Supreme Court makes a good decision for Black Alabama voters

I think this was a good thing for black voters.

The Story:

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Supreme Court on Thursday issued a surprising 5-4 ruling in favor of Black voters in a congressional redistricting case from Alabama, with two conservative justices joining liberals in rejecting a Republican-led effort to weaken a landmark voting rights law.

Chief Justice John Roberts and Justice Brett Kavanaugh joined with the court’s liberals in affirming a lower-court ruling that found a likely violation of the Voting Rights Act in an Alabama congressional map with one majority Black seat out of seven congressional districts in a state where more than one in four residents is Black. The state now will have to draw a new map for next year’s elections.

The decision was closely watched for its potential effect on control of the closely divided U.S. House of Representatives. Because of the ruling, Republican-led legislatures in Alabama and Louisiana will have to redraw maps so that they could increase Black representation.

As it has been said many times in the past, Politics — be it Liberal or Conservative, are an absolute reflection of our society as a whole. That being said, since the election of Donald Trump and his nuanced signaling of approval, towards the more hateful in our society; who are in fact, hateful toward Blacks, Jews and even other said minorities, there has been a uptick in more red states, such as in this case, Alabama — toward excluding those said people from the political process.

None of this is new, Alabama has a quite troubled history with racism and horrific treatment of its black citizens, dating back before the civil war. In fact, The United States of America fought a bloody civil war to end the horrific practice of slavery in Alabama and in other, now red states.  Now, we have Alabama Government which was and still is a big supporter of Donald Trump, who attempted to limit the black vote. This should be an embarrassment to the Republican Party; However, with the current leadership of the Republican Party, it is now. In fact, it is a source of pride, most likely.

The good part is, where in the past Blacks could not fight back against the systematic racial oppression. Now they can, and they did indeed, bring their case to the Supreme Court of the United States and they won, and won big.  Good for them, they deserve to be able to participate in the electoral process, just as much as the white man.

Now for those of you, who was see this posting and think that I am some sort leftist; I say to you — hogwash. I am full aware of the left’s nonsense. What with the foolish pursuit of the climate change agenda, and blaming of everything on it, from racism to smoke from Canada’s wildfires — is ridiculously stupid.  Not to mention the horrific critical race theory, which has its origins in the halls of the Frankfort School. I am also quite aware of the sodomite lifestyle and its proponents, which wish to indoctrinate our children with its satanic doctrines. I am fully aware of all of this.

However, it does not excuse the Republican Party’s and as a whole, the Conservative movements, satanic embrace of White Supremacy and the foolish approval of Conspiracy Theories, that has prevailed since the election of Donald J. Trump. Many years ago, people like William F. Buckley fought long and hard to run these sort of people out of the Republican Party and out of the Conservative Movement, for it they were labeled Neo-Conservatives, pied piper of the establishment and worse.

I am no William Buckley, But I am a Christian man, and I will speak out again this sort of nonsense, as long as I am able.

Dear Alt-Righters, Stop cloaking your hate in the Christian flag please.

I saw something that seriously hacked me off, it was in this:

Hannah Gais / Splinter: Leaked Emails Show How White Nationalists Have Infiltrated Conservative Media:

The quote:

Bennett elaborated on this strategy in an email from April 14, 2016. In response to a Commentary article on white nationalist efforts to take over conservative media, he argued that the present political situation worked in the movement’s favor. For one, he wrote, there was no way for establishment conservatives to act as a “gatekeeper” against them. “No one owns the commons of conservatism, and so it’s extremely vulnerable to outside subversion,” he observed. “This subversion would not have been able to occur without the Internet. Praise be.”

That “Praise be” is short for Praise be to the Lord. It is Christian saying, and to see these bigots use this, totally disgusts me.

Therefore, I have an open message to the “Alt-Right”, stop using Christian terms intertwined with your;…. and let’s just be real, it is really….White Supremacist, Anti-Semitic drivel that you all love to spill.

Your beliefs are not Christian, there are not Christ-like and I truly believe that if you actually made it to Heaven, Jesus would truly say, “Depart from me, I never knew you.” (Matthew 7:21-23)

Good: CNN Fires Marc Lamont Hill

Good, about damned time that progressive jerk got what was coming to him.

The Story:

CNN severed ties with contributor Marc Lamont Hill on Thursday, following comments the university professor made about Israel and Palestine in a speech at the United Nations.

“Marc Lamont Hill is no longer under contract with CNN,” a CNN spokesperson told Mediaite.

Hill urged countries to boycott Israel in a speech on Wednesday, calling for a “free Palestine from the river to the sea.” His comments sparked an immediate backlash, with many noting “from the river to the sea” is a phrase used by Hamas and other anti-Israel terror groups. The phrase implies the replacement of Israel by a Palestine stretching from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea — though Hill disputes this characterization of his comments.

“We have an opportunity to not just offer solidarity in words but to commit to political action, grass-roots action, local action and international action that will give us what justice requires and that is a free Palestine from the river to the sea,” Hill said in his speech.

His comments were condemned as anti-Semitic by the National Council of Young Israel and Anti-Defamation League.

As anyone, who reads this blog, knows; that I am not fan-boy of the modern state of Israel. However, this guy takes things to a whole new level. He wants Israel wiped off the map and that don’t fly in this day and age of the professionally offended.

Good Riddance to bad rubbish.

The Cult of Trump: Alt-Righter goes on shooting spree in PA Synagogue

First it was pipe bombs, now it is this:

Via KDKA-TV in PA:]

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Eight people have been killed and a number of others injured after a shooting situation at The Tree of Life Synagogue in Squirrel Hill on Saturday.

KDKA’s Meghan Schiller reports that a suspect, a heavy-set white male with a beard, has surrendered. The SWAT team had been talking with the suspect, and he was crawling and injured. It is unclear the extent of his injuries.

KDKA sources confirm to Andy Sheehan that the suspect is 48-year-old Robert Bowers. It is believed that he acted alone.

According to Pittsburgh Public Safety Director Wendell Hissrich, at least six other people were injured, including four police officers. The officers’ injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. The other two victims were last listed in critical and serious condition.

Police sources tell KDKA’s Andy Sheehan the gunman walked into the building and yelled, “All Jews must die.” Sheehan’s sources confirmed that eight people were dead. Others had been shot, but the extent of their injuries in unknown at this time.

When officers arrived, the gunman reportedly shot at them, forcing officers to use their vehicles as a shield.

The shooting happened during weekly Shabbat services at the conservative Jewish Synagogue, the building was full of people for a Saturday service and police say they’ve received several calls from people barricaded inside the Synagogue.

Here’s what you need to know:

1. Bowers Was Armed With an AR-15 ‘Style’ Rifle & Was Shot by Police

NBC News’ Tom Winter reports that Bowers was armed with an AR-15 ‘style’ rifle, in addition to multiple handguns. KDKA has described Bowers as being a “heavy-set white male with a beard.” When Bowers emerged from a standoff with police, he was crawling due to injuries. The station also reported that Bowers is alleged to have opened fire on responding officers.

According to NBC News, Bowers was shot at least once by police during the exchange of gunfire at the synagogue. He was taken to the hospital and is undergoing treatment, NBC News reports.

The former president of the synagogue, Michael Eisenberg, told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette that the shooting took place on the third floor of the building. Eisenberg said that typically there would be a children’s class on that floor but had been canceled on the day of the attack.

Police did not find any explosive devices inside the building.

Pittsburgh Public Safety Director Wendell Hissrich grew emotional during a press briefing Saturday, saying, “It’s a very horrific crime scene. One of the worst that I’ve seen and I’ve been on some plane crashes. It’s very bad.”

2. Bowers Said on Gab That He Did Not Vote for Donald Trump Because Trump Has Allowed Jewish People in His Administration & Among His Supporters

Robert Bowers Gab Page

Gab/Robert Bowers

Bowers was an active poster on an alternative version of Twitter, Gab, which is popular with white supremacists, white nationalists, members of alt-right groups and others who have been kicked off of mainstream social media sites. Bowers went by the moniker One Dingo, @onedingo, on the site. In his bio section, Bowers wrote, “jews are the children of satan. (john 8:44) — —- the lord jesus christ is come in the flesh.” Shortly after the shooting at the Tree of Life Congregation, Bowers’ Gab account was deleted.

Robert Bowers Donald Trump

In a post a few days before the shooting, Bowers wrote, “Trump is a globalist, not a nationalist. There is no #MAGA as long as there is a k*** infestation. #Qanon is here to get patriots that were against martial law in the 90’s to be ones begging for it now to drain muh swamp. But go ahead and keep saying you are #Winning.” That same day, Bowers wrote, “amazing amount of division on gab today. glas the overwhelming jew problem has been solved so we can now fight with each other.” In another message, Bowers wrote of Trump, “For the record, I did not vote for him nor have I owned, worn or even touched a maga hat.”

Robert Bowers Gab page

On his Gab page, Bowers regularly reposted anti-immigrant sentiment as well as memes that preached holocaust denial.

Gab issued a statement after the shooting saying, “Gab took swift and proactive action to contact law enforcement immediately. We first backed up all user data from the account and then proceeded to suspend the account. We then contacted the FBI and made them aware of this account and the user data in our possession.”

You can read more about Bowers’ social media posts here or at the link below:

3. A Witness Described the Shooting as Being Like a ‘Loud Crash in the Hallway’

Stephen Weiss, a resident of the Squirrel Hill neighborhood who was present inside the synagogue, told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette that the shooting “sounded like a loud crash in the hallway.” Weiss said that he ran through the building hearing what sounded like an “automatic weapon.” He joined a group sheltering in place in the basement.

There are three congregations in the synagogue, the basement was where the New Life congregation was having their Shabbat service, reports KDKA.

4. A Former President of the Synagogue Said that the Department of Homeland Security Have Run Safety Drills at Tree of Life

The synagogue’s former president Michael Eisenberg said that while he was president, he had the Department of Homeland Security come to Tree of Life. Eisenberg told the Post Gazette the agency ran safety drills. Eisenberg added, “We had to step it up as far as security, although there had been no threats. The building isn’t designed for today as far as security purposes.” Eisenberg went on to tell CBS Pittsburgh that a maintenance worker who escaped was able to do so because of the DHS’ work. Eisenberg said, “He was able to get out of the building… because the exit doors were working well. I just can’t tell you how thankful I am just to do that one task that Homeland Security told us to do.”

According to the synagogue’s website, Shabbat morning services were taking place inside as reports about a shooting emerged. The website says that the congregation was founded “more than 150 years ago” and is a “conservative Jewish congregation” but “is also progressive and relevant to the way we live today.” The rabbi is Rabbi Hazzan Jeffrey Myers who has been with the congregation since August 2017. Cox Media Group’s Dorey Scheimer tweeted about the congregation, “I am so sick. Squirrel Hill is the Jewish neighborhood in Pittsburgh. Tree of Life is the largest conservative synagogue. Saturday morning is the busiest/most attended service.”

5. The Head of the ADL Has Described the Victims of the Shooting as Being ‘Targeted’

The CEO of the Anti-Defamation League tweeted his condolences to the victims of the shooting. Jonathan Greenblatt wrote that the victims of the attack were “targeted” because of their religion. Greenblatt tweeted, “We are devastated. Jews targeted on Shabbat morning at synagogue, a holy place of worship, is unconscionable. Our hearts break for the victims, their families, and the entire Jewish community.” He added, “We are actively engaged with law enforcement to understand the extent of this anti-Semitic attack and we will work together with communities across the country to push back on prejudice wherever it appears.”

Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf has described the shooting as an “absolute tragedy.” Gov. Wolf added, “We must all pray and hope for no more loss of life. But we have been saying ‘this one is too many’ for too long. Dangerous weapons are putting citizens in harm’s way.”

Looks like the Cult of Trump is finally reaping the seeds it’s sown. God Help Us.

A perfect example of why I keep my distance from 9/11 Truthers, Haters and such

I make no bones about it; I am not a fan of Wilsonian foreign policy and neoconservatives — because it is what brought us the Iraq War and its ultimate failure. However, these people, as outlined in the blog posting below, go well beyond, what I, as a blogger, am against. The entire idea of the wholesale hatred of Jews is just not my cup of tea. As a Born-Again Christian of 35 years, I am not a person who hates people, because of who they are.

Check out : A Deranged Anti-Semite Accuses Me of Libel | Power Line

This is what these people are, natural born hatemongers. They combine hatred with conspiracy theories to buttress their hatred. It is a self-supporting system; a sort of infinite feedback loop, so to speak. This sort of a thing, my friend, is not my cup of tea.

This is why you will not see me constantly linking to Alex Jones or his websites. Because Alex Jones likes to traffic in conspiracy and I simply do not delve into that sort of stuff. This is what has bothered me about the Conservative media as of late. They, in some aspects, have hit the fifth rail, when it comes to the media and whom they offer up as factual reporting, and more importantly, reliable sources for information.

Now, to those of you, who would point out, that I do actually have Alex Jones links in my sidebar and to other such sites — I realize that I do. I also have a very large and obvious disclaimer, letting my readers now, that I do not endorse the stuff and that the reader’s mileage might vary as to the truthfulness as to what is written there as well.

As a blogger, and as a citizen journalist, as a political pundit of the internet sort, I like to deal with true, reported, and proven facts and then, give my take on it. As a Christian of 35 years, I happen to know who is behind all of the evil things that are happening here in America; and that is the prince of darkness himself: Satan. It matters to me not, who is being used as the instrument of that evil. I feel, that being wrapped up into whom the person or persons that is influenced by Satan to do these evil things simply is a distraction to the truth and the complete broad picture.

Therefore, this is why I keep a safe distance away from people of this sort. Do I believe that cultural Marxism is a real thing? Yes, I do. I believe that it is a tool of Satan himself, to destroy the Christian foundations that this Country was founded. It matters to me not, whom the people were, that were behind it; where they were from or their ethnicity. This, to me, is trivial.

What does matter to me is that there is a cultural war in this Country. There are truly evil people, who are, for the most part, a part of the political left in this Country; who wish to change the very foundation of which this Country was founded. They wish to stamp out the Christian morals and very fabric that this Nation was founded upon. They wish to see Churches, especially Fundamentalist Churches, closed and their Pastor’s jailed, because of hate speech; a creation of the Marxist left.

These people are the ones that created political correctness, as not only a term, but also a tool of control. They use this tool against those of whom they disagree and they wish to silence those who dare to dissent to their worldviews. This has really become apparent under the administration of Barack Obama; this is not a kooky conspiracy theory, this is factual truth.

This is why I created this blog and why I decided that I wanted to continue blogging, even after the Bush administration.  Because once I figured out that the Democratic Party was nothing more than a giant smoke screen and basically a party that is based upon a false premise, that somehow or another, everyone is entitled to everything and that capitalism is looked down upon and that people, like myself, who hold to Christian morals and compass, are somehow a threat. I left that side of the political fence and decided to join with those who defend that sort of a thing and this Country as a whole.

Not that I believe the conservatives or Republicans are perfect, far from it. However, I believe that defending the Republic and defending the values, of which this Country was founded is a noble cause and it is one that I do fight for here on this blog.

However, fighting for that sort of a cause does not entail, not for me anyway, embracing this sort of hatred, or peddling these sorts of conspiracy theories. It is foolishness and it misses the broader picture.

Sorry for the length of this, but, I really wanted to make this clear. I fight here on this blog for America and its values, not against any one person, ethnic group, or religious group.

Oof: Trump retweets neo-Nazi’s insult of Jeb Bush

How not to win an election part 1:

Donald Trump on Friday retweeted a message from a Twitter user with the handle @WhiteGenocideTM.The tweet features a photoshopped picture of Jeb Bush holding a “vote for Trump” sign outside of Trump Tower. The user’s profile has a black banner photo with red lettering that says “Get the f— out of my country.” The name attached to the profile is Donald Trumpovitz and the location is “Jewmerica,” with a link to a page promoting a pro-Adolf Hitler documentary. The profile picture is the cover of the October 1961 issue “The National Police Gazette,” featuring a picture of George Lincoln Rockwell, the founder of the American Nazi Party, thumbing his nose, and the subhead “The Man who wants to be Hitler.”Trump’s campaign did not immediately respond to a request for comment. – Source: Trump retweets neo-Nazi’s insult of Jeb Bush

Trump will pay for that one and I mean dearly. Conservative politics 101 says no Jewish hatred at all. I am not saying that Trump might just be finished. But, if he doesn’t take a huge nosedive in the polls and have to do some serious apologizing; he is going to have a big problem on his hands. Not to mention that the left and the neocon right are going to have a field day with this one.

Another really good reason why I simply do not agree with Ron Paul

I might agree with Ron Paul on economics. I might agree with Ron Paul on wars and Wilsonian foreign policy. This below negates all of that, because what you see below is not a legitimate criticism of those things, what this is below is simply blind hatred of Jews and Israel in general.

I might not approve of Zionism, as it is, in this Christian separatists opinion, an unholy alliance between Christians and Jews; but I will never support this bile, which is below at the link.

Go read: The Ron Paul Institute for Peace and Prosperity : ‘We Are With You…Here Are The Missiles’.

The truth is that Israel is defending itself from a Islamic terrorist organization, whose charter calls for the destruction of Israel. An organization who started this latest conflict, by kidnapping three Israeli kids, killing them and then burning their bodies. Then, when Israel enacted a blockade of Gaza; they began aimlessly firing rockets into Israel. Finally, Israel decided enough was enough, and invaded that strip of land to rid Gaza of these terrorists. If the United States of America wants to help Israel defend itself from Muslim terrorists, by sending them missiles, then by-golly let them do it. Frankly, America’s prosperity in the past has come from being a friend of Israel.

Even I as a paleoconservative, think that what Israel is doing, is proper, right and moral. Furthermore, I question the motives, patriotism, Christianity and sanity of those who disagree with belief. I may have a beef with some of the political players here in America, who happen to be Jewish. But, my support of Israel and what it is doing in Gaza is without measure and frankly; I hope they bomb the strip of land to a pile of dirt and rubble.

Do not misunderstand me here; I do not wish to see American boots on the ground in the Gaza strip, nor in Israel. They do not need our help. But, they do need our support to fight the battle and I say let them have it.

Enough is enough! It is time that we Conservative Christians begin to call out those, like The Ron Paul Institute for Peace and Prosperity; which is nothing more than a clearing house for anti-Jewish and Anti-Israel bile. If this think-tank was a legit group that put out papers or articles against Wilsonian foreign policy, it would not be a problem. However, this think-tank is nothing more than an Jew-bashing group of thugs, whose purpose is to issue blood libels against Israel and the Jews. They have proven that time and again with postings like the one above.

Bottom Line: It’s time to get real folks, and call these haters out for what they truly are; and expose them for what they are. That is not a neoconservative thing; that is an American thing, and it is about time we did it.

An FYI on the Beast and Don Fallon

I happen to be reading over at Breitbart.com and I happened to notice an article about Politico.com hiring a writer from that magazine the beast.

Well, I happen to have a bit of experience with that magazine called the Beast, and I happen to know a little something about the owner. If you’ll please click here you can read all about it.

Now some of you would probably say “what about you?” I have been more abundantly clear that my issues with the Zionism movement are strictly religious and political. I am NOT a Jew hater and Paul Fallon and his crew from The Beast are definitely Jew haters.

I just thought I’d let everyone know about that. And I find it very shocking that Politico would even hire someone like that.

Video: This is why I do not trust Al-Jazeera TV

American version of it or not. I simply do not trust it and this here is why. This comes via Memri TV:

Some of you might say, “But, aren’t you a Buchananite type?” Yes, indeed I am. Which simply means that I am not a fan of Wilsonian Foreign Policy and that’s all it means. If Al-Jazeera TV is putting this sort of garbage on it’s Arab speaking network, it has zero business being in the United States of America. This is nothing more than Anti-Jewish propaganda and it furthers the blood libels that the terrorists thrive on and use to commit acts of carnage.

If our President were actually worth a tinkers damn, he would tell Al-Jazeera TV, “You either do something about that, or you can pack your little network up and go back to mecca, where you truly belong.” But, because we have a President who kowtows down to Arabs and their religion, instead of defending Jewish Americans, you have this network Al-Jazeera TV here to brainwash Americans into believe that 9/11 was somehow justified.

…and that, my friends, is a great American tragedy.
