I received this today.

Beginning this Wednesday (January 23rd, 2008), BlogPatron will no longer be
accepting new contributions.

To help protect our bloggers’ revenue streams, we will continue to process any
recurring contributions that are already in our database for as long as is feasible
— e.g., until the transaction is turned off by the patron or the credit card
expires.

NOTE TO BLOGGERS:  Please update your site as soon as possible, removing any
BlogPatron donation buttons or other links to your BlogPatron payment page, and
replacing them with links to another payment processor.  To avoid inconveniencing
your patrons, please make this change before Wednesday, January 23rd, 2008.  If you
like, you can find information about accepting recurring contributions via PayPal
at: https://www.paypal.com/pdn-recurring

We have enjoyed working with you since we launched the BlogPatron service in June.
In the months since, we’ve been pleased by the numbers of both bloggers and patrons
who have found our service useful.

Why are we closing BlogPatron?  In a nutshell, our financial model was partly based
on the assumption that most patrons would want to support multiple bloggers,
enabling us to make a small profit (based on the difference between the number of
patrons we bill each month, and the number of bloggers who were supported by those
contributions, and the transaction fees associated with each).

Unfortunately, this assumption has proven to be largely incorrect, making it
impractical to continue offering our service.  We apologize for any inconvenience
this creates, and we look forward to working with you to make the transition go as
smoothly as possible.

Please feel free to write us with any questions or concerns you may have.

Sincerely,

Joshua Zader

Not feeling well…

After staying up all night last night, (long story, don’t ask…) I’m not feeling too well today. I slept about 6 hours. SleepyYawn

I feel like a six cylinder ford pinto, that’s running on about three cylinders. All wadda wadda wadda and stuff. So, between between the yawning sessions and power naps. I’m pretty much useless.

I’m following the headlines, but I’m not much for insightful commentary today. I should be back in shape tomorrow,  hopefully!

I'm still around……..

Good Morning Everyone,

It has been a while since I’ve Blogged anywhere. A couple of days. It feels very strange not having my own Blog on my own Domain.

Yes, that’s correct, my personal Blog over at my old domain got hacked. I decided that after losing all that work. That I did not want to risk loosing anything else, on an server, that I could not trust to me secure enough. So, I canceled the domain and the account.

You asked, who would do such a thing? I know did it, I’m about 99.99% sure that the person who hacked me, was some idiot who had a axe to grind with me, over a Blog war, that erupted between me and another Blogger. This is was do to an "off the cuff" and distasteful remark that I made on my Blog after, a co-blogger from this Blog Here, took a swipe at me.  So, I took a swipe back, Which I apologized for, over 2 times for. I guess it wasn’t enough for them.

Who hacked me? Well, they say, they’re Conservatives, I got my own name for them. They’re thugs, Internet thugs who wave the banner of Conservatism. But in all honesty? They’re not Conservative. They’re a disgrace to the very name Conservative, They’re a bunch of Godless, Heartless, bread-dead idiot, Neo-Conservative, thugs. Thugs who have nothing else to do, but go around and hack peoples Blogs. What more can say about a bunch of fat, sweaty, college drop outs who’ll never amount to anything? But be a Blogger the rest of their lives?

Will I ever get another domain and Blog? Doubtful, unless they do quite a bit to improve security on the PHP platform and WordPress figures out a different way to store it’s information other than SQL Databases.

I am for the time being, Blogging over on Blogger.com, again. It’s just a little thing to comment on News Stories and Politics, it’s not going to be nowhere near the scope and intensity that my original Blog was. You can go see my Blog, by going here.

Happy New Year to All.
