(CNN) — Police are responding to reports of a shooter at Westfield Garden State Plaza Mall in Paramus, New Jersey.
At least one gunman is said to have fired shots at security cameras, the state police said late Monday.
There were no immediate reports of injuries.

Eddie Kahmann, who works inside the mall, told CNN he heard 6 or 7 gunshots around 9:20 p.m. ET.
“There was just people running like crazy, so I quickly just closed my doors, ran to the back, turned off all the lights, music and everything, just to stay hidden,” he said.

Kahmann spoke from inside the mall, one of the largest shopping centers in the New York City area.
Ally Kozic, another mall employee, said she saw “someone dressed in all black, carrying a large gun walk past our store.”

She said she heard loud bangs about 10 minutes before her store was set to close for the night.

There is a large police presence at the mall, which was set to close at 9:30 p.m. ET. There are about 20 vehicles both marked and unmarked.

Ghetto Wars: Detroit police seek answers in triple shooting

Things in Detroit are not what they used to be….

Here is proof:

On Friday, Taeler Shaltry wrote on her Facebook page: “Yah its finally Nov I have 2 more weeks until my expected due date I can’t wait! I’m really excited!!!!”

Two days later, the pregnant woman was killed when she was shot inside a Detroit home. The shooting also injured an elderly man and killed his adult grandson.

Doctors delivered Shaltry’s baby via emergency C-section, saving the infant. On Monday, the baby was in critical condition at Henry Ford Hospital.

Police continued Monday to investigate the shooting at 9206 Meyers on the city’s west side. The Wayne County Medical Examiner’s Office said the woman at the scene died from a gunshot wound to the head. It did not release her name pending identification by her family, but Sharon Shaltry said the victim is her daughter.

Detroit used to be a great place; now it’s a crime ridden cesspool. Who or what is to blame is the question. The answers are more than this blog posting would be able to fill.

It’s a sad thing to watch from 15 miles away. 🙁

Perhaps they should start at the White House

Just a thought….

Law enforcement officials were looking for clues Saturday to what motivated a man with an assault rifle to shoot his way through security at Los Angeles International Airport, killing a Transportation Security Administration worker.

The suspected gunman, who was identified by authorities as 23-year-old Los Angeles resident Paul Anthony Ciancia, also wounded two others in the shooting Friday morning at one of the busiest airports in the U.S. Several other travelers were injured as they fled.

After walking through an “exit” lane reserved for passengers leaving the secure area of the airport, Ciancia pulled a .223-caliber semiautomatic assault-style rifle out of a bag and opened fire at the security checkpoint, authorities said.

Still firing, he continued walking through Terminal 3 of the airport, where police shot him several times in the chest. He was taken into custody in critical condition.

Of course, I don’t know it to be a fact that it was a false flag; but I sure do have my suspicions.

Sherriff Nick Finch Acquitted

Remember Sherriff Nick Finch that I wrote about?

It appears that he has been acquitted.

The New American Reports: (H/T John Birch Society’s HQ)

Justice has been served.

Minutes after noon on Thursday, October 31, an eight-person jury acquitted Sheriff Nick Finch of both charges against him. Finch, the sheriff of Liberty County, Florida, was accused of official misconduct and falsifying records. Finch maintained that he was simply standing up for the right of the people to keep and bear arms as protected by the Second Amendment.

The jury agreed, reaching its verdict in fewer than 90 minutes. Within minutes of being found not guilty, Sheriff Finch spoke with Governor Rick Scott, who reinstated Finch within hours.

“Sheriff Nick Finch will be reinstated immediately,” said Governor Scott in a written statement. “I would like to thank the members of the jury in Liberty County for their service in this trial. I would also like to thank Interim Sheriff Buddy Money for his service to the state of Florida.”

It is ironic that Scott would thank the citizens of Liberty County for their service on the jury when it was Scott’s removal of Sheriff Finch in the first place that served to effectively disenfranchise those very citizens.

[…..]

There is an additional disturbing aspect of the case not being commented on by other news outlets. Imagine that Sheriff Finch had released a man arrested and jailed for having openly preached Christianity in a public place. Would Governor Scott have been so hasty to remove Finch from office? Why would the rights protected by the Second Amendment be subordinate to those guaranteed by the First Amendment?

The protection of each of our God-given rights is as crucial to the perpetuation of liberty as any other. Freedom and self-government are threatened just as much by deprivation of the right to keep and bear arms as by a revocation of the right to exercise religion.

Governor Scott’s persecution and prosecution of a sheriff standing up for the Second Amendment rights of citizens of his county is particularly questionable given the hostile climate that threatens the right to keep and bear arms nationally.

It’s over now, though, and all is forgiven. The fact remains that Finch suffered substantial financial setbacks as a result of his removal and at press time, it was unclear whether Sheriff Finch would receive back pay for the four months he was suspended.

A defense fund was established to help Finch defray the cost of mounting a defense. It is a shame, however, that a good man, a duly elected, liberty minded lawman, was forced into this position by a few connected men and politicians eager to lean on an outsider.

“I am so grateful for all the support from patriots all across the country,” Sheriff Finch told The New American after he was acquitted. “I am thrilled to be back to work.”

I am glad to see that the court made a good decision. I was not sure about the details; apparently the Court didn’t see where the law was broken. I trust the decision.

False Flag? — Gunman opens fire at LAX, TSA Agent killed

Funny how these things just….happen.

The Story:

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A TSA agent was killed and several other people were injured Friday in a shooting at Terminal 3 at LAX, police said.

CBS News’ John Miller said the unidentified suspect entered the terminal wearing camouflage and opened fire around 9:20 a.m.

Preliminary indications show that he was targeting TSA employees, according to Miller.

The suspect pulled an assault rifle out of his bag, began to open fire in the terminal and proceeded to the TSA screening area, where he was able to gain access to the airport itself, according to Chief Patrick Gannon of Los Angeles World Airports.

Personnel officers tracked the man, who was able to travel as far as a Burger King restaurant. Officers then engaged in gunfire with him and were subsequently able to take him into custody, he said.

“We believe there was a lone shooter…only one person that was armed in this incident,” Gannon said.

Memeorandum has the blogger round up and I am not there, as usual.

Update #1: Suspect Named: (via Mediaite)

Update #2 But of course….

The Story via Mediaite:

NBC News reporter Pete Williams identified the suspect in Friday’s LAX shooting as 23-year-old Paul Anthony Ciancia who, according to authorities, had literature on him that suggests “strong anti-government views.” Williams noted, however, that NBC News could not confirm that Ciancia was in any federal or state database or that he had been listed as a potential violent anti-government threat.

Williams reported that Ciancia was born in 1990 and is an American citizen. The motive for why he shot multiple people at the Los Angeles airport, killing one, remains unconfirmed.

“We’re told, that he had strong anti-government views,” Williams reported. “That’s based on some written material that we’re told he was carrying, that they found on him after he was shot by L.A. airport police.”

Williams noted that the shooter may have had some connection with the Transportation Safety Administration and had targeted TSA agents as his victims.

“So, it would seem to be a combination of anti-government views and some kind of grudge against the TSA,” Williams said of the shooter’s motivation.

He added that no database indicates that Ciancia was on a watch list and the shooters home has not been searched.

Why thank you Mr. Ciancia, you just handed the US Democrats and the Democrats in California a golden goose egg. 😡

No, The Republican Party does not need David Barton serving in the Senate

Christians, Tea Party members and Republicans need to avoid people with extreme views.

The National Review’s blog “The Corner” reports:

David Barton, an Evangelical Christian historian who recently made headlines for a controversial history of Thomas Jefferson, is seriously considering primarying Senator John Cornyn (R., Texas), per multiple sources. Rick Green, one of Barton’s closest advisers, tells National Review Online the following in an e-mail:

More than 1,000 (zero exaggeration, that is an actual number) tea party and republican party leaders have asked David Barton to run. Polling says Sen. Cornyn is vulnerable and that’s why he is running ads right now. Like America’s Founding Fathers, David Barton will not “seek” this office, but if the people of Texas speak loud enough in the next few days, he could most certainly be drafted in by the voters.

Another Republican consultant in Austin familiar with Barton’s thinking elaborates on that. “The conservatives are putting in a significant effort to get him into the race, and this is not a drill — he might actually do it,” the consultant tells me. “I think David is probably mulling the race because he’s getting pushed really hard to mull the race. If people weren’t really pushing him hard, I don’t think he would be considering it. He probably fits the one profile which would be really threatening to Cornyn.”

And JoAnn Fleming, executive director of Texas-based Grassroots America We The People, says that a number of tea-party leaders are slated to have a conference call with Barton in the next few days to discuss his senatorial prospects. “We need a Constitutional conservative in that seat,” she says. “We believe that Senator Cornyn has become part of the establishment and we don’t believe that his priorities reflect the priorities of the people of Texas any longer.”

Here is why I say this; David Barton holds to some of the same views as I, on some subjects. However, David Barton’s work and even his book has been brought into question, even by other Christians and political historians. Furthermore David Barton is a believer that America happens to be a Christian Republic. This is a gross error. America is a Constitutional Republic; nothing more, nothing less.

It is one thing to be a blogger or writer that holds to Fundamentalist Christian views, and have some of them to be considered extreme by some. It is another entirely to be a holder of these views and run for public office. I want my elected officials to uphold the constitution; and it alone. I do not want my elected officials to be operating under some sort of pseudo religious mandate. David Barton believes that there is no such thing as a separation of Church and State. While it might be true that the phrase does not exist in the constitution; Thomas Jefferson made it very clear to the Danbury Baptists that there was a full wall of separation between Government and Religion. This is why the pilgrims fled England, because the pilgrims were being persecuted by the Roman Catholic Church! Yet, people like David Barton want Christianity forced upon Americans!

Anyone who says anything other than this, seeks to hijack the United States Government for a religious cause; which flies in the face of the founding principles of this great Nation of ours. Again, we must be alert for Christian extremists, who want to infiltrate our Government for their nefarious purposes. I want a free Republic, not the Christian version of Sharia Law in America.

Christian persecution in Central Asia

The persecution of Baptist Christians is happening in Central Asia.

The Associated Baptist Press reports:

A Baptist pastor in Kazakhstan faces up to a year in prison after refusing to pay a fine equivalent to about two months’ average salary for conducting worship without government permission, the international news service Forum 18 reported Oct. 30.

Police opened a criminal case Oct. 28 against Pastor Pavel Leonov, who was fined in March following a Feb. 28 raid on his congregation in Ayagoz in the region of East Kazakhstan.

Leonov’s church is part of the Council of Churches Baptists, which has a policy of civil disobedience by refusing to pay fines imposed for meeting for worship without the compulsory state registration.

In August he told the court he could not pay the fine because he thinks he did nothing wrong and is the sole breadwinner for his wife and five children and was sentenced to 24 hours in jail.

Forum 18 says Leonov is one of more than 100 people from various faiths in Kazakhstan fined so far this year for offenses such as leading or participating in religious meetings without state permission, sharing their faith with others without being personally registered as missionaries or distributing religious literature away from licensed venues.

This Country’s policy of requiring Church’s to pay fees to have Church licenses, is nothing more than a Communist-like attempt to control what sort of religion is taught. This is nothing more than straight up persecution of Churches. Now, I know what I wrote about the gun issue in the previous posting, that is an American issue and I do believe in abiding by American laws. However, I do have an issue with Government regulations that infringe on basic human rights; whether here in America or abroad.

I ask that all my readers pray for this man and his family; that God would give this man favor in the eyes of this Government. Praying

I have always said, that Christian, and in this case Baptist; Missionaries were the true and real Christians. The difference between an typical America Christian and the missionaries abroad, is that the Missionaries actually put their faith into action. I have always said, that if I ever had it to do over again, that I would have stayed in the Baptist Church and that I would have went overseas to be a missionary. They have my respect, and I always have believed that the secret to a prosperous Church that is thriving and making a difference; is the support of missionaries. Churches that do not support them, often die very quickly, or become cesspools of false doctrine.

May the Lord Jesus Christ richly bless these Missionaries and all missionaries around the World, who are boldly proclaiming the true Gospel of Jesus Christ!
