Rand Paul talks about the future of the GOP

The Video: (H/T HotAir.com)

Quoting Ed Morrissey:

Paul the Younger has always seemed to have a better grasp on reality than Paul the Elder, and so far has managed to shed the disturbing connections to the fringe that his father courted. I don’t think that Paul will have enough of a following by 2016 to make a serious run for the Presidency, but his talents might be better used in the Senate to build a conservative wing along with Jim DeMint that can stop the excesses of Washington and fight for fiscal sanity. The presidency will always be critical to that fight, but it can’t be won without having solid players in the legislative branch as well.

Paul is an element of the future of the Republican Party, and if he works wisely, he could be a driving force for a deeper commitment to limited government and large-scale reform. That would be good news for everyone.

I kind of agree with this, and kind of I do not. For one, Rand Paul does have some questionable ties; namely his Father for one. Two, he has made some questionable statements on the Constitution and the civil rights act of 1964. However, I do admire his stances of taxes and states rights when it comes to social issues, which is something I believe that really kneecapped the GOP in this election, especially seeing that they ran an establishment figure.

Again, I believe, like Ed, that Rand Paul would be better suited for Congress. I believe Rubio could make some headway for the GOP in 2016. Some might disagree and say that Rubio would pander to minorities. This might be the case, but seeing the changing demographic in this Country — we got to do something or risk fading into a regional party.

Just my opinion. 😀

The Beast?

Please note: This post is simply humor, nothing more, nothing less.

I write that for the Christians who read this blog; who are, for what it is worth, a little bit slow on the uptake. Kinda like this guy here.

Anyways… Every time I hear someone mention the word BEAST in the context of politics or, well, the United States. I think of this song:

I just ended up on the hit list of every Fundamentalist or as I like to call them, every Funny and Mentalist, in America. 😉

Update: Yes, I know about this here; it is what I was referring to. 😛

Allen West finally concedes to Patrick Murphy

I wrote once before about this affirmative action Republican and now it seems that Allen West has decided to take his big bucket of chicken and go home, which is right where he belongs.  That’s right I said that about you, jar-head West, sue me.

Politico reports:

Florida Rep. Allen West — the tea party pugilist and face of the class of House Republicans that stormed to power two years ago — conceded Tuesday to 29-year-old construction executive Patrick Murphy in one of the nation’s highest-profile congressional races.

After two weeks of battle with St. Lucie County elections officials — and a recount of early votes that wound up extending Murphy’s lead — West acknowledged that he couldn’t surmount his 1,904-vote, or 0.58 percent, deficit. That difference was just outside the 0.5 percent threshold to automatically trigger a recount of all votes.

So the brash conservative opted to bow out rather than wage a long and costly court battle he was unlikely to win.

“For two weeks since Election Day, we have been working to ensure every vote is counted accurately and fairly. We have made progress towards that goal, thanks to the dedication of our supporters and their unrelenting efforts to protect the integrity of the democratic process,” West said in a statement to POLITICO. “While many questions remain unanswered, today I am announcing that I will take no further action to contest the outcome of this election.”

West congratulated Murphy, saying, “I pray he will serve his constituents with honor and integrity, and put the interests of our nation before his own.”

You mean, like when you put your own interests ahead of the people who elected you? Like, when you called members of the congressional black caucus communists? You mean, like when you broke the damned rules of engagement in Iraq, all so that you could look good supposedly save the lives of your fellow troops?

Sorry to say this sir; but you are nothing, but a goddamned disgrace to this Country, to the United States Military and to the political process in this damned Country! Furthermore, if there was any sort of decency in this Country or in the United States Military, you would cooling your heels in a Military prison in Leavenworth, Texas!

You seem to think that because you are black, and because you served in the United States Military; that somehow or another you are entitled to be in politics and are somehow or another special enough to represent this Country? You sir, deserve nothing at all, but scorn from this Nation. I happen to be a white conservative, who believes in rule of law and you sir did not uphold that principle, not only during your time in Iraq, but also during this election, where you got your little black butt kicked.

No, this is not about racism, not at all. Anyone that reads this blog, knows that I have nothing but disdain for this sort of stuff. What this is about, is me having a personal problem with someone, who used his Military credentials, despite the fact that he was a known law-breaker, to get public office. If it were not for the so-called Tea Party movement, and for the money of some rich white people in south Florida, who wanted a puppet in Congress. This guy would be shining shoes at the five and dime store.

Some of my long time readers and those who used to read my old blog, remember that I used to support this buffoon, when he ran for office and then after he was elected. Then, after he was elected, he started making these ridiculous statements to the media. This is when I knew that this man was not quite ready for prime-time. I regret any and all that I ever wrote in support of this guy. Because, quite franking, this idiot made the conservative movement look quite stupid.

Here is to sanity in south Florida and in Conservative politics. Congratulations to Patrick Murphy in a decisive win against a total buffoon.

Why because Obama is black?

Sorry, even I cannot sit here and not think that some people are just being racist. No, this is not a joke either.

Creepy? Seriously?

What they’re talking about is this:

A mural made for the United States first black President, in Burma.

It was done out of respect for the President. But yet, the so-called “Conservative” media and blogosphere says its “creepy.”

Sorry, but this little piece of so-called “Conservative media” makes me so angry, that I actually feel the need to fire up the word processing program and write a couple good lines about it.

As many of you know, I, at one time, was a Democratic Party voter. I grew up in southwest Detroit. I went to Church there for over eleven years. I lived in southwest for seventeen years. I grew up with, went school and Church with blacks, Latinos, and yes, the occasional white person. Therefore, this idiotic nonsense that the conservative media seems to think is funny, is just not registering as such on my humor meter.

Could it honestly be that the word “creepy” is the new racial codeword for black? I would really hope that the right is not that stupid and not that great of bigots. I fully admit in my day, of taking potshots at minorities and doing that in an inartful manner usually, because I was angry.

Therefore, I am issuing a message to the so-called “conservative media.” You are all on notice from here on out. No more, am I going to just sit here, chuckle, and not bring up the racist undertones of things that you say. I am going to start highlighting it. You say, “What about what is on your header?” Yeah, what about it? Sorry to tell you, but that is not racism that is the truth about Islam. Therefore, that little defense is out.

I am sorry, but I am becoming a little bit tired of the stupid hatred, by the so-called “conservative media” and so called “conservative blogosphere” towards the President of the United States of America, and all because he is a black man. It is getting to be a little bit old, at this point.

Here is a bit of a dose of cold, hard reality for you stupid idiots on the right. You want to know why you lost this election —- Because of stupid stuff like this right here! You do know that there are people who actually read those blogs of yours and my blog as well — from all sorts of racial backgrounds — Blacks, Whites, Hispanics and many more. Do you really honestly think that some undecided voter is really going to want to vote for a Republican candidate, if they happen to read some nuanced racism on a Conservative blog towards the President? I really think not.

Therefore, I am just going to tell it like it is. Therefore, men and women of the Republican Party and the Conservative movement hear me loud and clear: either this idiotic continuing use of nuanced racism of blacks and Latinos stops, or I am not voting for your party any longer. I voted for the Republican Governor here in Michigan. I voted for the Republican candidate for President of the United States and I do not regret that vote. However, I will not continue to vote for your party, if all you people, who claim to support that party can do, is continue to belch forth nuanced or otherwise — racism towards minorities. It has to stop, and I have just about had enough of it for one lifetime.

I will make a full admission on this blog, right here and right now. I never really was a Republican or that hard of right wing Conservative. I am simply a thinking American, who happens to be a bit of independent politically. I am also someone who was opposed to the nomination of the Democratic Party’s nominee for President of the United States back in 2007. It had, and still does have nothing to do with his skin color. It had and still does have to do with the fact that the man was a full on hard leftist. To his credit, he is trying to run the Country as a centrist, but failing at it badly.

Therefore, I issue this dire warning to the Republican establishment types, to the conservative grassroots, to the so-called “conservative” blogosphere. Quit it with the racism — nuanced or otherwise. Because you know what — You are really starting to piss me the hell off. I have been known to mock and deride the White Nationalists on this blog. In fact, I have done so, on my old blog. If you think that, I will not start doing this to you all, think again. Furthermore, I will just say it: President Barack Obama is in his second term, he cannot be reelected again; much of what he hopes to accomplish, will be stopped by the house — if they do not impeach him first. The Democratic Party has nowhere to go from here, but back to the center. Otherwise, that party will go extinct.

If all of you, and you know who you all are — do not think that I will not bail back to the Democratic Party side of things. Think again. Hillary might run again, and I think I could live with her being President; she cannot do any worse than Obama. I love this Country, but I cannot sit here and overlook this sort of stuff much longer. There needs to be reform in the conservative movement and this is one of things that needs to be reformed and that is the nuanced racism on the right. It is sickening, it cheapens the movement and it makes us looks like idiots or worse.

In closing: I love my Country, and I hate what the Democrats in the Bill Clinton era did to it. I also hate what Barack Obama did to the Country as well. However, I hate equally hate what is happening in the Conservative movement right now. It sickens me to my core, as an American, as a Christian and as someone who wants to see the Republicans win in 2016. As Mitt Romney said, we can do better than this and the Conservative movement CAN do better! This nuenced racism towards minorites needs to stop! It is not funny, it is not Conservative, it is not Christian and it should not even be named in our movement at all!

The above is what I think, and I would like to know, what you think. Leave a comment, if you agree.

Homeboy?

Oh….my….word…. Doh

From the Weekly Standard:

Visiting victims of Hurricane Sandy in New Jersey today, Vice President Joe Biden told them not to worry, saying, "you’ve got a homeboy in the deal who gets it." Biden was referring to President Barack Obama.

From the pool report:

So as the president said when he was up here with the governor, we’re not going anywhere. We’re not not going anywhere. And you’ve got a homeboy in the deal who gets it."

Homeboy? What if a Republican had said something like that?

Of course, if this President keeps up this course, we’re all going to be singing this song here, with plenty of homeboys in it.

Maybe Because the Bush Administration did it too?

This is too funny.

Via The Daily Caller:

The House science committee is demanding the White House explain why top administration officials are using secret e-mail accounts and other techniques to conceal their taxpayer-paid activities from public oversight.

The evidence of officials’ efforts to evade transparency laws includes EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson’s use of the fake name “Richard Windsor”, and hidden e-mail accounts, according to a Nov. 16 letter sent by the committee to several White House officials, including Jackson.

The committee’s letters justified their startling statements with evidence published in The Daily Caller. The Caller’s report was based on an investigation by Chris Horner, a senior fellow at the Competitive Enterprise Institute and the author of a new book “The Liberal War on on Transparency.”

“The use of these [hidden] accounts could seriously impair records collection, preservation, and access, therefore compromising transparency and oversight,” said the letter, signed by committee chairman Rep. Ralph Hall.

Hmmmmmmmm…. ThinkingI dont know

I seem to remember another Party that did this, while they were in power in the White House and in the Justice Department.

Ah yes! It was the Republican Party! There was Attorney Generals who lost their jobs over it too.

I have to really honestly wonder; did Tucker Carlson report that little scandal as passionately then, as he is this one here?

I somehow highly doubt that to to be a fact.
