Kudos to Greta Van Susteren at Fox News Channel

For this bit of backbone in the face of the idiotic nonsense over at Fox News Channel towards Hillary Clinton:

I believe that Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is suffering from a concussion. She has never shied away from a fight (assuming the testimony would even amount to that), she has never declined to testify before in her decades of public service … and very significantly she has agreed to testify in January so they will hear from her.
If the Republicans wanted to hear from her earlier, why didn’t they just call her to testify earlier? and if she had said no, subpoena her? It is simple to do. The Republicans are in the Majority in the House of Representatives and had the power and could have summoned her / subpoenaed her to testify if they had wanted to.
Frankly, I do want to hear what she says about Benghazi — she is important to hear from on this serious matter – but I want to hear from her when she is in good health. There are many, many unanswered and very serious questions in my mind, and as the Secretary of State, it is her job to answer them. I would have liked to have had her testify weeks ago and answered the questions — but now that she is sick — the right thing to do is to wait until she is better.
I don’t agree with being snarky about someone’s health.

It’s funny what they’ll write about you, when you’re dead

Recently, a local treasure here in Detroit passed away. Sonny Eliot who was one of the funniest broadcasters ever; passed away a few days ago. It would seem that someone like Sonny Eliot would be exempted from controversy or even criticism from the PC liberal left.

Well, if you believed that, you would be wrong. Dateline Detroit, a left-wing liberal rag website has brought the long knives out to capitalize on a dead man’s memory:

Broadcast colleagues and media acquaintances speak of Sonny Eliot, the 91-year-old Detroit weathercaster Sonny Eliot who died at home Friday, with affection, admiration and acknowledgment that he definitely was a piece of work.
Recollections shared publicly and privately provide glimpses of a brash, brazen figure who enjoyed crossing boundaries and grabbing attention.
Back when his career was accelerating, “hostile environment” described icy roads in Engadine, not workplace behavior. He reflected the tone of that Mad Men era and continued to do so, insiders suggest.

This hit piece on Sonny Eliot goes on to talk about some of Sonny’s antics off the air, some of which are anonymous; which were reserved for the worst of the comments about the man. Some of you out-of-town folk may not know this, but Sonny Eliot was not the man’s real name. His real name was Marvin Schlossberg and he was Jewish. (Thanks to Jewish in the D for that information.) I have to really wonder, what was Alan Stamm’s motivation for writing such a slanderous article?

Could it be that Alan is, like his fellow Democrats; slouching towards Hitler-like Jewish hatred? It is no coincidence that Israel now is fighting for its very existence. Now you have someone who is writing for a publication that bills itself as the “homegrown media revolution.” Revolution against what, the Jews?

Let me just say this: I am not trying to play the Semite card here, at all. However, I found this article to be quite distasteful and morbid, seeing that the man recently passed away. Sonny Eliot was a different person from a much different era; sort of like my Father, and it very much miffs me, when some ideology driven media hack decides to slander and defame a man, after he is dead. Whatever happened to just saying that he was a nice man and leave the rest of the stuff alone?

The one quote that really miffed me was this one:

In other words, he made that part up. No name mentioned, just a random anonymous quote that most likely he made up, to make his slander piece sound good. All to defame a well-known, and well-loved, Jewish man.

In closing: I really hate having to write articles like this; but, by golly, sometimes these things just need to be said. In this day and age of so-called “Democratic Journalism” where there is no integrity, this sort of tripe is allowed and accepted. Well, this is one blogger that is not going to allow this sort of bovine excrement got unchallenged. I am not Jewish, and I have no Jewish heritage at all. However, if I were, I would be shouting from the rooftops about this slanderous article about a Jewish man, who simply sought to make others happy.

It is truly a sad time in America; when even the dead cannot even get any sort of peace from the PC police.

It seems that the liberals have a new line of attack, accusing we Conservatives of living in a cocoon, because we choose not to believe that which the liberal media spoon feeds its sheep.

Yeah, we’re cocooned, because we choose not to be spoon fed the tripe that these media types spoon feed to their sheep. Good luck with that argument.

Imagine for a moment the outrage if a conservative commentator said even jokingly to Obama supporters, “White people know who you are and they will come after you.” That would be the end of that person’s career. Period. No questions asked. Done! But Maher who’s adored by the Obama-loving media can say this with total impunity. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: HBO should be ashamed to have this disgusting man as one of its on air personalities. Period. End of story.

I agree. Because of the liberal media bias in America; and because Bill Maher happens to be of the correct protected minority ethnic bloodline, on his mother’s side — he can get away with sort of thing. Just my opinion.

However, Sheppard is correct, if a Conservative had said the same thing, but with black and white switched out, he would be called a Nazi, A racist and a bunch of other stuff and his career would be over. Just another example of the perverted nonsense that plaques this Country.

The center is the war room of the Federal Emergency Management Agency, where officials gather to decide where rescuers should go, where drinking water should be shipped, and how to assist hospitals that have to evacuate.
Disaster coordination is one of the most vital functions of “big government,” which is why Mitt Romney wants to eliminate it. At a Republican primary debate last year, Mr. Romney was asked whether emergency management was a function that should be returned to the states. He not only agreed, he went further.
“Absolutely,” he said. “Every time you have an occasion to take something from the federal government and send it back to the states, that’s the right direction. And if you can go even further and send it back to the private sector, that’s even better.” Mr. Romney not only believes that states acting independently can handle the response to a vast East Coast storm better than Washington, but that profit-making companies can do an even better job. He said it was “immoral” for the federal government to do all these things if it means increasing the debt.
It’s an absurd notion, but it’s fully in line with decades of Republican resistance to federal emergency planning. FEMA, created by President Jimmy Carter, was elevated to cabinet rank in the Bill Clinton administration, but was then demoted by President George W. Bush, who neglected it, subsumed it into the Department of Homeland Security, and placed it in the control of political hacks. The disaster of Hurricane Katrina was just waiting to happen.
The agency was put back in working order by President Obama, but ideology still blinds Republicans to its value. Many don’t like the idea of free aid for poor people, or they think people should pay for their bad decisions, which this week includes living on the East Coast.

This not a paper staffed with honorable Americans; this is a damned paper staffed with partisan hacks, who would throw their own damned mothers under the bus for partisanship. Angry And people wonder why Obama’s popularity is in the toilet? Progressives wonder why the their politics is not popular? It is because of dumb stuff right here!

Oh My Word: Chris Matthews says that Mitt Romney’s support is due to “Racial Hatred”

I am going to tell you all something. I do believe I have seen it all now. I have been blogging since 2006. I have been around this political stuff for 6 long years, and this is the first time, that I have ever seen a progressive talking-head accuse the American people of being racists for not supporting a President. This, as they say, is absolutely unreal.

First of all, I do believe that Mitt Romney said that he would only use the Military as a last resort. Which is a very large departure from the Bush Administration’s insistence that we just had to go into Iraq to stop the WMD’s. As for calling Mitt Romney a “jackass,” any jackass can support a Presidential candidate because of his skin color too, as it seems that Chris Matthews did. Furthermore, any jackass can run for President as a community organizer; but if you are black, you have better chance of winning! So there! Phbbbttt Mr. Matthews, you make a mockery of the Progressives and the Democratic Party! You should be kicked off the air for good.

I’m certain that this is what makes Matthews feel more comfortable about an election that clearly is being lost by Barack Obama. It’s not about median household income dropping faster during the Obamanomics recover (4.8%) than during the recession (2.5%). It’s not about having the lowest civilian population participation rate in the last 31 years (63.5%, down from 65.7% at the beginning of the recovery). It’s not about 1.3% GDP growth. It’s not about skyrocketing deficits and budget proposals so ridiculous that no one in Obama’s own party would vote for them. No, Matthews can’t bring himself to it’s about America rejecting the President who delivered this economic performance not because of his failures, but because of the color of his skin — even though the same electorate made him President despite a lack of experience over a long-known and long-serving politician four years ago.

Agreed. My friends, as I have written on this blog, and on my old one many times. I am a former Democratic Party voter, I left that part for this very reason right here. Because I knew that this sort of stupidity would be coming down the pike, once President Obama was elected. It is a sad state of affairs for the Democratic Party, their leader has failed horribly and now, they are trying to hold on to the “dream,” if you want to call it that and they will be dragged into the dustbin of history, kicking and screaming all the way.

Again, it is sad to see; but I knew it was coming, long ago.

Confirmed: Dateline Detroit is nothing more than a left-wing, anti-white rag

I have these guys in my RSS Reader and I noticed some postings that have come through; and they are not pretty at all.

I was under the impression that this publication was more independent. I guess I was quite wrong about that little idea.

I am almost certain that these leftists most likely believe that George Wallace was a Republican too. It is a typical tactic of the liberal left to parrot that talking point. George Wallace was, in fact, a southern Democrat, who left the party to run as an Independent, because he resented the Democrats move towards civil rights for blacks. George Wallace was also a bitter racist, who eventually, after ending up in a wheelchair, because of getting shot by a deranged man; became a born-again Christian and turned his back on his racist views and his ideas on segregation. But, none of that matters to the left-wing propagandists, like these people. They have a narrative to push! The narrative that all white Christian Conservatives, like me, are racists and George Wallace wannabe’s and that all black or Latinos,who are Conservatives, are race traitors and house Negroes!

I notice that it says, “Homegrown Media Revolution” in their front page. Oh, it is a revolution alright. The same kind of revolution that started on July 23, 1967 and lasted for almost a week. Some advice for the Dateline Detroit folks, drop the pretense; just come out and say it, that you are a group of leftists, who do not like corporate media and are looking to become the Detroit version of DailyKos or The Nation. Yeah, I know, I linked to them; sometimes they actually have good stuff on that site. But, the majority of the time, it is the same old, tired, far left liberal stupidity.

It is sad that Detroit has gotten that bad. But it is to be expected; seeing the decline has gotten worse in that city —– since I left in 1989.

GM’s jobs news is nothing more than a ruse

Great and wonderful news, right? Wrong. Just another bogus headline from a company that is about ready for bankruptcy. This story comes via MLive.com.

General Motors Co. and the state are expected to announce today that GM will create 2,000 new jobs in Michigan, beginning with up to 1,500 at a new information technology innovation center in Warren.
The automaker and the Governor’s Office are expected to make formal announcements later today.
It’s unclear where GM would add the other 500 jobs, but the state says the innovation center is the first of three projects the company will announce.
GM will invest $300 million combined for the three. The state said GM plans no major investment spending on the information technology center; it will be housed in an existing building undergoing renovation on the Warren Tech Center campus.
The center will hire 1,500 new employees within four years and will add to information technology employment already in Warren, Randy Mott, GM’s vice president of information technology and chief information officer, said in a Friday interview.

This is where I am going to get accused of sounding like a Democrat or something worse.

This headline is the biggest stinking joke, since the election Barack Obama. These jobs above here? There are not jobs that anyone could do, you know, like me? These jobs are one that would need some serious degrees —- none of which I honestly have at all. So, these are not 2000 jobs for the public, like labor jobs; as the labor jobs are protected by the unions. These are tech jobs that will end up being filled by immigrants, legal or otherwise from foreign countries; who have the degrees to get these jobs. The rest will go to protected minorities, who happen to have those degrees as well.

I just have to ask aloud; how much of this investment, came from the taxpayers dollars that ended up bailing out this failed business? I really do not know if I really want to know the answer to that or not. However, what I will say is this here; the local Detroit media needs to stop with the dishonest headlines and get out of tank for the big three. I mean, do not get me wrong, I want to see General Motor succeed, as their success personally affects my family, namely my Father, who retired from that company after 31 years. But, when I see dishonest headlines like this, it disgusts me. People scanning through, think GM is mass hiring workers for the plants. Which they are not, they are hiring salaried employees, that they really do not need and doing this, will most likely make them go broke again.

It is time, that the local Detroit media started telling the complete truth about the big three.
