About that Stupid Ron Paul – Obama Poll

I usually do not write about Polls; because most of them are just ridiculous.

But this one here, and the one about Bush and Obama are worth noting.

I will say this; if the G.O.P. runs Ron Paul as their candidate, they will be trounced in the general election. Because nobody and I mean, nobody is going to vote for Ron Paul, I mean looking at his controversial past ought to be proof enough. The funny part is; when confronted, the Paul-bots like to say that Ron Paul did not write those newsletters. My response to that is; who in the hell, in their right mind, would lend their name to a newsletter, which would be authored by people who have such feelings about Blacks, Jews and so forth? Someone who obviously agrees with such idiotic mentality. Sorry Paulites, but your idiotic attempt to distance Ron Paul from his own damned newsletters, is not flying with this guy. I am just not that stupid. I will not even get into the 2008 campaign monies donated by the founders of Stormfront and former Klansman David Duke and Don Black, that was never returned.

I realize that this poll is a hypothetical one; but if I were Jewish, I would be very worried. If Paul was elected and I were Jewish, I would be looking into real estate in Israel. Because if that bastard got in as President, it would only be a matter of time before the Jewish persecution started.  However, being the realist that I am, I know better; because there is just no way that the G.O.P. senior leadership will allow a person like Ron Paul to run for President.

Edited because some Paul-bots do not understand the concept of snark.

Funny Quote of the Day

Lollar, a general manager at Cintas, is unabashed when it comes to addressing accusations of racism by the tea party movement’s opponents. “Can you believe that I have been accused of being a racist?” he asked the college Republicans. “Somebody once called me a racist. I looked at them and said, ‘My wife’s black — I can’t be!’” he joked to the crowd at a tea party rally in March.

Living Proof that Liberals hate our Military.

It figures:

They should have done this to the first jackass who tried to pull this kind of stunt. Maybe a decade of hard labor will nip this stupidity in the bud, although what will probably happen is the wingnuts will be mortified our Kenyan preznit is prosecuting American HEROES.

So says former-conservative turncoat and now liberal traitor; who is also a Blogger,  John Cole.

Why?

All because some member of our Great Military decided that Obama was unqualified to be President of United States.

It just shows you just how tolerate of dissent your liberals really are. 🙄

Which is why I will never, ever vote Democrat again.

Jumping in Pools Interviews Me

You can read that here.

I rambled on with the first question. But it was multifaceted question and I wanted to answer it all.

Thanks to Matt for the interview. 😀

Quotable Quote:

I will say this, I originally started blogging with idea that neither of the Parties, Republican or Democratic are moral or political absolutes.  Both parties have their issues.  Which is why I did not vote Republican in 2008, I voted for Bob Barr.

Justice: Maryland Cops who beat John McKenna will be FIRED!

First the Video:

The Story:

Police in Maryland are investigating three officers involved in a beating last month at the University of Maryland’s College Park campus. One officer has already been suspended.

The incident was caught on tape, and it apparently shows University of Maryland student John McKenna being attacked by Prince George's County police unprovoked during a celebration after a basketball game. The beating occurred on March 3 after Maryland’s basketball team beat Duke University.

Attorney Christopher Griffiths released video of the incident on Monday after charges against McKenna, 21, were dropped. A police officer involved in the incident had claimed McKenna assaulted them.

McKenna was among the 28 people arrested by Prince George’s County police during the civil unrest that followed the game.

County prosecutors are investigating the incident and police have launched an internal affairs investigation.

Police Chief Roberto Hylton says he saw the video and was outraged. He says one officer’s police powers have been suspended and two other officers will be suspended when they are identified

via Video of Student Beating Leads to Cop Suspension – The Early Show – CBS News.

One network says fired, the other says suspended; but I tend to think it is the latter. There is no defending those actions. Those PIGS, and that is what they are; attacked that kid unprovoked and then lied about it. They are getting just what should be coming to them. Well, I believe that criminal charges should be brought against them, and that might just happen.

As a Conservative, I believe in rule of law. What I do not believe in, is police brutality. 😡  This was a clear cut case of that; and for that these men will lose their jobs. As someone who’s cousin was shot dead by corrupt Detroit police officers in the 90’s, I feel that any sort of police brutality should be dealt with harshly and those responsible should be jailed themselves. Although, in this case, I highly doubt that will happen.

Do not misunderstand me here; there are times when the police have to use force of this sort. This was not one of those times.

Rick Moran hits the nail square on the head

I wrote that before the election in 2008. I still believe it despite the fact that national health insurance reform puts us on the road to socialized medicine, the unforeseen consequences of which could lead to the kinds of government control most feared by conservatives. But we’re not there yet – not by a long, long shot. And the slippery slopes on such a road, if recognized, can be avoided if conservatives keep their heads and fight against them.

Unfortunately, conservatives are not keeping their heads. Hysterical shouting and hand wringing about evil Obama may work this time around, as Crook points out, because the vast middle of the country is in a mood to punish the Democrats. But come 2012, someone on the right is going to have to come up with a rational, reasoned critique of Obama’s policies that the moderate righties and libertarians won’t think is the mouthings of some crazed paranoid inhabiting an alternate universe.

Otherwise, the GOP may find itself marginalized and on the outs for a long time to come.

Amen and Amen.

Heh: Congress passes a Healthcare Bill and Kicks themselves off their own Healthcare Insurance

Now before I quote this news article, imagine with me a cage full of little white mice. There’s about 100 or so of ’em in there. Now outside that cage is a big block of nice American cheese. Said mice spot said cheese and proceed to open said cage. Now the last mouse out, named Louie, who’s a bit of a fat ass drunk, accidentally bumps the cage’s door and it locks behind them. Well, the mice don’t seem to notice, all they see, is the cheese. Well, outside that cage also a huge cat, and a hungry one at that. 😯 😮 Panic. Keep this rather humorous thought in mind, while you read the following.

“It is unclear whether members of Congress and Congressional staff who are currently participating in F.E.H.B.P. may be able to retain this coverage,” the research service said in an 8,100-word memorandum.

And even if current members of Congress can stay in the popular program for federal employees, that option will probably not be available to newly elected lawmakers, the report says.

Moreover, it says, the strictures of the new law will apply to staff members who work in the personal office of a member of Congress. But they may or may not apply to people who work on the staff of Congressional committees and in “leadership offices” like those of the House speaker and the Democratic and Republican leaders and whips in the two chambers.

These seemingly technical questions will affect 535 members of Congress and thousands of Congressional employees. But the issue also has immense symbolic and political importance. Lawmakers of both parties have repeatedly said their goal is to provide all Americans with access to health insurance as good as what Congress has.

Congress must now decide what steps, if any, it can take to deal with the problem. It could try for a legislative fix, or it could adopt internal policies to minimize any disruptions.

In its painstaking analysis of the new law, the research service says the impact on Congress itself and the intent of Congress are difficult to ascertain.

The law apparently bars members of Congress from the federal employees health program, on the assumption that lawmakers should join many of their constituents in getting coverage through new state-based markets known as insurance exchanges.

But the research service found that this provision was written in an imprecise, confusing way, so it is not clear when it takes effect.

The new exchanges do not have to be in operation until 2014. But because of a possible “drafting error,” the report says, Congress did not specify an effective date for the section excluding lawmakers from the existing program.

Under well-established canons of statutory interpretation, the report said, “a law takes effect on the date of its enactment” unless Congress clearly specifies otherwise. And Congress did not specify any other effective date for this part of the health care law. The law was enacted when President Obama signed it three weeks ago.

In addition, the report says, Congress did not designate anyone to resolve these “ambiguities” or to help arrange health insurance for members of Congress in the future.

“This omission, whether intentional or inadvertent, raises questions regarding interpretation and implementation that cannot be definitively resolved by the Congressional Research Service,” the report says. “The statute does not appear to be self-executing, but rather seems to require an administrating or implementing authority that is not specifically provided for by the statutory text.”

The White House said last month that Mr. Obama would voluntarily participate in the health insurance exchange, though the law does not require him or other administration officials to do so. His participation as president may depend on his getting re-elected in 2012.

Representative Jason Chaffetz, Republican of Utah, said lawmakers were in the same boat as many Americans, trying to figure out what the new law meant for them.

“If members of Congress cannot explain how it’s going to work for them and their staff, how will they explain it to the rest of America?” Mr. Chaffetz asked in an interview.

Go on over there and read that; I’ve never seen so much rat panic in my life. Thus proving that you should always READ THE FARKING BILL! 🙄

SEIU President to Resign

Hmmmmm:

Service Employees International Union President Andrew Stern, one of America’s most prominent labor leaders, is set to resign, according to a member of the union’s board and another SEIU official.

The President of an SEIU local based in Seattle, Diane Sosne, broke the news to her staffers at 11:35 this morning, local time.

“Last night I received confirmation that Andy Stern is resigning as President of SEIU. He has not yet made a public announcement; we will share the details as we become aware of them,” Sosne wrote in an email obtained by POLITICO.

Sosne offered no explanation for the move, but another SEIU official speculated that Stern had finally tired of the draining job.

via SEIU officials: Stern to resign – Ben Smith – POLITICO.com.

Of course, this is big news in the Blogosphere. Especially amongst Conservatives. Michelle Malkin has a nice piece on Stern.

Memeorandum has the normal round up.

Some on the right are speculating that Stern might be headed to the White House. I highly doubt this would be the case. The conflict of interest would be glaringly obvious and I highly doubt that Obama is just that dumb. Stern is just doing what most socialist liberals are good for. Inflict massive damage to the system and then run like hell, before the fallout. Elitist liberals have been doing this stuff for years. So have some Republicans. It is quite common for people like this guy here; to parachute out just before the melt down.

This could be a sign of any things. We will have to wait and see; as I just do not like playing the guessing game.

What was my problem yesterday?

Two Things: Lack of Coffee and a severely farked up body clock.

…and my body’s clock is still not quite right.

But anyhow, I woke up and saw all this crap and just decided that I was not in the mood.  Lack of caffeine tends to make a guy grouchy.

I ended up finally making me some coffee and around 11:00 P.M….. going to sleep. 🙄

Anyhow, I should be back in the swing of things today.

But I really wish people on our side of the aisle would stop handing people on the other side farking ammo already. 🙄
