Special Comment: Why I am not removing my ads for Guns, Ammo, Gold or Knives

Update – March 17, 2013: I felt the need to update this, because I noticed someone looked for it or something. Gun, Knife, and Ammo ads are great; but when they are not paying. They are, in fact, a good waste of time and space. I did have, at the point of being annoying, a ton of gun, gold and ammo ads on here at one time. I still have an ammo ad. But the gold ads and the ads for the gun store, were not paying. My ad for goldsilver.com paid me one time. After that, I never did get anymore buys on that ad. So, I pulled everything for a time. I put the ammo ad back up, because I figured someone would buy something, maybe. To be quite honest, it never has paid anything at all. So, again, what I wrote below was written right after Sandy Hook and I still agree with it; but I did remove those ads, because of a lack of revenue.

This is one of those special comments, which I really did not ever think that I would actually have to write. However, seeing that common sense is a scarce commodity today, I feel the need to inform those who come here.

The shooting in Newtown CT happened; and I told the Republican Party and the Conservative movement, “When you all come back to reality, call me!”

Well, one would expect that I would shed my right-wing nut job image, and remove the ads for guns, knives, gold and silver; and become some sort of Prius driving, latte sipping, wire-rim glasses liberal Democrat who curses all forms of capitalism and bemoans the virtues of communism and the fact that America has not implemented them.

One would also expect that I would put ads for green energy, global trade and other such tripe that the Liberal left makes to be their pet cause.

One would be in grave disappointment, but that said person has not a damned clue what I am truly about. The truth is folks, I am somewhere in a very happy place, between a moderate Conservative and a blue-dog Democrat. I remember the old Democratic Party that I admire to this day, under President Franklin D. Roosevelt. This was when the Democratic Party was honestly worth a damn in my book.

It was that Democratic Party of old, which took the United States of America to war in 1941, after the empire of Japan, struck us at Pearl Harbor. In addition, the Democratic Party of 1945 was victorious in Germany with the defeat of the Nazis, and with the empire of Japan. America was a great Nation then. We build everything here, men were men, and boys were boys — women did not rule their men. People went to Church on Sunday and respected the Word of God. It was a different era and one that I greatly miss.

The reason why I am not removing those ads is quite simply this: Those ads of mine have not a damned thing to do with that shooting up in Newtown, CT. The only persons that have anything remotely to do with those shooting, is the shooter himself and the shooter’s mother, who had zero business having any sort of firepower near her mentally ill son.

I hate to disappoint my liberal friends, who do read here, but I am an unrepentant capitalist, and I shall be until the day that I take my last breath. Blaming me or anyone else who has gun ads on their blog is a simple-minded exercise in idiocy. Furthermore, blaming people like NRA and other gun advocacy groups is also idiotic at best.

Blaming groups like that, would be blaming food manufactures and farmers for obesity! Do the farmers put the food in your mouth? Do the food makers put the food in your mouth? No! You do, it is called personal responsibility! How idiotic is it for someone to blame a gun, which is quite honestly a tool of self-defense; for the actions of a mentally deranged person, whose Mother was too irresponsible to put away her guns and keep them away from her son. Anyone with any sort of semblance of common sense would know this. My question is, what is the modern-day liberal Democrat’s problem them?

This is my entire problem with the Democratic Party of today. They steadfastly refuse to embrace the idea of personal responsibility. They want to blame everyone and everything else, but the people who commit crimes; tot to mention that they want to involve everyone else to raise their idiotic bratty children! It does not take village people it takes responsible parents. This is also something that is also lacking today as well, not only in the Democratic Party and in its base — But also in America in general.

To be fair the Republicans are not much better, they are sitting around idly and allowing America to drive over a fiscal cliff, something that America was honestly talking about, before this deranged nut-ball killed these people. Not to mention that John Boehner is selling Conservative fiscal values up the river. They do not mind selling organized labor up the river, but they will allow America to be in debt to China for the rest of eternity. Funny how those politicos work, is it not?

In closing: I am not removing my ads for guns and removing the chance that I might just make a bit of money on my blog. All so some tree-hugging far leftist can feel about the fact that I am contributing to the death of someone, because some deranged idiot happened to have bought a gun from the dealers, of which I have an affiliation.

Furthermore, I am not removing my ads for Gold and Silver, and other such metals, so that some idiotic far leftist liberal happens to be under the delusion that President Obama’s and the current Republican leadership’s form of economics is perfectly fine can feel good about himself.

I might not be very happy with the current state of the Conservative movement as a whole, and I might not be happen with the current Governor of Michigan, and I might not be too pleased with the Republican Party of Michigan and the national party —- but I am not a fool — not now, not ever. Just because I question actions, does not mean I have lost my mind — unlike the Democratic Party since about the time of President Johnson.

Okay now, Listen: I admit it, after Governor Snyder’s little slime-ball move in lying to people like me, I have been on the outs with the Conservative movement and the Republican Party. But this stuff above is just uncalled for. If this is the left’s idea of impressing independents; you all have long way to go get my friends. Wishing death on people is no way to get your message across. Furthermore, repealing the second amendment? Are you people serious?!?! Here is a dose of reality for you, it will never happen. Not in America. This is not Britain, we will always have guns here. Now deal with it and move on.

Not only that, but how about mustering up some of the outrage towards the killer’s Mother, who was the one who bought the weapons, knowing full darned well that her son was mentally ill? She is the one to blame really, the young man who pulled the trigger is ultimately the person who carries the blame. But the Mother of the trigger man shares that blame too.

There is a lesson to be learned here

I will get to that in a second, but first the story:

His mother, Nancy, collected them. She showed them off to her landscaper.

“Guns were her hobby,” said Dan Holmes, the landscaper of Nancy Lanza’s sprawling yard here on the edge of town. “She told me she liked the single-mindedness of shooting.”

Holmes said she even spoke of taking her son to the firing range to practice his aim.

As details of her son’s troubled life trickled out Saturday, the day after he gunned down 20 children and six adults at Sandy Hook Elementary School and his mother at their home, the portrait emerging is one of a detached killer who knew his way around a trigger and of a family that feared outsiders in the home.

Holmes said Nancy Lanza, who was divorced and had reportedly worked in finance, never invited him inside. She would pay him in the yard. The landscaper never laid eyes on Adam Lanza, a skinny, withdrawn, socially awkward 20-year-old who excelled in academics but apparently not in forming deep friendships.

“I would ring the bell on the front door, and she would come out the side and meet me,” he said. “It was a little weird. It’s stranger now thinking back on what happened.”

When she wanted to show Holmes an antique rifle, she proudly brought the gun — in its case — outside. How many guns Nancy had is not clear, though authorities say several were registered to her, including the ones used in the massacre.

Her former sister-in law, Marsha Lanza, told the Chicago Sun-Times outside her home in Crystal Lake, Ill., that Nancy Lanza wanted guns for protection. “She prepared for the worst,” Marsha Lanza told the newspaper. “I didn’t know that they [the guns] would be used on her.”

The lesson is this; if you have a mentally ill relative, do not have guns where that said person can get to them. Obviously this guy had issues and obviously he had access to the guns; and that was a problem. One thing I will say, someone posted a interesting piece about her son, and she was unsure if he had ADD or not.

Well, I can tell you from personal experience; that is not ADD or ADHD. I have ADHD and I take medication for it and I have never done anything like what she wrote at all. If I did, my Mother would have given me over to the state a long time ago. Honestly, it sounded like he had some sort of serious temper related illness, not mention being a bit rebellious. I am not expert in that area, but I can tell you that I never did any of that sort of nonsense.

ADHD is simply a learning disorder that affect different people different ways. With me, it is  Math. I can do English rather well, diagramming sentences rather well — well, I used to, when I was a kid anyhow! — but, math? I sucked at it. I could plus and minus with the best of them. But when it came time for the times tables and division, I just could not grasp that at all. Because of this, I had to quit school when I turned 18. I just could not go any further.

The ADHD runs in my family, I get it from my Father’s side of the family. Like I said, it affects different people different ways. My Dad, his brother and my cousin all cannot read very well at all. This is how the ADHD affected them. My cousin, who does have ADHD, but does not take medication for it, is just opposite of me. He does not read very well, but Math? He is excellent at it. He also, unlike me, talks a mile a minute. Yackity-yack-yack-yack. I love him to death, but man can he talk your ear off. He also tends to be a bit bossy. I do the same thing. I think that’s the ADHD, or just a personality trait of the family.

Again, it is a tragic thing that these kids and adults died in Newtown, CT. But the only person to blame in this situation, is the shooters Mom. She should have never had that kind of firepower in the house with a son in this sort of shape. It was negligence on her person and no one else’s. Also too, to all the liberals who are going to read this. The guns were legally purchased by the shooters Mother. She is the one to blame here, not the guns themselves. No amount of law could have stopped this from happening at all.  It is simple-minded to think otherwise.

Clicksor ads are GONE!

Just some housekeeping for my readers.

I had this brilliant idea of bringing on some new ads on here, so that I could have another revenue stream. So, I checked out this company called clicksor. Anyhow, the first I noticed is that there were full-page ads and pop-under ads; which I am no fan of at all. Then, I noticed that I had to manually disable them in the code. Which really had me ready to punch the laptop. I was able to do it though.

Anyhow, even after all that, the silly ads were STILL causing my virus software to go off and tell me that Malware was trying to attack my browser. Anyhow, When it comes to that sort of stuff; that being viruses, malware and such, I don’t take any chances. I got burned once with a virus; and ever since then I have been hyper careful about that stuff.

So, the extra ad at the top and the one at the bottom on the single post page are both history. I like money, but not at the cost of possibly planting malware on someone’s machine or laptop. Including mine! 😯

Now, the ad at the top, in the right sidebar is from another company and it works fine. Same goes with the amazon bar at the top.

Just thought I would tell everyone what the heck was going on around this place. 😀

 

I am seeing a pattern here

Call me paranoid, call me whatever you want to call me; But I am seeing a pattern here.

  • Upper Middle Class
  • White
  • Mentally unstable
  • Armed to the tooth

Cases in point:

Jared Loughner – Arizona- White – Upper Middle Class family – Nuttier than a snickers bar – Armed to the tooth. Shot Congresswoman Gabby Giffords
James Eagan Holmes – White – Colorado – Used his money from school to stockpile weapons – mental conditions galore

….and now this dude.

Adam Lanza – Connecticut – Lived with a mother who was getting $298,800 from her husband whom she divorced. – White – Armed to the tooth

The New York Daily News gives us the details:

He was dark and disturbed, a deeply troubled boy from a wealthy family who unnerved his neighbors and classmates.

Mass murderer Adam Lanza, 20, was a ticking time bomb, people who knew him told the Daily News.

“This was a deeply disturbed kid,” a family insider told the Daily News. “He certainly had major issues. He was subject to outbursts from what I recall.”

Lanza, who friends and officials said suffered from Asperger’s syndrome or a personality disorder, had a tortured mind.

He was socially awkward and at times unstable, but also extraordinarily bright.

“He was smart,” the insider said. “He was like one of these real brainiac computer kind of kids.”

A “longtime” family friend said Lanza had a condition “where he couldn’t feel pain.”

“A few years ago when he was on the baseball team, everyone had to be careful that he didn’t fall because he could get hurt and not feel it,” said the friend. “Adam had a lot of mental problems.”

And he lived in luxury.

Lanza was living with his devoted mother, Nancy, in the family’s four-bedroom, 3,100-square-foot estate.
Nancy Lanza divorced Adam’s father, Peter, in 2008. Peter Lanza, now a vice president of taxes for GE Energy Financial Services, agreed to annual alimony payments that started at $240,000 and would have reached $298,800 in 2015.

Here’s my point. You don’t see mass shootings like this happening in southwest Detroit. You do not see them happening in the black neighborhoods in Detroit, Chicago, or anywhere else. It is always in the upper middle class white neighborhoods. This seems to be a pattern.

The question is, why? No, I am not going all Alex Jones and start wearing the tin-foil hat; but somethings up. Why all of a sudden are these white kids, with a bit of money and a lot of guns and an elevator that does not make it past the ground floor; all of a sudden wigging out, getting guns and killing people?

As for me, yes, I am a white guy, and no, I do not own any guns. I believe in the second amendment and yes, I would like to own one for personal protection. But, this here is what this kid owned and the prices:

Now, you would not see me running around with a Bushmaster .223 for nothing. I want to protect myself, not start a war! See what them guns are going for? Not everyone can afford a gun like that. People like myself, who are either unemployed or barely making enough to get by on; would not be owning guns like this here. They would be lucky to own any guns at all. In other words, guns are not cheap.

My point is this; why are all of a sudden all of this mentally unstable rich white kids getting guns and going on a nut and shooting people? If I were Alex Jones, or some paranoid Conservative, I would say it was Barack Obama on concert with his secret Muslim brothers to try to overthrow the world for sharia law or something like that.

But, I am not. I am just wondering — why this, why all of a sudden?

Michelle Bachmann is keeping a low profile

WASHINGTON — Rep. Michele Bachmann has built her political career by being outspoken. It has helped her raise tens of millions of dollars and go from obscure back bencher to presidential candidate in three terms.

In the six weeks since the election, Congress has been wrapped up with the series of automatic spending cuts and tax hikes known as the fiscal cliff, Bachmann has gone almost completely silent.

She squeaked back into office last month with a margin of 1 percent in Minnesota’s most Republican congressional district, and ever since has not been on Fox News or the Sunday talk shows.

Bachmann gave one interview recently to “Understanding the Times,” a Maple Grove, Minn.-based Christian radio show that specializes in biblical end of the world prophecies. On the show, Bachmann claimed a cabal of Muslim countries was working with the Obama administration to squash free speech rights around the world.

Bachmann has limited her comments on the fiscal cliff to a few tweets and a handful of postings on her Facebook page.

The woman is a conspiracy theory kook. So much of one, that Michelle Malkin, of all people — had to call her out on her screwball stupidity on the Gardasil nonsense. The woman straight up LIED in the debate about some woman coming up to her and being in tears about telling her about her daughter supposedly being turned into a mental retard because of it or something. Which is something that Republicans are very good at today; lying.  The problem is, it never happened, at all. The video footage was reviewed and she lied about it.

Which is the crux of why I cannot stand people like her: Christians, who believe that lying for a good cause is just perfectly fine. Which is so typical of the squishy evangelical Christian world. “We believe in Jesus, but we think it’s okay to lie and drink a little wine, listen to Elvis and wear our skirts above the knee, even though we are married. Did I also mention that we can pray the faggot away too?” In other words: Pat Boone in a skirt.

Let’s not even get into the stupidity that she pulled recently with Hillary’s personal assistant. That little stunt was so bad that even the Republican leadership told the stupid woman to shut her pie hole or else. Yes, she was that bad and yes, that damned dumb.

So, as far as this independent political blogger is concerned, the longer this space case of a femi-nazi twit stays on the down low, the better. I surly will not shed a tear about it and I highly doubt the Republican leadership will either.

Rod Dreher puts in it all perspective

I don’t tear up much, but this one, had me really close. 🙁 😥

I just finished evening prayers with my three children. We prayed together in Lucas and Nora’s room, because they had been up late, me reading “The Hobbit” to them, and they were too sleepy and cranky to stand in the den in front of the icons, as we usually do. So prayer-time tonight was also tucking-in, kiss-me-goodnight-Daddy time.

It occurred to me as we stood there in the dim glow of the bedroom, the two little ones snug in their beds, that mothers and fathers in Newtown had tucked their little ones in last night, and had never imagined what the next day would bring.

How not to respond to a gun tragedy involving kids

27 or more people have been murdered, including 18 defenseless children, in a Connecticut elementary school.

Larry Pratt, executive director of Gun Owners of America, responded to the tragedy saying, “Gun control supporters have the blood of little children on their hands. Federal and state laws combined to insure that no teacher, no administrator, no adult had a gun at the Newtown school where the children were murdered. This tragedy underscores the urgency of getting rid of gun bans in school zones. The only thing accomplished by gun free zones is to insure that mass murderers can slay more before they are finally confronted by someone with a gun.”

Gun Owners of America urges state and federal lawmakers to overturn bans on guns in schools immediately.
