helped by nuclear experts from two countries, believed to be Russia and Pakistan. The Washington Post reported that key assistance was provided by Vyacheslav Danilenko, a former Soviet nuclear scientist, hired by Iran’s Physics Research Centre.
Documents handed over to UN officials showed that he had worked for the Iranians for at least five years, giving lectures and sharing his expertise on developing and testing an explosives package that the Iranians have now succeeded in making part of their blueprint for a nuclear warhead.
Moscow, the closest thing Iran has to a big power ally, is deeply opposed to any military action against the Islamic republic, though Moscow has supported UN Security Council sanctions against Tehran.
“This would be a very serious mistake fraught with unpredictable consequences,” said Mr Lavrov, addressing reporters in Moscow. “Military intervention only leads to a multiple rise in casualties and human suffering.”
Looks like the old school Fundamentalists and dispensationalists, like C.I. Scofield were correct in their feelings years ago; when they said that a move on Israel, by Russia would happen, which would bring forth the second advent of Christ. First, however, the rapture of the Church must happen first. Look up my fellow believers, for your redemption draws near.
Go read here and read the roundups.
He’s toast. Nice try at a run Herman, but your just not cut out for National politics. Time to go back home man.

When I first threw up this blog, I just put in the name and description fields what popped into my head at the moment. I also picked what I thought would be a decent color — red. Well, after looking at it a bit. I decided to pick a color easier on the eyes and change the name a bit.
Hopefully this works a bit better.
As I wrote on Friday, I was working on a roofing job with my Dad and Cousin. The job was completed, we are; my Dad, my Cousin and myself, are ALL very sore. The hardest part was getting all those old shingles off that roof. Now truthfully the roof was not that big, but when you are an out of shape oaf like me; it tends to be a bit rough on the old body!
We not only had to replace the shingles, but parts of the actual roof, in the back of the side building had to be replaced as well.
Needless to say, I have a strange new respect for roofers and I also know why roofers hire Mexicans do that kind of work! (Yes, that is sarcasm and snark….)
I am going to be helping my Dad with a roofing project today outside. So, I shall be out of the loop.
I hope to be back tomorrow or at least later tonight.
See you then!
This is not a story that I enjoy writing; in fact it saddens me to even have to write it.

(Reuters) – Detroit is in “extremely serious financial condition,” as it is projected to run out of cash next year and must take action to avoid a state takeover, Mayor Dave Bing said on Thursday.
Michigan’s largest city is facing a projected cash shortage of about $150 million by the end of March, a statement from his office said.To avoid having a state-appointed emergency financial manager, the city needs to address pension and healthcare costs and “inefficient services” such as transportation and lighting, while labor union contracts need to be renegotiated before their expiration next June, the statement said.
“City government has to live within its means,” Bing said in the statement. “Continuing to do business the same way is not an option, given our extremely serious financial condition. The last thing I want is for Detroit to be run by an emergency financial manager, whether it’s me or someone else.”

The Story via AINA:
(AINA) — In mid-October Egyptian media published news of an altercation between Muslim and Christian students over a classroom seat at a school in Mallawi, Minya province. The altercation lead to the murder of a Christian student. The media portrayed the incident as non-sectarian. However, Copts Without Borders, a Coptic news website, refuted this version and was first to report that the Christian student was murdered because he was wearing a crucifix.
“We wanted to believe the official version,” said activist Mark Ebeid, “because the Coptic version was a catastrophe, as it would take persecution of Christians also to schools.” He blamed the church in Mallawi for keeping quiet about the incident.
Today the parents of the 17-year-old Christian student Ayman Nabil Labib, broke their silence, confirming that their son was murdered on October 16, in “cold blood because he refused to take off his crucifix as ordered by his Muslim teacher.” Nabil Labib, the father, said in a taped video interview with Copts United NGO, that his son had a cross tattooed on his wrist as per Coptic tradition, as well as another cross which he wore under his clothes.
Both parents confirmed that Ayman’s classmates, who were present during the assault and whom they met at the hospital and during the funeral, said that while Ayman was in the classroom he was told to cover up his tattooed wrist cross. He refused and defiantly got out the second cross which he wore under his shirt. “The teacher nearly chocked by son and some Muslim students joined in the beating,” said his mother.

According to Ayman’s father, eyewitnesses told him that his son was not beaten up in the school yard as per the official story, but in the classroom. “They beat my son so much in the classroom that he fled to the lavatory on the ground floor, but they followed him and continued their assault. When one of the supervisors took him to his room, Ayman was still breathing. The ambulance transported him from there dead, one hour later.”Prosecution arrested and detained two Muslim students, Mostapha Essam and Walid Mostafa Sayed, pending investigations in the murder case.
The father said that everyone in Mallawi knew how the event took place, but not one of the students’ parents was prepared to let their children come forward and give a statement to the police. “They are afraid of the school administration, which has lots of ways to harass the students, as well as being afraid of the families of the two Muslim killers.”
“I insist that the Arabic teacher, the headmaster, and the supervisors should be charged as well as the two students who committed the crime,” said Nabil. “The Arabic language teacher incited the students to attack my son, the headmaster who would not go to the classroom to see what is going on there when alerted to the beatings, but rather said to be left alone and continued sipping his tea, and the supervisors who failed in their supervising duties.
Religion of peace? I think not.
