Some housekeeping….

Just a few things that I feel the need to announce to my readers….

  1. If you have not noticed yet, I have installed a new theme here on the blog. To be quite honest, the old look around here was about three years old. I mean, I am a conservative and all; but even I know when something is getting old and stale looking. Plus too, the American flag bit was getting to be a bit much. I mean, I love my Country and all; but the flag in the background was getting to be a bit cheesy looking. Plus, I just wanted to update things a bit.
  2. The truth is that I really have not been writing with the same frequency that I was a few years ago. I really needed to back off for a while; which I did for the good part of the summer, save writing a few things that really bothered me. This will change as we go into the election cycle, which is close to starting. One of things that I will admit to, after Bush left office, I felt like my reason to write was basically over. Then came Obama and the rise of the tea party. For a while, it was a great thing to write about; but then, the whole thing started sounding predictable and some of it, ridiculous. This is when I backed off and really wrote off the tea party movement as another movement co-oped by those with an agenda.

So, where are you going from here?

Well, to be honest. I plan to continue on writing. Just because Bush is gone, Obama is about done and possibly a Republican will be going into the white house, does not mean that I will automatically go into defend the so-called “Conservative” President. I am a man on principles and I usually do not compromise them at all. I will write against the President of the United States, whose principles go counter to mine; regardless of which Party that President happens to be from. I wrote against Bush in 2006, and after that as well. I also wrote against Obama and still do to this day.

So, anyways, that was the announcement.

On the name change and new background photo…

I am sure that you might have noticed, I changed the blog name and changed the background here on the blog, until the Israel/Gaza conflict is over.

Here’s the reasons:

  1. I changed the name from “The Americanist” to “The American Patriot” for a good reason; simply put, “The Americanist” sounded silly and plus, I wanted something that was easier to say. Plus, it is a better reflection of what I truly am.
  2. I changed the American Flag background to a American Flag to a Israeli flag with an American flag for a good reason: I am not a Zionist, nor am I a neoconservative or a warmonger — However, I am a Christian, and I happen to believe that Israel does have a right to exist and has a right to defend itself from terrorist thug jerks who are firing rockets into their Country. The reason this conflict is happening is because two kids from Israel were kidnapped near Gaza by Hamas; and then two kids from Gaza were kidnapped by extremists in Israel. Israel and Palestine both said they would investigate and arrest those who did the killing. Well, this was not good enough for Hamas; and they started firing rockets into Israel. Well, Israel decided enough was enough and began as operation in Gaza. So, I am taking a stand against Hamas and against the terrorists who are firing rockets into Israel.

I am sure that there are those who might have an issue with my position — I have one thing to say about that: So be it. I did not start writing to win popularity contests, I began writing because I wanted to stand up against what I felt was wrong; and lobbing missiles into Israel is simply wrong. If this causes any other Paleoconservatives heartburn, too damned bad.

On my blog’s subtitle is a saying that I basically made up and it is:

There comes a time, when one must chose between madness and morality, repression or freedom, liberty or chains —- I tend to believe that I am on the right side of those choices.

This and this alone is why I have the Israeli flag in my background; not because I am a rabid Zionist, not because I am a neoconservative, not because I am anything other than a Christian Conservative American that happens to believe that the bullying of a nation by terrorists happens to be morally wrong. If and when the Israeli/Gaza conflict ends, I will return the background to the American flag. However, for now; the flag stays.

I mean and not to belabor the point; but, if someone, like Mexico, began lobbing missiles into California, I tend to believe that the US response would be a brutal one and I tend to believe that the liberal left would be calling for war. However, these same liberals are totally biased against Israel, which is why I no longer vote for them, at all.

Removed Lew Rockwell from Blogroll

I really hate having to write postings like this; but, because I am a man of principle, I must.

I took the regretful step of removing Lew Rockwell’s website and blog from my blogroll. Folks, I like Rockwell’s writings, when it comes to fiscal policy and I happen to agree with them. However, when it comes to the military, Rockwell and his fellow writers over at his website and blog, make me want to wretch. Even today, there was a short blog posting about the military that I happened to find most offensive.

I had removed Rockwell’s site from my blogroll once before and ended up putting it back; because I felt that I might have acted hastily and in an act of anger. However, since reading his site more; it is clear to me, that Rockwell and his writers are of the anti-military mindset and to me, as an American Nationalist, that is just a bridge too far.

I will also be removing Mr. Rockwell’s site and blog from my RSS reader. Because, quite frankly, I simply do not wish to read the site of someone who holds to, what I consider to be Anti-American views, when it comes to the Military.

Sometimes being a man of principles, can be and often is a very painful thing. 🙁

Link removed on Blogroll

Just some quick housekeeping here.

For a long time, I had a link on my blogroll to a site called Jesus-is-saviour.com that is owned by David J. Stewart, who lives in Guam. Well, I have known about that website since my returning to the Independent, Fundamental, Baptist type of Churches and Doctrine.

However, I was not aware at all that Mr. Stewart was involved in a sex related crime and was also putting things on his website that were questionable at best. I just happened to google his name and noticed these things. I am fully aware that the people making these accusations against him are not Fundamental Baptists and they are in disagreement with the belief that the King James Bible is the Word of God for the english speaking people. However, screenshots and public records do not lie.

Therefore, after some thought and prayer, I have decided to remove his link from this site. I truly hope that Mr. Stewart gets his life in order and his heart right with the Lord. What he is doing is a terrible sin and is damaging to the IFB movement and to the Church as a whole. I simply do not want to be associated with someone, who has been accused of such things and with someone who has those sort of feelings about Israel and the Jews. Plainly put; anyone who accuses the Jews of doing 9/11 has no business being linked to by this blog. I truly hope that other IFB websites who link to this man, will remove his links; because this man’s site is dangerous and could cause a young believer in the Lord to go astray.

….and I do not want that on my conscience.

Removed “Past Daily” from my blogroll and Added Farm Wars

Just wanted to let everyone know that I removed Past Daily from the history section of the blogroll.

About a week ago, I happened to stumble over a posting there, that was factually incorrect and reeked of idiotic political bias. I even removed the blog from my RSS Reader.

I knew that Past Daily’s owner was a liberal Democrat. I get that. He used to have a sub-blog over at Crooks and Liars, another leftist blog; which I hardly ever can stand to read anymore. But, I thought that Past Daily’s owner was a bit less partisan and more about history. I guess I was wrong. So, he’s gone.

On a better and more positive note: I added Farm Wars to my blogroll. It is a great farming related site. Our Nation’s farmers are a treasure and I will ALWAYS defend them here. I am also giving them an RSS feed in the sidebars too. Head on over and check them out; and maybe drop in a donation too. They could use it. 🙂

Proxy gate slammed shut

Due to an overabundance of trolls and lame idiots that have nothing else better to do, than leave pud comments here; I have made it impossible for anyone to leave a comment or even much less access this site via proxy server.

The way I see it, if you are that big of a coward, that you have to hide behind a proxy server; you don’t deserve the privilege of viewing my blog.

Sorry, but the trolls ruined it for everyone.

Signed,

Sorry for the silence

Just thought I would post something; to assure everyone that I am still alive.

As you all know, I was under the weather; which means, I was sicker than a dog for a few days there. But, I finally pulled out of that one.

There has just not been anything that I really consider to be worth writing about. After all, I do not write for anyone, but myself.

One of the characteristics of having A.D.H.D. is that we bore terribly easy. I do this very much so. Another thing is that I utterly hate having to repeat myself over and over. Once I write something about politics, Democrats and Obama; I have wrote it and I hate having to rehash things that I have already written about.

Also too; I do not like writing about things that no one is talking about or some old story that was news two years ago. I also seem to be having a bad case of burnout again. Nothing excites me about politics at the moment; everything is just a big ol’ bore. Hopefully, this changes in the 2014 races come the summer. But, I have a feeling that it is going to be more of the same silliness.

Anyhow, I’ll dig around and try to find something today. Again, I know there are some of you that come here; for whatever reasons. Sorry, but I just have not had any sort of interesting stuff to write about here. 🙁 Which is sad too, because I pay a good deal of money every year to keep this domain and my old one up and running; and here I cannot even make content for this site here.

Anyhow, enough of my yammering.
