This right here is why the GOP should fight Hillary tooth and nail come 2016

I saw this over at Hotair.com and honestly, I was gobsmacked. 😯 If the GOP does not fight this crazy woman tooth and nail from now until 2016; and we lose this next election, there are going to be some seriously pissed off people in America. Namely, Gun owners.

This quote comes from Time Magazine, and comes via Mary Katharine Ham — this is Hillary Clinton describing her opponents:

We cannot let a minority of people, and that’s what it is, it is a minority of people, hold a viewpoint that terrorizes the majority of people,” Clinton said during a live CNN town hall.

Wow…. just…wow. MKH over at HotAir.com breaks this down in a big way, and I might be excessively quoting here a bit…; but, my friends, this one is warranted in a big way:

“We,” said the aspiring head of the federal government,
“cannot let”—As in, “allow.” What remedy, pray tell, does she have in mind for this outrageous epidemic in free thought?
“a minority of people”—The minority, the protection of whose rights Thomas Jefferson called a “sacred principle” in his First Inaugural Address and whose endangerment at the hands of a tyrannical majority James Madison called the Republic’s “great danger?”
“and that’s what it is, it is a minority of people”— Regardless of the truth of this dubious assertion, she seems to repeat it to justify her advocacy for the prohibition of the minority’s dissent, which makes it sound like someone never glanced at a Founding document. “Screw ‘em, majority rules,” the working draft of the Constitution proclaimed.
“hold a viewpoint that terrorizes the majority.”— Let me see if I can rephrase the idea of a “viewpoint that terrorizes the majority” in such a way that a longtime Democratic politician might understand it. There’s an old adage originally used to describe journalism and oft repeated by the activist Left to give itself airs— “comfort the afflicted and afflict the comfortable.”

Hillary Clinton and liberal activists are the comfortable. They require a “safe place” where the presence of others who deign to disagree cannot “trigger” them. Your mere opposition to an asinine limit on mag capacity, which was a demonstrable disaster in incompetent governance in her home state of New York, rises to the level of “terrorizing” for a woman who famously couldn’t figure out if that term applied to anyone involved in Benghazi. But for you, law-abiding citizen, not a problem.

Much of the Left desires that criticisms of gun control policies be banished from the public square. Espousing them is abetting child murder, in their eyes, no matter how much evidence or what arguments Second Amendment activists marshal. Hearing this argument from fellow citizens who call themselves liberal is disappointing.

Hearing it from a potential presidential candidate is creepy. Especially one who’d be taking the reins from an administration that flagrantly uses the power of the federal government to get people it doesn’t like to stop saying things of which it does not approve.

Hopefully, the guys over at HotAir do not mind me quoting that one to death. My friends, let me blunt here; this is not your boilerplate blue-collar Democrat party stuff, not at least from where I sit. This is actually neoliberal Marxism. This is right in line with communist repression of freedom of thought. This is the kind of stuff that turned me against the left. My jaw almost hit the floor when I saw this one. 😯

This right here, should be used by the GOP against Hillary should she decide to run. They should not give her a pass on this one at all. This is anti-Americanism at its most lethal form. This is the same mentality that pushed Bill Clinton to tell Janet Reno to send the tanks in at Waco many years ago. That somehow those that disagree with you are somehow a threat. This stuff is quite scary; and can have some dangerous fallout to those who happen to support their first and second amendment rights.

I always knew that the Clinton’s were pretty brutal, when it came to politics; just did not think that they were this brutal. I think it goes without saying that, at this point, I am not ready for Hillary; and if the rest of the America has any sense, neither will they be either.

Progressive blogger not too enthralled with the idea of Hillary running for President

Please note: I am not writing this, as a conservative blogger going, “nah nah nah nah boo boo!” But, rather as someone who once voted for Bill Clinton; and voted Democrat in 2000 and 2004.

I guess we are actually seeing some Clinton fatigue.

This was written over at Balloon Juice, whose owner was, at one point, a Republican, but now is a full on progressive, I guess:

I understand it is not her fault, but I would do anything to not see Hillary run in 2016. If it turns out she is the best candidate and has the best chance to keep the White House out of Republican hands, I will crawl over glass to vote for her and do everything in my power to get her elected.

But I just don’t know if I can take it anymore. She was such an awful candidate in 2008 and continuously surrounds herself with questionable people, and fuck it. Let’s be honest. I quit listening to Blues Traveler around the same time I quit drinking jaegermeister, and I just want all three of them to go away

[…]

I know this is what the GOP wants, but I can not do another round of Vince Foster or Benghazi or whatever. I just can’t. And the whole dynastic thing drives me crazy. I just can’t take any more Bush or Clinton candidates. People in America (well, those who pay attention) were shocked with the notion of the PRI holding power in Mexico for 71 years, but how many decades have we had a Nixon, Bush, Clinton, or Dole in the running? It’s just weird.

And yes, I remember that Hillary embodied the hopes of feminists everywhere, but is she really the only female Democrat out there who can win? What about Gillibrand? Does it have to be Hillary?

I remember thinking the same thing back in 2007, when the primaries started. “Why her?” was my exact thought. This was about the time that Obama shot forward in the primaries and for a little while, I thought to myself “You know, I think it is about time that we did have a black man as President.” This is when the Rev. Wright stuff came out; and Obama lost me. Now, before anyone accuses me of swallowing the Fox News propaganda — let me say this: I have seen that complete and unedited sermon that Wright preached, like 2 days after 9/11. I watched the entire 9/11 unfold, on TV — on CNN no less. CNN, at the time, was about all I ever watched at the time, when it came to cable news. There was no way in heck, that I was going to vote for someone, who’s Pastor essentially said that America had 9/11 coming to it. Just. no. way.

Anyhow, when it comes to Hillary. I honestly do not believe that she will run. She has too much baggage from her days as Secretary of State. Plus too, all of her baggage from her days as First Lady. Hillary’s no dummy, she knows better. She’s committed to the cause. But, she’s no fool. She will endorse someone else and work to get them elected.

Just my opinion.

Audio: Actor Tom Sizemore tells how Bill Clinton banged British supermodel Elizabeth Hurley

Now this is quite interesting!

Hurley however says:

(Via Radar Online)

Sorry — accusing the President of United States of America of being high on cocaine is just WRONG!

First of all, before I get into this little story, let me remind everyone; for the purpose of informing the drive-by readers, that I am not an Obama supporter at all. I voted for Mitt Romney and I have repeatedly criticized this President before he was elected and after he was elected.  However, I did have him the benefit of the doubt on Benghazi, and I also rescinded that, once all the scandals came out.

However, the following that I am about report about, made even this Obama critic want to retch when I saw this idiotic conspiracy theory, which is solely based in old school Democratic Party racism; dressed up a legitimate political speculation.

Please, feast your eyes on this disgusting piece of racist bile, by a one Kevin DuJan — a Homosexual Hillary Clinton Supporter: (H/T to Little Green Footballs)

Yesterday, Rich Lowry at Politico wrote about “The Mystery Night” on September 11th, 2012 when the current US President disappeared for many hours and was seemingly unavailable…despite the fact that the first US Ambassador in 30 years had been murdered in the line of duty.  Lowry wonders where Barack Obama disappeared to that fateful night…and why White House aide Dan Pfeiffer insists it’s “irrelevant” where Obama was in those missing hours.

If you’ve ever known anyone who is a drug addict, you’d see it’s obvious that Barack Obama was high on cocaine the night of Benghazi; it is the only logical explanation for his disappearance and the White House’s refusal to comment on what he was doing at the time.  Since this was a night of great crisis for our country, the only logical reason that the White House won’t explain where the president was is if this man was high as a kite on illegal narcotics at the time.

Lowry did a great job in his article fleshing out the last time Obama was seen on September 11th of last year…and then noting when he reappeared again the next day, briefly, before jetting off to fabulous Las Vegas for a fun-and-games fundraiser event he had scheduled there (where, it also should be noted, not only Chippendales but also Thunder From Down Under male revues are regularly held…which certainly establishes the appeal of heading to Las Vegas instead of managing a national crisis back in Washington for this particular president).

The sick and sad part? This actually was linked to and written about, by some deranged far right loon, who writes at the Examiner.com.

For the record, Kevin DuJan is a Hillary Clinton supporter, who was one of the many who was fanning the flames of the idiotic conspiracy theories of the President not being an american citizen. The Hillary campaign were the ones who discovered this story; on, of all places, a White Nationalist website. After this, some so-called “Conservative” websites began, without attribution — copying this story, nearly word for word. This idiotic theory about Obama being a cokehead, and the basis for this libel was started by a one Larry Sinclair, who is, for lack of a better word, a thug criminal, with a questionable past.

Larry Sinclair is also a Homosexual, who is friends with, and used to broadcast his radio show on Jeff Rense’s network. Jeff Rense is a notorious Anti-Semite. I happen to know about all of this, because I happened to be blogging about of this, when it originally broke back in 2007 on my old blog — feel free to check the archives for yourselves.

The point of this, is not to defend the President of the United States, as much as it is to expose these two-bit, racist and anti-Semites for what they truly are —- hate mongers. It is a tragic sad shame that the Democratic Party is still the home of scum-sucking hate mongers like these people. This is why Hillary lost, not because she was not qualified to do the job; but because of the racial bigotry that she became “chummy” with during the 2008 election. It was a sick and sad ending to the new left that might have been able to fix the damage of the Neocons who were in power. Instead, because of the idiotic missteps of the Hillary campaign, such this here —- the new left was defeated.

Now let me be clear on something here. This is not my attempt at Frankfort School PC nonsense. This is the real deal, old bigotry that did, in fact, raise its head during the election. I was there, I saw it and yes, I wrote about it at the time. I am not a fan of the PC nonsense at all. But, as a Christian and as a someone who thinks that this brand of hate; although, I have been accused of it, by people with an agenda —- is simply immoral and wrong. Period.  Furthermore, I will call these people out and expose them for what they are, no matter what the cost it is to me as a writer and blogger.

….and that…..is all.

piss poor defense on Benghazi

You want to know just how damned piss poorly the Democrats and the left are defending their people on the accusations of the Republicans on the Benghazi issue?

Then look no further than here.

If that is the best thing that the left can do; they are so seriously screwed. 🙄

I have seen my share of lame stuff in my day; and I have been blogging politics since 2006 — but this one takes the cake.

You must be kidding…..seriously, you must be freaking kidding me. 😡 Damned idiots.

Hillary Clinton goes on speaking tour

I would say that this is a sign that she is not running in 2016. But, these days, who knows? She could be doing the speaking tour to warm up for a political run in 2016.

EXCLUSIVE: Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will hit the paid speaking circuit this spring (likely April or May) and has selected the Harry Walker Agency, which represents President Clinton, as her agent. Industry officials expect that she will be one of the highest paid speakers in the history of the circuit, with fees well into the six figures in the United States and abroad.  Secretary Clinton will likely do some speeches for no fee for causes she champions, and expects to occasionally donate her fees for charitable purposes. Clinton, who will maintain her homes in Washington and Chappaqua, is also beginning to make decisions about the book she has said she will write, an account of her four years as secretary of State. Non-profit work will be another component of her new life, perhaps through her husband’s foundation or one of her own. — HILLARY CLINTON UNVEILS FIRST PHASE OF NEW LIFE -POLITICO.com

Either way, I wish her the best. I think it would be interesting to see Hillary Clinton and a Republican woman run for President. It would make for some interesting debates, especially on Abortion. If anything at all, it would be fun to see who could out-harpy the other. You know, two feminists, screaming at each other as to whom was the more self-important. It would, if anything, make for some very funny TV.

Just my opinion.

Believe it or not, Hillary might actually be telling the truth

I am, of course, talking about the story below:

“With all due respect, the fact is we had four dead Americans,” Clinton responded, raising her voice at Johnson, who continued to interrupt her. “Was it because of a protest or was it because of guys out for a walk last night who decided to kill some Americans? What difference at this point does it make? It is our job to figure out what happened and do everything we can to prevent it from ever happening again, Senator.” Clinton continued, defending the State Department’s efforts in the wake of the assault. “Honestly, I will do my best to answer your questions about this, but the fact is people were trying their best in real time to get to the best information,” she said. — via Hillary Clinton, Ron Johnson Engage In Heated Exchange At Benghazi Hearing (VIDEO)

I will not bother posting the video, as I saw it and the Rand Paul video. Now there is a chance that Hillary might actually be telling the truth about her knoweldge about Libya. The reason I say this is because it is now very well known that President Bush was totally out of the loop on the situtation in Iraq until it was much too late for him to really do anything about it. I mean, Bush was out of loop in 2006 very badly, as his lower in command did not want him to be upset about the outbreak of violence there.

I know it sounds crazy, but, the ol’ gal might be actually being truthful here. Now, as for her statement of, “What does it matter?” Oh, that is not going to play well for her, if she decided to run for President. Because you have to know that the Republicans and yes, maybe even the Democrats will play that one against here. All it would take is a well-funded Democrat who is a bit of a blue dog to play that for all it is worth.

What is sad though, is that the right is turning the Libya thing into a partisan witch hunt; and that is sad for the familes of those killed on that fateful day.

Memeorandum roundup here.

I am no fan of Hillary Clinton really, but this is lame

It really is:

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was set to face a grilling from Congress this week over the terrorist attacks in Benghazi when she started channeling the late poet Shel Silverstein.

“I have the measles and the mumps / A gash, a rash and purple bumps,” said Clinton, in effect, informing the House and Senate (with regrets!) that she was suffering too many maladies to testify as expected about the Sept. 11 attack in Libya.

America’s top diplomat was to provide her first public answers regarding the murder of US Ambassador Chris Stevens.

Now that won’t happen.

Clinton’s story beggars belief: While traveling in Europe, she contracted a stomach virus . . . which made her dehydrated . . . which made her faint at home . . . which caused her to fall and hit her head . . . which gave her a nasty concussion.

So Clinton’s deputies will appear in her stead before the House Foreign Affairs Committee and the Senate Foreign Relations Committee on Thursday to explain the State Department’s failures.

That is not nearly enough.

via Hillary Clinton’s fishy concussion—Editorial – NYPOST.com.

So basically the New York Post is accusing Hillary of lying about her injury. As I said in the title. I am no fan of her at all. But this is totally lame, but not out of line with the idiot right. (As opposed to the old honorable right.)

Is Obama going to toss Hillary under the bus?

I personally do not buy it. But that is what they are saying.

Powerline Blog reports the following:

Former President Clinton has been working overtime to drag Barack Obama across the finish line in this year’s election. Clinton has been hands-down President Obama’s most effective advocate. His personal credibility may not be substantial, but unlike Obama, Clinton produced a non-disastrous presidency. Thus, his overall credibility vastly exceeds that of the current president.

So how is Obama awarding Clinton for his heavy lifting? By throwing Clinton’s wife under the Benghazi bus, it appears. On Friday, White House spokesman Jay Carney told reporters that responsibility for the consulate in Libya fell on the State Department, not the White House. This followed Joe Biden’s claim during the Thursday debate that “we” (apparently meaning Biden and Obama) knew nothing about the Libya mission’s request to the State Department for extra security.

To support this claim, Powerline blog links to Tucker Carlson’s Daily Caller, which itself has a credibility problem; and a claim by author Ed Cline, who has a problem telling the truth in his writings. Anyhow, Ed Cline writes the following:

“Not only would it be hard to predict how it would play out as far as Hillary is concerned in the future, but it would certainly damage Obama’s chances for re-election if she resigned,” he said.

Klein said relations between the Clintons and President Obama have reached a new low, most recently with Obama ignoring Bill Clinton’s offer to help him and Vice President Joe Biden prepare for the debates with the Republican ticket.

“He had very clear ideas on how they should do that,” Klein told TheDC. “He never once got a response. And it absolutely sent him into orbit. He was furious that he would be treated this way, especially after what he did, in his view, at the Democratic convention in giving that nomination speech for Obama.”

Added Klein: “His fury turned to deep concern when the Benghazi business unfolded because he was deeply troubled by the appearance that the White House was going to throw Hillary under the bus, which in fact it appears it is doing.”

Klein said Bill Clinton’s informal legal team is made up of people he’s used in the past in legal situations. He asked them by phone to tell him how Hillary Clinton should handle this situation and what to do if she is subpoenaed to testify to the House Oversight Committee and provide them with memos regarding Benghazi.

The author said the situation is obviously complicated by Obama’s re-election, but also the possibility that Hillary would run in 2016.

“If she is left with this stain on her reputation, it could seriously damage her chances for election,” Klein told TheDC. “And this is what is really bothering Bill more than anything.”

The Agonist is not buying it and neither am I. Above anything at all, Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama are faithful Democrats to the very end. I do not believe for one lousy moment that Hillary Clinton or Bill or even Obama would risk ripping the Democratic Party to shreds over something like this. I might not be a professional when it comes to politics; but I am not an idiot. I know the Democratic Party well and with them, party always comes first. Nice try guys, but it is not going to happen. If anything at all, there will be some profuse apologizing and it will end with that.

So, nice; but, no. Sorry, but no. Rolling Eyes
