Uh-oh! Thieves make off with the Secret Service’s truck in Detroit

Oh, this is just what Detroit needs right here…. 🙄

Thieves stole a U-Haul truck in downtown Detroit Saturday night containing equipment for the U.S. Secret Service, which is in town for a Labor Day visit by Vice President Joe Biden.

“It won’t affect the visit at all,” said Secret Service spokesman Edward Donovan. “We would never compromise the security of a visit.”

Donovan said the agency rented the truck to haul equipment, some of which was in the vehicle when it was stolen from outside a downtown hotel, near the intersection of Washington Boulevard and Michigan Avenue. The agents left the vehicle Saturday evening and discovered it missing Sunday morning, Donovan said.

Oh to have been a fly on the wall in that truck, when those thieves opened that back door and realized what they had stolen! 😯 Oh man.

I am quite sure that they uttered a couple words that I will not print on this blog. They may have made up a few as they went along as well. I am also sure that somewhere in that conversation that this was said: “How the heck are we going to fence this stuff?”

Proving my long-held belief that criminals might be brave, they might be bold, — but they are not entirely bright. 😉 😛 Believe me, I know what I speak. I have family members who suffer from “Stupid criminal can’t stay outta jail syndrome.” Thank God and my parents that I never turned out like that; I was good kid, who went to Church and did what my parents told me. (Well, most of the time!!) You know what? It shows too. Only interaction I have never had with the police; was when I got speeding tickets, which were all paid, promptly.

Good ol’ Detroit, where if you don’t nail it down; it will be stolen. 😀

Alright, who left the door open and let the stupid run outside?

Good Lord. First it was Akin and now somebody left the door open, and let the stupid run out!

While I was weeping over my laptop and was trying to keep from going blind, the stupid monster attacked! 😯

Here’s three in a row from the stupid pile:

Via WMUR-TV:

MANCHESTER, N.H. —

A Republican candidate for Hillsborough County Sheriff said Wednesday that he believes elective abortions are unlawful and he wouldn’t reject the use of deadly force to stop them.

Frank Szabo said that as sheriff, he would arrest any doctor performing elective or late-term abortions in his jurisdiction.

“There is a difference between legal and lawful,” Szabo said.

Szabo explained the difference by referring to the issue of slavery, which he said used to be legal but was never lawful under the Constitution. He said that even though elective abortions are legal in New Hampshire, with some restrictions, he doesn’t consider them lawful.

But Szabo may have inflamed the issue further when asked if he would use deadly force to prevent an abortion.

“I would respond specifically by saying that if someone is under threat, a full-grown human being, if they’re under threat, what should the sheriff do? Everything in their power to prevent them from being harmed,” he said.

Yes, forget the Constitution and rule of law, we’ll just kill ’em! WOW! Someone’s not ready for prime time!  😯

Not to be outdone, a judge in Texas foresees a Zombie Apocalypse if Obama is reelected:

Lubbock County Judge Tom Head and Commissioner Mark Heinrich went into great detail Monday night on FOX 34 News @ Nine about why it is necessary to raise the tax rate by 1.7 cents the next fiscal year.

An across-the-board pay increase is needed for the attorneys on the DA’s staff to keep them from being poached by higher-paying counties, and the sheriff needs to expand his staff by seven deputies to reduce call response times, minimize officer fatigue and reduce the turnaround time for investigations.

Judge Head said he and the county must be prepared for many contingencies, one that he particularly fears, is if President Obama is reelected.

“He’s going to try to hand over the sovereignty of the United States to the UN, and what is going to happen when that happens?,” Head asked.

“I’m thinking the worst. Civil unrest, civil disobedience, civil war maybe. And we’re not just talking a few riots here and demonstrations, we’re talking Lexington, Concord, take up arms and get rid of the guy.

“Now what’s going to happen if we do that, if the public decides to do that? He’s going to send in U.N. troops. I don’t want ’em in Lubbock County. OK. So I’m going to stand in front of their armored personnel carrier and say ‘you’re not coming in here’.

“And the sheriff, I’ve already asked him, I said ‘you gonna back me’ he said, ‘yeah, I’ll back you’. Well, I don’t want a bunch of rookies back there. I want trained, equipped, seasoned veteran officers to back me.”

Oh yes, like every black man in this Country is going to become a foaming at the mouth crazy person, if Obama does not get reelected. 🙄 Good grief, where does the GOP get these loonies?!??!

…and finally, the GOP needs to work on its messaging just a wee bit:

Apparently rejecting a more controversial “You Didn’t Really Get Raped, Pregnant Lady” theme for its 2012 convention, the GOP has announced that its Tuesday night session will be themed “We Built This!” The sentiment serves as both a celebration of American entrepreneurship and an attack on President Obama’s previous comments to business owners. President Obama received criticism over his remark, “Somebody helped to create this unbelievable American system that we have that allowed you [business owners] to thrive. Somebody invested in roads and bridges. If you’ve got a business — you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen.”

However, the stadium where the GOP will be announcing “We Built This!” was financed primarily by the government. The Tampa Bay Times Forum arena, which houses the Tampa Bay Lightning, was built in 1996 as the “Ice Palace” with 62% government funds. The total budget for the project was $139 million, of which public money accounted for $86 million and team money accounted for $53 million.

Sarcasm aside… Someone at the GOP needs to do a little homework! 🙄

Chuck Baldwin minces no words about Paul Ryan

I have to like Chuck Baldwin, he does not mince words:

It has happened again. We go through this every four years, and every four years the vast majority of “conservatives” fall for it. This is such a broken record. What did Forrest Gump say: “Stupid is as stupid does”? And wasn’t it P.T. Barnum who said, “There’s a sucker born every minute”? Well, here we go again.

Neocon RINO George H.W. Bush picks “conservative” Dan Quayle. “Conservative” G.W. Bush picks neocon RINO Dick Cheney. Neocon RINO John McCain picks “conservative” Sarah Palin. Now, neocon RINO Mitt Romney picks “conservative” Paul Ryan. As long as there is one “conservative” on the ticket, mushy-headed “conservatives” across the country will go into a gaga, starry-eyed, hypnotic trance in support of the Republican ticket. I’m convinced that if Lucifer, himself, was the GOP Presidential candidate, he would get the support of the Religious Right and Republican “conservatives” as long as he selected a reputed “conservative” to join his ticket. And, by the way, the notable “conservative” wouldn’t think twice about joining such a ticket, either, I’m convinced.

Let’s just get this on the record: since 1960, there have only been two Presidential nominees (from the two major parties) who were not controlled by the globalist elitists. One was a Democrat, John F. Kennedy; the other was a Republican, Ronald Reagan. Kennedy was shot and killed; Reagan was shot. Every other President, Democrat or Republican, has been totally controlled, which is why none of them have done diddly-squat to make a difference in the direction of the country. On the issues that really matter, Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan are just more of the same!

via Chuck Baldwin — Paul Ryan: More Of The Same.

He goes on to say that Ron Paul is the only one; and I disagree with that. However, I will say this; he is right about Romney and Ryan. Which is I am voting for:

Goode/Clymer in 2012

He will not win the election

But voting for anything else is simply Anti-American

Video: There is nothing sexier than Ann Coulter

Except Ann Coulter, when she is a bit pissed off.

The Video: (H/T HotAir.com)

Quote:

“Her response was not that it was despicable, not that Bain… that Romney had left Bain five years earlier or the woman died five years after the plant closed and didn’t even get her insurance from her husband, her response was, ‘Well, if she had lived in Massachusetts with Mitt Romney’s health care plan, she would have had health insurance.’ Anyone who donates to Mitt Romney, and I mean the big donors, ought to say if Andrea Saul isn’t fired and off the campaign tomorrow, they are not giving another dime, because it is not worth fighting for this man if this is the kind of spokesman he has…

There’s no point in you doing your show, there’s no point in going to the convention and pushing for this man if he’s employing morons like this. This ad is the turning point and she has nearly snatched victory from the jaws of defeat! She should be off the campaign.”

Whew! She angry, she really angry. Hope her soon-to-be-hubby doesn’t ever leave the toilet seat down or put the toilet paper on the wrong way. or worse yet, pees in the floor!  😯 She’s might cut his tally-whacker off and feed it to him. 😯

For the record, yes, it was dumb. But cripes, people make mistakes. Even me. I’ve made lots of ’em.

Round up here.

Chick-Fil-A support day a success, Martinsberg, Va Chick-Fil-A gets bomb threat

Legal Insurrection, InstaPundit, and Twitchy are reporting that the Chick-Fil-A support event was a success.

But, there was a bomb threat at a Chick-Fil-A in Martinsberg, Va. The Martinsberg Journal reports:

MARTINSBURG – Police and fire crews closed down the Chick-fil-A on Foxcroft Avenue in Martinsburg for nearly three hours following a bomb threat that was called in just before 1 p.m. today.

The caller mentioned that a “device” had been placed within the restaurant. The building was evacuated, but was deemed safe at about 3:45 p.m. after no bomb or any other type of device was discovered.

Martinsburg City Police and the Martinsburg Fire Department personnel investigated the scene, along with Berkeley County Sheriff Kenny Lemaster. A National Park Ranger with a canine unit arrived at the scene at approximately 2:45 p.m. to assist, and a second from the West Virginia State Police arrived later as well.

According to a release from police, the location of the call was traced and the investigation is following up on leads about the male caller.

“We prosecute to the fullest extent that the law allows for anyone making these types of threats,” the release states.

Hmmmmm… Bomb threat….male voice… I wonder, was Ed Brayton home all day? I’m just sayin. 😯

I would have participated in this as well; but Chick-Fil-A does not have a location in my area. 🙁 So, I could not go show my support.

Once again, Dick Cheney is trying to start a civil war

First it was Iraq, now it is with the Palin supporters. Whew, ol’ boy can’t just say, “yeah, she’s okay.” Oh no, he’s just got to insult every darned Conservative feminist in America. 😯

The Video Via ABC:

video platformvideo managementvideo solutionsvideo player

Did you happen to hear a rather loud thud sound right after he said the words, “She was not ready?” That was George W. Bush passing out dead cold in the floor. I mean, the poor man has spent the last 3 years trying to build the library and what’s left of his legacy and reputation….and what does ol’ Darth Vader do? This.  Memo to Darth Cheney: YOU.ARE.NOT.HELPING….. 🙄

…and of course, Conservatives 4 Palin went into existential meltdown over this:

Apparently, Palin’s not “ready” to sit in an administration for eight years which adds 5 trillion dollars to our unpaid debt basically demoralizing the spirit of conservatism leading to four years of Barack Obama.  Cheney was “ready” for that, wasn’t he?

Palin’s not “ready” to engage in cronyism which dictates who she’d appoint to lifetime positions on the Supreme Court or to head federal emergency agencies like FEMA.  Bush & Cheney were “ready” for that, weren’t they?

Palin is “ready” to balance a budget – since she did it in Alaska.

Palin is “ready” to increase benefits for our esteemed elders while cutting out wasteful spending existing all across our federal government – since she did similar things in Alaska.

Palin is “ready” to call out entrenched special interests like she did when she served up a little justice to the Republican Party’s good old boys and their dealings with big oil.  She did that in Alaska, too.

Palin’s “ready” to unabashedly call out Barack Obama.  This includes pointing out his past associations, his reckless squandering of billions of our dollars to pay back his Wall Street friends (just as Bush/Cheney once did), and his plans to whip Americans into Greece-like big-government submission.   This is in contrast to the establishment’s plans to hold back.

Palin’s “ready” to endorse countless candidates for the Congress.  She’s been successful at using her enormous grassroots influence to pull a great deal of them across the finish line.

Palin’s not ready to fall in line with the establishment.  Until any candidate (including our perceived “front-runner”) demonstrates a full willingness to truly unify with the party’s grassroots, don’t count on her to make deals behind closed doors or hold high-priced fundraisers at her home.

Considering everything Bush & Company were “ready” for, it’s no wonder why Barack Obama was ever put in the position of becoming President of our great Republic.  Now of course, he must be fired.

But after observing the behavior of Cheney, Sununu, and other Romney surrogates, it might serve the interest of the American people to ask whether or not Romney is truly “ready” to do that considering the company he chooses to keep.

[…..]

Very disappointed in Dick Cheney, especially considering what he knows first hand about media and false narratives.

I’d also like to add some comments made….those who suggest Cheney has a right to his opinion and how we have to unite.  They need to only listen to their own advice.  Of course Cheney has a right to his opinion, but “uniting” involves telling the truth and judging one on the basis of their record and their conviction.  Nobody can claim to fighting for this country to the degree Sarah Palin has since 2008 and nobody can deny her record of accomplishment.  He frankly owes her an apology considering who our opponent is supposed to be.

You know that whole thing about “hell hath no fury”? Here it is.

Popcorn? Popcorn hell, this is dinner theater! 😛 😀 😆

Uncertainty at HotAir.com?

I saw the following over at HotAir.com. The topic is rather serious, AllahPundit’s take in it, was very funny.

Via the Weekly Standard, I can’t decide if this is newsworthy or not. It’s like when O says he wants to close Gitmo. On the one hand: Hmmm! On the other hand: Meh. It’s not happening, so who cares?

I admit it, I let out a laugh, when I read it. Hmm! Meh and who cares? All in one posting! 😆

Pick a position please… Before the election, preferably!
