The U.N. comes to the rescue!

This is the third time, that I am linking to the same article; pretty neat huh? Hee hee It is pretty bad, when you can make three blog entries from the same news article.

Anyhow, The United Nations is coming to the rescue of the Hamas Government and will most likely get them some more money.

The article via CNN:

Gaza City (CNN) — International pressure mounted Monday for an end to the Israeli-Palestinian violence that has left dozens dead and hundreds wounded, with the United Nations chief flying to the region to personally appeal for a cease-fire.

U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon’s call for a truce came on the heels of the single deadliest attack — an Israeli airstrike that killed a family of 10 — in the conflict that began with militant rocket attacks from Gaza that saw Israel respond with an aerial offensive.

“This must stop,” Ban said late Sunday. He called on both sides to cooperate with Egyptian-led effort to broker a cease-fire.

“…I am heading to the region to appeal personally for ending the violence and contribute to ongoing efforts to that end.”

Here is the reason Hamas is firing the rockets, it is over money:

An Israeli special envoy was in Egypt for cease-fire talks Monday, the Egyptian government said, and a steady stream of Arab League, U.N. and European diplomats were arriving in the region to promote a cease-fire.

Hamas is putting conditions on any truce offer. In addition to an end the airstrikes, senior Palestinian negotiator Nabil Sha’ath said Hamas is demanding the end to Israel’s long blockade of Gaza.

The territory has been under a crippling economic embargo since Hamas won control of the territory from the Fatah-led Palestinian Authority, which controls the West Bank.

Hamas also wants Israel to stop targeting the leadership of Palestinian factions and to expand the waters Palestinian fishermen are allowed to trawl from three miles offshore to 30, said Sha’ath, who is also a Fatah leader.

“The attempt is to reach a real stable situation. That’s why they are asking for commitment on Israeli typical aggression and periodic incursions and constant shooting and firing at the fishermen in the sea,” he said.

Israel, meanwhile, has demanded an end to the rocket attacks.

If Israel is wise, they will say, “no conditions” and tell Hamas to either stop the rocket attacks or the war continues. This is how this little conflict should end. But, if I know Israel and its idiotic leadership. They will cave to the demands. You watch and see.

Kudos to CNN for reporting it straight

This is the same article that I previously linked to; but there is something that needs to be written here.

But first the quote from CNN:

U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon’s call for a truce came on the heels of the single deadliest attack — an Israeli airstrike that killed a family of 10 — in the conflict that began with militant rocket attacks from Gaza that saw Israel respond with an aerial offensive.

See the part that I bolded and underlined? There are some networks that are not reporting that fact. Kudos to CNN for reporting the truth, that Hamas started this fight and not Israel.

Some of my readers may not like it, that I actually praised CNN. Well, to them I say this; I praise when it is due and I criticize and condemn, when it is due as well. My standard for doing that is not on a partisan basis. I have noticed that CNN has taken a bit of a centrist stance politically and has trended away from the far-left narrative that once dominated that network at one time. Unfortunately, Christiane Amanpour still works for that Network Amanpour is anti-Christian, Anti-Semitic, woman, if there ever was one. She was the reason why I totally stopped watching that network.

Anyway, as long as CNN continues on this path, they should do well.

Charles Foster Johnson now defending Hamas Terrorists

I saw this and I thought, “No way!” Sure enough, I checked here and here; and I will be doggoned, if he really is defending them. 🙄

What more can we expect from someone who denies the very existence of a Holy and Righteous God?

Clearly, the man has surrendered to the terrorists that he once used to condemn.

Special Comment: Yes, I support and Stand with the Nation of Israel

Some of you might have noticed that new header image on the blog. This is not an accident, this is intentional and I intend to leave that image in place until the end of the warfare between the terrorist group Hamas, which occupies the territory known as the Gaza strip and the sovereign Nation of Israel.

I want it to publicly known, I am not a Jew, nor do I have any Jews in my family. However, I am a 30-year Christian — although, I admittedly am not very good at it, here as of late — but I digress. Because I am a Christian and I am quite familiar with the Word of God, that being the Holy Bible, more specifically the King James Version of the Holy Bible, that being the preserved Word of God for the English speaking people. I happen to know that Israel is God’s Land and that he promised it to his people, that being the children of Israel.

Let me say emphatically that there is absolutely no middle ground in this issue at all! Either you are on the side of God or on the side of Satan, Israel are God’s land and no amount of man denying that fact, or men denying the existence of a Holy and Righteous God will ever change that face. One cannot called themselves a blood washed son of the living God, that being Jesus Christ and have a Switzerland-like attitude towards Israel, Gaza and Palestine, it cannot be done and those who do it are in horrible sin against the Lord.

I have tried that stance and I now realize that I was very wrong for it. Because of this, I am putting my full-throated support behind Israel. The prosperity and freedom of this Nation is tied directly to the support and freedom of Israel. It is in the Bible and if the United States gives Israel the cold shoulder, I assure you all that this Nation will pay a horrible price, spiritually and economically.

I realize that some of the Conservatives out there may feel that I have become a neoconservative or a warmonger. Nothing could be further from the truth. I am still not a supporter of Wilsonian foreign policy and I do hope the United States to remain out of the conflict between these two Nations. I do hope that the United Nations or some other Country can stop the fighting and somehow convince Hamas that pursuing this course of madness against Israel is not wise one.

However, because I am very familiar with history and because I do know how Hamas does business — what will happen is this, Israel will disable Hams ability to fire weapons. Then, the United Nations or some Country will get more foreign aid to Hamas. Hamas will then turn around and use that money to acquire more weapons and fire them on Israel again. This is how it has worked for ages.

The correct solution is this; Israel needs to destroy Gaza, Hamas and the people in Gaza and if Palestine has a problem with it — destroy Palestine as well. However, Israel will not do this, Israel will continue to play this silly and quite idiotic “cat and mouse” game with Gaza and Palestine repeatedly. This will continue until the appearance of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, who will go to war with the armies of the World at the battle of Armageddon, which is spoken of in the book of Revelation in the Bible.

In closing: To the believers in Christ, do not be troubled by any of this, as it is spoken of in the Bible. This battle is acceleration, of many, towards the day of the final showdown, between good and evil, which is spoken of in the Bible. We shall be victorious saints, as will Israel and Christ will reign in that Holy City Jerusalem once again!

What Gilad Sharon Said!

I got one word to say about the below quoted. A-farking-men!

Anyone who thinks Hamas is going to beg for a cease-fire, that Operation Pillar of Defense will draw to a close and quiet will reign in the South because we hit targets in the Gaza Strip, needs to think again.

With the elimination of a murderous terrorist and the destruction of Hamas’s long-range missile stockpile, the operation was off to an auspicious start, but what now? This must not be allowed to end as did Operation Cast Lead: We bomb them, they fire missiles at us, and then a cease-fire, followed by “showers” – namely sporadic missile fire and isolated incidents along the fence. Life under such a rain of death is no life at all, and we cannot allow ourselves to become resigned to it.

A strong opening isn’t enough, you also have to know how to finish – and finish decisively. If it isn’t clear whether the ball crossed the goal-line or not, the goal isn’t decisive. The ball needs to hit the net, visible to all. What does a decisive victory sound like? A Tarzan-like cry that lets the entire jungle know in no uncertain terms just who won, and just who was defeated.

To accomplish this, you need to achieve what the other side can’t bear, can’t live with, and our initial bombing campaign isn’t it.

THE DESIRE to prevent harm to innocent civilians in Gaza will ultimately lead to harming the truly innocent: the residents of southern Israel. The residents of Gaza are not innocent, they elected Hamas. The Gazans aren’t hostages; they chose this freely, and must live with the consequences.

[….]

There is no middle path here – either the Gazans and their infrastructure are made to pay the price, or we reoccupy the entire Gaza Strip. Otherwise there will be no decisive victory. And we’re running out of time – we must achieve victory quickly. The Netanyahu government is on a short international leash. Soon the pressure will start – and a million civilians can’t live under fire for long. This needs to end quickly – with a bang, not a whimper.

Which is precisely how I feel; anyone that really believes that the people in Gaza are somehow victims, is out of their minds. The people of Gaza knew what they were getting, when they elected Hamas into Government there. Now, they will have to deal with the consequences.  As I wrote before, Here is hoping that Israel bombs them into the 18 century.
