Churchhill Bust Returns to the oval office

Looks like Trump is starting things off right.

From politco:

President Donald Trump has returned a bust of Winston Churchill to the Oval Office—undoing former President Barack Obama’s most contentious interior decorating decision.

The Oval Office was redecorated in the hours between Obama’s exit from the White House and Trump’s arrival, and as always, the choices reflect the new president’s interests and priorities.

The Churchill bust had become a source of huge Republican outcry through the Obama presidency, with critics charging that then-president was turning his back on history and insulting America’s strongest ally. There were claims that Obama had put it in storage or returned it to the British government as a metaphor for his changing worldview—but none of those were true. He had moved it to a different place in the White House, in the Treaty Room on the second floor, which is in the residence, out of public view.

But that didn’t satisfy critics, including now-British Foreign Minister Boris Johnson, who last spring used its supposed removal as a proof point in explaining why in his opinion Obama had distanced himself from the British and should stay out of warning against Brexit.

Trump promised Brexit leader Nigel Farage during the campaign that he’d return it to the Oval Office, and doing so has now become one of his first acts as president.

Trump also added a bust of President Theodore Roosevelt to a bookshelf. He’s removed a special carpet Obama had made which was ringed with favorite quotes from historical figures and replaced it with a simpler one. Some of the artwork on the walls has been changed. The curtains behind the Resolute Desk, crimson on Friday morning as Obama left, are now gold.

The countdown to someone referring to this as some sort of a racist act by Donald Trump is in full swing. 😒

It’s a new dawn….

President Donald J. Trump being sworn into office on January 20, 2017

That’s all I have. There is really nothing else to say. It’s a new dawn, the Obama era is over. I voted for him, and I hope he does a good job as President.

Of course, this blog won’t become a Trump propaganda site. I will criticize where I feel it is due and I will praise, when I feel it is due too.

But, for once, I feel good about America again.

Trump takes the bait of the race-baiting left

Donald Trump is about to learn the price of taking the bait of the race-baiters of the left.

So, what happened is that John Lewis, a partisan and professional race-baiter, said that he did not feel that Donald Trump’s winning the election of 2016 was in his words, “Legit”.

Well, Trump was having none of this:

Now, based upon the reaction of the leftist media, you would have thought that President-elect Trump donned a Klan uniform and burned a cross on the White House lawn. But, he didn’t. He basically told Lewis to clean up his own backyard, before criticizing him.

President-elect Donald Trump is about to learn a cold, hard lesson in Washington politics, when it comes to race. There are scared cows that you do not tip, and John Lewis is one of them. In fact, half of the Democratic in D.C. won’t be there for his swearing-in.

It is sad really, and it is an example of how bad politics in this century has become.

Great new blog! The Paleo-Populist

I was over looking at The Conservative Heritage Times, which hasn’t been updated in a while and I happened to notice a link to a new Blog.

I have the great pleasure of introducing The Paleo-Populist blog!

From their About Us Page:

Paleo-Populist.com is a group website that is intended to serve as an internet hub for a paleoconservative and populist alternative to mainstream conservatism. Initially the site will be primarily for long form essays from a paleoconservative, populist or otherwise outside the mainstream conservative perspective. With time and traffic we hope to add a blog, podcasts, YouTube videos and a publishing house.

I look forward to reading this site, alot. I believe that we Conservative populists are unrepresented in the Blogosphere and we need more voices. This, is an excellent start!

Heck, I might even submit a piece there myself! 😀

Thug cop killer assumes room temperature

I am glad to see this thug get his just deserts.

Thug cop killer Jason Robison is now at room temperature, where he cannot hurt anyone else.

Suspected cop killer Jason Robison is still at large and considered dangerous, according to police.

Authorities said Trooper Landon Weaver was shot and killed by Robison at about 6:30 p.m. Friday when the officer investigated a “domestic-related incident” at a home on Bakers Hollow Road in Juniata Township in Huntingdon County. The area where the shooting occurred has been closed off while police officers search for Robison.

Robison made his feelings toward law enforcement known on his Facebook page less than two weeks before the killing.

“The only good cop is a dead cop,” he said in a Dec. 17 post, which was on Facebook until about 1 a.m. Saturday when it was deleted. The status included two images — one of a police cruiser that had crashed and another of an injured police officer.

Robison, according to court documents, has previously been arrested about a dozen times with charges ranging from simple assault to arson.

Weaver enlisted with state police in December 2015 and was assigned to Troop G, Huntingdon. He is the 97th member of the Pennsylvania State Police to be killed in the line of duty, according to authorities. – Via Centre Daily

This guy got just what was coming to him, via AP:

The Deceased Law Enforcement Officer – Trooper Landon Weaver, who was only 23 – leaves behind a wife. He was the bravest of the brave – God be with his family.

JUNIATA TOWNSHIP, Pa. (AP) — The suspect in the fatal shooting of a first-year Pennsylvania trooper was shot and killed after making threats to police who located him Saturday morning, authorities said.

Trooper Landon Weaver, 23, was killed responding to a domestic complaint Friday evening in a rural area in Huntingdon County, in central Pennsylvania. An overnight manhunt for the suspect ended Saturday morning when police found 32-year-old Jason Robison at an unoccupied mobile home in the area, authorities said.

Cpl. Adam Reed, a state police spokesman, said Robison refused orders and threatened officers on the scene, leading police to shoot him. His death was confirmed at about 10:30 a.m.

Weaver was responding to a reported violation of a protection-from-abuse order when he was shot. Details of that complaint were not immediately available, and Reed did not immediately know who owned the home where Weaver was killed.

The search for Robison was focused on an area around the home and nearby Raystown Lake.

I feel this way, because I have family that has word in law enforcement. I feel that a Cop Killer is a Cop Killer is a Cop Killer; I do not give a darn what color he is. If you kill a cop; you are the worst thing on this planet. Police Officers do not make laws, they simply enforce them. There is a fine line between anarchy and a Free Republic and these officers are it.

If we are going to outraged when a “Black Lives Matter” thug kills a Law Enforcement Officer; then we should be equally outraged when a white man kills a Law Enforcement Officer as well. Skin color should never matter. Murder is wrong and immoral and the killing of a Police Officer is more so.

The biggest reason this bugs me, is this:

Any questions?

One thing that bothers me about Trump

While looking at this article here, I happened to have stumble upon this video. Yes, this does bother me about our next President.

The video:

Perhaps this man is correct:

Olbermann’s bombast and personality aside….the next 8 years and yes, there will be 8 years; are going to be very interesting. I haven’t started regretting my vote yet…. But, I am going to be watching….very closely.

Liberal Democrats and the Electoral College

I know I have not written in a long while. I just do not have the drive to write about politics, like I used to. I guess I just do not have the stamina like I once did.

However, I have to laugh at the idiotic nonsense that I am seeing on Memeorandum about the electoral college. First up let’s look at the NYT’s call for getting rid of the electoral college:

The Electoral College, which is written into the Constitution, is more than just a vestige of the founding era; it is a living symbol of America’s original sin. When slavery was the law of the land, a direct popular vote would have disadvantaged the Southern states, with their large disenfranchised populations. Counting those men and women as three-fifths of a white person, as the Constitution originally did, gave the slave states more electoral votes.

Today the college, which allocates electors based on each state’s representation in Congress, tips the scales in favor of smaller states; a Wyoming resident’s vote counts 3.6 times as much as a Californian’s. And because almost all states use a winner-take-all system, the election ends up being fought in just a dozen or so “battleground” states, leaving tens of millions of Americans on the sidelines.

There is an elegant solution: The Constitution establishes the existence of electors, but leaves it up to states to tell them how to vote. Eleven states and the District of Columbia, representing 165 electoral votes, have already passed legislation to have their electors vote for the winner of the national popular vote. The agreement, known as the National Popular Vote interstate compact, would take effect once states representing a majority of electoral votes, currently 270, signed on. This would ensure that the national popular-vote winner would become president.

Conservative opponents of a direct vote say it would give an unfair edge to large, heavily Democratic cities and states. But why should the votes of Americans in California or New York count for less than those in Idaho or Texas? A direct popular vote would treat all Americans equally, no matter where they live — including, by the way, Republicans in San Francisco and Democrats in Corpus Christi, whose votes are currently worthless. The system as it now operates does a terrible job of representing the nation’s demographic and geographic diversity. Almost 138 million Americans went to the polls this year, but Mr. Trump secured his Electoral College victory thanks to fewer than 80,000 votes across three states: Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.

I cannot believe that the NYT actually wrote that with a straight face. Funny, I do not seem to remember anyone complaining about the electoral college when Barack Obama won the election twice or when Bill Clinton won the election twice.

Then, there is this from the NYT:

In Washington, a state where Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont had strong support in the Democratic primary against Hillary Clinton, three of the state’s 12 electoral votes went to Colin L. Powell, the Republican former secretary of state. One more elector voted for Faith Spotted Eagle, a Native American leader. Another Democratic elector in Hawaii voted for Mr. Sanders.

Two Texas electors voted for different Republican politicians: Gov. John Kasich of Ohio and former Texas congressman Ron Paul.

In addition, three Democratic electors, in Colorado, Maine and Minnesota, initially declined to vote for Mrs. Clinton. Two were replaced by an alternate, and one ended up changing his vote.

Golly gee, you think that it might just be that the majority of Democratic Party voters simply hated Clinton and just saw her as a 1990’s retread and a continuation of establishment Democratic Party politics as usual? Or…Maybe perhaps that the majority of Americans are sick and tired of living under the conditions that the Democrats have created, like stagnate wages, high taxes and a health care system that quite frankly sucks?

Nah, that would actually mean thinking in true reality terms, something that Democrats of today have a problem doing. 🙄

And finally, there is this from this guy here (click the link please…):

Couldn’t post this earlier today because it’s too depressing, but today the Electoral College voted to put the worst president-elect in my memory in charge of the United States.

I expected this, because the Electoral College has become a meaningless rubber stamp, instead of the safeguard against the election of an unqualified president it was intended to be.

I don’t know what to say. This country — and the world — is in for a nightmare world of hurt. We’re witnessing the early days of a disaster.

I mean, it is truly laughable to see liberal Democrats, quite literally losing their ever-loving minds over Donald Trump. I mean to listen to these people; you would think that Trump is going to start rounding people up and sending them to death camps or something. Do these people know that we are a Republic and that there safe guards in place to limit his power and if he attempts to abuse that power, that he could be impeached? Apparently not. 🙄

The Trump Derangement Syndrome era has begun.
