The Painfully Obligatory Political Big Bird Posting

I won’t belabor this.

Here is my posting  about the very silly political big bird story….thing. (What else am I gonna call it?)

I will simply do what I do best…..say, CUE THE MUSIC!

Confirmed: Marc Lamont Hill is a black racist bigot

You can file this one under the heading of “What if a white person wrote something like this?”

I am referring to the anti-white, racist, bigoted screed written by Marc Lamont Hill titled, “The 15 Most Overrated White People.”

As you all know, I am not a racist; meaning that I do not hate blacks or Latinos or any other race at all,  I am, however, a racial realist. I do know, however, the thought that came to my mind, when I read that bunch of anti-white, racist screed; however, because I want to try to keep this blog within the boundaries of good taste and within the confines of Christianity, or at least as good of Christianity as I can keep up without coming off sound like some sort of “No earthly good” religious pharisee —- I will not tell you what that thought truly was.

I will not bother quoting that screed over here, as I do not want to waste my blog’s resources on that simply minded buffoon. However, I will say this: This is what the Democratic Party does, divide people. The divide America through race warfare, class warfare; blacks against whites, whites against blacks, Latinos against blacks, blacks against Latinos, Christians against Jews, Jews against Christians, Muslims Against everyone, Muslims against Jews, Muslims against Christians and it goes on and on.

It is simply wrong and it is the reason I will never, ever, in a million years — vote for another Democratic Party candidate again, ever. They left me in 2008 and I doubt they’ll ever be back again.

This is simply a textbook example, among many; of what the liberal progressive movement and by proxy, what the Democratic Party has become in the 21 century. It is truly a tragic thing. 🙁

I wrote a little while back about positive progress; well, this here, is NOT it, at all. 😡

Sandusky Sentenced to 30 to 60 years for Child Sexual Molestation

As the victim of an attempted molestation when I was 10 years old, this story is a personal one to me.

BELLEFONTE, Pa. —  Jerry Sandusky, a former Penn State assistant football coach, was sentenced Tuesday morning to 30 to 60 years in prison for sexually abusing boys, crimes that roiled the university community and shook one of major college football’s most prominent programs.

The ruling was handed down in Centre County Court by Judge John Cleland, and it essentially guaranteed that Sandusky, 68, would die in prison. The sentencing came roughly three and a half months after a jury found him guilty of 45 counts of child sexual abuse.

Sandusky, the jury determined, had abused 10 boys, all of them from disadvantaged homes. Sandusky used his connections to the Penn State football program, as well as his own charity for disadvantaged youth, the Second Mile, to identify potential victims, get close to them and then sexually violate them.

I have one thing to say, let that son-of-a-bitch rot in jail. What’s more sickening, the idiot says he is not guilty. Here is hoping someone kills this lousy piece of dung in jail.

You say, “What about Love and compassion?” I’ll let someone else do the Love and Compassion bit. I hope he rots. 😡

If there was ever a textbook case for a need of a National death penalty in this Country — or at the very least, a death penalty in all 50 States in the union; this right here, is one of them.

The message in Tim Tebow’s tweet is about the power of God

Tim Tebow the famous Christian football player sent out a tweet which had some people wondering about what he meant.

The Christian Post Reports:

Like it has been for much of Tim Tebow’s career, it was all about the numbers heading into the N.Y. Jets game against the Houston Texans on the 666th edition of Monday Night Football.

“Looking forward to giving God all the glory in tonight’s 666th Monday Night Football game. Romans 8:37-39,” Tebow tweeted Monday morning.

Once again, as has happened many times before, the sports media turned to talk of Bible scripture and faith as the result of something Tebow said or posted.

USA Today sports writer Chris Chase went so far as to use Tebow’s “666” reference to begin his article with the Bible verse Revelation 13:8. “This calls for wisdom: let the one who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man, and his number is 666,” Chase quoted from the English Standard translation.

“I’m down with Tebow’s religious beliefs and appreciate that he uses his forum to promote them, but I’m not sure what he was going for here,” wrote Chase. “Does playing in a game number that’s identical to the mark of the beast worry him? Or is anything with the number 666 a good way to promote his faith?”

Naturally, we cannot expect these unconverted heathen to understand what Mr. Tebow was trying to convey at all. Here is the scripture that Mr. Tebow was quoting, in the actual Word of God — that is the King James Bible:

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. — (Romans 8:35-39 KJV)

Actually, Mr. Tebow did not quote quite enough of that scripture, he only quoted 37-39, the actually good part is from 35-39. But, I digress.

Tim Tebow was publicly declaring his faith in Jesus Christ. Which is commanded by the Lord Jesus Christ in the Bible, see here:

Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.  — (Matthew 10:32-33 KJV)

Those are the Words of Jesus Christ, recorded by the Apostle Matthew. The Apostle Luke also recorded it in greater detail:

Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God: But he that denieth me before men shall be denied before the angels of God. And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but unto him that blasphemeth against the Holy Ghost it shall not be forgiven.  — (Luke 12:8-10 KJV)

So, you see, The Lord was not kidding around about that sort of a thing; He meant business. Furthermore, I feel the need to expound another aspect of what Tim Tebow was trying to say in his tweet; whether he knew it or not. Let me say up front; this is where I am going to start sounding like a preacher. I will disclose this now. There was a time, when I was working on getting a degree for Ministry. I really cannot be a Pastor, because I am not married. However, I do know my way around theology a bit. I have been a saved, Born-Again Christian for 30 years. I spent 21 years in the Pentecostal movement. I was saved a Baptist at age 9, in a Baptist Church in Detroit in 1982. I left the Baptist circles in 1984, due to a school change and just started attending an Assemblies of God Church in Detroit, which recently closed after 35 years. In 2004, after many years of watching the Pentecostal movement simply change from what it was, to what it is now —- I walked away from it and went back to the Baptist faith. You see, Baptist is not a denomination, although a few denominations out there call themselves Baptist. Baptist is a way of belief and it dates back to the Apostles of Christ. I suggest reading  The Trail of Blood to see what I am talking about.

Anyhow, back to what I was talking here, before I got off in the weeds. Tim Tebow was also making a another statement and that statement is this here: That Jesus Christ is the Son of the Living God and is all powerful and has dominion over Heaven and Earth. Satan, on the other hand, is a already defeated foe and has limited power. Furthermore, Mr. Tebow was declaring that if you accept Jesus as your personal Savior, that you can enjoy eternal life with God forever. This is the simple truth that has been known throughout the ages, including by those who founded this Country. It is also the bedrock believe that this Nation held to for many years and because of that, this Nation enjoyed many years of abundant prosperity.

I think it goes without saying, that we really need to get back to those beliefs. Now, as a Fundamentalist Baptist; I reject the notion of a corporate Salvation or Christianity. However, I do believe that the Christian values that this Country once held, have been watered down and cast aside as old hat. I believe this happened for a large number of reasons — many of which are beyond the scope of this blog posting. I also reject the notion that this Nation will have another revival. Sadly, the days of revival are over in this Country. I believe before the rapture of the Church comes, I believe things on this earth are going to become much darker and much more evil. I know, it is a fatalist outlook, but the Word of God does bare that out.

GM’s jobs news is nothing more than a ruse

Great and wonderful news, right? Wrong.  Just another bogus headline from a company that is about ready for bankruptcy.  This story comes via MLive.com.

General Motors Co. and the state are expected to announce today that GM will create 2,000 new jobs in Michigan, beginning with up to 1,500 at a new information technology innovation center in Warren.

The automaker and the Governor’s Office are expected to make formal announcements later today.

It’s unclear where GM would add the other 500 jobs, but the state says the innovation center is the first of three projects the company will announce.

GM will invest $300 million combined for the three. The state said GM plans no major investment spending on the information technology center; it will be housed in an existing building undergoing renovation on the Warren Tech Center campus.

The center will hire 1,500 new employees within four years and will add to information technology employment already in Warren, Randy Mott, GM’s vice president of information technology and chief information officer, said in a Friday interview.

via GM to add 2,000 jobs in Michigan | The Detroit News | detroitnews.com.

This is where I am going to get accused of sounding like a Democrat or something worse.

This headline is the biggest stinking joke, since the election Barack Obama. These jobs above here? There are not jobs that anyone could do, you know, like me? These jobs are one that would need some serious degrees —- none of which I honestly have at all. So, these are not 2000 jobs for the public, like labor jobs; as the labor jobs are protected by the unions. These are tech jobs that will end up being filled by immigrants, legal or otherwise from foreign countries; who have the degrees to get these jobs. The rest will go to protected minorities, who happen to have those degrees as well.

I just have to ask aloud; how much of this investment, came from the taxpayers dollars that ended up bailing out this failed business? I really do not know if I really want to know the answer to that or not. However, what I will say is this here; the local Detroit media needs to stop with the dishonest headlines and get out of tank for the big three.  I mean, do not get me wrong, I want to see General Motor succeed, as their success personally affects my family, namely my Father, who retired from that company after 31 years. But, when I see dishonest headlines like this, it disgusts me. People scanning through, think GM is mass hiring workers for the plants. Which they are not, they are hiring salaried employees, that they really do not need and doing this, will most likely make them go broke again.

It is time, that the local Detroit media started telling the complete truth about the big three.

A very touching tribute

For Andrew Breitbart, is found here.

I couldn’t stay long; the nearby burial service was ending and I wished to be gone before they passed by. I bent down on one knee, my hand touching the location marker as I said a very Catholic prayer in a Jewish cemetery, asking God to take Andrew James Breitbart into His eternal rest and favor. I didn’t cross myself so as to not offend anyone who might have happened to look my way, but inside I did. I then stood up and quietly walked away.

As I said, I’ve answered the question for myself.

Andrew Breitbart belongs to God now.

He couldn’t be in better hands.

Amen.

One slight quibble; I would have not mentioned where he was buried. There are just way too many crazy people, who hated the man’s guts, that are out there. Plus too, there are some things that should just be kept private. Breitbart belonged to his family, not us. Yes, he made himself public, but in the end. He was simply not ours. He made himself available, but now, he is gone and should be left to rest in peace.

Like many others, I never had any personal interaction with him; once, he did do something that made me angry. I will not go into it, as it really does not matter anymore. But, he was a powerhouse, who made lots of friends on both sides of the political spectrum. Heck, even his worst enemies said nice things about him, when he died. Which is a quite a feat.

The people that I feel sorry for, are his family; his Wife and Children. They are the ones who lost, not us. We will always have someone fighting against the liberals. We will always have blogs, twitter and facebook. However, Andrew’s family will never have — Well, Andrew, around anymore. This is the part that breaks me up to think about; that Andrew was so caught up in politics, that it caused or at least contributed to his demise. It should serve as a sobering reminder; one that we should all look after ourselves and not take any silly chances with our health and two, that we should all take a big step away from the computer and politics and enjoy life.

Rest in Peace Andrew — We’ll take it from here.

No, Facebook is not MySpace

This is a good article, but the insinuation is totally off base.

The media business eats itself. General-interest magazines, national television networks and all-purpose portals are always succeeded by an ever-narrower special-interest approach. This has tended to happen over a reasonably long span of time, a generation or two, but in an ever-quickening world, the term du jour is the “disassembling” of Facebook, which, arguably to its detriment, has just added its billionth monthly user.

Not only is Facebook challenged by its inability to grow advertising revenue fast enough — the primary culprit in its 50% share-price plunge — but now it’s facing a carve-up of the social experience.

via Michael Wolff: Facebook is . . . MySpace?.

Mr. Wolff goes on to explain that there are newer and somewhat cooler apps and social media sites out there and that is a very valid point. However, to compare a social media site that was mostly geared towards teens in the beginning, that later on tried to reinvent itself to appeal to a broader base — to a site like facebook is totally unfair. Facebook is a much more broader appealing social networking site. Heck, my Mother is on the silly site, as is my Father; heck, my Dad has two accounts there! Why? Farming. He is on Farmtown and has like 16 farms on that silly game, between the two accounts!  Yes, my Mother is a farmer as well. I did that for a while myself, but I found it to be much too time consuming to bother with it. I had more important things to waste my time on; like blogging! 😉

I think the point that Mr. Wolff is missing, seeing that he is looking at it from a money standpoint, is this; Social media, as with technology, is always evolving. In other words, someone out there, driven by a desire to succeed is always going to figure out a way to something better than the old way of doing it. This happens in capitalistic society and it is not really a bad thing; it is called progress and yes, it is of the good kind. 😀 Heck, if we did not have that, we would all still be listening to reel to reel tape and getting our news off black and white TV’s. Not mention that Computers and Internet,  blogging and even social media would not exist.

However, I will this; I see Mr. Wolff’s point on Facebook’s ROI. I thought it to be a bit premature to introduce Facebook to the stock market. I thought that to be quite presumptuous and a bit bold. I was right, it was and that is why the stock dropped like a rock. I think also too, that the stock was overhyped and there are some people that remembered the dot com bubble that burst. Some investors were just not willing to gamble on a website again. Big as facebook is, and as big of a company that Facebook has become; it is still just a social media website and not a brick and mortar business.

Still, it is a excellent way to keep up with old friends, family members and yes, a good way to play farmtown.

Video: This is why I will never, ever, ever, allow alcohol at my wedding party

I have never been married at all; but if I should ever take that plunge, there will one ground rule at my wedding —– No drinking of any sort of alcoholic beverages at my wedding party, at all, period, end of story.

Because of stuff like this right here; this is from philly:

youtube placeholder image

Here is story via Philly.com:

Update: Philadelphia police said the melee was not only between guests from the same wedding party but also between guests from two separate wedding parties. Both feuds started in the hotel bar, police said.

“There was an issue with a lot of alcohol fueling the fight,” said police spokesman Lt. Ray Evers.

Two summary citations for disorderly conduct were issued to men in their late 20s, Evers said. A third man – the one whom police hit with a baton in the video – remains behind bars. Police are deciding whether to charge him with assault on an officer and Evers said, “It’s definitely leaning that way.”

A man died of heart attack after an all-out brawl broke out at a Society Hill wedding early this morning, and part of the melee was caught on video.

Police had little information on the fight, which occurred during a wedding at the Society Hill Sheraton on Second and Walnut streets, but a video posted by a hotel guest to YouTube this morning shows a chaotic scene with guests fighting police and a woman letting out blood-curdling screams.

At least seven police officers can be seen on the video, one of whom repeatedly uses his baton to strike a wedding guest.

The person who took the video, who says that it’s his birthday and he wishes the wedding guests would just go to bed, at one point asks “Did they just deck the bride?”

Police said a 57-year-old guest, reported to be the uncle of the bride, was found unconscious outside of the wedding at 2:06 a.m. He was taken to Jefferson University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead of a heart attack at 2:51 a.m.

This has to be every young ladies nightmare, a fight breaking out at her wedding. I have a friend, who’s Dad told me about a fight breaking out at his wedding and yes, drinking was involved. What a disgrace, grown people, acting like total animals and getting beaten by the police! This is what the World is coming to people, chaos!

Again, this is why I will never allow any sort of alcohol at a wedding; because stuff like this happens.
