Textbook example of partisan media hypocrisy

One of my many gripes with the liberal media, as opposed to the Conservative media is the utter hypocrisy of the entire thing.

What I talking about?

This:

It seems that one of Tucker Carlson’s employees ever at The Daily Caller got himself into some hot water over some so-called “Sexist Tweets.” Progressive blog Talking Point Memo has the back story on it. Now, I am not saying the guy was right or wrong; in fact, I could honestly care less about what he wrote. However, I have to point something here; utter hypocrisy!

This is what a contributor to Rolling Stone magazine, who is a supposedly a marxist said on twitter:

https://twitter.com/lachlan/statuses/446676805404360704

Michelle Malkin’s former startup blog, Twitchy has this backstory on it.

Now here’s my beef with this whole thing. Tucker Carlson had actually apologize for his employee’s tweet. Now, do you honestly think that Rolling Stone magazine is going to have to apologize for its contributor’s Anti-Semitism? I think not. Which brings me to the point of this posting.

The point is that there is a horrific double standard in the liberal media. If a liberal progressive says something, like this douche-nozzle did; he gets off without any sort of repercussions. However, you let a Conservative say anything that is even remotely sexist, racist or even remotely anti-semitic and there is a utter media frenzy over it. Not to mention that the person who did it and his employer end up have to give an offering to the gods of political correctness.

Now to be clear here; I am not much into tossing around the Anti-Semite card, because I have been accused of that stuff myself. Which, by the way, is a crock of crap. However, I just find it quite amusing that the liberal progressive left; does not live up to the very standards that they like to set for others, who happen to disagree with their political beliefs and personal worldview.

The bottom line is this: If you are going to preach political correctness and are going to insist that we on the political right to conform to some sort of idiotic politically correct code —- at least try to live up to the code yourselves. Otherwise, do not preach to us on the right who decide that we want to say something that does not live up to your idiotic standards.

Controversial Baptist Pastor Fred Phelps has died

Now unlike these people here, I will not make this a hate post.

The Story:

TOPEKA, Kan (WIBW) Fred Phelps Sr., the former head of the Westboro Baptist Church, died late Wednesday night, according to a family member.

Phelps’ son, Timothy told 13 News that his father died just before midnight. Timothy Pheps works at the Shawnee Co. Jail.

Ironically, another son who is a member of the church, attorney Jonathan Phelps told us Thursday morning, “Pastor Phelps is doing just fine.” That, of course, could have been a spiritual reference.

Over the weekend, we learned that Phelps was reportedly “on the edge of death.”

In a statement on his Facebook page, Nathan Phelps, who has been estranged from his father for 30 years, said the senior Phelps was dying in hospice care in Topeka, Kan., and that he had been ex-communicated from his own church in August of 2013.

Fred Phelps was a man bent on delivering a message. He did it by becoming a lawyer and by becoming a minister.

Despite being disbarred in 1979, Fred Phelps pushed his name into the public eye, through the political arena in campaigns to vie for Senator and Governor. Phelps scored 30-percent of the vote in his 1992 senate bid.

In the early 90s, wearing sunglasses and a windbreaker, Fred Phelps was making a name for the family church by holding one of a barrage of picket signs, with the stark messages decrying homosexuality.

via Fred Phelps, former head of Westboro Baptist Church, died, family member says.

I previously wrote about this man and his status within his Church. It also appears that Phelps daughter has confirmed it as well.

Now, a few words on Fred Phelps:

Fred Phelps — No matter what you think about him and his religious beliefs; one thing cannot be denied and that is that Fred Phelps stood for what he believed in — to the point of being an annoying person. Yes, he created a monster. Yes, his beliefs were wrong according to mainstream Christian beliefs and yes, even among mainstream Baptist beliefs, even among Fundamentalists like myself. Yes, He did write and say, and even did things that would be construed as hateful to the rest of America.  However, at least he actually stood for something. Which is rare in these days of “go along to get along.”

These days you cannot even get a Christian or even a Baptist for that matter; especially a high-profile one to even admit that they actually believe that homosexuality is even a sin! Not to mention that, if someone sticks a microphone in front of a Christian and asks them if they think homosexuals are going to hell, you usually get mindless stammering and double-talk.

One can say what they will about Fred Phelps, but one thing that cannot be said about him and that is that he was some sort of a coward. I cannot begin to unwind or even begin to understand what made Fred Phelps tick. However, what I can tell you is this; Fred Phelps had a conviction that drove him to do what he did; even to the point of putting himself and his followers in harm’s way.

To Christians and Baptists alike, Fred Phelps should be remembered as someone who was actually bold enough to take a Biblical stand against homosexuality. Fred Phelps should be remembered as someone who did stand for and believe in the Authority and superiority of the King James Bible. Sure, he was a hardcore Calvinist. Sure, his theology was a bit off by most and even his actions were not considered in good taste. But, at least the man had the audacity to actually stand up and protest against the homosexual lifestyle as a vile, awful, sexual lifestyle that is roundly condemned in the Word of God; Old Testament and New Testament —- Something that of which this writer concurs

May Fred Phelps Rest in Peace and may God be with the Phelps Family this day in their time of loss.

Keith Olbermann was right, The NSA was/is recording every phone call!

The Video:

The Story:

The National Security Agency has built a surveillance system capable of recording “100 percent” of a foreign country’s telephone calls, enabling the agency to rewind and review conversations as long as a month after they take place, according to people with direct knowledge of the effort and documents supplied by former contractor Edward Snowden.

A senior manager for the program compares it to a time machine — one that can replay the voices from any call without requiring that a person be identified in advance for surveillance.

The voice interception program, called MYSTIC, began in 2009. Its RETRO tool, short for “retrospective retrieval,” and related projects reached full capacity against the first target nation in 2011. Planning documents two years later anticipated similar operations elsewhere.

In the initial deployment, collection systems are recording “every single” conversation nationwide, storing billions of them in a 30-day rolling buffer that clears the oldest calls as new ones arrive, according to a classified summary.

The call buffer opens a door “into the past,” the summary says, enabling users to “retrieve audio of interest that was not tasked at the time of the original call.” Analysts listen to only a fraction of 1 percent of the calls, but the absolute numbers are high. Each month, they send millions of voice clippings, or “cuts,” for processing and long-term storage.

At the request of U.S. officials, The Washington Post is withholding details that could be used to identify the country where the system is being employed or other countries where its use was envisioned.

via NSA surveillance program reaches ‘into the past’ to retrieve, replay phone calls – The Washington Post.

I tend to believe that this program was going on long before 2009. In fact, Keith Olbermann talked about it on his show.

Here’s the videos:

So, again, I have to ask; why is this news? I knew about this, back when Keith was still on MSNBC. Which proves another theory that I was always believed; that no matter which political party is in office, the government is still big, the government still does stuff, like this here, and no matter what kind of political posturing goes on, stuff like this here, will continue to happen.

This is also why I simply do not much get into partisan politics. The same stuff that went on, during the Bush Administration; is still going on during the Obama Administration.  Hope and Change was nothing more than a political slogan. The Government had no intention on stopping this sort of a thing. All in the name of “National Security” against something that the United States Government created themselves in the first place! (That being terrorism)

The truth is, that if the United States of America had not opened that military base in Saudi Arabia, the towers in NYC would have never been hit. If we kept our noses out of Arab peninsula; we would not be in the place we are now.

Before anyone says it; this is not a liberal blog posting. I am not a Democrat at all. I voted for Bob Barr in 2008 and Mitt Romney in 2012. I voted for John Kerry in 2004 and Al Gore in 2000. I do not vote party, I vote for whom I think can do a better job, than the current person in office. However, I am not a fool. I know how this Government operates and I do not trust it at all. This above, is a classic example of such. I came into this blogging stuff in 2006, as a skeptical left-of-center, knowing full well what happened during the Clinton Administration with the Waco disaster in Texas. I did not trust the Government after that little event and I still do not. Of course, we all know that the Waco siege led to the Oklahoma City bombing.

I will not lie to you; I have been literally on pins and needles, worried that something, like the Oklahoma City bombing, will happen again. Paranoid people, who are scared of their Government, who have access to things, like Timothy McVeigh did; tend to lash out like that. So far, we have been quite lucky that this sort of a thing has not happened again.

I tend to believe that the reason things like that have not happened again, is because of this beautiful thing we call the internet is in place now and with the advent of blogs, and social media; people tend to be more connected and are able to communicate more and are not as isolated. Which tends to make people feel like they are not alone in their feelings about the Government.

Anyhow, back to the point of this posting. The truth is that this Government of ours, has been doing this sort of a thing for a very long time. I tend to believe that the program as described above, has been going on for a very long time. Just under a different name or something to that effect. Anyone who believes anything other than this; is fooling themselves.

Now this is my kind of an app!

Finally! An app for my social type!

The Story:

We have myriad tech-enabled ways to encounter friends (and strangers!) in real life. We can check in on Foursquare. Tag a location on Instagram. Swipe on Tinder. Tweet, from just about anywhere.

The inevitable backlash has, at last, arrived: It’s called Cloak, and it’s an “antisocial network” that uses social check-ins and other geo-location information to help you avoid people you’d, well, rather not see.

Here’s how the app works. After downloading Cloak for the first time, you can connect it with Foursquare and Instagram (with more networks to come soon). Cloak then plots where your Foursquare and Instagram contacts are, according to their most recent check-ins. You can casually check the map, or — for exes, chatty neighbors and other undesirables — “flag” them to receive an alert when they pass within a preset radius.

via Meet Cloak, the ‘antisocial’ network that helps you avoid people.

You bet your dollar I will be downloading this; I have to try it. I’m not much into the social interaction thing, at all. So, it’s going on the phone. Finally! An app I can actually use! 😀

Update: I just checked the website for the app. It’s only available for apple devices on the iTunes store. Ugh. 🙁 Not fair. Hopefully, they make a version for Android soon.

Dear @YouTube, you suck

Man I tell ya. I dont know whos programming youtubes Android app, but I’m thinking they need to go back to programming school.

What happened is this, up till today youtubes Android app was working just fine on my phone. Now the Android app comes up and then immediately crashes. I don’t know what they did to update it if they even updated it today. But it is seriously not working on my phone. I have for what it’s worth galaxy s4.

I have submitted the crash report and hopefully they get it straightened out. because I really do immensely enjoy watching YouTube videos like music stuff here in the bed with my phone. Now I can’t do that which sucks.

So, to the folks up at YouTube please fix your app for Android phones ASAP!

This right here is why people simply do not take the Republicans seriously anymore

Unbelievable. 🙄

The Video:

The Story:

A package of bills in Minnesota that would enhance women’s economic security by raising the minimum wage, providing paid family and sick leave and addressing the gender pay gap makes women “look like whiners,” a state GOP lawmaker said last week.

“We heard several bills last week about women’s issues and I kept thinking to myself, these bills are putting us backwards in time,” State Rep. Andrea Kieffer (R) told colleagues at a Wednesday hearing on one of the measures. “We are losing the respect that we so dearly want in the workplace by bringing up all these special bills for women and almost making us look like whiners.”

The progressive group Alliance for a Better Minnesota has posted the audio recording of Keiffer’s remarks and circulated a petition asking voters to denounce it.

via GOP Lawmaker Says Sick Leave, Equal Pay Bills Make Women ‘Look Like Whiners’.

This right here, is why people refer to the Republican Party, as the stupid party. Whiners!?! Seriously?!?! I have news for this clueless dolt, if it were not for a few whiners; this stupid woman would not even be able to vote in elections.

Again, this is why the Republican Party is not winning elections. Also too; Yes, I know it is a progressive website, okay? So, spare me the lectures on linking to liberal sites. Because this time, the liberal progressives have a point! This was totally stupid and she ought to resign her position, because it is quite obvious to this writer, that this stupid woman is not ready for prime time at all.

UPDATED: Fred Phelps near death and kicked out of own Church – Second estranged son confirms news, Church mum on Phelps status

A very interesting headline for a Sunday.

Via Nathan Phelps Facebook page: (H/T to Rod Dreher)

I’ve learned that my father, Fred Phelps, Sr., pastor of the “God Hates Fags” Westboro Baptist Church, was ex-communicated from the “church” back in August of 2013. He is now on the edge of death at Midland Hospice house in Topeka, Kansas.

I’m not sure how I feel about this. Terribly ironic that his devotion to his god ends this way. Destroyed by the monster he made.

I feel sad for all the hurt he’s caused so many. I feel sad for those who will lose the grandfather and father they loved. And I’m bitterly angry that my family is blocking the family members who left from seeing him, and saying their good-byes.

A terrible end to a man, who thrived on hate.

Update #1: The Topeka Capital Journal gets a confirmation as to Phelps status, but Church declines to acknowledge Phelps status in Church. But, second estranged son conforms reports.

UPDATE #2: …and of course, the “tolerant” liberal left spews their hate. Heck of way to represent your cause guys… 🙄

Update #3: I just want to make something absolutely clear here: I am fully aware of how Phelps picketed the funerals of American Military staff. I thought it then, and still do think that it was totally despicable. Furthermore, I want it to be publicly known that I DO NOT support Mr. Phelps Theology. He and his Church are Calvinist and teach absolute predestination. Not to mention that fact that he is a total hatemonger. Basically, Phelps taught that God hated sin AND the sinner. Which is totally wrong, according to the Word of God. It is true that Calvinists believe that Christ only died for the elect of God. We as non-calvinists believe in a “General Election” and that God gave everyone a free will. What that means in layman’s terms; is that we believe that CHRIST DIED FOR ALL and all are free to accept or reject the love gift of Salvation.

Just wanted to clear that up… 🙂

Update #4: A blogger roundup @ Memeorandum

Proxy gate slammed shut

Due to an overabundance of trolls and lame idiots that have nothing else better to do, than leave pud comments here; I have made it impossible for anyone to leave a comment or even much less access this site via proxy server.

The way I see it, if you are that big of a coward, that you have to hide behind a proxy server; you don’t deserve the privilege of viewing my blog.

Sorry, but the trolls ruined it for everyone.
