10 years of Blogging

I just noticed this morning that I have reached a very important milestone.

In or around March of 2006, I walked out of a independent fundamental Baptist Church, ticked off, because I have been accused of a bunch of stuff, that was not even remotely true. I talk more about that in my Christianity section on this blog, you might want to look it up.

So, I needed a diversion and at the time we were mired in the conflict in Iraq. At the time, I felt that President George W. Bush what is moving the goalposts when it came to Iraq. I needed an outlet and a diversion from what was happening with myself.

So, I went first to WordPress.com and created a Blog there. When I found out that I really couldn’t advertise there, I left and went to blogspot or blogger as it’s called and I ended up creating a Blog there called, “the populist.”

That was 10 years ago.

Needless to say my politics, my outlook on life, my religious convictions and many other things have changed since I did all that. I’ve interacted with some interesting people, gotten into some nasty fights with some people; “blog wars”, if you will.

Things were much different back in 2006, there was a sense of community back then; bloggers right and left, we link to each other, we quoted each other and we defended each other, if need be.

Things today are much different, rarely if ever do people link to my blog and I rarely link to anybody else; except if it’s a big story. I’ll put in others and links to other blogs. People can’t believe that I still do that. I thought that was the way things were supposed to be, link to other people to get more than one voice on a subject. I guess now, that’s not very popular.

When I started this blog in 2006; I had been unemployed basically for about a year and really haven’t had any long-term work since about 2000.

So, I decided to go into business for myself and then tried to business venture. that ultimately failed. But I kept blogging, even after George W bush left the office of the president of the United States. That is because I believe that no government or no government official, irregardless political party is above criticism and commentary. Politicians are not Kings, neither is the president, they are elected servants of the people and that’s the role, I believe blogs to point out when they’re going astray.

So, in 10 years I can honestly say I regret nothing. I do not regret my choices and most importantly; I don’t regret creating a Blog.

I do not regret taking new course in my political beliefs; as President Ronald Reagan once famously said, “I didn’t leave the Democrat Party they left me” and they left me in 2007.

The Democrat Party left me 2007, for several reasons:

One, when they failed to stop a war that they so harshly condemned repeatedly in the media.

Two: when they installed president who used his skin color as a weapon and a campaign tool. I’m not a racist I grew up in a multicultural environment in Southwest Detroit 19 years of my life.

But, to hear the Democrats talk during the 2008 election; anybody who did not support or vote for Barack Obama or essentially members of the Klu Klux Klan.

This is when I decided that the Democratic party no longer represented me as a person and for the first time in my life, I voted something other than Democrat.

That year I voted for Bob Barr who was the Libertarian Party candidate for president. It was actually rather liberating to finally cast a vote that truly represented how I felt.

To say that the Democratic Party has shifted to the left would be one of the greatest understatements of the American Century. At one time, the Democratic Party was a moderate party that believed simply that everyone had a chance at the American dream. The problem is that the Democratic party now has become a full-on socialist party and sees anyone with white skin, a little money and a job; as a tax target.

Furthermore, the Democratic Party and the progressive left as whole; which claims to be the party that celebrates diversity freedom of speech and freedom of thought, is the first ones to come out and attack anyone that dares to dissent from their worldview and their Progressive politics. Especially when it comes to matters of race.

This is why I blog; it is my way of protesting what I see to be morally and literally wrong.

It hasn’t been an easy ride for me and my health has suffered as well. My eyesight has gotten progressively worse since I first started blogging. I now know that I have type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure high cholesterol and anxiety and on top of my ADHD, that I was diagnosed with, at five years old.

As I look back, there are some things that I possibly could have said and done better when I first started out as a blogger. There were instances when I wanted to bring attention to myself and my idea was, that any publicity is good, that was a bonehead move on my part.

But. one of my greatest mistakes; one of my greatest regrets, if I have any, is the fact that I insulted someone’s wife, who I was unaware was deceased. That’s one, that I’ll have to live with for the rest of my life.

People have asked me, “if you had become so disinterested in politics why do you continue to have a Blog? why do you continue to write?”

My answer is simply this: if I decide to close up shop, delete this blog and all my other blogs and get rid of the domain and just go back to being another face in the crowd; then the people who I am protesting against, writing against, pointing out what they are doing is wrong —-they would have won the battle and I’m not somebody to just cut and run, as George W bush so famously put it.

I believe that freedom of speech is an American treasure, one that should be exercised, within the limits of the law, of course and I believe that blogs are actually the sixth estate and we keep the corporate media and officials in government in check and I believe that is as American; as apple pie, Chevrolet, baseball and big rig semi trucks.

So, yes, I have been doing this for 10 years and I’m quite proud of what I’ve accomplished. I have not gotten wealthy doing it at all. I haven’t had some crony capitalists or some big Corporation or some special interest groups try to get into pocket and try to control what I write. I have kept my Integrity. I have kept my Independence. I have not sold out to any particular political party. I have stayed true to my mission that I started in 2006 and that was to criticize the government for their actions during the war and during their political process. I guess you could call me a bit of a iconoclast.

Sacred cow tipping is what I do. that’s what bloogers do, that’s what critical writers do.

Another one of the reasons why I’ve paid the price on this blog in terms of traffic and people wanting to link to me, is because I never played the partisan game and I never really was a mindless follower of anyone. My friends anyone that follows after anyone blindly is setting themselves up for a world of hurt.

It happened in the 1980s with Ronald Reagan, it happened in the 1990s with Bill Clinton and it has happened with Barack Obama and Ron Paul; and it’s about to happen again with Donald Trump.

The political machine in Washington DC, does not like nor does it permit political Outsiders. it has been that way for years and it will be that way until Christ’s coming.

This is why blogs exist, this is why we write, this is why we fight against them. That is our job, regardless of what side of the political fence you sit on. And as far as these political parties are concerned, let me be the first to tell you; if you don’t know this already, that both of these parties Democratic party and Republican party, are two sides of the same coin, and that is corruption influence-peddling, greed, and all sorts of other ugly nonsense.

And to be quite blunt about it, the corporate media is in the bed with both sides; this is why blogs are essential.

Having said all that I plan to continue this blog for as long as it’s physically possible for me to do so.

I do not plan to back down from my criticism of Washington DC, their mismanagement of the country and that includes both sides of the political aisle; the selling out of America to foreign interests, the utterly open borders and our foreign policy excursions.

Furthermore, I will continue to defend the elderly the disabled and the abused. I will continue to defend the right of every American citizen to collect a social security check at their age of retirement. I will continue to fight for those who cannot afford health insurance and could use a little help from the government, like myself.

I will continue to fight against those on this blog who wish to scapegoat unions, as being the reason why the big three in America is such in terrible shape.

I will continue to speak out against radical jihadism and our governments pitiful response to it since the attacks on September 11th 2001.

I will continue to speak out against those who use skin color, gender and religious ethniticity, to gain special favor. I will also speak out continually against those who use their religious and cultural authenticity to peddle influence in the United States government. It is wrong, it goes against the spirit of the Constitution of the United States of America, it compromises our sovereignty and it needs to stop and this blog will speak out against it at every opportunity given.

When I first began blogging I called myself, “the populist.” I still consider myself to be a populist, in the sense that I believe in defending the American people, over special interest and corporate interests. However, I now feel that the nation as a sovereign country is worth defending as well.

I believe that family and the concept of a family unit; mother, father and children are worth protecting. I believe the protection of The Unborn is worth writing about and protecting. I believe that Christian values; something this country was founded upon, is worth writing about defending and protecting.

I believe that political correctness, the creation of the Marxist left, is worth protesting against writing against and blogging about, at every opportunity given.

I believe a strong and robust defense of the Second Amendment of the United States Constitution, which guarantees us the right to own and use a firearm, is worth writing about and protecting as well.

These are issues that I care deeply about and these are the issues that I will continue to write about, as long as it’s physically possible for me to do so.

To those of you who have been with me since the beginning and have read me since the beginning, I thank you. Those of you who cared enough to donate put money in my tip jar and send me notes of encouragement and leave comments on my blog, I thank you.

We do have many more battles to fight and I will continue to do so here on this blog. So for the future of America, let’s get moving, shall we?

But, I’d still like to be driving a truck.

Why you don’t go on a gun psycho in Texas

Because you will end up, like this guy. See below:

AMARILLO, TX (KFDA) – An armed man suspected of firing shots at an Amarillo Walmart has been shot and is dead, according to the Amarillo Police Department.

Officials say the suspect was located inside the store and shot shortly after tactical units entered the building. How not to win over the media and win the White House

I do believe that the GOP just lost the race to the White House. 🙁

Donald Trump on Monday said he is revoking the press credentials of The Washington Post, one of the nation’s largest newspapers, over its “dishonest reporting.” The presumptive Republican presidential nominee made the announcement in a brief post on Facebook Monday afternoon.“

Based on the incredibly inaccurate coverage and reporting of the record setting Trump campaign, we are hereby revoking the press credentials of the phony and dishonest Washington Post,” Trump wrote. In an earlier message, Trump slammed the Post for its coverage of his comments Monday morning about the mass shooting in Orlando, Fla., on Sunday. In those remarks, Trump questioned President Obama’s commitment to fighting Islamic terrorism. “We’re led by a man that either is not tough, not smart, or he’s got something else in mind,” the presumptive Republican presidential nominee said during a phone interview on “Fox and Friends.” “And the something else in mind, you know, people can’t believe it, people cannot believe that President Obama is acting the way he acts and can’t even mention the words ‘radical Islamic terrorism,’ ” he said. “There’s something going on — it’s inconceivable. There’s something going on. “He doesn’t get it, or he gets it better than anybody understands. It’s one or the other, and either one is unacceptable”

Trump wrote that “I am no fan of President Obama, but to show you how dishonest the phony Washington Post is, they wrote, ‘Donald Trump suggests President Obama was involved with Orlando shooting’ as their headline. Sad!”

The headline on the Post story has since been changed to, “Donald Trump seems to connect President Obama to Orlando shooting.” – Source: Trump says he’s revoking press credentials for The Washington Post | TheHill

Hope everyone on the right enjoys four years of Hillary, because that is what we are going to get, because you do not disrespect the media and win the White House, ever. Sad too, Trump could have been great. But, this is going to ruin it for him. You watch and see.

Media once again, gets it wrong

Big shocker here, not!

The anti-gun politimedia wasted no time at all demonizing the most common rifle in the United States as being the real villain of the Islamic terrorist attack on Pulse nightclub in Orlando.

Newsweek screamed, “ORLANDO SHOOTING PUTS SPOTLIGHT ON AR-15 RIFLE.”

Judd Legume of Think Progress squeaked, “The NRA’s Love Affair With The AR-15, Weapon Of Choice For Mass Murderers, In 22 Tweets.”

Always wrong Christopher Ingraham of the Washington Post whined, “The gun used in the Orlando shooting is becoming mass shooters’ weapon of choice.”

Here’s the thing. The rifle used by the Islamist terrorist in Orlando was not an AR-15.sig suaer mcx

The rifle used by the Islamist terrorist in Orlando was instead a Sig Sauer MCX carbine, a modular, multi-caliber (able to swap to different calibers, including 5.56 NATO, 300 BLK, and 7.62×39) rifle system that sometimes utilizes STANAG magazines common to more than 60 different firearms, but otherwise has no major parts that interface with AR-15s in any way, shape or form. This of course, will make no difference at all to the anti-gun politimedia, who don’t particularly care about factual accuracy and who likely wouldn’t be able to tell an AR-15 from a toaster oven if their lives depended on it. – Source: NARRATIVE FAIL: Orlando Islamic Terrorist Did NOT Use An AR-15 – Bearing Arms

What am I not surprised?

It appears that some of my Baptist brethren are idiots.

As you all know, I have stated my feelings on the shooting in Florida. It appears that some of my fellow Fundy Baptists are not in agreement.

The Story:

After 49 people were gunned down in an Orlando gay nightclub in the deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history, pastors in California and Arizona praised the gunman for massacring “perverted predators” and “pedophiles.”In Sacramento, Pastor Roger Jimenez of Verity Baptist Church said the killer succeeded in making Orlando safer.“Are you sad that 50 pedophiles were killed today?” Jimenez said in a sermon originally posted on YouTube. “Um no, I think that’s great! I think that helps society. I think Orlando, Florida is a little safer tonight.”In the sermon, delivered just hours after the rampage on Sunday morning, Jimenez also said, “I wish the government would round them all up, put them up against a wall, put a firing squad in front of them and blow their brains out.”

Tempe, Arizona preacher Steven Anderson also rushed to praise the “good news” that “there are 50 less pedophiles in this world.”In a video posted online, Anderson, a pastor at Faithful Word Baptist Church, said while he wouldn’t advocate for violence, he said LGBT people should be “executed by a righteous government.””The bad news is that a lot of the homos in the bar are still alive, so they’re going to continue to molest children and recruit children into their filthy homosexual lifestyle,” he said, adding the attack would be used to attack Christians and push gun control.“I’m not sad about it, I’m not gonna cry about it because these 50 people in the gay bar that got shot up were going to die of AIDS and syphilis and whatever else,” he continued. “At least these dangerous, filthy predators are off the streets. I’m just trying to look on the bright side.” – Source: Pastors Praise Orlando Killings Of ‘Vile, Perverted Predators’ (VIDEO)

It should be noted that Steven Anderson is a apostate Fundy Baptist, who holds to the post-tribulation doctrine and denies the Rapture of the Church. He is also known for his idiotic challenging of border security agents.

As for the other Pastor, I have no information on him. But, he is obviously wrong in his praise of the shooter. Hate the sin, not the sinner; and never, ever, praise something as horrible as this. Both of these man, if these Churches had Godly deacons in them, would be out of a job.

Great: Russian Hackers steal Trump opposition research

Nice to know which side the Russians are on. 🙄

The Video:

The Story:

Russian government hackers penetrated the computer network of the Democratic National Committee and gained access to the entire database of opposition research on GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump, according to committee officials and security experts who responded to the breach. The intruders so thoroughly compromised the DNC’s system that they also were able to read all email and chat traffic, said DNC officials and the security experts. – Source: Russian government hackers penetrated DNC, stole opposition research on Trump – The Washington Post

Who knows, maybe the Russians are nervous about Trump.

This is why you don’t throw rocks at cops in Texas

Because you might just get shot.

Unfortunately, some knucklehead who was angry at his wife found this out the hard way.

Now it is unknown whether the person that was shot was white or black. But, I will say this; I’m sure that the anti-police crowd is going to use this in his example of a bullying police officer and Alex Jones will probably use this as an example of the police state and all this sort of nonsense.

One thing you must remember, when a police officer tells you to do something and you don’t do it or you try to bum rush him, like this idiot did: you open yourself up to lethal force. This is more so in Texas, where the police down there, don’t mess around at all.

So, the way I see it, this guy got what was coming to him. The officer told him to do something and he didn’t do it and he got shot. it’s too bad the cops didn’t kill him, so it wouldn’t be such a waste of taxpayers money.

Just my two cents. 🙂

One of the things that I do not like about Donald Trump

As I said in my previous posting, there are some things that I do not like about Donald Trump.

Well, here’s another one. It seems that Donald Trump wants to use his wealth and position to pay people to criticize the media for reporting the facts on him.

Now folks, there is one thing that I do value in this country and that is a free press. I understand that in this day and age most press has a political slant or bias. However, I believe that it is unbecoming of someone who wants to run for the Office of the President of the United States, to attempt to use his power and influence to try to buy favorable press; that my friends is an unAmerican.

A free and unbought price is essential to Liberty in the United States of America, whether I agree with their political positions or not; the Press has a duty to fairly and accurately report on people who are running for president of the United States.

I believe that this is dangerous. I believe it sets a dangerous precedent and I think that anybody who has a smidgen of Common Sense, including the Republican party, needs to stand up and rebuke harshly Donald Trump for trying to do such a thing.

I can most assuredly tell you that if Donald Trump is trying to use his position and power to curry favor among the Press, to cover up his misdeeds in the past; then I most assuredly will not be voting for him come November.

It is the duty of the United States press to report accurately and unbiased information to the voter, on someone who is running for president of the United States. To try to suppress that, goes against every founding principle that this nation was founded upon and I suggest Donald Trump wants my vote, he will stop this madness and I mean fast.
