The Rev. Sun Myung Moon RIP

I did not agree with his Religion, But I do respect the man for his success and for he good that he did do.

The Rev. Dr. Sun Myung Moon, the leader of the Unification Church and founder of The Washington Times, died early Monday morning in South Korea. He was 92.

He passed away just before 2 a.m. local time (12:54 p.m. EDT Sunday) from complications of pneumonia, surrounded by family, friends and followers, according to Unification Church leaders.

A comment was not immediately available from Unification Church International President Hyung Jin Moon, his youngest son and appointed successor of the religious movement.

My condolences to the Moon family, friends and those who work at the Washington Times.

I am going to try and link to that paper a bit more than I have been doing. I have added their RSS feeds to my reader.

Neil Armstrong RIP

Farewell to a great American.

(Reuters) – U.S. astronaut Neil Armstrong, who took a giant leap for mankind when he became the first person to walk on the moon, has died at the age of 82, his family said on Saturday.

Armstrong died following complications from heart-bypass surgery he underwent earlier this month, the family said in a statement, just two days after his birthday on August 5.

As commander of the Apollo 11 mission, Armstrong became the first human to set foot on the moon on July 20, 1969. As he stepped on the dusty surface, Armstrong said: ““That’s one small step for (a) man, one giant leap for mankind.”

Those words endure as one of the best known quotes in the English language.

via First man on moon Neil Armstrong dead at 82 | Reuters.

Anyone over the age of 30 years old, knows who this man is; he is testament to American greatness.

Which is why the United States Government needs to get OUT of the space business. The cold war is over and we have no need to be in the space business anymore.

This is because that the space program is nothing more than dressed up big Government statism. Nothing more, nothing less. Too many NASA persons have perished, in the pursuit of so-called “science.”  We need to privatize that entire system and allow free market forces to control it.

RIP to Neil Armstrong

UPDATED: Another mass shooting, this time in Wisconsin

First Colorado, now this.

A mass shooting at a Sikh Temple in Wisconsin. Go Here, Here, Here, Here and Here to read all about it. (Via Memeornadum)

Via NBCNews.com, a detail that I am hoping like hell is wrong:

A temple committee member, Ven Boba Ri, told the Journal-Sentinel that people inside the temple described the shooter as a white male in his 30s.

“We have no idea,” he said of the motive. “It’s pretty much a hate crime. It’s not an insider.”

Ri told the Journal-Sentinel the gunman walked up to a priest who was standing outside the temple and shot him. Then he went inside and started shooting.

If this is even remotely true; we are so.very.much.screwed, when it comes to gun rights. It is over and we will have to wait to see if Mitt Romney wins or not and if the Republican take both houses. Because you know good and well; that the Democrats will enact strict Gun laws. It is that whole, “never let a crisis go to waste” thing.

Right now, prayers. Prayers for the victims, Prayers for the families —- and Prayer for our Nation. We’re about to lose it, if we are not real careful here. 🙁

The Late Night Music Express presents: The Doobie Brothers

This is a special memorial edition.  The Doobie Brothers have suffered a loss.

…and there are so many more, I would post them all. But this blog entry would go on for pages.

Anyhow, here’s the official news: (H/T The Detroit Free Press)

March 13,2012—Sonoma CA—Longtime Doobie Brothers drummer Mike Hossack passed away peacefully yesterday March 12 at his home in Dubois, Wyoming after a long battle with cancer he was 65.  Doobie Brothers manager Bruce Cohn made the announcement. [PHOTOS]

“Mike was a one-of-a kind guy and a long-time member of the Doobie Brothers,” remembers Cohn. “He was a fighter and fought the big battle with cancer and he was a close personal friend of mine and I speak for Mike’s family and the entire band when I say he will be greatly missed.”

The Doobie Brothers Tom Johnston remembered Hossack, “Mike has always been a part of my musical life and the life of the Doobie Brothers; from our earliest singles, like China Grove and Blackwater to our most recent single Brighter Day.   He was an incredible musician, a studio quality drummer.  The last few years, he was brave and determined to keep on playing in the face of ill health, and I will always admire him for that.  He was a terrific dad and family man, and we will all miss him.”

The Doobie’s Pat Simmons, who was a close friend of Hossack’s, said, “When my kids were little, they used to call him Big Mike, because to them he was such a big guy.  But to me and those who knew him, he had an even a bigger heart.  We were friends for 43 years and we shared some wonderful adventures together, times I will never forget.  Thanks for all those wonderful memories Mike, and all the great music. We love you.”

Michael Hossack was born in Paterson, New Jersey on October 17, 1946 (a real baby boomer). At age twelve Mike started playing drums in the Little Falls Cadets, a Boy Scout Drum and Bugle Corp. He credits his drum instructors, Joe Whelan (Little Falls Cadets), Bob Peterson (Our Lady of Lourdes Cadets), and George Tuttle (Fair Lawn Cadets) for teaching him the disciplines of playing with other drummers.

Thanks for the music Mike. Rest in peace. 🙁 😥

Prayers for the members and past members of The Doobie Brothers and The Hossack Family.

Get the Music, I am sure the guys could use the help right now:

Man Down: Mil-Blogger Neptunus Lex killed in plane crash

I just saw the news flash across twitter.

We have lost another one.

Mil-Blogger Neptunus Lex has died in a plane crash.

Read the story here at RedState.

A final farewell guest post is happening here at his blog.

A personal note, Lex’s blog was one of the first blogs that I started reading, when I finally realized that the left was just simply wrong. I used to comment there every now and again. I also started using the same theme as him, because I found it to be so impressive.

This is for you Lex:

This too:

Rest in peace Lex, we’ll handle it from here.

Update: Blackfive is remembering too: Here, here, and here.

Andrew Breitbart RIP

I feel like a guitarist, who is standing on a stage and has sudden realized; he has forgotten the chords to the song he is supposed to be playing.

I mean what words can be written about the man that has not already been written already somewhere else?

I am referring, of course, the passing on Conservative Lion, Warrior, and Publisher Andrew Breitbart, who died last night around midnight at the age for 42.

He was only three years older than I am; this is why this hits me so very hard.  I wake up around my normal time and grabbed my iPod, to see what is going on the world and this comes up.  I let out a rather loud, “Yeah Right!” and figure it is another one of this man’s pranks.

It is not a prank.  (At least I like the think that it is not a prank…)

I did not always agree with his tactics, I did not like what he had to say about Ted Kennedy when he died, I blogged about that on my old blog.  I thought it was morally wrong and I told him so in a tweet once.  I was so incensed about it that I blocked him on twitter for a very long while.

However, the man could not be and would not be ignored; at least not by me.  He took risks; he always had the uncanny ability to dig up some of the best stuff on the left and literally would use it against them.  I admired him for that; because you realize, I used to vote Democratic Party and I knew and still do know about how they pit race against race, class against class — all of that — and Andrew knew it and played it for every damned bit it was worth.

====

In this section here, I had some thoughts about Andrew’s death. After thinking about it; I have decided to remove them, out of respect for the family.

====

The bottom line is this; the Conservative world has lost its “Merry Prankster.”  It has lost its warrior and nobody will ever fill those shoes, not even bloggers; because Andrew took the risks and was willing to stick his neck out to expose the left and its misdeeds.

Andrew will be missed by many, including me.

My Prayers go to the family and his wife and Children.

The Sunday Night Music Express: In Memory: John Fairfax 1937-2012

He crossed the Atlantic because it was there, and the Pacific because it was also there.

He made both crossings in a rowboat because it, too, was there, and because the lure of sea, spray and sinew, and the history-making chance to traverse two oceans without steam or sail, proved irresistible.

In 1969, after six months alone on the Atlantic battling storms, sharks and encroaching madness, John Fairfax, who died this month at 74, became the first lone oarsman in recorded history to traverse any ocean.

In 1972, he and his girlfriend, Sylvia Cook, sharing a boat, became the first people to row across the Pacific, a yearlong ordeal during which their craft was thought lost. (The couple survived the voyage, and so, for quite some time, did their romance.)

Both journeys were the subject of fevered coverage by the news media. They inspired two memoirs by Mr. Fairfax, “Britannia: Rowing Alone Across the Atlantic” and, with Ms. Cook, “Oars Across the Pacific,” both published in the early 1970s.

Mr. Fairfax died on Feb. 8 at his home in Henderson, Nev., near Las Vegas. The apparent cause was a heart attack, said his wife, Tiffany. A professional astrologer, she is his only immediate survivor. Ms. Cook, who became an upholsterer and spent the rest of her life quietly on dry land (though she remained a close friend of Mr. Fairfax), lives outside London.

Time to tell it like it is: Bobby Brown is a freakin’ slime-ball puke

There are not enough words in the English language to tell how exactly how I feel about this idiot:

NEWARK — Bobby Brown, the ex-husband of Whitney Houston, left the New Hope Baptist Church just minutes before the funeral was to begin.

According to a person familiar with the situation, Brown brought an entourage of nine people with him to the Newark church and wanted them to sit with them in the family section.

“They were asked to leave,” the person said, referring to the entourage. Brown was not asked to leave, but “he left with the other people,” according to the person, who was not at liberty to discuss the situation publicly.

Brown appeared visibly upset as he left the church and got into a black Cadillac SUV.

via Visibly upset, Bobby Brown leaves Whitney Houston’s funeral | NJ.com.

You know, there are just some moments when you just have to tell it like it is.  This here is one of them moments.  Before I nuke this overrated piece of trash, named Bobby Brown, verbally into the next century, let me say this — Yes; I watched that funeral of Whitney Houston’s.  I watched the entire service from beginning, until the incredibly sad ending, when Whitney’s mother was walking behind the casket of her own daughter, wailing and weeping for her daughter who was taken from her.  Even I, the tough as nails type was nearly to tears.  The reason is that I had to watch a woman, who is a grandma, having to bury her daughter.  Children are support to bury their parents, not the other way around.

The question I have for Mr. Brown is this; why in the name of the Almighty God would he honestly need NINE people to follow him into a funeral of his ex-wife? Mr. Brown, you sir are a classless punk.  Mr. Brown did it ever; at any time occur to you, that you did not need all those people to go into the Church with you?  However, no, you just had to bring along your gang of friends along with you.  To, as always, make a show of yourself.  You sir, are a dirty slime ball piece of human excrement.  YOU are the reason why Whitney Houston is dead in the first place!  YOU are the reason that Whitney Houston was a drug-addicted junkie who could not keep herself straight long enough to record any record.  Whitney Houston did those drugs to please YOU!  To show just how much you appreciated her doing that, what did you do?  You beat her; you mistreated her and generally acted like an ungodly buffoon.  So much, in fact, that she ended up having to divorce your sorry self finally.

Then, to add insult to injury after the woman died from the drugs that YOU got her started on, YOU have the god-damned nerve to show up at her funeral and act like a spoiled punk ass brat and when you did not get your way, you leave in a huff!  There happens to be a word that some people like to use to describe people like yourself, and it Begins with an N and ends with an R!  You should be giving thanks to the almighty God in Heaven that the Huston family has not taken a contract out on your life.  I am almost certain that her brothers would like to do this to you.  I know I would, if I were them!

In closing, allow me to say this; Bobby Brown, grow up.  Get on with your pathetic life and leave the Houston family alone.  They have suffered enough and stay away from your daughter, she has already lost her Mother thanks to you, and you want to kill the daughter too?  I mean, seriously.  Also too, let me say this; let this be a lesson to Christian young women everywhere — stay away from devilish men, like Bobby Brown.  If you have been raised in Church, like Whitney, find you a man in the Church and stay there!  Do not be messing around with some fool in the world; because this right here is where you will end up, one way, or another — in the graveyard.

Open Message to Bill Donahue: Where is the fatwa on Nicki Minaj?

I am shocked he did not issue one, after this asinine performance:

21221223435 by YardieGoals

Gateway Pundit calls this “brave.” What a fool. 😡

Rod Dreher says it is part of the Anti-Christian and Anti-Catholic culture in America. Which is very true.

Dreher also says this:

It’s tiresome when Christians respond to things like this by saying, “They would never consider doing something like using Islāmic imagery.” But you know, it’s true. It’s always true. Let those with eyes to see.

Amen to that; and it is true, had this been a song mocking the religion of Islam. This young woman would be either in hiding wishing she was dead or would be dead. It is too bad that Bill Donahue, who did issue a statement about the performance, which I feel was totally inadequate for the scope of mockery here — did not issue a fatwa against this woman. I mean, it should have read something to the effect of, “The Catholic League will pay someone 1 million dollars, if someone will take this little black mocker of God out.” I believe it would have caused an uproar, but it would have gotten her and her managements attention.

A few days ago, Whitney Houston died of unknown causes. At the moment I found out, I thought, “How unfair.” For all Whitney’s problems and personal issues; she was still a wonderful talent that had so much more to give to her fans. Such is not the case with this idiot mocker of the Faith. So, seeing that I am a controversial blogger; I will say this — Here is hoping that this little classless black hoe meets the same fate as Whitney Houston and I mean very quickly. Anyone who mocks religion, does not deserve the breath the they keep in the lungs. This was not art; this was open mockery of Roman Catholicism, The Church, and Christianity in General.

Again, had this been a song about Islam and its repressive Religion, she would be in hiding; but, because it is a mockery of the Christian faith, The “LA CROWD” was fine with it. This tells you how far that the music industry, Hollywood and the L.A. Scene has fallen in the last 50 years. This wasn’t cool, this wasn’t ironic, this wasn’t funny, this wasn’t hip; this was a disgraceful attack on God, organized Religion  in general, the Church as a concept, Christianity and the Roman Catholic Church. Because of this; I found Mr. Donahue’s statement a bit lacking. Could it be that Bill Donahue has lost his edge? I sure haven’t, nor will I ever.

I end this blog posting with this, a Bible scripture that says:

Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. (Galatians 6:7 KJV)

Here is hoping that Mr. Minaj reaps the whirlwind of her actions and quickly.

The truth is, she will, whether in this life or the next; the fact remains is she will face a Holy and Righteous God, and will have to explain her actions. Based upon what I saw last night, this will happen, before she is cast into a godless hell and then the Lake of Fire.

Revelation 20:11-15 KJV:
(11)  And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
(12)  And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
(13)  And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
(14)  And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
(15)  And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

The quicker, the better; if you ask me.

Update: Heck even TMZ didn’t even like it!

Here’s the roundup, mostly of liberals mocking Bill Donahue’s statement: Speakeasy, CBS Los Angeles, Rolling Stone, Big Hollywood, Religion Dispatches, BuzzFeed, The Raw Story, Joe. My. God. and Gothamist
