You know, I do not get into the affairs of other bloggers much; but with this situation, I will make a huge exception.
Bruce Gerencser is a former Fundamental Baptist Christian and Pastor, and he runs the blog, The Way Forward. He is now a full-blown atheist and you know what? That happens to be his right as an American Citizen.
So, you can imagine my horror to see this bunch of tripe on his blog, written by supposed Christian of some sort:
What an ungrateful and stupid dog you are,ex-false prophet! How can you be so ungrateful to God who made you,although you are a disgusting, ugly, fat,stupid gluttunous creature, and how dare you speak against Him..at least be thankful for your existence, dog!
Don’t just support gays, also support incest and other God-forbidden vice.Why not serve as an example by marrying or fucking one of your daughters or granddaughters,ugly old stinking curse-to-mankind, after all no God is watching you, there is no judgment gonna come!So don’t worry,elephant.According to you, you can do anything you want, you shit! Don’t worry about JUDGEMENT! Maybe you’ll love it with your Down Syndrome-ridden daughter with an extra 21st chromosome! Or maybe Emma will do! Don’t you think that Polly’s an old useless bitch anyway? Which chromosome do you have extra? Maybe you miss one of the first pair which is responsible for brain development..you have no brain anyway.
No one’s safe around you, who has no fear of the all-loving Great God!Go kill yourself please and wake up in Hell! I do not know who sent this to Bruce, nor do I quite frankly give a rat’s derriere. However, I am going to say this to the person who left it, if he happens to come by here. I do not know which Jesus Christ that you serve, but it is quite obvious that you DO NOT serve the same one as me and all the Christians that I happen to know.
Now, I am going to quote some Bible, and to the atheists that see this; please, I am not trying to insult you all; I am making a point, so just read and learn. Bruce knows this stuff too; so, this is just review for him.
First off, Jesus said the following himself, it was recorded twice:
O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things. But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned. (Matthew 12:34-37 KJV)
I underlined those words for a very good reason. Mainly, because I happen to believe them and they apply in this situation.
Second spot these words of Jesus were recorded:
For a good tree bringeth not forth corrupt fruit; neither doth a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. For every tree is known by his own fruit. For of thorns men do not gather figs, nor of a bramble bush gather they grapes. A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh. (Luke 6:43-45 KJV)
So, you see; this person who left this message; they do not have heart of Christ. But of evil.
More Bible, if you do not mind:
Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. (Ephesians 4:29 KJV)
and…
But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints; Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks. (Ephesians 5:3-4 KJV)
There are many more that I could quote; but because I do not want this posting to go on and on, I will not quote anymore. My point is this: Just leave Bruce alone! It is not our job to try and bring Mr.Gerencser back into the fold, if you will. That is the job of the Lord. Does he need prayer? Yes, plenty of it. However, leaving idiotic, filthy messages like this, on his blog or to him in email, will do nothing to make that happen.
Not only that, but do you really honestly believe that you are doing anything for the cause of Christ or for the cause of winning someone like Bruce back into the fold? Let me give you a freakin’ clue:
NO, YOU’RE NOT!
So, please, let Bruce be, let him find his path. If he is truly saved, he is sealed to the day of judgement; whether he chooses to believe that…..or not.

Greetings, This is a little off topic, but I have been a fellow traveler with Bruce since I discovered him on line. He has been helpful to me in my journey. His site has been down for many days now and the personal email I had for him on google+ and regular email, both bounce back. I know he has had health issues and I hope all is well. Would you happen to know of his status. Thanks. I also appreciate your sentiments here. Bruce is a great guy!

Candidly, I am of the same mind as Bruce, but since my de-conversion, and with a blank slate, so to speak, I am able to reasonably read and evaluate much more information. As you stood up for Bruce, I know you also have a kind and generous spirit.
It is rare to see a christian publicly stand up to the vocal hate mongers among you. I started my questioning of the faith because of the hate, and bigitry within the church. I know that it is not all christians, my mother definatly is one of the good ones. Once the geni was out of the bottle and I started looking with an open mind at the bible I was done. I would have been easier for me had I never left the church, but we all have to do what we believe is right. By the way seen and not heard takes me way back. my favorite song from Petra is my creed. I do this with hope and prayer, that when the chips are down and I find myself at the gates of death’s door; that someone would do the same for me. It is simply called a moral compass, one that Charlton Heston spoke of once in a NRA video. I have one, as does everyone else; some choose to ignore it. I, on the other hand, do not.
I do this because I’d want or at least hope, that someone would extend the same to me. That is all, and nothing else.
