Eternal Truths

Something that I have known for a very long time. David W. Cloud, a Fundamental Baptist Missionary, whom I have a great deal of respect for; lays out the truth in this wonderful piece below:

The result of the recent U.S. election was not surprising to the Bible believer who knows the frightful spiritual condition of America, and we should not respond as unbelievers and heretics and nominal Christians respond to these confusing, frustrating times. Many are in despair, frantically trying to find a safe heaven for their wealth.

But we are not Christians in name only; we are born again by God’s Spirit and we walk in the light of God’s infallible Word. We know the times, or at least we should. We understand the underlying spiritual fundamentals of society. We are pilgrims. Our citizenship is in heaven, and we are exhorted to set our affection on things above, not on things on earth (Col. 3:1-4; Hebrews 11:13; 1 Peter 2:11).

The Bible shines brilliant light upon our situation in this present world, and gives us clear instructions about how to live and act in the face of the challenges of these times.

Let me say at the outset that I understand that politics and government are important, that politics and government affect our daily lives. I am not saying that we should have nothing to do with politics and that we should have no interest in what is happening at the political level.

I am simply arguing in this report that politics is not the answer to the moral, social, and economic ills our nations are facing, and we need to focus our attention on the real fundamental issues, and on God’s will, and on the things that can bring real change, and on things that have eternal value.

This is a very good piece and I highly recommend that you go read the rest of that; like I say on my “Free Gift” page —- if you are a true believe in Christ, then this world is not your home. You are simply here, until the Lord comes back for his Church. Wealth is wonderful, in fact, I kind of wish I had a little of it myself.  However, these things are all temporal. One day, when the Lord Jesus pours out his judgement on this earth, all of these material things that we hold so dear, are going to burn up. Just like they did in the days of Sodom and Gomorrah.

The important thing to remember, like David Brody said in his video, no matter who is in the White House; Jesus Christ is still on the throne and he is always in control. Remember that; this is what keeps me from worrying. God is still in control, not matter what.

Amen.

Erick Erickson tells it exactly like it is.

I have said the same thing here for the last few days. This is not a time to retreat, or compromise. This is the time to stand and keep on standing!

I believe this quote from the Holy Bible is much needed in the context of this blog posting. I am sure, or at least I would hope that Erick would agree with this:

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel, For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak. — (Ephesians 6:10-20 King James Version)

We must stand and fight; or we shall all die separately and alone.

Something else, we must keep that flag in the air, at all times. This video will explain, what I mean:

Keep Standing, everyone and keep that flag up!

WOW: Someone in Russia speaks the truth about America

This comes via John McTernan.

I searched, because I wanted to be sure the content is real, and sure enough, it is.

The article is at Russia’s Pravda. It is too good to quote, you really have to read it all for yourself.

If anyone would know about the evils of big Government, it would be them; the Russians.

Wow…Just Wow. We had a chance and we blew it. 🙁

Some Christians

It seems that not all places that hang the so-called “Christian” banner are such.

I have in the past been a member of Christian Forums, which used to be owned by a Christian doctor, and was a respectable place, at one time. Anyhow, the place was sold to some guy who is into the “go along to get along” mentality and, it shows there too.

I show up there, after not being on that forum in years. I make my presence known and I get treated to, “your site sucks!” and “it’s a sin to be a nationalist!”

I respond back to the criticism with my trademark snark and what happens? I get banned.

This right here, is why I quit going to Church altogether. Because of the self-righteous BS that goes on in the Church world today. If that is what Christianity is about today, then I’ll stay away from them.

As I said in the title: some Christians. 🙄

Update: I went back and checked, I was supposedly banned for Spam. Which is idiotic, I never spammed that forum, I was banned for my politics.
