Tragic: Former Texas Fox Station employee shots himself outside News Corps Offices

This is tragic:

A former employee of a Fox station in Texas shot and killed himself outside the front doors of the News Corporation building shortly before 9 a.m. Monday, a law-enforcement official said.

The building houses 21st Century Fox and News Corporation, which owns The Wall Street Journal.

The man, Phillip Perea, 41 years old, of Irving, Texas, shot himself once in the chest outside of 1211 Avenue of the Americas, the official said. Mr. Perea had previously worked for a Fox station in Austin, Texas, police said.

Mr. Perea had also been handing out fliers, which criticized his employer for having “ended my career,” moments before he shot himself, the official said.

Now, of course, the classless left and some classless ones on the right, are having a field day with this one. You will see the links to their postings below. All I will say about this is, my condolences and prayers to the family of this man.

Obviously, something happened to trigger this and I pray for the man’s family.

I have to agree with Rand Paul on this one about Mitt Romney.

As much as I hate to admit it, I have to agree with Rand Paul here.

The Video:

World News Videos | ABC World News

The Story:

As recently as October, Ann Romney was poo-pooing the notion of a third Mitt Romney candidacy. After two failed presidential bids, in 2008 and 2012, she and her husband had “moved on,” she told ABC News.

Though sources close to Mitt Romney recently announced he’s once again “thinking about” another bid for the White House, at least one of Romney’s GOP colleagues thinks Ann Romney had the right idea.

“I’m with Ann Romney on this one: No, no, no, no, never,” Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., told ABC News’ Jonathan Karl at a forum of three likely 2016 presidential candidates in Palm Springs, California, Sunday night.

Romney “would have made a great president,” added Paul, rumored to be considering his own White House bid. “But to win the presidency you have the reach out and appeal to new constituencies. And I just don’t think it’s possible.”

“And if he thinks, ‘Well, I’m just going to change a few themes and next time I’ll reach out to more people,’ I think it’s a little more visceral than that,” the libertarian lawmaker said of Romney

via Rand Paul on Possible Mitt Romney Run: ‘No, No, No, No’ – ABC News.

Of course, Rand Paul has his own set of issues; namely one, his Father. Rand Paul has to prove to the hawkish side of the GOP, the Neocons; that he will not be an Anti-Israel, bigoted person like his Father is accused of being by those on the marxist Right and Left.

As for his comments about Romney, I happen to agree. Romney, the last time he ran, came off to the majority of America as some rich guy, who really did not care about the middle class in this Country. Now, does Rand Paul strike me as that type of a person? In some ways yes, he seems like a very nice man. Not only this, Romney was a mormon, and as I have written here many times; most evangelical Christians and most all Fundamentalist Christians have a deep distrust of the mormons and their so-called “Church.” This is truly why Mitt Romney lost the election, because the evangelical and Fundamentalist Christians, a very large voting bloc in the Republican Party and within the Conservative Base simply stayed home.

Furthermore, most Republicans and Christian Conservatives simply felt that Mitt Romney was too moderate, they also felt that he was too squishy on issues important to the Republican and Conservative Christian base. Not only that, Mitt Romney simply would not fight in the last election. There were times when, I felt that, Mitt Romney should have come out swinging on Obama and could have easily deep sixed Obama’s chances of winning; but, because he was simply too nice of a guy, he would not do it. This, my friends, is how elections are NOT won. If you are going to play the political game, you have to fight. The Democrats fight and they fight dirty and you have to beat them at their game. This is how Reagan won, this is how Bush 41 won and this is how Bush 44 won.

Simply put: Mitt Romney cannot win. Neither can the rest of the moderate squishes who are running. The Republican Party is no longer a moderate party and the Conservative base is not a moderate base any longer. The are plugged in, and they are wanting real people, who share their convictions.

Alright, enough slacking! Time to crank this blog back up

As you all most likely know, I have been slacking quite a bit around here these days. Since the 2012 election, I just felt like I was spinning my wheels and talking to myself. Since that time, this blogs output has been, well, slow. I just did not have the “fire in my belly” to really write about politics anymore.

Well, that is about to change. I am going to try, at least; to get back to doing this little job. As it does, sometimes, pay a little money. Don’t expect bomb throwing or any other sort of stupidity. I am not going to be your typical “right-wing” writer. I have an independent streak in me; and I tend not to tow a party line or talking point at all. I am also a bit of a contrarian and I really do not get into the “Hive-Mind” mentally of the left and the neocon right. So, if you are expecting Ace of Spades meets Hotair.com, you are going to be very disappointed.

Anyhow, I am going to try to post, at least something, once a day or more. Depending on my mood and health, of course. But, the slacking is over. I have gotten over 2012 long ago, and I was just too lazy to start back. Well, I am getting bored and need something to do, again. So, here we go.

Behold: The Republican Party’s first homosexual Presidential Candidate

Yup, I mean this guy: (H/T HotAir)

youtube placeholder image

Yep, ol’ closeted idiot homo Lindsey Grahamnesty is running for President.

Quote:

“I’m not doing it to make a statement. I’m doing it to change the country and offer what I have to offer to the American people, and to my party. And I think I’m uniquely qualified to deal with the threats we’re talking about. So when I hear a United States Senator trying to rationalize that Iraq created the problems in France, and when I hear some libertarians on my side of the aisle associated with the Republican Party say that it is our interventionist policy that has brought people down on us, they don’t know what they’re talking about. When I hear the president of the United States and his chief spokesperson failing to admit that we’re in a religious war, it really bothers me. And I want to be somebody who can talk about the world as it really is.”

Of course, Lindsey’s gay lover buddy, Juan McSame is ecstatic:

My illegitimate son Lindsey Graham is exploring that option,” two-time presidential candidate [Sen. John McCain] said, prompting laughter from reporters during a press conference on the prison at Guantanamo Bay. “So I am strongly encouraging Sen. Lindsey Graham, particularly with the world the way it is today. No one understands the world today in the way that Lindsey Graham does, in my view.

I will tell you this; if this idiot is even remotely serious; the Conservative wing of the GOP and the liberal left will make mincemeat out of this man and his political career. So, Lindsey, if you have any sort of common sense, stay out of this very important Presidential race.

No, not Romney again

No, not him again. 🙄

Mitt Romney forcefully declared his interest in a third presidential run to a room full of powerful Republican donors Friday, disrupting the fluid 2016 GOP field as would-be rival Jeb Bush was moving swiftly to consolidate establishment support.

Romney, the 2012 Republican nominee, has been mulling another campaign for several months, but his comments Friday marked a clear step forward in his thinking and come amid mounting tensions between the Romney and Bush camps.

“I want to be president,” Romney told about 30 donors in New York. He said that his wife, Ann — who last fall said she was emphatically against a run — had changed her mind and was now “very encouraging,” although their five sons remain split, according to multiple attendees.

via Romney to GOP donors: ‘I want to be president.’ – The Washington Post.

The last time around, I supported Mitt Romney and his quest to be President. This time around, not so much. If the GOP selects this guy to be their choice for President of the United States; then they deserve to get trounced in the election again in 2016. The middle working class in this Country simply do not want some rich guy telling them what is wrong with the Country. Mitt Romney might have saved the Olympics and he might have been a good business person; but that is not the only need for being a politician. The person has to be likeable. Mitt Romney comes off to middle class working people as stiff, arrogant, and aloof.

Also too, let’s just be real here. Mitt Romney is nothing more than a mushy moderate. The GOP needs someone who will stand in clear contrast to the big spending, big Government, socialist idiocy of the Democratic Party. We need someone in the GOP, who will, rather forcefully, assert that the Democrats under Obama have basically screwed this Country into the ground and that under his leadership, under his leadership that America’s standing in the world has slipped greatly.

I just do not feel that Mitt Romney has that ability; not only that, but, Romney simply refuses to take the gloves off and fight for White House. He would not do it in the last election with Obama, for fear of being called a racist. Which now, is a major handicap.

Put simply: The GOP can do better than Romney, Jeb Bush or Chris Christie. There a bunch of contenders who would far better than them three knuckleheads.

As Christian Conservative, I do NOT support this!

As many of you know, I am a Paleoconservative; which basically means that I am opposed to wilsonian foreign policy. I am also a bit of a racial realist. However, this story here is not something I happen to think is funny, or even remotely acceptable.

LIMESTONE COUNTY, Ala. – Terry Turner was ringing in the new year with her granddaughter Wednesday evening when a crash at the front of her home startled her.

She was in the back bedroom of her home when three windows in the front of the house were broken by heavy rocks. Frantic, she dialed 911 and slipped out the bedroom window with her granddaughter into her back yard, fearing that people were in her home.

When Limestone County Sheriff’s deputies arrived, they found the scene pictured above. They discovered that rocks had been thrown through three windows and a racial slur had been spray-painted on her home.

Now, some people would say, “Well, it is Alabama.” Sorry, that is not even remotely acceptable. American citizens should be able to live where they darned well please, without fear of something like this happening to them. Whether they be black, white or any other race. Incidents like this right here, are why civil rights laws were created in this Country. Hopefully, Obama’s justice department will look into this one.

Early Tuesday morning short takes

  1. Ugh. – Rep. Steve Scalise (R-La.), the House majority whip, acknowledged Monday that he spoke at a gathering hosted by white-supremacist leaders while serving as a state representative in 2002, thrusting a racial controversy into House Republican ranks days before the party assumes control of both congressional chambers.
  2. Yeesh… – Rep. Michael Grimm has decided to resign from Congress in the wake of his guilty plea on a felony tax evasion charge, sources told the Daily News Monday night.Grimm (R-S.I.) said after he entered his plea last week that he planned to continue serving in the House. But he reversed course after speaking Monday to House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio), who has taken a hard line on GOPers facing ethics charges.
  3. WTF?!?!?!? – Natalie Heimel and her fiancé, Edward Mallue Jr., a pair of captains in the Army, were walking from their wedding rehearsal on Saturday at the 16th tee box at Kaneohe Klipper Golf Course in Hawaii when they were informed they’d have to move their wedding, scheduled for the next day. President Barack Obama wanted to play through.
  4. Heh, good luck with that one. – Few questions in American political debate recur with the regularity of this one: Can Democrats win the white working class?

Also too, see in a blog posting reacting to number 4; this on a progressive blog:

Yep. And the votes of Latinos and white-working-class folk are interchangeable, too, as Waldman also notes. Now it’s not true in presidential elections that all votes are equal, thanks to the Electoral College. But maybe we can fix that some day.

Now, I don’t know about you; but, I read that above quoted as saying that the liberal I quoted, wants black and latino votes to count more or be more important that working class white votes — or white votes, period.  Now that, to me, sounds like a slipping of the mask and a full admission of a fascist mentality among the progressive left. Which brings me to my second point: Much has been ballyhooed over the course of many years among the White Nationalist’s about how the blacks and latino; and yes, even Jews — want us white americans in chains and slaves to the said minority races. Now, for many years, I have rejected that sort of thought as utter nonsense. Now, I am honestly starting to wonder about that — and this is proof as to why.

We live in some interesting times, to say the least.

In previous years, I have put Bible verses in here during this time.

This year, I will simply wish all of my readers a very Merry CHRISTmas!

Remember, he IS the REASON for the season!

Update: I wrote this last year, and I still feel the same way now:

As a Fundamental Baptist, I celebrate the Birth, Death, and the resurrection of Jesus Christ every day of my life. So, the special holiday is a bit pointless to me.

As a paleoconservative, I will celebrate, when the United States of America stops occupying foreign lands. I will celebrate whenALL of our troops finally come home from war. I will celebrate when the neoconservative right and the internationalist Democratic leftists are finally defeated and American returns to its “America first” roots.

I will celebrate Christmas, when the United States of America stops spying on its own people, and we can live in a truly free society without wonder whether or not the Government and big tech companies like Google, facebook, and twitter are not sharing our information with the Government.

I will celebrate Christmas, when the United States of America stops its insane policy of importing over 90% of its goods from foreign lands and begins building its products here in this Country. I will celebrate Christmas, when the persecution of Christians around the world stops. I will celebrate Christmas, when the media persecution of Christians in America ceases to exist.

I will celebrate Christmas when the poor and disadvantaged are giving a chance to succeed in life and not just given a handout. I will celebrate Christmas, when the Republican Party looks at the middle class and TRULY wants to help them keep their money and not just treat them as a major pain the Party’s rear end.

I will celebrate Christmas, when the Conservative movement starts to move away from the extremism that has encroached its ranks. I will celebrate Christmas, when both of these political sides of the aisle can actually talk to one another again, instead of talking past each other. I will celebrate Christmas, when the political blogosphere on the right and the left actually starts being civil to one another again, and to each other.

I will celebrate Christmas, when political correctness is finally defeated, and reality is no longer viewed as hateful or even worse — racist.

I will celebrate Christmas, when black on white crime is actually reported in the media and given the same amount of scrutiny as white on black crime, or black on black crime. I will celebrate Christmas, when people who choose to own guns and protect the second amendment are not seen as freaks, crazy; or even as domestic terrorists.

I will celebrate Christmas, when a man, of any color, can walk down the streets of any inner city and no be afraid for his life. I will celebrate Christmas, when a homeowner can leave his doorsunlocked anywhere in America and not have worry about his home being robbed or worse.

Most importantly, I will celebrate Christmas, when America’s politics, banking, entertainment and media are once again controlled, financed by true, real, Anglo-Saxon Americans again and not by immigrants from other Countries, who do not have America’s best interests in mind. Furthermore, I will celebrate Christmas, when special interest groups like The Southern Poverty Law Center, GLAAD, NAACP, AIPAC, the Center for American Progress, Open Society Foundation and many other leftist organizations are all officially out of business for good.

I will celebrate Christmas; when the Democratic Party begins to move from its Marxist extremism position and finds its moral compass and center — and comes back to the working middle class in this Country and treats them with the respect and dignity that they very much deserve — not like a tax target and target of disdain and ridicule.

I will celebrate Christmas; when every American in this Country, who wants to work — can get a job and keep it — and make a good living for himself and his family. This includes myself.

Until that time, I will continue to do what I do here on this blog.

Merry Christmas everyone, and please remember those this fine holiday; who have nothing to celebrate.

The singer song-writer from Sheffield had a career lasting more than 40 years with hits including You Are So Beautiful and Up Where We Belong.

His agent Barrie Marshall confirmed that he had died of an undisclosed illness.

He said he was “simply unique” and “it will be impossible to fill the space he leaves in our hearts.”

Known for his gritty voice, Cocker began his singing career in the pubs and clubs of Sheffield in the 1960s before hitting the big time.

He was propelled to pop stardom when his version of The Beatles’ With A Little Help from My Friends reached number one.
