Just a bit of follow up; last night I noted that I posted over at DailyKos.
Well, to be quite honest with you all; I now regret that little adventure in stupidity. š
I happen to go back and check the comments and I noticed the bile that was directed at me, in the comments section over there. Those people are as bad, if not worse, then some of the people at FreeRepublic or HotAir.com!
I assure you, I learned my lesson; again. š I had forgotten just how horrible those people really are; towards anyone of any stripe that happens to disagree with their narrow-minded vision of the World. I was also well reminded of the reasons why I simply threw up my hands and walked away from the Democratic Party —- for good.
I can tell you this; I needed that reminder — badly.
Now before anyone says it; I am not baiting those people at all! That was an honest attempt, my myself, to inject anĀ alternative view, from a Conservative, to those people. The problem is, that those people over at that site, are living in an alternative universe or, at best, anĀ alternativeĀ reality from the one that you and I live in!
The following from Cool Hand Luke from 1967 springs to mind:
CaptainĀ :Ā “What we’ve got here is failure to communicate”
CaptainĀ : “Some men you just can’t reach. So you get what we had here last week, which is the way he wants it… well, he gets it. I don’t like it any more than you men.”

The reminder was a good one, indeed.
I will say this; getting my writings out to the masses is good for me. I love doing that — However, I am not intoĀ masochism at all. In other words, charging into a hall of unfriendly people towards me and saying “here I am!” is not my bag. I may be many things, but stupid is not one of them. I won’t be posting anything politically related there again. I assure you of that.
I leave you with this here. Politics now; is worse than it was, when President Bush was in office. At least then, people were at least civil to one another. Now, it’s all hate everyone that disagrees you, all the time. The right hates the left and left is just ate up with hatred of the right. It is a sad thing to watch. I dread to see what it is going to be like, when the left looses this election.
I guess I will just stay over here in my corner and leave the crazies to themselves. š
