Stuff like this right here and why I and other people begin to want to tune the election out. Governor Romney, his wife and Paul Ryan release their tax records, to satisfy the liberal elite class; who are mostly rich also — and the Liberal media, who are also rich. What happens? They use the tax returns to prove how much of an evil rich white man that Governor Romney and Paul Ryan happen to be.
Here’s the release:
In advance of the posting of these new documents, I wanted to provide some top-line details.
Regarding the newly-filed 2011 Tax Return:
In 2011, the Romneys paid $1,935,708 in taxes on $13,696,951 in mostly investment income.
The Romneys’ effective tax rate for 2011 was 14.1%.
The Romneys donated $4,020,772 to charity in 2011, amounting to nearly 30% of their income.
The Romneys claimed a deduction for $2.25 million of those charitable contributions.
The Romneys’ generous charitable donations in 2011 would have significantly reduced their tax obligation for the year. The Romneys thus limited their deduction of charitable contributions to conform to the Governor’s statement in August, based upon the January estimate of income, that he paid at least 13% in income taxes in each of the last 10 years.
As with the 2010 tax return, the 2011 tax return will appear as four separate documents. It includes Governor and Mrs. Romney’s Form 1040 as well as three underlying Massachusetts trusts detailing the sources of their income. Those are The W. Mitt Romney Blind Trust, The Ann D. Romney Blind Trust, and The Romney Family Trust.
The investments within the trusts are managed on a blind basis by me, the trustee. I have sole responsibility for making, holding and disposing of the investments.
Regarding the PWC letter covering the Romneys’ tax filings over 20 years, from 1990 – 2009:
In each year during the entire 20-year period, the Romneys owed both state and federal income taxes.
Over the entire 20-year period, the average annual effective federal tax rate was 20.20%.
Over the entire 20-year period, the lowest annual effective federal personal tax rate was 13.66%.
Over the entire 20-year period, the Romneys gave to charity an average of 13.45% of their adjusted gross income.
Over the entire 20-year period, the total federal and state taxes owed plus the total charitable donations deducted represented 38.49% of total AGI.
You see, I believe that Mitt Romney earned his wealth; fair and square, just like the elite liberal class, and like the elite liberal media in this Country. So, what is it to anyone at all, how much money Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan have in their bank accounts or in anything else? It simply will be used to feed a narrative that Mitt Romney is a evil, out of touch, rich, white man, who does not care about the middle class or the poor. (or black people)
It is politics at its worst; and it is why I tend to ignore stories during the election season.
Here’s the roundup; some are smart people and some are Democrats: The Atlantic Online, CNN, ABCNEWS, Salon, Washington Wire, Michelle Malkin, The Daily Beast, Election 2012, Taking Note, Hot Air, his vorpal sword, Hit & Run, Forbes, Little Green Footballs, No More Mister Nice Blog, Capital New York, New York Magazine, Gawker, The New Republic, The Right Scoop, Union-News, Business Insider, GayPatriot, Outside the Beltway, The PJ Tatler, Politicker, Weasel Zippers, Mother Jones, The Raw Story, The New Civil Rights Movement, Guardian, Mashable!, Mediaite,First Read, Alan Colmes’ Liberaland, Weekly Standard, Towleroad News #gay, Daily Kos, US Politics,Jammie Wearing Fools, National Review, FT Alphaville, The Lonely Conservative and USA Today — Via Memeorandum
But this here, was not a very bright move.
Whining is never a good move in politics. Just ask Rick Santorum.
I’ll still vote for Romney. But, this was not a good move.
Alright, time to go George Patton on these idiots. But first the story:
8:42 p.m. | Updated SALT LAKE CITY – Mitt Romney’s traveling press secretary walked to the back of the candidate’s plane midflight on Tuesday and teasingly asked a pair of journalists in an exit row if they were “willing and able to assist in case of an emergency.”
Under the circumstances, it was hard to tell whether it was a question or a request.
A palpably gloomy and openly frustrated mood has begun to creep into Mr. Romney’s campaign for president. Well practiced in the art of lurching from public relations crisis to public relations crisis, his team seemed to reach its limit as it digested a ubiquitous set of video clips that showed their boss candidly describing nearly half of the country’s population as government-dependent “victims,” and saying that he would “kick the ball down the road” on the biggest foreign policy challenge of the past few decades, the Palestinian-Israeli peace process.
Grim-faced aides acknowledged that it was an unusually dark moment, made worse by the self-inflicted, seemingly avoidable nature of the wound. In low-volume, out-of-the-way conversations, a few of them are now wondering whether victory is still possible and whether they are entering McCain-Palin ticket territory.
It may prove a fleeting anxiety: national polls show the race remains close, even though Mr. Romney trails in some key swing states.
Still, a flustered adviser, describing the mood, said that the campaign was turning into a vulgar, unprintable phrase.

Okay now; Gentleman, your attention please. Now, listen. You did not think that this election was going to be handed to you on some sort of golden platter did you? Nothing is won, without some sort of a fight. The Democrats are just not going to let you walk all over them and hand the election to you. Oh heck no….. They are going to do everything in their power to hold on to that office of President. It is the only thing they have left.
I give you the words, of General Patton:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9b5g1avyCSA&hd=1
Gentlemen of the campaign to elect Governor Mitt Romney to President of the United States — this is war, it is war for the soul of America. This is no place, for sidewalk sissies, for pussies who are scared to fight for America. While you are not fighting against the Japanese or Nazi’s. You are fighting against those, who want to change the face of America around the world. As Americans, we cannot allow this to happen. We have a mission and it is about damned time, that you fools who are being paid to put Governor Romney in the White House, to start earning your money that you are paid.
It is at the point, where the Romney campaign is at “do or die.” This is no place to start giving up, this is the stage where we start fighting like hell. The other side knows this and is now really starting to fight. We know who our friends are and it is not the establishment. Therefore, we must fight this battle ourselves. We cannot allow the other side to define us; if we do we will lose this battle and I mean badly. We must fight with what we have; and that is the facts. The truth is on our side and we can win this; if we fight this battle properly.
The media, outside of maybe Fox News Channel and other smaller Conservative outlets — is not our friend and we should not try to pretend otherwise. They are not reliable, they are not to be trusted, and they should only told and given; what they really need to know. The Blogging world is, for the most part, against us. Even some blogs, that call themselves Conservative; are not on our side at all. They too, should be treated with suspicion and distance should be kept from them.
So, in closing: To the staff of the Mitt Romney campaign, I give this request: If you are not in this battle win and I mean win big — get out now, please. The last thing we need, are people that are not interested in winning the war against the progressive liberal left. The last thing we need, are people that will fold like a deck of cards in the face of the liberal elite, and the liberal controlled media.
Gentleman, this is war and if you are not in it, to win it — then leave and let those who want to win, work for that campaign. We have too much at stake here in this election and losing, is just not an option.
God Bless America.
Update: Blogs4Mitt Links in. Thanks Rusty!
I noticed this myself, that the so-called controversial video that Mother Jones released, when they finally released the whole thing; was missing a bit of it.
The people over Breitbart.com observe:
There is no way to know, without the missing footage, exactly what Romney said. On Monday evening, Romney called for a complete video of his remarks to be released.
That now turns out to be impossible, either because Romney’s remarks were never recorded in full (as Mother Jones now claims), or because some of his remarks–perhaps mitigating some of the controversial effect of his statements–were selectively edited out of the tape by Mother Jones or its chain of sources (including former President Jimmy Carter’s grandson).
Earlier on Tuesday, new media pioneer James O’Keefe pointed out the hypocrisy of the mainstream media in accepting, without question, a snippet of a video recording that aimed to portray a Republican in a bad light, while conservatives are still doubted even after providing full video or audio, as O’Keefe did with his famous ACORN tapes.
Whether Romney is right or wrong about the “47 percent” of Americans he says have become dependent on government–he stood by his May remarks on Monday evening–he may have been taken out of context.
Mother Jones has failed a basic test and broken its promise to its readers and the public. There is now reason to doubt that it provided Romney’s full remarks–not just the context, but the remarks themselves. And there is new reason to suspect manipulation.
Corn promised the complete version of Romney’s remarks. Instead, he provided a version that is missing a large portion of video at the critical moment.
Mother Jones’s entire story now deserves to be treated with suspicion, if not contempt.
via BreitBart.com: Selective Edit? Mother Jones Admits Romney Tape Missing ‘One to Two Minutes’.
Quite true. Another thing too; we need to stop letting the left write the narrative in this election. This is nothing more than an attempt to steal Romney’s narrative and turn him into someone that he is not and that is an out of touch, aloof, rich Republican. Which is a bunch of bunk. The man has money; yes he does, and you know what? He worked for every last dime of it. Just like you and I do; just like I did, when I was working.
So, we need to fight back against this “John Kerry”ing of Mitt Romney. It is not fair, it is slime-ball politics and we can defend him from it. Also too, people like David Frum, Scott Walker and Bill Kristol can just quite frankly go to hell. They are not Conservatives, they are not on our side. They are nothing more than establishment Republicans; and big Government Conservatives who are more interested in furthering their own egos, than they are interested in saving this Country from disaster.
We are in the battle for the soul of America; we lost the last battle, because of stupidity on our side. We cannot afford to lose this one and you establishment people are either with us or against us. Pick your sides, now.

Here we go again, a follow-up to the earlier nothing-burger that the liberals seem to believe will destroy Mitt Romney. Here comes another nothing-burger.
Via liberal rag Mother Jones:
On the Middle East Conflict:
Quote:
I’m torn by two perspectives in this regard. One is the one which I’ve had for some time, which is that the Palestinians have no interest whatsoever in establishing peace, and that the pathway to peace is almost unthinkable to accomplish. Now why do I say that? Some might say, well, let’s let the Palestinians have the West Bank, and have security, and set up a separate nation for the Palestinians. And then come a couple of thorny questions. And I don’t have a map here to look at the geography, but the border between Israel and the West Bank is obviously right there, right next to Tel Aviv, which is the financial capital, the industrial capital of Israel, the center of Israel. It’s—what the border would be? Maybe seven miles from Tel Aviv to what would be the West Bank…The other side of the West Bank, the other side of what would be this new Palestinian state would either be Syria at one point, or Jordan. And of course the Iranians would want to do through the West Bank exactly what they did through Lebanon, what they did near Gaza. Which is that the Iranians would want to bring missiles and armament into the West Bank and potentially threaten Israel. So Israel of course would have to say, “That can’t happen. We’ve got to keep the Iranians from bringing weaponry into the West Bank.” Well, that means that—who? The Israelis are going to patrol the border between Jordan, Syria, and this new Palestinian nation? Well, the Palestinians would say, “Uh, no way! We’re an independent country. You can’t, you know, guard our border with other Arab nations.” And now how about the airport? How about flying into this Palestinian nation? Are we gonna allow military aircraft to come in and weaponry to come in? And if not, who’s going to keep it from coming in? Well, the Israelis. Well, the Palestinians are gonna say, “We’re not an independent nation if Israel is able to come in and tell us what can land in our airport.” These are problems—these are very hard to solve, all right? And I look at the Palestinians not wanting to see peace anyway, for political purposes, committed to the destruction and elimination of Israel, and these thorny issues, and I say, “There’s just no way.” And so what you do is you say, “You move things along the best way you can.” You hope for some degree of stability, but you recognize that this is going to remain an unsolved problem. We live with that in China and Taiwan. All right, we have a potentially volatile situation but we sort of live with it, and we kick the ball down the field and hope that ultimately, somehow, something will happen and resolve it. We don’t go to war to try and resolve it imminently. On the other hand, I got a call from a former secretary of state. I won’t mention which one it was, but this individual said to me, you know, I think there’s a prospect for a settlement between the Palestinians and the Israelis after the Palestinian elections. I said, “Really?” And, you know, his answer was, “Yes, I think there’s some prospect.” And I didn’t delve into it.
He is speaking the truth here. The Palestinians do NOT want a two-State solution. They want Israel pushed into the sea. They have said this a thousand times. Besides that, that land is Israel’s land, it says that in the Bible and that should be the end of the discussion; as for as this writer is concerned.
On Iraq and Nukes:
Quote:
If I were Iran, if I were Iran—a crazed fanatic, I’d say let’s get a little fissile material to Hezbollah, have them carry it to Chicago or some other place, and then if anything goes wrong, or America starts acting up, we’ll just say, “Guess what? Unless you stand down, why, we’re going to let off a dirty bomb.” I mean this is where we have—where America could be held up and blackmailed by Iran, by the mullahs, by crazy people. So we really don’t have any option but to keep Iran from having a nuclear weapon.
This is a classic foreign policy position that President himself also supports. In the case of Iran, it is totally warranted.
The president’s foreign policy, in my opinion, is formed in part by a perception he has that his magnetism, and his charm, and his persuasiveness is so compelling that he can sit down with people like Putin and Chávez and Ahmadinejad, and that they’ll find that we’re such wonderful people that they’ll go on with us, and they’ll stop doing bad things. And it’s an extraordinarily naive perception.
Again, this is true; the recent events have proven that many times over.
Once again, Mother Jones has proven itself incapable of bringing any sort of “real” dirt out on Governor Romney. The only thing that they have; is the Governor speaking honestly about President Obama, his foreign policy and Israel. Now it seems that Mother Jones is now focusing on the private life of the person that hosted the fundraiser. This very thing, ought to show you what it is, that we are dealing with here.
It is called desperation.
I still say that it is a nothing-burger, but here is Governor Mitt Romney explaining himself:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UwptutZ4jPA
Update: Here’s Romney’s Presser on the subject.
If it were not for the fact that this story was so darned funny; it would actually be pretty sad.
Mother Jones the crypt keeper of all things liberal, comes up with some really super secret video of Mitt Romney telling the absolute truth about the Obama voting people.
Here are the videos:
On Obama voters:
On Treating Obama gingerly, because he does not want to lose the independent voter:
On his consultants:
On the fact that most people couldn’t give a rip about politics; that they care about bread and butter issues:
On Obama and Wall Street; and if Mitt Romney wins, Wall Street will improve:
In this idiotic article, the author makes a false claim:
(Note: Obama did not promise his policies would keep unemployment under 8 percent, and 50 percent of college graduates are not unemployed.)
Well, um, actually —- Via Washington Examiner:
Mother Jones reporter David Corn claims the line about Obama promising to get unemployment under eight percent is not true.
Corn is wrong: Two of Obama’s economic advisers released a report in January 2009 arguing that the economic stimulus bill would have unemployment under 6 percent by now.
Also too The Astute Bloggers reminds us of the following:
From the Economic Collapse Blog:
The following are 16 statistics which show that the number of Americans dependent on the government is at an all-time high….
#1 According to the Census Bureau, 49 percent of all Americans live in a home that gets direct monetary benefits from the federal government. Back in 1983, less than a third of all Americans lived in a home that received direct monetary benefits from the federal government.
#2 The amount of money that the federal government gives directly to Americans has increased by 32 percent since Barack Obama entered the White House.
#3 The number of Americans receiving Social Security disability benefits has increased by 10 percent since Barack Obama first took office.
#4 Back in 1990, the federal government accounted for 32 percent of all health care spending in America. Today, that figure is up to 45 percent and it is projected to surpass 50 percent very shortly.
#5 The number of Americans on food stamps recently hit a new all-time high. It has increased by 3 million since this time last year and by more than 14 million since Barack Obama first entered the White House.
#6 Today, one out of every seven Americans is on food stamps and one out of every four American children is on food stamps. This is unprecedented in American history.
#7 In 2010, 42 percent of all single mothers in the United States were on food stamps.
#8 Back in 1980, government transfer payments accounted for just 11.7% of all income. In 2010, government transfer payments accounted for 18.4% of all income, which was a new all-time high.
#9 By the end of 2011, approximately 55 million Americans received a total of approximately 727 billion dollars in Social Security benefits. As the retirement crisis becomes much worse, that dollar figure is projected to absolutely skyrocket.
#10 According to the Congressional Budget Office, the Social Security system paid out more in benefits than it received in payroll taxes in 2010. That was not supposed to happen until at least 2016.
#11 Back in 1965, only one out of every 50 Americans was on Medicaid. Today, one out of every 6 Americans is on Medicaid, and things are about to get a whole lot worse. It is being projected that Obamacare will add 16 million more Americans to the Medicaid rolls.
#12 The U.S. government now says that the Medicare trust fund will run out five years faster than previously anticipated.
#13 The total cost of just three federal government programs – the Department of Defense, Social Security and Medicare – exceeded the total amount of taxes brought in during fiscal 2010by 10 billion dollars.
#14 It is being projected that entitlement spending by the federal government will nearly double by the year 2050.
#15 Right now, spending by the federal government accounts for about 24 percent of GDP. Back in 2001, it accounted for just 18 percent.
#16 When you total it all up, American households are now receiving more money directly from the federal government than they are paying to the government in taxes.
So, in other words, Romney told the truth about the left and now they are having a collective (Something they do well, collectivism!) heart attack about it. Two words lefties: Oh well. Truth hurts don’t it?
