If Donald Trump wants to win, he needs to dump Joseph Schmitz NOW!

This does not look good at all:

Trump Foreign Policy Adviser Joseph Schmitz

Allegations of antisemitism have surfaced against one of Donald Trump’s foreign policy advisers, raising further questions about the guidance the Republican presidential nominee is receiving.

Joseph Schmitz, named as one of five advisers by the Trump campaign in March, is accused of bragging when he was Defense Department inspector general a decade ago that he pushed out Jewish employees.

The revelations feed two themes that his opponent Hillary Clinton has used to erode Trump’s credibility: That he is a foreign policy neophyte, and that his campaign, at times, has offended Jews and other minorities.

Schmitz, who is a lawyer in private practice in Washington, says the allegations against him are lies. All three people who have cited the remarks, including one who testified under oath about them, have pending employment grievances with the federal government.

Daniel Meyer, a senior official within the intelligence community, described Schmitz’s remarks in his complaint file.“His summary of his tenure’s achievement reported as ‘…I fired the Jews,’ ” wrote Meyer, a former official in the Pentagon inspector general’s office whose grievance was obtained by McClatchy.

Meyer, who declined to comment about the matter, cited in his complaint another former top Pentagon official, John Crane, as the source and witness to the remarks. Crane worked with Schmitz, who served as inspector general between April 2002 and September 2005. – Source: Donald Trump foreign policy adviser accused of anti-Semitic remarks | McClatchy DC

Donald Trump had better dump this guy and I mean quick. Because as you all well know, there is an Unwritten rule in politics and it is best described like this:

Thou shalt not speak ill of the Jews, thou shalt not do anything to harm the Jews, and thou shalt not even mention the Jews.

Otherwise, Thou shalt not have a political career and thou shalt be destroyed by the political left and the political right.

If Donald Trump is even remotely wise at all when it comes to politics and running a presidential campaign, he will dismiss this guy, as his foreign policy advisor and put as much distance between his campaign and this man.

Otherwise, I’ll be sitting here sometime next year bemoaning the fact that Hillary Clinton is now president as well as most of the Republican Party and Grassroots conservatives.

Antisemitism; whether perceived or real, is considered the third rail in politics and it is not acceptable in general quarters any longer.

I just hope and pray that Donald Trump is smart enough to know this.

I’m really worried about Trump’s chances

In case you all haven’t noticed, I really haven’t been writing about politics at all, here as of late.

Quite frankly, I am totally burned out on Politics as a whole. I guess the burnout started after 2012, when Mitt Romney lost and it’s not really gotten any better.

Quite honestly, I really don’t know if Donald Trump even has a chance at winning in 2016. What with hiring of the guy, who basically runs the conservative version of Pravada; also known as Breitbart. I just don’t see how people are going to take him seriously.

Then there’s his statement about the American intelligence system. Can you think of a more boneheaded statement to make if you’re running for president? “I want to be your president, but, I don’t trust the American intelligence system”;that has to be the most tone-deaf, ignorant, statement that anyone could make who was running for president.

Then, there’s that every Republican who has any sort of influence in the party, is basically blasting Trump and then endorsing Hillary Clinton. Sorry, but that’s a death sentence for a campaign, when your own people do not trust your ability to lead the country and endorsed someone, who is basically the sworn enemy of the Republican Party.

Then there’s the media, now we all know that the media; except maybe for Fox News channel, is biased against Donald Trump. That’s a given in politics, I totally understand that.

However, I happen to believe that the movements of the Trump campaign here in the last few months, combined with the Republican Party establishment’s literal turning on Donald Trump left and right….I just don’t think he has the ability to win the presidency and that my friends is a depressing thing and makes me not really want to blog at all.

As an independent Baptist and as a Christian and as someone who used to vote Democrat and finally threw up my hands in disgust and walked away and joined the ranks of Pat Buchanan, Chuck Baldwin and many of the other people who still believe in this country: I have to say there are dark days ahead. I just hope we can survive them. 😔😟

Donald Trump mentions “Second Amendment People” and leftist media gets the vapors.

Well, it seems the media is wetting its pants over this statement here:

Here’s the leftist NYT getting the vapors over it: (To be fair some on the right are too...)

WILMINGTON, N.C. — Donald J. Trump on Tuesday appeared to raise the possibility that gun rights supporters could take matters into their own hands if Hillary Clinton is elected president and appoints judges who favor stricter gun control measures.

Repeating his contention that Mrs. Clinton wanted to abolish the right to bear arms, Mr. Trump warned at a rally here that it would be “a horrible day” if Mrs. Clinton were elected and got to appoint a tiebreaking Supreme Court justice.

“If she gets to pick her judges, nothing you can do, folks,” Mr. Trump said, as the crowd began to boo. He quickly added: “Although the Second Amendment people — maybe there is, I don’t know.”

Oblique as it was, Mr. Trump’s remark quickly elicited a wave of condemnation from Democrats, gun control advocates and others, who accused him of suggesting violence against Mrs. Clinton or liberal jurists. Bernice A. King, daughter of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., called Mr. Trump’s words “distasteful, disturbing, dangerous.”

Mrs. Clinton’s running mate, Senator Tim Kaine of Virginia, expressed disbelief. “Nobody who is seeking a leadership position, especially the presidency, the leadership of the country, should do anything to countenance violence, and that’s what he was saying,” Mr. Kaine said in Austin, Tex. He called Mr. Trump’s remark “a window into the soul of a person who is just temperamentally not suited to the task.”

And Dan Gross, the president of the Brady Campaign and Center to Prevent Gun Violence, which has endorsed Mrs. Clinton, said Mr. Trump’s statement was “repulsive — literally using the Second Amendment as cover to encourage people to kill someone with whom they disagree.”

“For Trump, violence has become a standard talking point, a common punch line, and even a campaign strategy,” Mr. Gross said.

Paul D. Ryan, the Republican House speaker who has had a tense relationship with Mr. Trump, told reporters on Tuesday night that the remarks sounded “like a joke gone bad.”

He added: “You should never joke about that. I hope he clears it up quickly.”

Mr. Trump and his campaign did not treat his remark as a joke; instead, they insisted he was merely urging gun rights supporters to vote as a bloc against Mrs. Clinton. “The Second Amendment people have tremendous power because they are so united,” he told a CBS affiliate in North Carolina late Tuesday.

Here’s the video of Trump explaining himself:

The really funny party is that Hillary Clinton said the same very thing about Obama in 2008. Here is Keith Olbermann talking about it:

I wonder if the media will bring this up? Don’t count on it.

Ya know, it’s pretty freakin’ bad when……

I actually start agreeing with Commentary Magazine. 🙄

Quote:

In most electoral campaigns that go sour, the panic-driven fission doesn’t achieve critical mass until the mid-to-late autumn. Donald Trump’s presidential campaign is already there, and it’s only August.

Trump has shown himself to be incapable of strategically retreating from losing fights, and his feud with a Gold Star family of a Muslim Bronze Star recipient followed this pattern. As the terrible news cycles mounted and Trump’s Republican allies began openly expressing their dissatisfaction with the course on which their party’s presidential nominee was set, the Trump campaign began to reveal how unstable a compound it was.

That’s Noah Rothman, who used to work for HotAir.com. Noah’s not wrong about that either. This is bad. Trump either needs to get his act together or turn it over to Mike Pence and get out of the race. Because there are alot of people; myself included that wanted to see Trump turn America around and he is doing idiot nonsense like this. It is asinine and it is going to cost us in November.

It is just pretty darned bad, when a committed Neocon and a populist conservative/paleocon type agree on something. 🙄

Brutal Video: Donald Trump rallies uncensored

Folks, I am not going to lie to you. I have serious concerns about November. 🙁 I knew stuff like this was going to happen. Trump pressed all the right buttons and exploited the Nation’s anger and now, we get this below. I will be voting for Trump. But, I can almost assure you; that he will not be elected. Trump could have taken the high road and ran a Reagan-like campaign. Instead, he ran an New York City brawler campaign and this is the result. Enjoy 4 to 8 years of Hillary. Because that’s what we’re getting, I am afraid. 🙁

Sarah Palin’s speech for Trump invokes memories of George W. Bush era

Apparently Sarah Palin gave a speech in support of Donald Trump. You can go watch that video here.

The things said, in that video, quite frankly, remind me of another era in conservative politics and national politics in general.

Jazz Shaw, over at Hotair.com gives the low-down:

Skip to 11:32 for the key bit from today’s speech in Denver. “They’re not all bad,” she says of right-wing anti-Trumpers. “I’m kidding. They are.” I don’t mind the insults as much as I do the fact they still come paired with appeals for unity, as though calling someone a traitor enough times might someday finally open their minds to Trump’s divine greatness. “We don’t need you treacherous #NeverTrump dirtbags” is a coherent approach. That’s a kiss-off. “We need you and we’re pleading with you as patriots to help us stop Hillary” is another. That’s earnest outreach. “We need you treacherous #NeverTrump dirtbags” is a co-dependent ex-boyfriend/girlfriend clinging to your ankle while sobbing. It won’t work. The same goes for any anti-Trumpers who, after spending the past year deriding Trump fans, would suddenly insist that they get with the program and back a new nominee if Trump were deposed at the convention. We’re a party stuck in a broken marriage whose two spouses despise each other but who can’t bring themselves to divorce. The path to reconciliation probably doesn’t involve cutesy-poo “RAT” acronyms, I’m thinking, just as it doesn’t involve “You’re either with us or you’re against us” ultimatums. If we’re going to do that, let’s give up on reconciliation, no?

Please, keep in mind that HotAir.com is decidedly anti-trump; and I really do NOT agree with them on Trump at all. However, there are some things in this speech that bother me greatly.

The whole idea of, “You are either with us or against us.” is troubling for a good many reasons. I am old enough and have been around politics enough to remember the George W. Bush-era. I have also been around long enough to remember that during the lead up to the war in Iraq, which most on the right concede, was a tragic mistake, that caused more problems than it solved; the attitude among those who were loyal Bush supporters, was “You are either with us or against us.”

This mentality is dangerous, it is fascist and it is wrong. The idea that someone who disagrees with those who support Donald Trump is some sort of enemy; smacks of the George W. Bush Iraq War era. When dissent was labeled treasonous.

Please, do not misunderstand me at all. I happen to believe that Donald Trump will make a wonderful President. I believe he will stand up to the globalists and balance out our trade deals in our favor. I believe that Trump will straighten out our illegal immigration problem. I believe that he will strengthen our Military and put America on an “America First” foreign policy course.

But I’ll be damned, if I will be labeled a “rat” or a “traitor”; If I happen to disagree with something that he says or does! 😡

If Sarah Palin thinks that making speeches like this, is doing anything to help Donald Trump’s cause; she is very, very, highly mistaken. Donald Trump is not perfect, he is not a king. He is not a Messiah of any sort at all. Donald Trump is running for the highest office in United States politics and that is the President of the United States of America.

I am glad to see that Sarah Palin and many other conservatives are rally behind Trump. But, the use of these sort of statements towards those who do not support Trump; are very off-putting to people like me, who happen to remember when the Republicans lost their ever-loving minds back in 2003-2004.

How not to win over the media and win the White House

I do believe that the GOP just lost the race to the White House. 🙁

Donald Trump on Monday said he is revoking the press credentials of The Washington Post, one of the nation’s largest newspapers, over its “dishonest reporting.” The presumptive Republican presidential nominee made the announcement in a brief post on Facebook Monday afternoon.“

Based on the incredibly inaccurate coverage and reporting of the record setting Trump campaign, we are hereby revoking the press credentials of the phony and dishonest Washington Post,” Trump wrote. In an earlier message, Trump slammed the Post for its coverage of his comments Monday morning about the mass shooting in Orlando, Fla., on Sunday. In those remarks, Trump questioned President Obama’s commitment to fighting Islamic terrorism. “We’re led by a man that either is not tough, not smart, or he’s got something else in mind,” the presumptive Republican presidential nominee said during a phone interview on “Fox and Friends.” “And the something else in mind, you know, people can’t believe it, people cannot believe that President Obama is acting the way he acts and can’t even mention the words ‘radical Islamic terrorism,’ ” he said. “There’s something going on — it’s inconceivable. There’s something going on. “He doesn’t get it, or he gets it better than anybody understands. It’s one or the other, and either one is unacceptable”

Trump wrote that “I am no fan of President Obama, but to show you how dishonest the phony Washington Post is, they wrote, ‘Donald Trump suggests President Obama was involved with Orlando shooting’ as their headline. Sad!”

The headline on the Post story has since been changed to, “Donald Trump seems to connect President Obama to Orlando shooting.” – Source: Trump says he’s revoking press credentials for The Washington Post | TheHill

Hope everyone on the right enjoys four years of Hillary, because that is what we are going to get, because you do not disrespect the media and win the White House, ever. Sad too, Trump could have been great. But, this is going to ruin it for him. You watch and see.

One of the things that I do not like about Donald Trump

As I said in my previous posting, there are some things that I do not like about Donald Trump.

Well, here’s another one. It seems that Donald Trump wants to use his wealth and position to pay people to criticize the media for reporting the facts on him.

Now folks, there is one thing that I do value in this country and that is a free press. I understand that in this day and age most press has a political slant or bias. However, I believe that it is unbecoming of someone who wants to run for the Office of the President of the United States, to attempt to use his power and influence to try to buy favorable press; that my friends is an unAmerican.

A free and unbought price is essential to Liberty in the United States of America, whether I agree with their political positions or not; the Press has a duty to fairly and accurately report on people who are running for president of the United States.

I believe that this is dangerous. I believe it sets a dangerous precedent and I think that anybody who has a smidgen of Common Sense, including the Republican party, needs to stand up and rebuke harshly Donald Trump for trying to do such a thing.

I can most assuredly tell you that if Donald Trump is trying to use his position and power to curry favor among the Press, to cover up his misdeeds in the past; then I most assuredly will not be voting for him come November.

It is the duty of the United States press to report accurately and unbiased information to the voter, on someone who is running for president of the United States. To try to suppress that, goes against every founding principle that this nation was founded upon and I suggest Donald Trump wants my vote, he will stop this madness and I mean fast.

Why I haven’t been blogging

This is one of those blog postings that I’ve meant to write for a while.

My friends I’m simply going to be honest with you. I have quite frankly gotten bored with politics. Back in 2006, when I started blogging, President George W Bush was in the White House, the Iraq war was in full swing which I was totally against and the Democrats and basically the progressive left was against it. There was a reason for my writing.

Well, needless to say my reasons for writing have basically evaporated. Not to mention that blogging has gotten a bit more partisan than it used to be. And also too, there was a bit more sense of community among the bloggers, people helped each other out.

Nowadays, it seems like the blog and Community has become partisan and basically an ego trip contest to see whose ego is the biggest. One thing I can honestly tell you about this blogging thing,  it was never about me or my ego or who I am or anything like that. I was simply a voice for those who either didn’t have time or didn’t have the ability to write about what they were feeling.

Now, about Trump, I can honestly say that he does have good ideas on three issues:

1. Free trade: let’s just be real folks globalism is killing America and I would like to see that reined-in, in a big way. The amount of imports in this country from China, from Japan and from other places is, killing our manufacturing base in this country. I think if Donald Trump could do something with these free trade agreements to make them more favorable for the United States of America that would be great.

2. Illegal immigration: let’s just be real folks our Southern border is wide open. I believe that if Donald Trump could do something about the illegal immigration problem in this country; such as enforce the laws that are already on the books and have ICE agents carry out that enforcement, like they’re supposed to then maybe something could be done.

3. Foreign policy: let’s just be real folks the Cold War is Over. And I think it’s about time that someone like Donald Trump has went through our foreign policy commitments and told these countries that the Cold War is Over and that we should not be providing protection to these people for free anymore. Furthermore, I think Donald Trump should realign our foreign policy to protecting America First and not getting it involved in matters that are not of our concern. The solution to terrorism is full-scale bombing operations and wiping out these terrorist cells and that can be done without boots on the ground you’d be amazed what a 80,000 ton bomb can do to a terrorist headquarters. I simply do not believe that Donald Trump believes in prolonged conflict like what we had in Iraq. Furthermore I believe that Donald Trump would stand up to the neoconservative Hawks in the Republican Party and would tell them, no, we’re not going to do what you want, we’re going to put America first.

That’s the good things about Donald Trump. Now, here’s what I don’t like about him. The fact is folks Donald Trump tends to be a bit of a loose cannon. Donald Trump also has a problem with bashing women; to the point where even as a guy, it bothers me.

Another thing that kind of bothers me too and I know this is probably going to make me get some static from people who actually read this blog and that is this:

Folks let’s just be real:  Donald Trump is a very wealthy man. I have a sneaky suspicion that Donald Trump is going to try to use his wealth and his business connections to try to Curry favor with those who are perceived as enemies of America. This my friends is extremely problematic and could pose a problem for the United States of America. Not to mention the Office of the President of the United States. It would also put Congress in a very precarious position.

One of the main reasons why I stopped writing is because the partisanship and blogging has turned quite frankly into rancid rancor and I simply don’t believe that blogging was never intended to be like that. I never played the partisan game very well at all. I’m all for convictions and vision for what America should be and all that good stuff, but political partisanship or loyalty to a party was never my bag at all. Both of these parties are two sides of the same coin anymore and that coin is basically special interest and Corruption. You know One hand washes the other. I have a sneaking suspicion that Donald Trump would play that game to the hilt and I believe sometimes it would not be in America’s best interest.

So as far as who I’m voting for; at this stage in the game I have no earthly idea who I’m going to vote for it certainly isn’t going to be the Democrats or Hillary Clinton. Now as far as who I would vote for I think it depends on how things are come election day. Outside of what happened with Amanda Carpenter, I really don’t see anything that would stop me from voting for Donald Trump at this point. I would like to see him tone things down a bit and become a bit more presidential or stately, but knowing Donald Trump I don’t think that’s going to happen at all.

So, at this point Ladies and Gentlemen, this is where I’m at. I’ve lost the motivation to write about politics. But, not what I feel to be wrong morally. So, I’m not going to just disappear. I’m just not going to be writing about the headlines as much. I’m not going away, I’m just going to be a bit more selective about what I write about on this blog and what I care to spend time on.

I’m also considering going back and trying to get on with another trucking company maybe take another refresher course if I can get a place that offer it and go back to work driving truck.

I’ve spent a lot of time on YouTube watching Trucking video blogs which are very awesome by the way. If by chance I decided to go back out and drive again and finally am able to go solo in a truck I might start a video blog series on what I do. I’m undecided whether I am going to post those videos here or start a trucking blog and post them there. I’d really like to get back to work because sitting around here has gotten beyond boring.

Another issue that has distracted me away from this blog is my dad’s health. My dad is suffering with a bulged disc in his back and this is a different one from the one he had before back when I tried to go on with Celadon. This one’s in a totally different spot on his back and it is been hurting him bad in fact just earlier here we had a little issue with him when he was in the bathroom and we like to have never gotten him out of there he’s now on the couch with a pillow behind his back in a wet wash cloth on his head and he is trying to get the pain to ease off. So now I’m having to deal with that and that’s one of the reasons why I haven’t just jump back out on the road to drive truck. With this man, that being me, family comes first and trucking career and blogging come second.

I hope you all understand and I hope you all don’t give up on me as a blogger. But right now, life is taking precedence over this blog.

Thanks for reading,

Charles Patrick Adkins
