This is why I do not fly on a plane!

Because I read stuff like this here:

It is perhaps America’s most unsafe airport. Despite being the launching point for one of the planes hijacked on 9/11 — Flight 93, which crashed in Pennsylvania — Newark Airport has had numerous security violations since. The latest: a fake bomb that made it past Transportation Security Administration officers. Here, a Newark TSA screener who recently left the agency tells how silly policies and lazy workers do little to stop real threats:

A LOT of what we do is make-believe.

I’ve had to screen small children and explain to their parents I had no choice but to “check” them. I would only place my hands on their arms and bottom half of their legs, and the entire “pat-down” lasted 10 seconds. This goes completely against TSA procedure.

Because the cameras are recording our every move, we have to do something. If someone isn’t checked or even screened properly, the entire terminal would shut down, as this constitutes a security breach.

But since most TSA supervisors are too daft to actually supervise, bending the rules is easy to do.

Did you know you don’t need a high-school diploma or GED to work as a security screener? These are the same screeners that TSA chief John Pistole and Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano refer to as a first-class first line of defense in the war on terror.

These are the employees who cou

I mean, after reading all that; can you really blame me? 😯

apologies for silence

I just really have not been feeling the need to write anything as of late. My mind has been occupied with other things here as of late. Namely trying to get back into the truck driving business. I applied for a major company and am waiting to hear back. I will be applying for another here tomorrow.

What this means is that I will be most likely on the road for 30 days on end, and home for a few days and then off again. A refresher course will be needed, it is mainly for the insurance companies; which I happen to think that reform is highly overdue, especially with the trucking industry, it should fall under labor department rules and regulations. Trucking is exempt from those rules and regulations; for better….or worse. 🙁

What this also means that my internet access and my ability to write will be limited, while I am refreshing myself to the art of driving a semi-truck and until I am able to afford a smart phone. I am hoping against hope, that my truck will have some sort of internet with the Qualcomm system in it. But, I will not hold my breath.

It just really pisses me the hell off that I have been out of truck for 10 years now. In 2003, I went to school to get my CDL-A and instead of being smart and getting with a good company and going over the road for two good years and actually learning to drive a fucking truck; like you are supposed to — stupid me, goes out and gets with some small time operator, because I want to stay near home. Anyhow, I ended up with a person who was a bigger idiot than me; and I promptly get into a fucking accident with my truck. Luckily, no one died and I really did not damage anything, except for an errant light pole that happened to be in my way.

The good thing, the idiot truck owner; who was really a moron, lost his authority to pull loads and is no longer in business. The bad part is this; All of this happened back in 2003-2004. I have not drove a truck since then. To any and all trucking companies, I am basically considered a high risk and would not be hired. Insurance companies would not insure me at all.  So this means, I have to go with a company, like Swift Transport, or one that has a trucking school to go to a class to teach me something that I already know how to do —- drive a truck. 🙄

After this, then I have to ride with someone, who is considered a trainer, for as long as the company thinks that I need to do it; all the while paying me chicken feed, while the trucking company keeps the profit. It is called legalized slave labor and it does piss me off a great deal. 😡 Not to mention that fact, that I might end up with some AIDS infested faggot or some cowboy, who thinks going down mountains at 90 MPH is a cool thing to do. Now as for the faggot comment. A bit of person revelation here: When I was 9-year-old, someone tried to molest me; basically a kid in Jr. High, caught me in the bathroom at school and wanted me to give him a BJ. I reported it, and he was expelled. Ever since then, I have been leery about being around men in close quarters, like sleeping.

Either way, it is the route that I have to go; because I really, outside of a miracle, do not have any other choice at this point. That is if I even can get hired by a company at all.

So, as you can see, my mind is in other places at the moment. I will try to keep everyone informed about what is going on. This writing is not paying anything anymore; and I have to get out from under my parents. Living here is not easy anymore. I’ll just put it like that.

Pray for me — much, please.

Update: I almost forgot to add this following: Add to all this above, that I have two 60-something year old parents. 68 and 65 and I am an only child. I am all they have. When something bad goes down. I am the only thing they have to be there for them. 🙁

Some good reading on the Iraq War

This is some good reading here. It is a progressive magazine and writer; but man does he ever have a point. The sick part is, we might just be doing it again, with Iran.

Not to put too fine a point on it, but the invasion of Iraq turned out to be a joke. Not for the Iraqis, of course, and not for American soldiers, and not the ha-ha sort of joke either. And here’s the saddest truth of all: on March 20th as we mark the 10th anniversary of the invasion from hell, we still don’t get it. In case you want to jump to the punch line, though, it’s this: by invading Iraq, the US did more to destabilize the Middle East than we could possibly have imagined at the time. And we—and so many others—will pay the price for it for a long, long time.

As for the Nork’s, I think that is a bunch of bluster myself. Of course, we are watching them and making sure nothing major goes on over there.

It’s a bit more than I make!

I hate be a part of the right-wing echo chamber, but what the hell already! These idiots are bitching about a budget and they are doing stupid stuff like this, what the hell! 😡

With the White House closing its doors to public tour groups in order to save money for the sequester, it’s worth remembering some of the other costs the White House incurs annually.

Like the “Chief Calligrapher,” Patricia A. Blair, who has an annual salary of $96,725, and her two deputies, Debra S. Brown, who gets paid $85,953 per year, and Richard T. Muffler, who gets paid $94,372 every year.

In all, the White House appears to employ 3 calligraphers for a yearly total of $277,050.

Despite sequestration, there’s been no announcement of the White House scaling back on calligraphers.

I have not worked full time since 2005 and I have $101.48 in the bank at the moment, wanna see? Here:

Okay, now that you see that I am not lying about how much money that I have; can you see now why this one just pisses me off just a bit? I am sitting here, making exactly jack crap and the Country is on the road to financial ruin, and the President and Congress are playing this silly little sequester shell game with the American people; and they are paying people that much money to write fancy?!?!?  Not only that they are using taxpayer dollars to do so.

This my friends is what the Republicans/Conservatives/Tea Party people are talking about when they mention the disconnect between what is happening in Washington D.C. and in the White House with what is happening in the rest of the Country. This is the stuff that makes me what to continue running this blog, because the same out of touch stupidity that went on in the Bush Administration is still happening in the Obama Administration! Nothing changed, nothing is any different! “Hope and Change” was nothing more than a damned con-job and the gullible American people bought it, because they had Bush fatigue!

I mean, again, I hate to sound like I am a part of the “right-wing” noise machine, but when it gets a bit hard for even a skeptic of the right AND the left to ignore; something is wrong, bad wrong and the President needs to fix his reputation and the Democrats image problem, before they get their asses handed to them in 2014 and 2016.

Blocked Texas Fred from viewing this blog ever again

It seems that “Texas Fred”, who is some idiot, low-rent, social security drawing head case from Texas, who seems to have a problem with me, for some reason; has come back for more.

He left this comment on the posting that I linked to:

I did insult your blog, it looked like it was thrown together by a 3rd grader on ACID… I see you changed your look, but I also see you’re still a 1st class MORON… If a reader hadn’t sent me this crap I wouldn’t have had the great laugh I did today…

Charming fellow ain’t he? 🙄

Well, he is blocked permanently from viewing this blog ever again. This is something I use sparingly, heck, I haven’t blocked that Atheist in Flint that likes to mess with me. Anyhow, Bill Smith warned me about Fred as did a few others. So, I finally took the steps for him not to be able to read this blog. I figure if he dislikes it so much around here, I will just fix it, where he cannot read here anymore.

Hugo Chavez dead of Cancer at 58

Sad News, even if the man was a sworn communist:

CARACAS, Venezuela (AP) — President , the fiery populist who declared a socialist revolution in Venezuela, crusaded against U.S. influence and championed a leftist revival across Latin America, died Tuesday at age 58 after a nearly two-year bout with cancer.

Vice President Nicolas Maduro, surrounded by other government officials, announced the death in a national television broadcast. He said Chavez died at 4:25 p.m. local time.

via News from The Associated Press.

He leaves behind two daughters and a wife. My condolences to his family. I will say one thing; as mach as I disagreed with the man’s politics, I did admire the fact that he stood for what he believed in, and was willing to take it to his grave.

May he rest in peace.

Update: Now a Memeorandum Thread.

Bloggers and Lawsuits

InstaPundit Points to the following:

SUING BLOGGERS NEARLY ALWAYS BACKFIRES: “Edwin Mellen Press is dropping a wildly unpopular libel lawsuit against a university librarian.”

If you’re thinking of suing a blogger, read this first.

This is why I have a disclaimer.

I’d love to see some Jewish Right-winger sue me for telling the truth about them. I’d counter-sue for millions and clean up. 😀

As a matter of fact, I have a rather good lawsuit against David Horowitz, because of two bloggers, who were in his employment, slandered me once. I might still pursue that one, because is malice involved there; and I know why. Those woman now work for Michelle Malkin, and I could actually include her in the lawsuit, if I wanted to. Could you imagine the media fallout on those people, if I went after them in court for a few hundred million?

I mean, I have not been able to find work, since that was published; and I could very well go into court and state my case; that I was slandered and now, because what was published about me; I cannot find a job. Also too, I could state in court, that these women attacked me and slandered me, because I dared to point out Michelle Malkin’s hypocrisy and went after her for publishing personal information about Graeme Frost’s parents back in 2006.

I believe I have a very tight case against them all. The question is, do I really want to bother with it? Do I really want to try to find a lawyer that would take the case pro-bono or at least take it to be paid, when I win? Also too, is it really worth all that effort, all the hatred that would be for me, like from the blogosphere and from Fox News?

That’s the stuff that I have to consider.
