Videos: What kind of Nation have we become?

Before I get into my posting; I need to say the following: There are two days out of the year, that I put this blog into a full stop mode, when it comes to politics. Those two days are Thanksgiving and Christmas; and usually New Years. The reason is this: my friends, there are more things important than politics. One namely is family, another is just to take time away from this blog and from politics in general and just enjoy one day, without having to endure through the raw sewer that is the American political system.

It would be nice for just one year, on Thanksgiving and Christmas, that I would not have to highlight the stupidity of progressivism on this blog. I normally would not waste bandwidth on what I am about to show you all; but, I think it is important for those that read this blog to see what sort of awful nation that this Country has become. Thanks to stupid unconstitutional laws; such as the civil rights act of 1964. Thanks to the liberal left and their entitlement mentality, thanks to the anti-Christian left in this Country, who wishes to ruin the traditions of America.

Having said that, here is a video, which makes this writer want to wretch.

This video from The Conservative Post; which makes my Christian side of me and my deep part of me; which utterly despises the over-commercialization of the Thanksgiving and Christmas Holidays — want to wretch. I am all for good old American capitalism; but, my goodness; this below is not that, not at all. This below is nothing more than out of control society; who is in need of salvation.

This video is a perfect example of the progressive, herd mentality of those who are actually foolish enough to believe that somehow or another that America is actually some sort of a democracy. This is also the result of what happens when the United States of America caters to a protected minority and allows them free rein to destroy the social underpinning of this great Nation of ours.

Here is the video:

Again, I hate having to write this sort of a posting on a sacred holiday as Thanksgiving; one Holiday in which a Christian, Traditional America actually supposedly gives thanks for the blessings that God has bestowed on this great Country of ours. However, what it has become; is what you have seen above, a Godless Nation of heathen degenerates, who put possessions and power; and the foolish act of temporary joy over the timeless and perfect peace of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Some people believe that prayer is the answer; some people believe that a so-called “revival” will help this Nation. I disagree. I believe that the ship of revival has sailed long ago. I believe that judgement is coming to America and it is coming swiftly. This judgement will not discriminate against anyonewhite, black, latino, jew or gentile. I believe that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is the ONLY the way out of this judgement. I pray that those who read this blog entry and realize that they need a Saviour and give their lives to Christ.

Because as bad as things are now; when the rapture of the body of Christ happens; and the Biblically warned tribulation starts, things will be much worse. I pray that you make that important decision today.

Update: It appears that Erick Erickson is somewhat on the same page as me. Outside of his use of a corrupt version of the Bible; I think he is right on target. I praise him for writing what he did. (even if he did allow anonymous slanderers to trash me before.)

Happy Thanksgiving 2013!

I just to wish all of my readers a very happy Thanksgiving!

Remember, we have much to be thankful for.

Also this Thanksgiving; let us all say a quiet prayer to those serving in our Military forces:

But, the most important of all, is this:

If I were the US, I would tell Afghanistan’s Karzai, “Sign the agreement or we leave in 48 hours!”

Next year?!?! How about in 48 hours?

The Story:

KABUL, Afghanistan –The White House threatened to withdraw all U.S. troops from Afghanistan next year, after President Hamid Karzai refused to sign a new bilateral security agreement.

Over the weekend, officials in Afghanistan endorsed a security deal that would keep United Stations troops in the nation beyond next year, but President Hamid Karzai denied the request. He wants the U.S. to bring more security to the country first. NBC’s Richard Engel reports.

The two countries remain deadlocked over future military involvement after an unsuccessful working dinner between Ambassador Susan Rice and Karzai at his palace in Kabul on Monday night.

In a statement, the White House said Karzai had outlined new conditions for a deal “and indicated he is not prepared to sign the BSA promptly.”

“Ambassador Rice reiterated that, without a prompt signature, the U.S. would have no choice but to initiate planning for a post-2014 future in which there would be no U.S. or NATO troop presence in Afghanistan,” the statement said.

via US to Afghanistan’s Karzai: Sign security deal or we’ll pull out all troops next year – World News.

If I were the President and Susan Rice, I would simply tell Karzai that either he signs the agreement or our forces would be out of Afghanistan in 48 hours. However, before that, I would quite forcefully remind Karzai that the only reason he and his predecessor were even elected to power; was because the United States of America overran the Taliban by Military force and forced them to allow a democratically elected Government.

I would also tell him this; If we leave in 48 hours and your Government gets overran by the Taliban again and you happen to find yourselves under the Islāmic extremists again — do not call us, because the United States will NOT be coming back here at all. The United States came to Afghanistan to get Osama Bin Laden after 9/11 and in the process of that, defeated the Taliban. We got our man and our being here is now moot. Now, this idiot is playing hardball; well, I would play it right back; and tell him that either he signs or we leave — and he can deal with the fallout, we did our job as far as this writer is concerned. We really do not need to be there; but for the sake of a few kids, who we don’t want to see living under extreme Islāmic rule.

Next year… 🙄 What is that going to do? Buy Karzai some time? I think it is time that we got tough with Karzai and tell him, “Either get with the program or we’re done with you and this Nation.”

Just my opinion.

Noted Cuban/Canadian interloper displays a lack of self awareness

Someone get this idiot a mirror please.

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) said in a recent interview that the filibuster rule change made in the Senate on Thursday will hurt the chamber’s ability to pass legislation.

“It will poison the atmosphere of the Senate,” Cruz said in an interview with Bloomberg Television’s “Political Capital with Al Hunt,” a transcript of which was posted online Friday afternoon.

via Cruz: Filibuster Rule Change ‘Will Poison The Atmosphere Of The Senate’.

You mean like when he poisoned the atmosphere in the house, when he lead the house Republicans into a ditch, without any plan to get out? What an idiot! Here is hoping that this so-called “tea party” twirp gets primaried in 2014.

My feelings on this Iranian deal

As you all know, there is a new agreement between the rest of the world and Iran now.

There is also a good deal of partisan and racial hand wringing on the right. Especially among the neoconservative Jewish right. 🙄 Not to mention Israel’s leadership, who are almost quite literally bouncing off the walls. To be fair about it; so are the Saudis. To get a good feel for just how bad the wall bouncing is; go have a look at the round-up of neoconservative and otherwise bloggers at Memeorandum.

A good place for a non-biased and non-partisan look at the details is found at Business Insider.

Here is my official take on the Iranian deal:

Some are calling this a huge blunder. I am not so sure about how much of a “blunder” it might be. But, rather an interesting move by the Obama Administration. They have actually been able to do something that no other presidential Administration has been able to do. They actually have gotten Iran to agree to a formal written agreement on nukes and nuke enrichment.

The upside to this: The Iranians will be able to pursue nuclear energy and will be able to power their Country; that is provided they stick to the terms of the agreement. Which is great, provided they actually do this. I would like to think that they would do such a thing.

However, I am a realist; and I also happen to know Iran’s track record on telling the truth, since the time that the Shah was deposed.

Here is the downside and yes, there is always one of those:

The downside to this agreement is this; if the Iranians renege on this agreement and the US and other Country tear up this agreement, then we are going to have another problem. Iran will be considered an unstable rogue nation and then, the war drums towards Iran will be begin beating in earnest on both sides of the aisle. As it is now, the neoconservative hawks in the Republican Party want to go war with the Iranians so bad that they can taste it. If Iran welches on the agreement; then both sides are going to have the argument that Iran’s leadership must be toppled and the war must happen.

I am not so sure that such a thing would even happen under Obama’s watch, as he does want to be seen as the President that tried to reach out to the Iranians with a fig leaf. However the next President would have to come in and deal with a situation as such. If the deal is reneged on; the war hawks would have their piece of leverage that they would really need to make the case for war.

To be fair, I have seen skepticism in both parties; and that is a good thing. I think that blindly trusting Iran is a futile mistake. However, I believe that Iran has just been given their own fair shot. If Iranians play their cards right, we might be seeing a new era. However, the skeptic in me thinks that the US and the major Nations have just baited a trap of war for the Iranians and they were actually foolish enough to walk right into it. For the sake of the future of this Nation and the World, I hope like the devil that I am wrong. However, knowing things like I do; I sadly believe that I am not.

Video: It’s all fun and games…..until someone gets shot in the head

D’oh!

The Story via New York Daily News:

Seconds later, a volley of bullets ring out, and the dance floor is suddenly covered in bodies.

Three people who had just been grooving to the wildly popular tune lie motionless on the ground, bleeding from their heads.

Guests scream in terror and flee the carnage as others begin tending to the wounded.

England’s The Sun reported three were killed and one wounded. The gunman was attempting to fire the AK-47 into the air in celebration, according to the paper.

The video could not be independently verified.

This happened in Yemen. 😯 Not much for gun safety there, are they? 😉

Reminds me of this here, sort of…:

Iran and World Powers Reach Deal on Nukes

Here’s the video: (H/T to Crooks and Liars)

The Stories via WaPo:

GENEVA — Iran and six major powers agreed early Sunday on an historic deal that freezes key parts of Iran’s nuclear program in exchange for temporary relief on some economic sanctions, diplomats confirmed.

The deal was reached after four days of marathon bargaining and an 11th-hour intervention by U.S. Secretary of State John F. Kerry and other foreign ministers from Europe, Russia and China. the sources said.

The agreement, sealed at 3 a.m. signing ceremony in Geneva’s Palace of Nations, requires Iran to halt or scale back parts of its nuclear infrastructure, the first such pause in more than a decade.

“We have reached an agreement,” Michael Mann, spokesman for European Union foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton said in a Twitter posting.

“We have reached an agreement,” echoed Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif in a separate posting.

…and from the NY Times:

According to the accord, Iran would agree to stop enriching uranium beyond 5 percent. To make good on that pledge, Iran would dismantle the links between networks of centrifuges.

All of Iran’s stockpile of uranium that has been enriched to 20 percent, a short hop to weapons-grade fuel, would be diluted or converted into oxide so that it could not be readily used for military purposes.

No new centrifuges, neither old models nor newer more efficient ones, could be installed. Centrifuges that have been installed but which are not currently operating — Iran has more than 8,000 such centrifuges — could not be started up. No new enrichment facilities could be established.

The agreement, however, would not require Iran to stop enriching uranium to a level of 3.5 percent or dismantle any of its existing centrifuges.

Iran’s stockpile of such low-enriched uranium would be allowed to temporarily increase to about eight tons from seven tons currently. But Tehran would be required to shrink this stockpile by the end of the six-month agreement back to seven tons. This would be done by installing equipment to covert some of that stockpile to oxide.

To guard against cheating, international monitors would be allowed to visit the Natanz enrichment facility and the underground nuclear enrichment plant at Fordo on a daily basis to check the film from cameras installed there.

In return for the initial agreement, the United States has agreed to provide $6 billion to $7 billion in sanctions relief, American officials said. This limited sanctions relief can be accomplished by executive order, allowing the Obama administration to make the deal without having to appeal to Congress, where there is strong criticism of any agreement that does not fully dismantle Iran’s nuclear program.

Naturally, Israel and their neoconservative friends are not pleased with this; which is not too terribly surprising.

I am going to make some changes

I was sitting here tonight and looking at some of the photos from the Reagan Library. While doing so I came a bit of a realization — I have done on this blog; what I have decried others doing: I have become a bit of an offensive conservative. Sure, as a Fundamentalist Christian; I have issues with Zionism, Judaism, Islam and Roman Catholicism; however, that does not excuse some of the stuff in my sidebars. So, I am going to remove them. I will, however, keep the gospel tract there for someone who might need to read it.

The reason for this is this: I was looking at the photos from the Reagan White House era. President Ronald Reagan was a Conservative; but, he was never an offensive man. He simply stuck to his principles, but not in an abrasive, nasty way. I realize now, that I should be following Reagan’s example of this; when it comes to all things. This is simply the Christian way, and I have failed in this area. Christian and Conservative principles are a good thing; but if they are exercised in a manner that is offensive, they become quite useless.

I will try to do a bit better from here on out.

Big Pharma is on the prowl for E-Cigarettes

They’ll get my E-Cig, when they pry it from my cold dead hands.

The Story: (H/T Jazz Shaw)

So, I’ll give you three guesses which industry is behind the global push to clamp down on e-cigarettes.

If you assumed concerned doctors or “consumer-rights advocates” are the driving force for regulation in Europe and the U.S., then you haven’t been paying attention to way profit and politics interact.

If you said Big Tobacco, close, but no cigar. Philip Morris, R.J. Reynolds, and Lorrillard all jumped in the e-cig game in the past two years. They’re not opposing regulation (the big guys rarely do), but they’re pushing back on the most onerous rules.

Big Pharma is the real foe of e-cigs, and Big Government is their weapon of choice — on both sides of the pond.

This fall, the European Parliament considered new rules regulating e-cigs. E-cigarette manufacturers, of course, lobbied like crazy to block the proposal, and it seems they won. But the drugmakers fought for stricter regulations, for obvious reasons: E-cigarettes compete with prescription drugs that are supposed to help people stop smoking.

GlaxoSmithKline sells Nicorette gum and Johnson & Johnson manufactures nicotine patches. The New York Times reported these companies helped lead “strong opposition” to e-cigarettes.

In the U.S., the Food and Drug Administration is about to announce new proposed rules on e-cigarettes. Big Pharma’s shadow hangs over the rule-making.

via Big Pharma, not tobacco companies, wages war on electronic cigarettes | WashingtonExaminer.com.

Yes, I use E-cigs, and yes, I am a Christian. Judge me, I do not care. I started back smoking, after that idiotic debacle that happened with a well-known trucking company. So, I decided that I did not want to inhale all of that crap that they put in cigarettes; and I picked up a Lava e-cig. It works well, gives me the same amount of nicotine; and I might actually live to see 70 years old!

Good ol’ crony capitalism; lets deny people a healthy alternative to tobacco products; so we can pimp our pills and patches! Unreal. 🙄
