I think I might have spooked him

I read with mild interest that someone who left a comment on my blog two days ago, blog went dark.

Many people are saying it was law enforcement related. Well, it could have bend that —- or it could have been related to this:

When Neil left his comment on my blog. I got his IP address. It trace-routed to Seattle, Washington. I emailed him a message with the titled “Seattle Washington eh?” and said in the message, “I hope your not planning on swatting me, like you did Patrick Frey.”

Maybe I spooked the guy or something. •shrug•

It just seems pretty odd that he disappeared after I did all that. Maybe he felt the walls closing in.

Detroit: Swirling the drain

Hey, um, America? Want to see what you will look like in four years? Look here:

Moody’s Investors Service downgraded Detroit’s bond rating today deeper into junk status, citing uncertainty after the repeal of Michigan’s emergency manager law and a rising risk of municipal bankruptcy or default in the next 12-24 months.

Moody’s said Detroit’s inability to enact reforms meant to stabilize its finances was complicated by uncertainty after state voters repealed Michigan’s emergency manager law, Public Act 4, on Nov. 6, weakening state oversight of the city’s finances.

The ratings firm noted Detroit’s “precariously narrow cash position,” with Mayor Dave Bing’s administration warning that it will have to put potentially thousands of city employees on furlough Jan. 1 to avoid running $5 million short on cash to meet payroll.

The city’s program management director, William (Kriss) Andrews, has said Detroit is not at risk of missing debt payments, and he believes the city will be able to manage the cash crisis with furloughs and other cuts yet unidentified.

Sad thing, but this is what happens, when progressives run a city into the ground.

Good deal. I wanted to make sure and return his little donation, seeing that he tossed me off of his little no traffic blog, for simply being a bit of a smart alleck. I won’t take money from fascists, ever.

Again, Thanks for the fish Bill, sorry it did not work out.

Nobody would have voted for him anyhow

I found this mildly amusing:

Were I to run for the Senate, it would be a terribly nasty campaign. It’d actually be really awesome, but it’d be really nasty. I have a seven year old, a soon to be four year old, and a wife who does not like being anywhere near a stage. I’m not putting my family through that when the best outcome would mean a sizable pay cut and being away from my kids and wife all the time huddled in a pit of vipers often surrounded by too many who viewed me as a useful instrument to their own advancement.

I appreciate all the support. I really do. In the past week I’ve learned who real friends are and are not. It has been eye opening. I had been all along very, very dismissive of running. But given the efforts of several and the financial pledges of support, I figured I should actually take the time to seriously and prayerfully consider it out of respect for those who asked and offered to help.

That is slander blogger Erick Erickson cutting and running from a Senate bid. The real translation of the above is this:

Because I am a complete schmuck, and a bit of an self-absorbed a-hole, nobody would vote for me anyhow. So, I am not going to waste my time and anyone else’s money. (Because I really do not have any of my own, which is why Eagle Publishing owns this site.) So, I will just continue being this overrated schmuck and partisan hack.

End of translation.

I am, as an American, ashamed of my Country

As you might have noticed when you came on to this blog that I have decided to forgo the “Yankee Doodle Dandy” look in favor of darkness and black; this darkening is for a reason.

I stand before you tonight, as a 40-year-old American that is very ashamed that I was even born in this God-forsaken Country. This is because of the two-party political system that has bankrupted this Country fiscally, spiritually, and morally to the point of no return.

Both of these political parties over the course of the past eleven years have essentially given a blank check to the office of the President of the United States of America to fight two wars — One, which was entirely justified after the attacks on September 11, 2001, and the other that has absolutely nothing to do with those attacks.

Both of these wars, combined with the spending of the current President has left us over sixteen trillion dollars in debt and rising by the minute. Now that the tab is coming due and it is time to act like adults and pay for those wars and the spending that both of these political parties have done over the course of the past eleven years —- neither of them are interested in being responsible adults and act in the best interest of the Country. They are however, rather interested in playing political brinksmanship and political jousting, while the Country is rushing headlong off a fiscal cliff.

It is enough to make this writer want to pack his bags, and catch the nearest plane to Switzerland and live there for the remainder of his life. I have always wanted to go there and visit. Because frankly, this Country is heading to hell and a hand basket in a big hurry, and nobody in Washington DC seems to give a care about it.

As great as it pains me to write this — I am horribly ashamed of my Country. America used to be a great Nation; we were a moral people, in the 1940’s before, during and after the war, most families were in Church every Sunday, we ate dinner around the table, families read the Bible and prayed together. We were a fiscally responsible people, we never spent more than we earned. A dollar was a hard thing to earn and people took the value of the dollar seriously.  Small business owners valued their customers and made sure they were happy.

Today, all of that is simply a trait of a foregone era, which left us years ago. America has become this arrogant monster, of whom its subjects believe that they are entitled to be taken care of, cradle to grave. American is also a cesspool of moral degradation; it comes in the form of television, music, movies and internet. Even the Republican Party scoffs at we Conservative Christians and those who us who believe in sound principles of the fiscal sort.

Furthermore, American no longer values the small business owner. Nowadays to get anything related to home improvement, groceries, and things of that sort; you have to go to some “Big Box Mart” store, which features products, made in China and is attended by morally bankrupt people, who care little about their jobs and even less about you.

For years, since leaving the Democratic Party as a voter and supporter, I have tried my very best to maintain an image of optimism, that somehow America is the still the greatest Nation on planet Earth and that somehow, no matter what the progressive Democrats did, that somehow this Nation would still be able to overcome. I now realize that this was nothing more than foolish folly on my part.

We now live in a backward Country and World; were a Nation of Muslim savages gets formally recognized by a centralized power broker called the “United Nations” and the only true Democracy in the middle east cannot even get formal recognition from that same power broker.  We live in a Nation where homosexuality and the industrialized killing of unborn children are considered somehow normal.

Earlier in this piece, I spoke of Church and families; I would like to expand on that a bit here. There was a time, when you could walk to almost any protestant Church in America and always here the Word of God preached and the true gospel heard. Most Churches then preached from the King James Version of the Bible; of which this writer believes is the preserved Word of God for the English speaking man.

Today you are lucky if you can even find a Church that preaches from the King James Bible anymore. If they do use the King James Bible, they most likely did not even believe the words in it. Most Churches are so steeped in modernism that they do not even believe in separation from the world. If they do, they do not preach it for fear of offending someone. Many people, including modern day Christians, wonder why America’s decline has been so great. I usually answer those questions with, “look in the Churches.”

This is not to say that there are no Churches, who are rightly following the precepts of the older generations. Oh, there are a few. However, they are generally very small, half of them are rife with false doctrine, and even some are even poisoned with a cult-like mentality. Believe me; I know what I speak in this area.

So what is the solution? I wish I truly knew that answer. Some people believe that praying for revival is the answer. I personally believe America’s chance for true spiritual revival is over. We have gone too far, we have progressed ourselves into a cursed nation and I believe judgment going to poured out on this land, like you have never seen before.

I do truly believe as a born-again Christian of 30 years that the Rapture of the Church is imminent and that the judgments, as pointed to in the book of Revelation will be poured out very soon. I do believe that we as believers will have to endure trials before the rapture takes place. I will simply say this; the “preppers” and the survivalists have a point. We as Christians should exercise wisdom.

Again, I hate it that this blog posting and commentary have a fatalistic feel. However, I believe that we have reached the end and time is now a precious commodity.

He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus. (Revelation 22:20 KJV)

Amen.

What I would like to be out doing, but circumstances dictate otherwise. I miss driving for a living quite a bit. Anyone looking for a regional driver? I need to be home on the weekends.

I should also mention that I have a Michigan CDL class A with air brake. I have tanker and doubles endorsements. No hazmat, got to have a background check performed. Last time I checked, it cost $89 and some change for that. Plus testing costs.

Experience wise, I went to Wayne County Community College District in 2003 for eight weeks, state paid. Learned it all, thought I would get a job. No dice. All that effort, for nothing.

Anyone got anything?

This is pretty much dead on

Erick Rush writing at Canada Free Press, which has a ton more ads that I will ever have here:

On November 19, Pravda’s Xavier Lerma wrote an article asserting that President (I use the term loosely) Barack Obama had been re-elected “by an illiterate society.” Some conservatives have been wont to dismiss and ridicule some of the dead-on assessments of the former Soviet newspaper since it was once in fact a Soviet newspaper.

Some of this dismissal and ridicule did occur relative to Lerma’s piece; I think however, that such observations made by those who have been there and done that ought to be considered, if not heeded.

Lerma writes “He [Obama] is a Communist without question promoting the Communist Manifesto without calling it so… His cult of personality mesmerizes those who cannot go beyond their ignorance. They will continue to follow him like those fools who still praise Lenin and Stalin in Russia.  Obama’s fools and Stalin’s fools share the same drink of illusion.”

Sounds pretty dead-on if you ask me…

[…]

Over the past two weeks, congressional lawmakers have been posturing over the “fiscal cliff” upon which America is allegedly teetering, and the resulting debate on taxes: Obama wants to raise taxes; the Republicans in Congress ostensibly want to cut spending; the Democrats offer some spending cuts in trade for raising taxes, and so on… Considering the intellectual indolence of the American public thus far, I suppose there’s no reason for Congress and the Obama administration to believe we’d call them out for this blatant display of smoke and mirrors.

With the knowledge that increasing income taxes to 100% on all earners in the US, and confiscating every dollar we currently possess wouldn’t make a ding in the national debt or the deficit, let alone a dent, it becomes obvious that all of the maneuvering by Republican lawmakers is mere pretense. Why not simply detail the detrimental effects that raising taxes will have on the economy?

Perhaps because they don’t want advertise these facts to the American public any more than Obama does…

While it might be a no-brainer to you and me, the average non-partisan American voter will not be aware that this is the worst possible time for Republicans to be conciliatory with regard to this administration on any issue. Thus, they will perceive Republicans as obstructionist if they do not compromise with evil. Any Republican lawmaker possessed of the knowledge of Obama’s intent ought to be fighting him at every possible turn as a matter of course, publicity be damned.

I would also submit that there aren’t any GOP lawmakers who are sufficiently stupid or uninformed not to know that Obama is taking us down the road to communism. If they presume to this, they are engaging in deception.

Spot on. I would suggest that you go read all of that.

Video: Ron Paul’s exit interview

I will simply say this: Ron Paul’s downfall was that he dared to question the AIPAC crowd and their motivations. This made him a pariah on the right. Something I know full well about. Also too, his foreign policy views were a bit out of touch. Do not get me wrong, I do admire the guy. But he was stuck in a era prior to December 7, 1941. I agree with the premise that Wilsonian foreign policy is wrong. But, I disagree with his feeling that Iran should be left alone.

Personally, I believe in peace, though strength…. and not domination of the World by military might, or irresponsibility by disengagement of foreign policy. We have to be realists about the middle east and other places around the World. This, I suppose, would make me a Paleoconservative; who is a fatal realist. President Reagan followed this line very well. Both Bush Presidents were terrible at it. Again, I can empathize with Ron Paul and the rest of Paleoconservatives views. However, I believe realistic policy and no one based on ones whimsical feelings about “the way it was.”

Hopefully that makes sense.
