Heh: Paul Ryan says he’s been mistaken for Anthony Weiner

The Video:

(Via Mlive.com)

Does not really sound like Weiner is too pleased with it either. Via Business Insider:

Former Congressman, New York City mayoral candidate, and Business Insider columnist Anthony Weiner doesn’t appreciate being mixed up with Wisconsin Congressman Paul Ryan.

During a Wednesday event with Michigan Republicans, Ryan recalled being confused with various other politicians, including Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, according to video posted on MLive.com.

“So you have these humbling moments in politics,” Ryan, the 2012 Republican vice presidential nominee, said. “But that wasn’t to be outdone because then I went on this flight a week later and the flight attendents were looking at me and … finally one of them comes up to me, she says, ‘You’re someone famous aren’t you. Are you Anthony Weiner?”

Ryan went on to say he’s been mistaken for Weiner on multiple occasions.

“I’ve been confused with Anthony Weiner twice now,” Ryan continued to laughs. “I have no idea how that happens!”

Weiner, an outspoken progressive whose mayoral campaign last year was rocked by a scandal, told Business Insider having people mix him up with the conservative darling is “the final insult.”

“How much more can I bear?” Weiner asked

If I wanted to be a smarty pants, I could have made a about their noses being about the same size; but, I won’t do that. But, I can say this; considering Paul Ryan’s resume and Weiner’s public reputation; I’d say they’re about the same and have the same depth — much on fluff and less as much on substance.

Neoconservative Anti-Americanism on full display at National Review

My simple question is, what would Buckley think?

Go read

I would have thought I was reading weakly Weekly Standard or Commentary. 🙄

Also too; sure, the bailouts of GM and Chrysler were terrible. But, reading this guy’s tripe; you’d swear he was some sort of anti-American leftist trashing American industry. I also notice that the powers at be over National Review deleted my comments; which exposes the fascist neoconservatives for what they truly are. 😡

What this idiot does not tell people is; that it was the neoconservatives during the Bush 41 Administration who pushed a globalist agenda under Bill Clinton’s terms in office that put GM and the other American car companies in the place that we’re in now. The best this idiot can do, is infer that the Unions caused at all, as well as the bailout.

For those wondering; this is personal with me. My Father gave 31 years to GM, at the Cadillac Assembly Plant in Hamtramck, Michigan. (Now a Chevy plant)  Now my Father is worrying whether he will have a pension in the future or not; because quite frankly, the so-called “conservative” media in this Country is working overtime to accelerate the death of G.M., as are certain cretins in Washington D.C..

We Paleoconservatives know that, as Detroit goes, so goes America. If we lose the auto manufacturing sector in Detroit; the rest of the Country will suffer. It will spark a chain reaction that will never be reversed. There are other good examples of this happening; Allentown PA, Gary Indiana, and many others.

Neoconservatives do not care; they are very well enriched by their corporate crony capitalist friends as well as their elitist friends in politics; who are mostly establishment Republicans — who are wholly owned by the elitist corporate thugs.  Furthermore, their anti-Detroit mentality is entrenched in bigotry; racially and socially.

My friends, this, is the difference between paleoconservatives and neoconservatives.

Oops

The Incompetence of this administration makes George W. Bush’s look like boy scouts:

The CIA’s top officer in Kabul was exposed Saturday by the White House when his name was inadvertently included on a list provided to news organizations of senior U.S. officials participating in President Obama’s surprise visit with U.S. troops.

The White House recognized the mistake and quickly issued a revised list that did not include the individual, who had been identified on the initial release as the “Chief of Station” in Kabul, a designation used by the CIA for its highest-ranking spy in a country.

The disclosure marked a rare instance in which a CIA officer working overseas had his cover — the secrecy meant to protect his actual identity — pierced by his own government. The only other recent case came under significantly different circumstances, when former CIA operative Valerie Plame was exposed as officials of the George W. Bush administration sought to discredit her husband, a former ambassador and fierce critic of the decision to invade Iraq.

via White House mistakenly identifies CIA chief in Afghanistan – The Washington Post.

By the way, Valerie Plame had not be covert for a while, so that part is bullcrap.

Living proof that if you are black, a democrat and have money; you can get anything you want

This is sickening…: (H/T HotAir.com)

Fox News reports: Judge allows long-time Dem Rep. Conyers on primary ballot | Fox News:

A federal judge put Michigan Rep. John Conyers, one of the longest-serving Democrats in Congress, on the primary ballot Friday hours after state election officials declared him ineligible.

Earlier Friday, Conyers lost his appeal to get on the August primary ballot after state officials found problems with his nominating petitions.

But hours later, Detroit federal Judge Matthew Leitman issued an injunction ordering that Conyers’ name be placed on the ballot.

Conyers needed 1,000 petition signatures to get a spot in the Democratic primary. But many petitions were thrown out because the people who gathered names weren’t registered voters or listed a wrong registration address. That left him more than 400 short.

But Leitman’s injunction said a Michigan law that puts strict requirements on petition circulators is similar to an Ohio law that was struck down as unconstitutional by a federal appeals court in 2008.

Leitman said the free speech rights of Conyers and the circulators were harmed, an argument pressed by the American Civil Liberties Union of Michigan.

There’s evidence that the failure to comply with the law was a “result of good-faith mistakes and that (circulators) believed they were in compliance with the statute,” the judge said.

Conyers, 85, told WXYZ-TV,”I’m trying not to smile openly much but this is very good news, and it’s also good news for the process.”

Unbelievable. The man was found unqualified, because the people who gathered the signatures were not registered voters. Rule of law? Not so much, when you are black, a democrat and have money; and possibly corrupt black friends in Government. Entitlement mentality? You don’t know the half of it. This a perfect example why Detroit is terminally screwed and Michigan is not too far behind it. One party rule, entitlement mentality due to past stupidity by elitists.

It honestly makes me ashamed that I was even born in that now crap-hole of a city, it really does. 😡 What kind of message does this send to the children of Detroit? One that laws only apply to white people and those who do not have money? It’s sickening, it really is and someone ought to file a lawsuit challenging this ruling. The trouble is that if someone did this, Mr. Conyers would play the race card and the National liberal media would go after that person. So, basically, it is a lost cause.

Needless to say, it is a sad state of affairs here in the D. 🙁

Slimeball Leftist Tactics

That is the only thing I can think of to describe this stunning display of idiocy:

A Pearl man who runs a political blog is accused of sneaking into a nursing home where U.S. Sen. Thad Cochran’s wife is bedridden and photographing her, then posting the image in a video political “hit piece” on the internet.

Madison Police arrested Clayton Thomas Kelly, 28, of Pearl on Friday night on a charge of exploitation of a vulnerable adult. He’s being held on a $100,000 bond.

Kelly is accused of sneaking into St. Catherine’s Village in Madison, where Rose Cochran has resided since 2000, suffering from progressive dementia and now bedridden.

Cochran on Saturday issued a statement: “I have been fortunate to have a wonderful family, and like so many families, we are deeply affected by my wife’s serious, long-term illness, that we consider to be a very private family matter. We will continue doing everything we can to protect my wife’s safety and security.”

via Man arrested for sneaking into Cochran’s wife’s nursing home.

Just a question to pose to others who might come over and read this, from me linking to their blogs — have any of you people ever thought about the fact that this guy might not be, who he says he is? On the surface, this might look like something that Andrew Breitbart might support; but if you really know what he was about, Andrew would never support anything like this, at all. The reason I say this, is because the left is not above planting operatives and letting them doing something like this to discredit the right. Someone needs to go to this dude’s blog and really check the archives and see just how long he has been blogging. Because something tells me, that this guy is nothing more than some leftist, posing as someone of the right.

If you are wondering what I am hammering at here; I am thinking along the lines of people like this here. If you know what I mean.

Patrick J. Buchanan points out why there are no jobs in America

This is something that I have said for a while now too.:

America is something new in the way of world powers. We not only provide the legions to protect “allies,” but provide the tribute in the form of foreign aid, IMF and World Bank loans, and bailout billions.

Moreover, America has thrown open her home market, largest in the world at $17 trillion, to Europe, Japan, Canada, Mexico, and even China, and invited them to come and capture it from our manufacturers.

In a quarter century, these trade partners have run up $10 trillion in trade surpluses at our expense, eviscerating our industrial base to where Detroit looks like Dresden in 1945.

But while we preach free trade our partners practice protectionism.

The Chinese undervalue their currency to keep imports low and exports high. We are too timid to confront them. The Europeans put value-added taxes on imports from the USA, and rebate the VAT on exports to the USA.

The Japanese, who look on trade as a form of warfare, killed our TV industry and now own huge slices of our auto market.

Last year, Tokyo ran a $60 billion trade surplus at our expense. After our trade deal with South Korea, Seoul’s trade surplus at our expense shot up 25 percent to a record $20 billion. China ran a $318 billion trade surplus with us in 2013, up from $313 billion in 2012.

Our trade deficits finance both the growth of our allies and our adversaries.

via The Philanthropic Superpower – Patrick J. Buchanan – Official Website.

All of the above is a really good reason there are no jobs here. Pat has a very good point about Detroit too. The problem is, that there are two political parties here in America; the stupid party on the left and the war party on the right. Neither of them are committed to preserving the American worker and protecting jobs here. If anything, both parties are committed to keep the élite rich and the crony capitalists protected.

As a result of this, everyday American workers like myself, cannot find jobs at all. As a result of this, everyday Americans workers like myself are forced to sign up for state-paid Medicaid; as so not to be a burden on their families with medical expenses, because of ailments like diabetes, high blood pressure and A.D.H.D. It is indeed a new America — people, like myself; are unemployed and are on state-paid medicaid and are hardly able to get by — robbing them of the American Dream — all the while the President of the United States of America racks up a $40 million dollar vacation tab on the taxpayers dime. In a sane world, that alone would be grounds for impeachment.

But we don’t live in a sane world anymore. We live in the Obama-World, flanked by the stupid party on the left and the war party on the right — and it’s not changing anytime soon. Pat ends his piece with this:

As China’s military power grows, and U.S. armed forces shrink, our allies had best prepare for the day, not too distant, when America decides she will no longer play the philanthropic superpower, and gives up the role and goes home.

As all world powers eventually do.

This time is coming sooner than many think; either that, or it will collapse on itself. God-willing, I will survive that collapse. The question is — will everyone?

Polls show Dems going to be beaten in midterms.

They act like this is a shock. It really shouldn’t be.

Quote:

Democrats face serious obstacles as they look to the November elections, with President Obama’s approval rating at a new low and a majority of voters saying they prefer a Congress in Republican hands to check the president’s agenda, according to a new Washington Post-ABC News poll.

Obama’s approval rating fell to 41 percent, down from 46 percent through the first three months of the year and the lowest of his presidency in Post-ABC News polls. Just 42 percent approve of his handling of the economy, 37 percent approve of how he is handling the implementation of the Affordable Care Act and 34 percent approve of his handling of the situation involving Ukraine and Russia.

Obama’s low rating could be a significant drag on Democratic candidates this fall — past elections suggest that when approval ratings are as low as Obama’s, the president’s party is almost certain to suffer at the ballot box in November.

via Post-ABC News poll shows Democrats at risk in November as Obama’s approval rating falls – The Washington Post.

Another thing too is this:

The Affordable Care Act is expected to be a major issue in the midterm elections. Obama recently urged Democrats to defend the law energetically, particularly after the administration announced that 8 million people signed up for it during the initial enrollment period. Republicans are confident that opposition to the new law will energize their supporters.

The Post-ABC poll found that 44 percent say they support the law while 48 percent say they oppose it, which is about where it was at the end of last year and in January. Half of all Americans also say they think implementation is worse than expected.

Last month, a Post-ABC poll found 49 percent of Americans saying they supported the new law compared with 48 percent who opposed it. That finding was more positive for the administration than most other polls at the time. Democrats saw it as a possible leading indicator of a shift in public opinion, but that has not materialized.

I hate to break it to the Washington Post; but it has materialized and in a big way. Many people have been tossed off their insurance plans and the ones that they ended up getting through Obamacare are costing them more money. Most of these people are not what people would call wealthy; these are working class people who struggle to pay their bills, like everyone else. These people were directly told, by the President that they could keep their plans and that their healthcare costs would go down. This was a direct lie and the President knew it from the beginning. This is why his approval ratings are down from what they were.

Not only that, but the President’s leadership, when it comes to foreign policy; has been utterly piss poor. The man is leading from behind and that simply does not impress the majority of Americans. When confronted about this, the best thing that this President can do is either blame or talk about President Bush’s foreign policy. It’s been a long time since Bush was in office; and I think the American people are actually expecting a bit more than blame shifting, and subject shifting, when it comes to the President.

I think it goes without saying, that the Democrats chickens are coming home to roost.

Progressive Obama apologist blogger attacks Sharyl Attkisson

There are no depths or limits that these progressives jerks will not go to, just to defend that marxist moron in the White House.

Via Gateway Pundit, who I rarely, if ever, link to anymore for some very good reasons. But this one warrants mentioning:

Josh Marshall, the editor and publisher of the leftists media site Talking Points Memo, attacked former CBS News reporter Sharyl Attkisson in an article published Monday morning that reeks of sexism.

Attkisson is in the news for her interview with CNN on Sunday in which she revealed that the Democratic Part front group Media Matters for America helped produce news reports for CBS News.

Attkisson also speculated that Media Matters is being paid by donors to wage an attack campaign against her over her reporting that was critical of the Obama administration.

Marshall’s article is headlined How To Make Yourself Sound Nuts 101.

As every feminist knows, the quickest way for a man to dismiss an inconvenient woman is to question her sanity in public.

Marshall insinuates that Attkisson is paranoid because she claimed her computer was hacked. Then after noting her speculation about Media Matters, Marshall says she has,“serious temperament issues.”

Ah, yes, the woman doesn’t know that her place is being subservient to the Soviet States of Obama.

Marshall closes his sexist hit piece with a sneering reference to the Ingrid Bergman film, Gaslight, in which Bergman is slowly driven crazy by her murderous husband by his surreptitious adjustment of the gaslights in their home, among other devices he employs to drive her around the bend.

“Again, if Media Matters’ intention was to gaslight her, they appear to have succeeded in spades.”

Despicable.

This, my friends, is how far the left has gone amuck. If they cannot win the argument against the Conservatives, they stoop to attack them and try to discredit them. I ought to know; I was once among that crowd, and I once did this very sort of a thing towards the right, when I ran my first blog.

I knew it would happen; back in 2007, when I saw Barack Obama jumping ahead in the primary and when I saw how the others were being taken off the ballots, due to some of the stupidity in the State of Michigan, I knew it was coming. I knew that the media was going into the tank for Obama and I knew that the left wing blogosphere would follow and they did.

The Democrats and the progressive blogosphere knew that they could not stop the Iraq War. So, they did the next best thing. They got behind a black man and used that to win the White House. They will do anything to defend him from any sort of a legitimate attack. if playing the race card does not work. They will use this sort of demeaning attack towards women. Because this how the progressive left works, this is their game. The problem is, you have neoconservative bloggers, who do the same very thing. Which is sad, because the right is supposed to be different.

This goes well beyond right versus left; this is about the left protecting something that they worked hard to get; and defending it has no boundaries. What will be interesting to see, is if Hillary gets the nomination; how these same people will cry “Sexist!” if someone goes after Hillary during the primary and/or the general election in 2016.

UPDATE: I just wanted to add some more to this post. There was a time when I actually respected Josh Marshall. His work during the Bush administration era was excellent. However it seems now that Obama is in office, Josh Marshall has taken to writing partisan hit pieces.

I also want it be known, that I normally don’t go around tossing the sexiest card. Because I’m not much into identity politics when it comes to females, nor do I believe in special treatment of the fairer sex. However, this piece by Josh Marshall goes well beyond that. This piece was nothing more than a slander piece against a professional journalist, who happens to be a female.

Josh Marshalls wordage in this piece was nothing more than a flagrant slam against someone of whom he disagrees with politically. It was juvenile, it was uncouth, it was libelous, and it could very well get him sued. Again, I am NOT into tossing around entitlement cards or using wordage like sexist, racist, or anti semetic. However, this piece went overboard in a big way and I think Josh Marshall should be ashamed of himself and apologize to this woman for what he wrote.

Interesting Interview

Here’s an interesting interview by Thomas Frank at Salon.com. He is interviewing progressive political scientist Adolph Reed, Jr. Click here to read it.

Now, obviously, I do not agree with everything written there and I disagree with some of the conclusions made as well. However, the article does state the affairs of the Democratic Party and the admission that the left has general failed it’s mission, even with Obama.

He also talks about bloggers, the media and a bunch of other things. I highly recommend it as it is a very interesting read.

Chuck Baldwin on Piers Morgan’s leaving CNN and others

I have disagreed and even let this guy have it in the past for things that he is written. But when he’s right…. he’s right.

Quote:

What I am about to say, I rarely, if ever, say about anyone–even those folks with whom I vehemently disagree. I’ve never allowed myself to let my portion of the public debate get personal. But in the case of Piers Morgan, I am willfully backsliding.

Piers Morgan is an oaf of the highest order. He is a boorish braggart, a wanna-be tyrant, and an overall pompous ass. It was British snobs like Piers Morgan that incited the Colonists to revolt. Just looking at Morgan–as he smugly peered down his nose at us freedom-loving Americans–made me want to go to war with Great Britain all over again.

Now it appears that Piers Morgan will be off the airwaves soon–at least during primetime on CNN. All I can say is GOOD RIDDANCE. I also find it amusing that while Piers Morgan is riding off into the sunset, Alex Jones continues to broadcast all over the place. The Colonists won again. Oohrah!
