Oh Yeah, There was another Primary today….

Hillary Won Kentucky, Obama will win Oregon.

Obama will get enough delegates to secure the nomination and Hillary will fight to the convention.

Obama is speaking now in Iowa, he is always into general election mode. Many are saying she’ll drop out come June.

We shall see.

Somewhere, Juan McSame is smiling….

Anyhow, I’m done for the night, flipping tired… See you all tomorrow…

The Article: Hamilton Jordan, Former Carter Strategist And Aide, Dies (via insideradvantagegeorgia.com)

Hamilton Jordan, the former top strategist and aide to Jimmy Carter, died Tuesday night after a long battle with cancer.

Friends said death came at around 7:30 p.m. and that he was comfortable and surrounded by friends. His son, Hamilton, Jr., return from Europe in time to be with his father.

The family plans a service which will likely be on Friday afternoon at The Carter Center. Details to follow in a day or two.

He was 63 years old.

Jordan was a key advisor and strategist for Carter during the 1976 presidential campaign and during Carter’s administration. He was White House Chief of Staff in 1979-1980.

In 1986, he ran for the Democratic nomination for the U.S. Senate, losing to Wyche Fowler who went on to win the general election and held the seat for one term.

In 1992, he worked on the campaign of independent candidate H. Ross Perot and has been an advocate for Unity08, a political movement focused on reforming the American two party system.

He had battled two types of cancer. He and his wife founded a camp for children with cancer.

MSNBC announced this just now, and this is the first article I found about it, at Google news.

May he Rest In Peace.

Sen. Kennedy has malignant brain tumor

This is most likely the most sad thing that I have had to blog about, since I started back in February 2007. Senator Ted Kennedy is one of the "Godfathers" of the Democrat Party and the Democratic Senate.

The Article: Doctors say Sen. Kennedy has malignant brain tumor (Via AP/Yahoo! News)

A cancerous brain tumor caused the seizure Sen. Edward M. Kennedy suffered over the weekend, doctors said Tuesday in a grim diagnosis for one of American politics’ most enduring figures.

"He remains in good spirits and full of energy," the doctors for the 76-year-old Massachusetts Democrat said in a statement.

They said tests conducted after the seizure showed a tumor in Kennedy’s left parietal lobe. Preliminary results from a biopsy of the brain identified the cause of the seizure as a malignant glioma, they said.

His treatment will be decided after more tests but the usual course includes combinations of radiation and chemotherapy.

What can one say? For the most part, the Blogosphere has been civil about this, there are a few exceptions, I will not bother linking to the idiots, they’re not worth my time and worth a waste of my bandwidth.

It does seem that people are killing him off, I wish they would stop! Give the man a fighting chance! Let him fight this thing! A tumor is no longer a death sentence.

One thing that is pissing me off about this whole thing, is the idiots who keep bringing up Chappaquiddick, for God sakes people, that was 39 years ago. How immature, idiotic and ignorant can people be?  The man was never indicted, at all. Anyone who dares to bring this up, is simply acting like a partisan jerk and political hack.

Politics is one thing, humanity is another, I and my very democrat family, wish Senator Kennedy all the best, and we pray for a speedy recovery.

Fight it, Ted, Fight like bloody hell and please, do not stop fighting!

Update: I know I said I wouldn’t do it, but this stuff needs to be exposed. Seems the ugliness of the Blogosphere has come out. Both on the Right and Left. I mean, can’t these blog owners control the comments on their Blogs any better than this? It’s absolutely sickening…

NewsMax Reports: Former NY Mayor Ed Koch says…."I May Back McCain"

I normally do not make a habit of blogging anything from this news source, because NewsMax is not really known for reporting factual information, as a rule. However, this report warrants a Blog posting…

The Article: Koch: I May Back McCain (Via Newsmax.com)

Former New York City Mayor Edward Koch, one of the country’s most prominent Democrats, says he may cross over and back Republican Sen. John McCain for president.

In an exclusive Newsmax interview, Koch says McCain “has no equal” when it comes to opposing Islamic terrorism. Though Koch says he disagrees with most of McCain’s positions on domestic issues, he could support him because of his strong national security credentials.

Koch carries significant weight with many Jewish Democrats in New York and across the country. He also has a history of playing the maverick and crossing party lines.

The only reason I gave the green light on this Blog posting is because Koch has a Column over on NewsMax. Recently he has posted on NewsMax, that he does not trust Obama on National Security Issues.

I just wonder, what, if any, effect will this have on Obama’s ability to get elected, will this cause any shake up in the super-delegate count? Will this affect the surge in Super-delegates?

I just wonder, if this means that the Reagan Democrats are just not being won over by Obama and his slick speeches?

Keith Olbermann defends himself

It was in my opinion the apology and correction that Keith Olbermann did not have to give. However, in hindsight it mostly likely best that he did.

Last Wednesday Keith Olbermann gave, what I felt was the best Special Comment, that he has given, since I have been watching his show.

It seems however, that a use of a few words that were not edited well enough by Keith caused a major dust up within the Right Wing world.

I first saw this story today over on HotAir.com. “Allah Pundit”, one of the more sane writers within the Right Wing Blogging world, and believe me, that is saying quite a bit, gave Keith the benefit of the doubt, as did myself. However, it seems that some of the bedwetting, knee jerk, and Kool-Aid drinkers in out midst came unglued and began accusing Keith Olbermann of insulting our troops.

Many people have e-mailed me and wondered, sometimes with great vulgarity, why I even bother to include Keith’s segments on this Blog, since I am a Constitutionalist and Libertarian. Ladies and Gentleman, I will answer this question as best I possibly can.

Because I Love America, and yes, as much as it is hard for the Kool-Aid drinking right wing fascists to believe, So does Keith Olbermann. No, I do not agree with all of Keith Olbermann’s Political Positions, but I do agree with Keith Olbermann on one main point, this war in Iraq was one of the biggest mistakes that this country ever made, I make no apologies for that feeling. There were never, ever, ANY operational ties with Iraq and Al-Qaeda, Ever.

Anyone who believes anything other than that, is listening to, and believing the ignorant spin and lies of this fascist Presidential Administration, or are still drinking the poisonous “Kool-Aid”, of this Presidential Administration and the political party that he represents, Which by the way has not stood for the classic conservatives, which I grew up admiring as a child. Rather a toxic form of Conservatism called “Neo-Conservatism.”

As much as I would like to believe that Keith Olbermann would see this, I highly doubt it, but I will just say this, anyhow. Keith, you did a good job, once again, silencing the right wing morons, who seem to think that they, and they alone hold court of true patriotism in America.

Keep up the good work.

Ouch!

The Obamasssiah says "Lay off my wife"

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah! Crying

The Article: Obama Warns GOP ‘Lay Off My Wife’ (Via ABCNEWS)

The Republicans seem to have come to the same conclusion and a GOP Internet campaign in Tennessee has an ad featuring Michelle Obama’s comments during the long Democratic campaign that "for the first time in my adult life, I am proud of my country."

Michelle Obama was asked about the ad on "GMA," but her husband said, "Let me just interject on this."

"The GOP, should I be the nominee, I think can say whatever they want to say about me, my track record," Obama said. "I’ve been in public life for 20 years. I expect them to pore through everything that I’ve said, every utterance, every statement. And to paint it in the most undesirable light possible. That’s what they do."

"But I do want to say this to the GOP. If they think that they’re going to try to make Michelle an issue in this campaign, they should be careful. Because that I find unacceptable," he said.

Obama praised his wife’s patriotism and said that for Republicans "to try to distort or to play snippets of her remarks in ways that are unflattering to her I think is just low class … and especially for people who purport to be promoters of family values, who claim that they are protectors of the values and ideals and the decency of the American people to start attacking my wife in a political campaign I think is detestable."

Here’s a wake up call for you, Barry.

You don’t like your BITCH being talked about, then keep your damn BITCH at home! Angry

When are people going to wake up and see what this Marxist tool for what he really is?

75,000 people flock to see Barack Obama in Oregon

That is, I must say, absolutely amazing.

Via MSNBC:

Per the Obama campaign, 75,000 people (60,000 in the gates and 15,000 outside of them) turned out in Portland to hear Obama speak there this afternoon — making it the largest Obama crowd to date.

Duane Bray, the battalion chief with Portland Fire and Rescue, validated that crowd estimate, the campaign says.

*** UPDATE *** Here’s the dispatch from NBC/NJ’s Athena Jones… Some 75,000 people flocked to Portland’s waterfront Sunday to watch Barack Obama speak, making it the biggest rally the campaign has held to date. Thousands stood on the lawn, dozens watched from boats and from the bridge stretching across the Willamette River. A few kayakers held their paddles and tried to keep their kayaks straight as they watched the candidate, who stood on a makeshift platform.

That’s amazing, and this is just the primary. Unbelievable. Here’s some pics:

There’s more pictures over at Flickr. Amazing stuff.

There’s just no way that John McCain can bring that sort of a crowd… It just cannot happen. I must admit, as much as I disagree with some, but not all, of his politics, I am quite impressed with his ability to draw a crowd.

I don’t think that I’ve seen anything like that, on the Conservative side since Ronald Reagan. I believe that people just want change, and they see Barack Obama as the last great hope for America. I just hope he can deliver.

If this is any indication of what the General election is going to be like, I suspect there’s going to be a handy defeat, and it is not going to be the Democrats.

Update: Crunchy Con says it’s the GOP’s fault.
