Baptist Pastor Dennis Terry introducing Rick Santorum, tells liberals “Get out of America!”

I suppose you all might be expecting me to cheer this guy. Well, surprise! No, not this time. In fact, I even feel a bit sorry for Rick Santorum.

What am I talking about?

Phew! Grumpy old feller ain’t he? Well, he is a Baptist and he is old and he is from Louisiana.  I would tend to guess that this sort of thing is basically par for the course; at least with him anyhow. In other words, yeah, he is one of ours. 🙄

For the record, I do not believe for a minute that Rick Santorum believes any of that stuff that Dennis Terry was preaching from his bully pulpit. In fact, he said as much yesterday; over to you ABC NEWS:

MOLINE, Ill. – Rick Santorum told reporters Monday he did not agree with a controversial statement about non-Christians made by a Louisiana pastor at a church service Santorum attended Sunday in Greenwell Springs, La.

[…..]
After an event in Moline Monday evening, Santorum was asked repeatedly by reporters if he agreed with the pastor’s words.

“If the question is, do I agree with his statement that America shouldn’t do that? No, if he was speaking for himself he’s obviously allowed to believe what he wants to believe but, obviously I believe in freedom of religion and all religions are welcome and should be. I think I’ve made that pretty clear throughout my campaign that I believe very much in freedom of religion, and folks should be able to worship whoever they want to worship and bring their thoughts in the public square and have at it and give them the opportunity to make their faith claims, and make their claims to reason and any other claims. That’s what America’s all about. As far as I’m concerned they should be here and make their arguments the best they can,” said Santorum.

Santorum said he did not clap when the pastor made these comments.

“I didn’t clap when he said that. I do remember him saying that, I said, well, I wasn’t quite sure he was saying it for himself, I wasn’t quite listening to everything to be honest with you. But I wasn’t sure whether he was speaking for himself or speaking generally, but I didn’t clap when he said that because it’s not how I feel.”

Here is why I feel a bit sorry for Rick Santorum. Because quite frankly, there are times when these guys who are running for President, will find themselves in awful situations like these and to be quite honest with you; there is not much he can do about it. I mean, it would be totally disrespectful for Mr. Santorum to try and interrupt, or worse, get up and leave. Now, I am sure liberals would think he should have done that; but some things are just best left alone.

For the record, and this is for the Conservatives and Republicans who will actually read this; I do not fault this Pastor for what he believes. Pastor Dennis Terry is an old salt from the America that once was; and I do not think he should be punished for his remarks, no more than I would want a far-leftist liberal Democrat punished for he believes. Like Rick Santorum said, that is what makes America great, diversity of opinion and beliefs. If we all believed alike, this Country would be more boring than watching a Martha Stewart peep show.

I have been known to fault Rick Santorum on many things; one being his big Government Statist stupidity. But, this one here, I just cannot muster the outrage. I mean, it just is not his fault that Pastor Dennis Terry believes the way that he does.

The Lyrics: (H/T to Rap Genius)

[Hook]

I don’t, I don’t want no, Obama, Obama nation (abomination)

I’m not gonna, vote for your inauguration

Cause I don’t need your, Obama, Obama nation (abomination)

I’m not gonna

Limbaugh is a racist, Glenn Beck is a racist

Gaza strip was getting bombed, Obama didn’t say shit

[Verse 1 – M-1]

After you divorce yourself from the right wing

Propaganda campaign, it’s all simple and plain

America customed the game

Your president got an African name, now who you gone blame?

When they drop them bombs out of them planes

Using depleted uranium, babies looking like two headed aliens

Follow the money trail it leads to the criminal

Ain’t nothing subliminal to it, that’s how they do it

See they game they run, give a fuck if he’s cunning

Articulate and handsome, Afghanistan held for ransom

By the hand of this black man, neo-colonial puppet

White power with a black face, he said fuck it i’ll do it

A master of disguise, expert at telling lies

Then they gave him a Nobel Peace Price

Should of known he was trained in Chicago

Word to Chairmen Fred and Mark Clark

What they do in the dark will come out in the light

Like a WikiLeaks site

So I guess Nkrumah was right, who’s ready to fight?

Last stage of imperialism, I ain’t kiddin

In the immortal words of Marvin Gaye ‘This ain’t living’

[Verse 2 – Black The Ripper]

O.B.A.M.A

You ain’t falling everyone I see the games you play

You was V.I.P. at the B.I.C

And we know that’s code name for C.I.A

The same way your cameras are watching us we’re watching you

Think we’re easy to control you ain’t got a clue

Revolutions on the way, let’s see what your gonna do

You gonna send the troops? You gonna drop the nukes?

See it’s not where you’re from it’s where you’re at

He’s sitting in the White House so who cares if he’s black

And why’s there still soldiers out there in Iraq?

Natural resources ain’t yours, its theirs give it back!

You’re just another puppet but I’m not surprised

Look at Colin Powell and Condoleezza Rice

They didn’t change shit, house nigga’s fresh off the slave ship

You’ll all burn in hell even Michelle, Obama Nation

[Hook]

I don’t, I don’t want no, Obama, Obama nation (abomination)

I’m not gonna, vote for your inauguration

Cause I don’t need your, Obama, Obama nation (abomination)

I’m not gonna

Limbaugh was a racist, Glenn Beck is a racist

Gaza strip was getting bombed, Obama didn’t say shit

[Verse 3 – Lowkey]

Was the bigger threat from Osama or from Obama?

Military bases from Chagos to Okinawa

I say things that other rappers won’t say

Cause my mind never closed like Guantanamo Bay

Hope you didn’t build a statue or tattoo you arm

Cause the drones are still flying over Pashtunistan

Did he defend the war? No! He extended more

He even had the time to attempt a coup in Ecuador

Morales and Chavez, the state’s are on a hunt for ya

Military now stationed on bases in Columbia

Take a trip to the past and tell em I was right

Ask Ali Abunimah or Jeremiah Wright

Drones over Pakistan, Yemen and Libya

Is Obama the bomber getting ready for Syria?

First black president, the masses were hungry

But the same president just bombed an african country

I just wonder how long it will be, before this song and video disappear and the dudes who did it; are tossed in jail? I mean, because this a black President. Now, if it were Bush, they would say, “Oh, it’s art!” But Obama? I don’t think this will be around long at all.

No, President Barack Obama is not going to enact martial law

It is things like this here; that make me want to stop writing about politics. However, because I want try to stop mass PANIC! I will address this.

Now, about this order signed by the President on Friday.  It is a big nothing burger. It has been around since the 1950’s and has been updated ever since. So, no, Obama is not going to impose martial law or a police state.

But, as usual, the usual suspects starting ringing alarm bells, either motivated by a genuine concern for the Country or maybe because we have a black socialist President — or both.  Anyhow, they started hollering from the rooftops about this order. Now, let me say this; I am not calling everyone that wrote about this racists, okay? Admittedly, some of the writings are a bit paranoid. However, some of the actions of the President do give cause for everyone on the right to be on a hair trigger and a bit overly cautious.

People — Relax. The big-eared Democrat is doing something right for a change!  Protecting the Republic, which is what America truly is; which happens to be a part of what Barack Obama’s duties are, as President of the United States.  For this, he should be praised, not condemned. Again, more of that brain-stupidity that has invaded the Conservative movement and the Republican since 2008.

The MUST READ Blog postings on this are found at HotAir.com, Ace of Spades HQ and Legal Insurrection.

So, everyone chill out. Like Eugene Volokh said in his posting about this subject; if there was a power grab, it was made decades ago; most likely when President Obama was still riding his tricycle — and possibly long before that.

Just to be clear; I do not fault anyone, especially everyone on the right; for being watchful of the President, that is a good thing. However, in this cause, this is just routine Government stuff. Obama is just doing his job —- and for once, that is a good thing.

Others covering this nothing burger — with mixed results: Outside the Beltway, Wake up America, Hot Air, Weasel Zippers, Israpundit, Israel Matzav, Pirate’s Cove, Atlas Shrugs, The Volokh Conspiracy, Le·gal In·sur·rec· tion, The Lonely Conservative, iOwnTheWorld.com, protein wisdom

Also too, all the people above mean well; they just panicked over the language of the Executive Order.

The latest on Sandra Fluck

I have not really blogged on this much; the kudos goes to this blogger for his fishing out the story on Sandra Fluck’s connections in the progressive movement.

Now the Democrats are crying antisemitism. Where were they when Alan Dershowitz was pointing out to everyone that Media Matters for America was antisemitic? These same democrats are now whining about privacy. The same people who dug up Joe the plumbers private records and exposed them.

Difference is, Joe’s info was private; this info on Fluck was ALL public info. Besides all that, this stupid woman put herself out there as some sort of victim; when in fact she is a professional activist and she got exposed. Boo hoo, crap happens. Take two mydol’s and call me in the morning.

Again, I love it when the left gets exposed like this. The hypocrisy is stunning.

Meh

In case you have not noticed; I am just not feeling it about this blog right now. Politics is in the silly season and I don’t do silly.

I mean, when you have a Goldman Sachs guy quitting his job and bitching about it, a conservative stalker gets his camera smacked and whines about it; vets flipping out over a flag and other such stuff.

I just wonder, how many of those vets voted for Obama?

Anyhow, I’m just incredibly jaded right now. Also too, considering my Tip Jar has not been rattled in a long while, I just do not feel that motivated to write. I guess maybe it is because I do not go around crying, “Poor me! I’m broke, Oh Boo Hoo!” I mean, the closest thing I have come to even remotely begging is this here or this here; and I never asked for anything. Oh, sure, I have the request and the buttons at the bottom of each posting and in the sidebars. But you don’t see me begging for money. It’s low-class, this is why I do not do that. Because the way I see it, I am taken care of, I have a support system, of sorts. Extra Cash is nice, but I believe in earning it, by my writing. Not by posting lame ass, “Please help me!” postings. Nobody wants to hear your silly sob stories, really. 🙄

The only thing I have asked for, is prayer; once when I thought that my parents were getting a divorce and when me and my Mom came to blows over something now, that seems quite dumb. I just do not believe in this moronic public whining about one’s personal issues. I could sit here and writing about every little thing that happens around here and how much I hate living here. But, I don’t. It’s called having class.

What gets me, is these gullible people, who are supposedly Conservative, will toss their money to some idiot, who’s friends with an idiot Neo-Nazi, but I sit here, and actually could use some help and yet, because I dared to tell that Neo-Nazi Weasel blogger that I was not going be used as a pawn in a blog; and I am the asshole and the pariah. Lovely. 🙄

So, anyhow; yeah, I am a pariah, and I am jaded. I just find the whole thing rather boring. I stand on principle and I get ignored. Way it is, I guess.

I’ll write again, when I am in the mood; which right now, I am not. 😡

…and there are so many more, I would post them all. But this blog entry would go on for pages.

Anyhow, here’s the official news: (H/T The Detroit Free Press)

March 13,2012—Sonoma CA—Longtime Doobie Brothers drummer Mike Hossack passed away peacefully yesterday March 12 at his home in Dubois, Wyoming after a long battle with cancer he was 65.  Doobie Brothers manager Bruce Cohn made the announcement. [PHOTOS]

“Mike was a one-of-a kind guy and a long-time member of the Doobie Brothers,” remembers Cohn. “He was a fighter and fought the big battle with cancer and he was a close personal friend of mine and I speak for Mike’s family and the entire band when I say he will be greatly missed.”

The Doobie Brothers Tom Johnston remembered Hossack, “Mike has always been a part of my musical life and the life of the Doobie Brothers; from our earliest singles, like China Grove and Blackwater to our most recent single Brighter Day.   He was an incredible musician, a studio quality drummer.  The last few years, he was brave and determined to keep on playing in the face of ill health, and I will always admire him for that.  He was a terrific dad and family man, and we will all miss him.”

The Doobie’s Pat Simmons, who was a close friend of Hossack’s, said, “When my kids were little, they used to call him Big Mike, because to them he was such a big guy.  But to me and those who knew him, he had an even a bigger heart.  We were friends for 43 years and we shared some wonderful adventures together, times I will never forget.  Thanks for all those wonderful memories Mike, and all the great music. We love you.”

Michael Hossack was born in Paterson, New Jersey on October 17, 1946 (a real baby boomer). At age twelve Mike started playing drums in the Little Falls Cadets, a Boy Scout Drum and Bugle Corp. He credits his drum instructors, Joe Whelan (Little Falls Cadets), Bob Peterson (Our Lady of Lourdes Cadets), and George Tuttle (Fair Lawn Cadets) for teaching him the disciplines of playing with other drummers.

Thanks for the music Mike. Rest in peace. 🙁 😥

Prayers for the members and past members of The Doobie Brothers and The Hossack Family.
