This is stupid and does nothing for the second amendment cause

I’m with SayUncle on this one here; this is just plain stupid:

It would be an understatement to say that the tactics of gun rights activists have been backfiring of late. The showdown has taken place foremost in Texas, where in recent months groups such as Open Carry Texas have conducted provocative demonstrations in which armed men exercise their right under state law to carry semi-automatic rilfes in public. No fewer than five national food and beverage chains have now told them to get rid of their guns or get lost, including Starbucks, Wendy’s, Applebees, Jack In The Box, and Chipotle.

And now Chili’s and Sonic have effectively joined the list: Two videos posted on YouTube on May 19 by the San Antonio chapter of Open Carry Texas—since removed from public view but obtained by Mother Jones—show its armed members being refused service at both restaurants. The two companies have not made official statements on open carry but have since indicated that they are reviewing their policies. From the nervous and angry reactions of some patrons to comments from some of the gun activists themselves, it’s not difficult to see why these spectacles haven’t been winning many people over.

“I just wish I had my kids in there when that one dumb chick come up and started rattin’ her mouth,” said one of the gun activists.

When a young woman approaches the group in Chili’s and expresses her dismay, a guy with an assault rifle strapped across his back offers her a flier. “Um actually, there’s children here,” she replies, “and you’re a dumbass.” As she walks away one member of the group comments mockingly, “Yes, I’m a dumbass,” and then says of her, “must be Moms Demand Action,” referring to the national gun-reform group.

Again, I am all for the second amendment. I am also for being able to carry a gun; in public, within the confines of the law. However, carrying an AR-15 or any other sort of a assault rifle into a public place does nothing more than cause panic and makes law-abiding gun owners look like idiots.

The idea is to convince the public that not everyone who carries a gun is some sort of mental unstable whack-jobs. This here, does nothing to further that cause; in fact, it does the opposite.

Just my opinion.

Joe the Plumber gets it right

I hate to say it, but he is right:

I’m not talking here about the three tragic murders Rodger committed by stabbing before his driving and shooting spree; I speak now only to the families of the gunshot victims in Santa Barbara:

It’s a tragedy.

I am sorry you lost your child. I myself have a son and daughter and the one thing I never want to go through, is what you are going through now. But:

As harsh as this sounds – your dead kids don’t trump my Constitutional rights.

Richard Martinez, whose son (Christopher) was among the murdered, choked back tears at a news conference, blaming politicians the next day: “The talk about gun rights. What about Chris’ right to live?” Martinez said – and much more.

There are no critical words for a grieving father. He can say whatever he wants and blame whoever he’d like – it’s okay by me. You can’t take a step in his shoes – at least I can’t.

But the words and images of Mr. Martinez blaming “the proliferation of guns”, lobbyists, politicians, etc.; will be exploited by gun-grab extremists as are all tragedies involving gun violence and the mentally ill by the anti-Second Amendment Left.

As a father, husband and a man, it is my responsibility to protect my family. I will stand up for that right vehemently. Please believe me, as a father I share your grief and I will pray for you and your family, as I do whenever I hear about senseless tragedies such as this.

The CIA’s top officer in Kabul was exposed Saturday by the White House when his name was inadvertently included on a list provided to news organizations of senior U.S. officials participating in President Obama’s surprise visit with U.S. troops.

The White House recognized the mistake and quickly issued a revised list that did not include the individual, who had been identified on the initial release as the “Chief of Station” in Kabul, a designation used by the CIA for its highest-ranking spy in a country.

The disclosure marked a rare instance in which a CIA officer working overseas had his cover — the secrecy meant to protect his actual identity — pierced by his own government. The only other recent case came under significantly different circumstances, when former CIA operative Valerie Plame was exposed as officials of the George W. Bush administration sought to discredit her husband, a former ambassador and fierce critic of the decision to invade Iraq.

The only person responsible for the UCSB shooting is Elliot Rodger

As I am sure you already know; some deranged nut job named Elliot Rodger opened fire in a neighborhood out in Isla Vista, California near UCSB. Basically, because he couldn’t get laid.

Well, the blame game is starting; in fact, one of the victim’s Father went on an idiotic tirade against the NRA and basically Republicans. Well, there is only one problem with that; and thanks to twitchy for pointing this out:

So, the dude was legally registered; so much for this being the NRA’s fault. In fact, the NRA has called for mental health records to be a part of a firearms background check for licenses. Which some people actually argued against; funny that. 🙄

I also see where the so-called “Men’s Rights Movement” or him being “incel” is being blamed. Please note, “incel” is the cool kid crowd’s term for involuntary celibacy or in layman’s terms; couldn’t get laid in a monkey whore house with a bucket full of bananas! Something I know quite a bit about. Just being honest, there are not any babes beating my doors down guys. 🙁 But, you don’t see me going around shooting people, ain’t no poo tang or lack thereof, worth committing murder. 😯

Let me be clear:

People just need to stop!

The only person that is responsible for this horrible tragic event is the man who pulled the trigger of that legally registered gun; and that would be Elliot Rodger and only Elliot Rodger! Anyone who blames the NRA, The media, the politicians in Washington D.C. or anyone else is missing the point. How about blaming the inept police in Santa Barbara, California who did nothing at all to follow-up, when the shooters Father spoke to the police about some of his kid’s videos on youtube?

Blaming guns for a mass shooting like this; is like blaming automobiles for auto accidents. Do we just ban all cars? How about placing the blame where it belongs; on the person who actually did it!

Just my opinion.

Living proof that if you are black, a democrat and have money; you can get anything you want

Fox News reports: Judge allows long-time Dem Rep. Conyers on primary ballot | Fox News:

A federal judge put Michigan Rep. John Conyers, one of the longest-serving Democrats in Congress, on the primary ballot Friday hours after state election officials declared him ineligible.

Earlier Friday, Conyers lost his appeal to get on the August primary ballot after state officials found problems with his nominating petitions.

But hours later, Detroit federal Judge Matthew Leitman issued an injunction ordering that Conyers’ name be placed on the ballot.

Conyers needed 1,000 petition signatures to get a spot in the Democratic primary. But many petitions were thrown out because the people who gathered names weren’t registered voters or listed a wrong registration address. That left him more than 400 short.

But Leitman’s injunction said a Michigan law that puts strict requirements on petition circulators is similar to an Ohio law that was struck down as unconstitutional by a federal appeals court in 2008.

Leitman said the free speech rights of Conyers and the circulators were harmed, an argument pressed by the American Civil Liberties Union of Michigan.

There’s evidence that the failure to comply with the law was a “result of good-faith mistakes and that (circulators) believed they were in compliance with the statute,” the judge said.

Conyers, 85, told WXYZ-TV,”I’m trying not to smile openly much but this is very good news, and it’s also good news for the process.”

Unbelievable. The man was found unqualified, because the people who gathered the signatures were not registered voters. Rule of law? Not so much, when you are black, a democrat and have money; and possibly corrupt black friends in Government. Entitlement mentality? You don’t know the half of it. This a perfect example why Detroit is terminally screwed and Michigan is not too far behind it. One party rule, entitlement mentality due to past stupidity by elitists.

It honestly makes me ashamed that I was even born in that now crap-hole of a city, it really does. 😡 What kind of message does this send to the children of Detroit? One that laws only apply to white people and those who do not have money? It’s sickening, it really is and someone ought to file a lawsuit challenging this ruling. The trouble is that if someone did this, Mr. Conyers would play the race card and the National liberal media would go after that person. So, basically, it is a lost cause.

Needless to say, it is a sad state of affairs here in the D. 🙁

Eco-Terrorism?: Boil water notice to 670,000 Oregon residents after E. coli found

Do I dare ask? Could this be terrorism? It is to wonder; seeing we have a White House and liberal controlled Government that refuses to acknowledge such a thing.

The Story:

(CNN) — About 670,000 residents in Oregon were advised Friday to boil drinking water after several tests showed E. coli in some water samples, the Portland Water Bureau said.

“While we believe at this time that the potential health risk is relatively small, we take any contamination seriously and are taking every precaution to protect public health,” bureau Administrator David Shaff said in a statement.

The boil water advisory is issued to about 670,000 customers in the Portland Water Bureau and the Burlington, City of Gresham (north of Interstate 84), Lake Grove, Lorna Portland Water, Palatine Hill, Rockwood, Tigard Water Service Area (including Durham, King City and Bull Mountain), Valley View and West Slope Water Districts.

It has been said in the past by terrorism experts that Al-Qaeda could, in fact, use this sort of tactics against the United States. Who is to say that this was not an attempt? I’m just asking questions; as should all Americans.

The truth is that the Veteran’s Administration should be abolished, and the Healthcare system for the Vets should be totally privatized. With only the United States Government setup for simply providing funding. Give them a VA health card and let them take it to a hospital or doctor of their choice and allow them to see the doctor of their choice. Sort of like the way the Medicaid system is set up here in Michigan.
