Wow, no wonder The Washington Times was taken off of Barack Obama’s plane.
The Washington Times, in one of it’s commentary sections really let Barack Obama have it, These are questions that The Washington Times felt that John McCain should have asked Barack Obama:
- With the announcement that you raised an additional $150 million in September alone, you’re on pace to raise and spend something on the order of $650 million during the campaign. Together with your Big Labor allies and liberal 527s spending perhaps $350 million more on top of that on your behalf, we’re looking at a staggering $1 billion. Furthermore, it has been reported you’re out-advertising the McCain campaign 4-to-1 around the country. Aren’t you essentially trying to buy the presidency? When was it put up for sale to the highest bidder?
- — My campaign has been criticized by the liberal media in recent weeks for some angry words about you from some of my backers, which I’ve disavowed repeatedly. By contrast, why have you not vigorously condemned the remarks of your supporters, like those of actress Sandra Bernhard, who warned Sarah Palin to stay out of Manhattan lest she be gang-raped by Miss Bernhard’s “black brothers,” or Rep. Charlie Rangel, who said Mrs. Palin was “disabled”; or South Carolina Democratic Party Chairwoman Carol Fowler, who said Mrs. Palin’s chief qualification for having been selected as my running mate was that she hadn’t had an abortion; and most recently Rep. John Lewis of Georgia who likened me to one-time segregationist George Wallace?
- — You have spoken of your intention of raising taxes on the “rich” and making them pay their “fair share.” Can you put some hard numbers on that? What constitutes “rich” in your view, and what do you consider a “fair share,” given that, according to October 2007 Internal Revenue Service figures, the top 1 percent of taxpayers already pay 39.4 percent of all income taxes, the top 5 percent pay nearly 60 percent and the top 25 percent pay 86 percent? Is that not “fair share” enough, and if not, what would be “fair,” in your view?
- — You and your vice-presidential running mate, Sen. Joe Biden, have vowed repeatedly to “end” the war in Iraq. Why is the verb always “end” and never “win”?
- — You have sought to make an issue of my supposedly voting with President Bush 90 percent of the time, hoping to link me to a president whose popularity rating is under 30 percent. But isn’t it also true that you have voted 95 percent of the time with a Democratic Congress whose popularity rating is even lower than Mr. Bush’s, in some polls as low as 9 percent. So isn’t that 90 percent thing a red herring?
- — During the Democratic primaries, you refused to participate in a debate on the Fox News Channel, supposedly because the network isn’t “fair and balanced,” even though the event was to be co-sponsored by the Congressional Black Caucus. If you are unable to stand up to Brit Hume and Chris Wallace, why should we believe that as president you would be able to stand up to Vladimir Putin, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Kim Jong-il or Hugo Chavez?
- — You have longstanding ties to ACORN, a left-wing group that is being investigated on voter-registration fraud charges in at least a dozen states, including in Nevada, where ACORN employees submitted voter-registration forms for the entire Dallas Cowboys starting lineup. Will you sever all ties to ACORN, call on Congress to revoke its millions of dollars in federal funding and urge the attorney general to pursue a RICO (Racketeer-Influenced Corruption Organization Act) investigation of ACORN?
- — You have received the backing of the teachers unions and have called for more federal spending on public education. So, if you are elected president, will you send your daughters, Sasha and Malia, to the D.C. public schools, as President Carter did with Amy? Would it not be hypocritical – in essence saying, “Do as I say, not as I do” – to do otherwise?
- — In your acceptance speech at the Democratic Convention, you said we should be our “brother’s keeper.” Yet, what have you done in that regard to help your own half-brother, George Hussein Obama, who lives in a hut in the slums of Nairobi, Kenya, on $1 a month?
- — You say you are against gay marriage, so why have you come out against a ballot referendum in California that would overrule the actions of four judges there that overturned the expressed will of 61 percent of the people of California in a 2000 referendum and imposed gay marriage by judicial fiat?
- — Some of your supporters have tried to make a health issue of the fact I’ve been treated for melanoma, even though I’ve been pronounced cancer-free. Yet you have not released more than a summary of your medical records. Will you release your full medical records before the election. If not, why not? Don’t the people have a right to know?
While all of these questions are legitimate, It seems to me, that the times is a bit on the aggressive side. I also noticed that this did not get printed till after their reporters were safely off the plane. Smart move, one would suppose. While on their face, the questions asked here are proper, but it comes off, at least to this writer, as a bad case of sour grapes.
At the risk of being accused of being a race baiter myself. I honestly have to ask the The Washington Times, if they would ask such questions of this Democratic Candidate, if he were a white man? I really wonder.
I think it would be good for the Conservative media, at the point, to just get over it, and accept the fact that the Democrats are going to win this election and start planning for 2012.
Oh yeah, but I’m a liberal, if I say stuff like that! 🙄
As a Rule I do not watch Saturday Night Live. That sort of humor is just not my bag. But I do enjoy watching some of the politically related stuff.
Anyhow, John McCain was on there, here’s the video:
The quip about the McCain fine gold was rather snort worthy.
In this clip the lines about “Reverse Maverick” and “Double Maverick” were a hoot too.
Overall, it was rather funny, him and Tina Fey was rather interesting…
What was even more hilarious was the video of the send up of Keith Olbermann! I loved that, and from what Keith said on show, so did he. Which brings the question, when someone does of a send up of your program, and you love it, what kind of person does that make you? 😀
Here’s the video:
The camera changes and the drama are a perfect imitation! Richard Wolf and the other person were done very well. The Special Comment about Keith’s Cat was perfect, the head tilting and screaming was very funny.
Although the paper throwing was done much out of the proper order. The hair color was spot on. Overall, it’s much worth the view.
My…My…. The more they come, the more silly they get…. Do people even bother to look at the sign on the door?

Whois : http://ws.arin.net/cgi-bin/whois.pl?queryinput=67.83.184.7Your question: “What’s the immigration status on this guy?” will be answered shortly when Obama’s facist, hate-filled, investigative team will turn on the switch “SEARCH & DESTROY” Tito the builder. This man spoke the truth and you hypocritical liberals can’t take it. If Tito was praising “Obama the racist,” not one word of immigration would have ever surfaced on your slimy, sleazy, blog. Obama’s going down and it’s killing you. The sleeping giant: hard working Americans are waking up and they are ousting this socialst, Marxist, infanticide loving, racist! Yea Baby!
Wow… Did he even read the sign on the door that says “Libertarian Conservative Views“?
Did he even bother to read my “About Me” page?
Me, A Liberal? I highly do not think so. 🙄
As far as Obama goes, Early polling shows that Obama is the lead according to a poll done by CBS, of all people. 54 percent to 41 percent is a pretty wide margin. However, I could honestly care less, I am voting for Bob Barr. As I cannot vote either of these career Beltway politicians.
Slimy, Sleazy Blog? Oh My…. Well, I never! I’m a slimy person, because I dare to bring up the subject of illegal immigration? Wow, that’s a change.
If McCain wins hey, all the better, but I’m not one to live an a fantasy world either so….
Eh, Must have been a Fox News Viewer or something… 🙄
Maybe this will put this rather idiotic rumor to bed.
This via KITV:
HONOLULU — The state’s Department of Health director on Friday released a statement verifying the legitimacy of Sen. Barack Obama birth certificate.
The state has received multiple requests for a copy of Obama’s birth certificate. State law does not allow officials to release the birth certificate of a person to someone outside of the family.
There were rumors that Obama was born in Kenya, where his father is from. The Constitution requires that the president be a natural born citizen of the U.S.
While many sites and news organizations have released copies provided by the Obama campaign, the rumors have persisted.
“There have been numerous requests for Sen. Barack Hussein Obama’s official birth certificate. State law (Hawai‘i Revised Statutes §338-18) prohibits the release of a certified birth certificate to persons who do not have a tangible interest in the vital record,” DOH Director Dr. Chiyome Fukino said.
Fukino said she and the registrar of vital statistics, Alvin Onaka, have personally verified that the health department holds Obama’s original birth certificate.
“Therefore, I as Director of Health for the State of Hawai‘i, along with the Registrar of Vital Statistics who has statutory authority to oversee and maintain these type of vital records, have personally seen and verified that the Hawai‘i State Department of Health has Sen. Obama’s original birth certificate on record in accordance with state policies and procedures,” Fukino said.
Fukino said that no state official, including Gov. Linda Lingle, ever instructed that Obama’s certificate be handled differently from any other.
Some Obama critics claim he was not born in the United States.
Multiple lawsuits were filed to try and force Obama to provide proof of citizenship. Earlier Friday, a southwest Ohio magistrate rejected a challenge to Obama’s U.S. citizenship. Judges in Seattle and Philadelphia recently dismissed similar suits.
This story, Which has been disproven by Factcheck.org and WorldNetDaily both, still continues to exist. As long as there are people, like Alex Jones who continue to believe and spread this rumor, It will exist.
The real funny thing is, this rumor and the one about Obama being a Muslim was started not other than the White Nationalist Website, Stormfront.Org. I remember seeing the first posting saying as much back two years ago. I never thought it would ever go this far. So, one can safely say that this entire rumor is entrenched in Racism.
Of course, the G.O.P will never admit to the racism, but that’s to be expected of that Party. 😀
Perhaps now, that Tin foil hat crowd will finally fine something or someone else to rumor monger about. (Except perhaps for me! 😮 )
(H/T to Protein Wisdom’s Pub)
I hope like hell that this isn’t true. 😮
This story comes from the Jerusalem News Wire:
The Israeli news site Israel Insider reported exclusively Thursday that a seismic event that occurred in Iran October 25 may have been a massive underground nuclear bomb test and not an earthquake.
Israel Insider cited an Iranian nuclear scientist who claims to be working in uranium enrichment for the project.
According to the news site, the “quake” was the second one in “a series” – the first having occurred just four days ago, and less than 5 km from the epicenter of last weekend’s tremor.
If nuclear tests are taking place then the area appears to have been carefully chosen to disguise the fact. It is reportedly exposed to significant seismic activity but a recent spike there reportedly deviates from historical trends.
Israeli leaders across the board have vowed that Iran will never be allowed to get its hands on a nuclear weapon. Analysts believe the Jewish state will not wait much longer before it strikes.
The Iranians have defiantly insisted that they will pursue nukes even as they openly declare their support for the destruction of Israel.
Like I said above, I hope like the dickens that this just is not true and that it is some sort of B.S. Propaganda or something. I will monitor the situation and see what I can come up with.
Stay Tuned….
Update: So far the only other place, that this is popping up, is on another Pro-Israel website called Israel National News. At this point, I think it would be best to just take this with a grain of salt, because it could be just anti-Iranian propaganda being pushed to start a war or just to raise suspicions or tensions. So, at this point I’d advise any Blogger, with any common sense, to show some restraint.

For all things that I have criticized, mocked and made snarky comments regarding Sarah Palin. This is not one of them.
This story comes from, of all places The L.A. Times, which could be considered a hit piece, because of the piece trying to say that Palin is too emotional. However, here is the quote:
Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin arrived at the Boyer Orchards here Friday afternoon, entering a sweet-smelling wooden barn full of crates of apples. "This is gorgeous," Palin said, greeting workers.
The visit was designed to highlight small businesses and their special needs and how a John McCain administration would help them.
And the Republican vice presidential candidate did talk business and taxes with Matthew and Bruce Boyer, whose family has owned and worked this 300-acre orchard for 51 years now.
But it was after their business chat that Palin had some special moments with a special fan, Amber Brown. As Palin left the barn, an excited crowd outside was mid-verse singing "God Bless America," but roared at the sight of Palin.
Brown, who is 23 and from New Paris, held a poster that said: “I have Down’s syndrome and I’m voting for you. I’m a fighter too!”
Palin saw Brown, headed straight for her and they embraced. “I love that poster!" said the mother of a Down syndrome baby (Click on Read more line below to see photo of Palin with her infant son, Trig).
"You’re a fighter and you’re beautiful,” Palin told Brown. The pair posed for pictures and hugged again.
Palin then continued down the rope line, paying special attention to the babies and children, at one point crouching down beside four little girls.
Once Palin finished, she returned to Brown and embraced her again. Palin’s husband, Todd, also came by and chatted with Brown and her family.

As someone who grew up with a bad case of A.D.H.D. which, quite frankly, made my damn life a living hell. I can relate to this. I made offhand snarky comment in a chat room about this lady’s situation, because I felt she might be exploiting it for political purposes. But perhaps I misjudged her a bit.
I will expect that the Communist Liberal Keith Olbermann will make some sort of smart assed comment about this on his program Monday, which would not surprise me at all. As Sarah Palin said in the Video, this isn’t about politics, this is about kids who are born with disabilities that they cannot control or had any say in choosing. Whenever I see a child with turrets or polio, I get misty eyed, because I don’t have it nearly as bad as some. My little inability to focus without proper meds is a drop in the bucket, compared to some of the disabilities that some are born with.
It also hits home for another reason, my aunt; my mom’s sister has a disability; she is developmentally disabled. The old word was, well, Mentally Retarded. (it sounds so damn cruel to call her that.) She will never be able to take care of herself. My mom has vowed to take care of her, as long as she is able. However, it pains me to see her sometimes struggle to handle her. She’s not getting any younger. I sometimes fear to think what might happen to my aunt, if my Mom passes away. I try and not dwell on it. It frightens me to.
So, accept this little sobering piece, just as a mea culpa. I get this one too.

You might have noticed that the Blog went away for a little bit earlier.
No, Liberals did not hack into the Blog.
Yours truly attempted to download and install a beta version of WordPress. The install went fine. it was when I opened my Blog in a browser, I got the dreaded 500 error, which is an internal server error! Yikes! 😮 😯
I think it had something to do with a file in my host directory being not writable or something.
Luckily for me, I did a FULL system back up of my current install. Whew! I didn’t lose anything, at all, this time.
Anyhow, I think I’ll do what everyone else does, wait till the damn general release comes out, THEN I’ll play with it! 🙄
Anyone got a dunce cap, that I can barrow? Anyone?
Update: Oy, I even tried a second time. I dunno what the hell is wrong. I tried asking over in the Wp-Testers and best they could do is suggest commenting out some code in the new version. So, I said, “Fuck it!” and ended up doing a reinstall from Fantasico and upgraded back to 2.6.3. Needless, to say, I don’t agree well with Beta versions. Arrrgh! It’s enough to make me want to Punch a damn hippie! 😡 Needless to say, no more filly fartin’ around with the blog! Back to blogging! 😀
I say “obligatory”, because I say it is quite silly that the Conservative Blogosphere is having a hissy fit over that fact that his Aunt was living here.
Obama says that he did not know, and you know, I’m inclined to believe the guy. You just cannot keep track of everything your damn family does.
Hell, I have a cousin who’s a career criminal, am I responsible for his actions? Hell no!
It just seems to me, that the Conservative Blogosphere has been on the hunt to; dare I say the word?; Lynch Barack Obama for having the gall, the outright audacity, the very nerve; to run for President of The United States of America. For, dare I say it?; venturing into White Man’s territory.
I think the that the George W. Bush Administration would do well to just leave well enough alone. Because the last thing that the Republican Party needs is to be known as the Party that deported an African-American Presidential Candidate’s aunt from the United States. That would indeed be the nail in the coffin of that political party. As it is now, the Republican Party has been tarred by the irresponsibilty of some of it’s more fringe elements. The last thing they need right now is something like this on the minds of everyone voting come November 4.
….and that’s my take on it.

Maybe You Should Not Vote
By: J.J. Jackson
A common myth, generally perpetrated by those that succeed when they convince the ignorant to act on their ignorance, is that everyone in American that can vote, because they are of legal age, should. Like blind lemmings following a hypnotic siren, they hope to drive hordes of Americans (living and dead) to the polls at least one time each on Election Day. But I am here to tell you that just because you can vote, you should not do so out of ignorance.
I know that statement contradicts common “wisdom,” but is it any different than telling you that you should not buy a new car without understanding exactly what you are buying or purchasing a new home without having it inspected for flaws first? Would you make any major purchase without educating yourself? If not, then why would you go into the voting booth on November 4th and essentially “purchase” the next Chief Executive of the United States without similar due diligence? So, in that spirit, I have decided to run through a series of points that if you are ignorant on you should reconsider if you are really ready to cast your vote.
For example:
If you do not understand that the second amendment is a guarantee of an individual’s right to keep and bear arms, specifically enumerated as such over and over by the founding fathers, and you actually support a candidate that has worked to usurp such a basic right … maybe you should not vote.
If you have forgotten that John McCain authored and helped to pass the single greatest infringement of the first amendment (Campaign Finance Reform) in recent history, a law that effectively tells citizens when and how they can speak up on politics … maybe you should not vote.
On a similar note, if you actually think that infringing on the first amendment is a good thing and agreed with John McCain … maybe you should not vote.
If you do not understand that the progressive income tax was a major platform of Karl Marx’s communist agenda and support a candidate who favors increasing taxes on the rich while bribing other Americans to vote for him or her with the promise of no income taxes for themselves … maybe you should not vote.
If you have forgotten that the issue of amnesty for illegal aliens who violated legitimate United States laws and are, by definition, criminals is still on the table and support a candidate that may push for such a thing … maybe you should not vote.
If you actually think, perhaps because you were educated in the public schools, that the “general Welfare” clause of our Constitution grants the federal government a blank check to spend tax dollars on any benefit they can dream up and believe this despite the overwhelming majority of the founding fathers being on record stating the exact opposite … maybe you should not vote.
On a similar note, if you are living off the government largess and collecting a paycheck from the government under some program not authorized by the Constitution but implemented unconstitutionally to require the work of another to be confiscated to line your pockets … maybe you should not vote.
Let me go even further on this point by saying boldly, if you seriously think that federal spending can ever be reigned in without taking the axe to the welfare programs (Social Security, Welfare, Medicare, Medicaid, Food Stamps, etc.) which make up well over 60% of expenditures … maybe you should not vote.
If you cannot understand the simple concept that in pushing for higher taxes on those producing goods and services you consume, they will simply recoup those losses by raising the cost of the goods and services and get that money right back from you … maybe you should not vote.
If you claim to support the troops but choose instead to support a candidate that looks down his nose at their efforts and who is rejected by them in poll after poll of our servicemen and women (that would be Barack Obama in case you don’t know) … maybe you should not vote.
If you think, for some deluded reason, that an ideology of from each according to his ability, to each according to his work or needs with a central bureaucracy determining the value of your work and what your needs actually are will work if we give it another try, despite having never having worked ever or at any time in the past … maybe you should not vote.
Pursing that concept even further, if you honestly think that an ideology that taxes the “haves” and gives to the “have nots” actually works despite clear examples in the former Soviet Union, NAZI Germany, Mussolini’s Italy, Mao’s China, and with modern day North Korea, Mexico, Venezuela and Cuba which show how such ideas lead to poverty and misery … maybe you should not vote.
If you believe, in that little empty cranium of yours, that under President Bush’s tax cuts, the middle class did not get tax relief because some union news letter told you so … maybe you should not vote.
If you would rather live in some other country other than America and see that country as freer with a better basis for government of, for and by the people with inalienable rights for all guaranteed … maybe you should not vote. And perhaps you should spend the time you save by not voting to pack your bags so that you can move there.
If, even though you think Congress is not doing a good job, you are going to vote back into Congress your Representatives and Senator because you seriously believe that the problem is all the other Congressmen and women but don’t know how your elected officials have voted and are not able to back up such a statement … maybe you should not vote.
If you think that the President has more control over the economy than Congress, which passes the laws that affect the economy … maybe you should not vote.
If you think that the Constitution can be changed on a whim and by judicial fiat, congressional law or presidential mandate because you have never actually read the document, or at least read it recently … maybe you should not vote.
If you think that the Republican Party is a racist organization and are going to vote based on that despite the fact that the party that fought against slavery, gave slaves the right to vote in the southern states before the Democrats regained power and stripped such rights and forget that the GOP stood up in overwhelming numbers for the rights of minorities throughout history … maybe you should not vote.
If you did not know that one of the major candidates in this year’s election has won endorsements from high ranking officials with the Communist Party USA and are too dim witted to even have a guess as to which one it may be … maybe you should not vote.
If you think that it is more important to have a President with a certain skin color without much concern for his politics and will vote for him because of his skin color … maybe you should not vote.
By the same token, if you are going to vote against a particular candidate because of his skin color (black or white) … maybe you should not vote.
And lastly, if you cannot be bothered to plan ahead and use the brain God gave you to find a way to get your butt to the polls one day out of the year (excluding members of the military and others with actual emergencies who should be accommodated) … maybe you should not vote.
Now, I honestly do not expect many of the citizens of this country who fall into one or more of the above categories to take my advice. There are a lot of arrogant people out there who, even when the truth is laid before them, will not take notice of it. That truth which I have tried to impart to you is that a vote cast in ignorance makes you a tool of those seeking power.
A Republic survives when the public, educated on the issues and united in the pursuit of liberty, votes. It fails and dies when disparate groups with no regards for the rights of others, the truth, or respect for the firewalls put up to protect the rights of all, vote in droves with nothing on their mind other than themselves and how much they can get the government to take from someone else to give to them.
