Why I am not blogging about the Colorado shooting

I am, of course, referring to this here.

The reason I am not really blogging about it, is because of the stupidity of the left and the stupidity of the right. I mean, the man was obviously mentally off of his rocker. The best the right and left can do, is make idiotic political statements about the tragic event.

The left is hollering “more gun control!” and the right is making just downright asinine statements about the shooting. I refuse to be a part of it. The truth is, some dude, whose elevator didn’t go past the lobby floor, went and shot up a planned parenthood. Now, everyone wants to make it about politics. It’s sickening, cynical and high school at best.

…and I want no part of it. I’m not playing the game, at all. People were killed and I won’t turn a tragic event, like this, into a political debate, at all.

Just letting y’all know.

LOCAL NEWS: Puerto Rican Woman removed from board of local community theatre after calling makeup racist

Seems like the liberal intolerance thing is getting a little close to home now. For what it is worth, Wyandotte, Michigan is about 10 miles to the south of me. This was in the local paper here.

Via News Herald:

Jazmyn Bencik isn’t afraid to speak up when she sees something she perceives as wrong.

That’s exactly what she did recently when she saw something she thought was insensitive against her race.

Bencik saw a member of the Southgate Community Players post a photo of himself titled “Puerto Rico Suave” on Facebook. The theater group was preparing to put on “West Side Story,” which closes this weekend.

Bencik, who at the time was a board member for the Wyandotte Community Theater, thought using white actors to portray Puerto Rican characters was wrong. She was even more offended when she found out several cast members were using spray tans to appear “brown.”

“It’s highly offensive to use excessive spray tan like that,” Bencik said. “It’s the equivalent of using yellow or black face.”

She said she commented on the photo and was nearly immediately attacked for her feelings.

“It was racially insensitive and personally offensive,” she said. “I was told that they weren’t likely to get that many Puerto Ricans to try out for a play in Southgate. Then I suggested they take into account casting difficulties in the future.”

Phillip Rauch, president of the Southgate Community Players, said Bencik’s feelings are off base.

“We don’t use black face,” he said. “We are actors putting on a show. That’s all it is. Using spray tan is nothing more than part of the costume.”

Bencik said she was willing to leave it at that, having spoken her mind. But it didn’t end there for her.

“When I went to practice for our group I was told what I had said was wrong,” she said. “I don’t understand what I did wrong. I was speaking my own opinion.”

She said members of the board told her that she shouldn’t have spoken out on the issue since she was also on the Wyandotte Community Theater board of directors.

“They told me that especially because I was the social media director that I shouldn’t have spoken out,” she said.

That night, Nov. 10, she was removed from having access to the Facebook page for her group. She said she received a letter the next morning notifying her that she was relieved of her duties with the organization.

There you have it folks, liberal intolerance at it’s finest. Jonah Goldberg was on to something:

CBS finally gives Sarah Palin a fair shake

The Video:

The Story via Newsmax:

Sarah Palin now admits the 2008 question that got her branded as unintelligent by many was a fair one to which she gave a “crappy answer.”

In an interview aired on CBS’ “Sunday Morning,” the former Alaska governor also took part of the blame for Sen. John McCain’s loss to Barack Obama in the 2008 presidential contest.
She was part of the team, she said, and that team came in second in a contest of two.

Back in 2008, Palin, then McCain’s vice presidential running mate was asked by reporter Katie Couric which newspapers she reads to stay informed.

“I’ve read most of them, again with a great appreciation for the press, for the media,” she answered. “All of them. Any of them that have been in front of me over all these years.”

“I had a crappy answer, but it was a fair question,” Palin said in Sunday’s interview.

Personally, I do not think that she is Presidential material. She’s of an entitled class; she’s like Hillary, she thinks about she’s got breasts and a vagina, that she is entitled to be President and sorry, but that is just wrong.

Either way, better late than never on the media interview.

Mark your calendars: I actually agree with something in the New York Times

It is not everyday that I agree with something from that Marxist rag. But, I suppose a broken clock is right once a day, at least.

Frank Bruni writing over at the New York Times about the events of the two days and the political idiocy that has followed says:

Can’t we wait until we’ve resolved the body count? Until the identities of all of the victims have been determined and their families informed? Until the sirens stop wailing? Until the blood is dry?

Or must we instantly bootstrap obliquely related agendas and utterly unconnected grievances to the carnage in Paris, responding to it with an unsavory opportunism instead of a respectful grief?

This has been my thoughts too. It happens every damned time one of these tragic events happens. Both sides start carping about the politics of it. I mean, just for damned once, can we please stop making a tragic event about politics? Yes, I know, the shooters were Muslim.

However, what the neocon/conservative/Republican bloggers and media talking heads — fail to acknowledge is, that if George W. Bush had not invaded Iraq, based upon faulty intelligence or Bush’s lust for war — pick one; those 129 people in France would still be alive and the 352 people would not be in the hospital fighting for their lives.

It is much too bad that the douche canoes like Power Line, Instapundit and Diary of a Mad Voter (Roger L. Simon) do not understand that concept. I mean, at least give the damned bodies a chance to be buried and give the damn French a chance to grieve, before making political statements or opinions. I know, I am just as guilty as anyone. 🙁

It is not just the right, the damned left does it too. As Mr. Bruni points out, terrorism due to climate change? Oh brother. Between that and the idiotic nonsense that I wrote about here; I am sure that the progressive movement has lost its ever-loving mind.

As Patrick J. Buchanan has pointed out, we have two political parties in this Country; The Stupid Party and The War Party. Allow me to change that one, if I may. We have two political parties: The Stupid Party (left) and the Stupid War Party (right). This above is proof of that.

BREAKING TERRORISM NEWS: Paris hit by major terrorist attack, 158 Dead

At what point do we consider Islam a threat to the security of the world?

The story:

France has declared a national state of emergency and has closed its borders after scores of people were killed in multiple gun and bomb attacks in Paris. At least 100 people are reported to have died at the Bataclan concert hall in central Paris.Gunmen took many hostages there before being overpowered when police stormed the building.Others died in a reported suicide blast near the Stade de France and gun attacks on city centre restaurants.Paris residents have been asked to stay indoors and about 1,500 military personnel are being deployed across the city. Via: Paris attacks: More than 100 killed at Bataclan and restaurants – BBC News

I just do not know what else to say.

Update: I’ve had some time to think about this a bit more and there’s a few things that I would like to say. This attack of course, was a horrible tragedy and I hope like heck that France does avenge the attacks upon their country.

What I do not hope is this, that the United States of America gets involved with this fight. Sure we’ve got Isis here and they’ve hit targets here in America and they also hit targets where we have interests. But I think the worst thing that could happen is we get involved in a protracted war with Isis in Syria.

If anything, we should support France and let them bomb the crap out of that country, not the United States.

Also too, I really think that the United States of America and the European nations and France and the rest of the allied nations, really need to take a hard look at Islam. The problem is in Islam’s doctrines jihad is considered to be a struggle against evil.

The problem is it’s hard to figure out which Muslims believe that jihad entails violence towards that are that are non-Muslim and which ones do not.

My contention is this here, is the freedom of speech and freedom religion being extended to Muslims, worth seeing people getting killed like this?

I believe the smart answer is No. I believe the United States of America and the European nations under the United Nations and the rest of allies of the United States need to take a hard look at their freedom of religion and determine that Islam is not just a religion. But that it is a political philosophy as well and that is a danger to the security of every free human being around the world and its practices ought to be outlawed.

I know that sounds harsh and flies in the face of the Constitution. But America is a much different place than it was when the Constitution was drafted and many things have changed and Islam is not what it was back when the Constitution was being drafted in the America.

So, I believe our political leaders need to get together and think about this. Do we really want to risk continued risk having Americans blown up because some Muslim decides that he is going to be a fundamentalist Muslim or are we going to be smart and say this cannot stand?

If you are going to practice your religion like this you can’t live here in America. This is what needs to be told to the Muslim community. Unfortunately, we have people in government in positions of political power who are abject cowards and will not stand up to these people at all.

This, my friends is a true American tragedy.

Whoa: Donald Trump goes off the rails and not in a good way either

I have to admit, that at one point, I would have actually voted for this guy. I am really not sure of that anymore. This, I have to say, is very much below the belt.

The videos: (via HotAir)

https://youtu.be/0jpZgncFVfk

and…:

Transcript:

“It’s in the book that he’s got a pathological temper,” Trump told “Erin Burnett OutFront,” speaking about Carson’s autobiography. “That’s a big problem because you don’t cure that … as an example: child molesting. You don’t cure these people. You don’t cure a child molester. There’s no cure for it. Pathological, there’s no cure for that.”

In his 1990 autobiography, “Gifted Hands,” Carson attributes violent behavior in his youth to his “disease,” a “pathological temper” that the Republican presidential hopeful said caused him to strike one friend with a rock and attempt to stab another. In subsequent accounts of his violent youth, Carson said he once attempted to attack his mother with a hammer.

“I’m not bringing up anything that’s not in his book,” Trump told Erin Burnett. “You know, when he says he went after his mother and wanted to hit her in the head with a hammer, that bothers me. I mean, that’s pretty bad. When he says he’s pathological — and he says that in the book, I don’t say that — and again, I’m not saying anything, I’m not saying anything other than pathological is a very serious disease. And he said he’s pathological, somebody said he has pathological disease.”

A report on the second video:

At first, the audience was quick to laugh at Trump’s sharp insults and applaud his calls to better care for veterans, replace the Affordable Care Act and construct a wall along the Mexican border. But as the speech dragged on, the applause came less often and grew softer. As Trump attacked Carson using deeply personal language, the audience grew quiet, a few shaking their heads. A man sitting in the back of the auditorium loudly gasped. …

He scoffed at those who have accused him of not understanding foreign policy, saying he knows more about Islamic State terrorists “than the generals do.” He took credit for predicting the threat of Osama bin Laden and being right on the “anchor baby situation,” a position he says “these great geniuses from Harvard Law School” now back. He uttered the word “crap” at least three times, and promised to “bomb the s—” out of oil fields benefiting terrorists. He signed a book for a guy in the audience and then tossed it back at him with a flip: “Here you go, baby. I love you.”

Trump called Republican rival Carly Fiorina “Carly whatever-the-hell-her-name-is,” accused Democratic front-runner Hillary Rodham Clinton of playing the “woman’s card” and said Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) is “weak like a baby.” He then devoted more than 10 minutes angrily attacking his chief rival, Ben Carson, saying the retired doctor has a “pathological disease” with no cure, similar to being a child molester.

“If I did the stuff he said he did, I wouldn’t be here right now. It would have been over. It would have been over. It would have been totally over,” Trump said. “And that’s who’s in second place. And I don’t get it.”

Wow, Just Wow. 😯 No wonder the Republican establishment is in an utter panic!

Ed Morrissey observes the following:

Two points. First, “pathological” does not mean “incurable,” and anyway Carson uses the term as a descriptor, not a medical diagnosis. Second, there is a vast difference between having a violent temper in one’s youth, and molesting children. This is mud-slinging of the most virulent and dishonest manner.

I am thinking that you are going to see a huge — oh, sorry, “Yuge” — drop in the polls for Trump. This is not politicking, this is slander and utter dishonesty and I really think that the America voters are going to make that clear come the first primary vote.

I have to like Carly Fiorina’s Response:

Donald, sorry, I've got to interrupt again. You would know something about pathological. How was that meeting with…

A good win for traditionalists in Houston, Texas

Southern Future reports:

The American “March of Progress” towards equality ran into a brick wall this week as segregationists won at the polls in the largest city in Dixie. The people of Houston, Texas (which is now just 26% White – down from 62% in 1970 – due to the US policy of demographic displacement) overwhelmingly rejected a broad equality measure pushed by Democratic Party leaders and homosexual activists. Anti-egalitarians focused their campaign on opposition to bathroom integration, supporting traditional sex-based segregation of public bathrooms. The Human Rights Campaign, a Left-wing gay advocacy group, called the vote “a devestating blow to equality.”

This is a good thing, and I am very glad to hear about it. 😀 This is what we are up against folks.
