Another one from the "Oy" file

Just when you think you’ve heard it all today… There’s this:

Dr. Laura blames Spitzer’s wife for scandal. – (via Think Progress)

When the wife does not focus in on the needs and the feelings — sexually, personally — to make him feel like a man, to make him feel like a success, to make him feel like her hero, he’s very susceptible to the charm of some other woman. […]

The cheating was his decision to repair what’s damaged and to feed himself where he’s starving. But yes, I hold women accountable for tossing out perfectly good men by not treating them with the love and kindness and respect and attention they need.

Melissa McEwan at Shakesville weighs in:

Secondly, it’s absolutely true that if someone’s (reasonable) needs aren’t being met by a spouse, then something will eventually and inexorably give. But that doesn’t justify cheating; it justifies ending the relationship. That’s true whether it’s husband or wife (or both) failing to deliver; it’s not a one-way street.

But most importantly, this idea that spouses cheat solely or mostly because they are lacking "love and kindness and respect and attention" at home is antiquated horseshit. Yeah, some spouses cheat for that reason. And plenty of others—especially men in positions like Spitzer’s—cheat because it’s exciting and fun and because they are self-indulgent narcissists who are stupid enough to believe they’ll never get caught. Many people who cheat have spouses who dote on them like they’re the very sunshine; sometimes the problem is not a lack of love, but the cheat’s utter failure to appreciate being loved.

Well Put Melissa!

I’ve no doubt Dr. Laura is in possession of the capacity to wrap her mind around these simple concepts, but I guess it’s not as thrilling as being a woman-hating victim-blamer.

I must say, I agree…. and I’m a right of center type of a guy, imagine that!

Mittins is dreaming……again

Keep dreamin’ Dude!

Romney says he’d take Veep (via Politico.com)

Mitt Romney said in his first interview since departing the GOP race that he would accept the number two position on the ticket and that there is no lingering bitterness between him and John McCain.

Ha! Yeah right…. He acted like an total asshole to McCain and he thinks he’s going to welcome him with open arms? Pleeeeeeese! Rolling Eyes

“I think any Republican leader in this country would be honored to be asked to serve as the vice presidential nominee, myself included," Romney told FOX’s Sean Hannity in a broadcast set to air tonight.  "Of course this is a nation which needs strong leadership. And if the nominee of our party asked you to serve with him, anybody would be honored to receive that call … and to accept it, of course.”

Yeah and Monkeys will fly out my butt too! Tongue

According to two separate reports, Romney is being talked up as a running mate by members of the Bush inner circle.   But McCain and his closest advisers have little regard for their former rival thanks to the bitter, year-long race waged between the two Republicans.

Well, I would guess so! The way he trashed him, I wouldn’t give that rich asshole the time of day. Go back to Utah, Mormon freak! Leave the politics to the grown ups, please, thank you………. Loser

Obama snags Mississippi

He’s gaining by the minute.

Obama Wins Mississippi (via MSNBC)

NBC News declared Barack Obama as the projected winner in the Mississippi primary on Tuesday, the latest in a string of racially polarized contests across the Deep South and a final tune-up before April’s high-stakes race with Hillary Rodham Clinton in Pennsylvania.

Obama was winning roughly 90 percent of the black vote but only about one-third of the white vote, extending a pattern that carried him to victory in earlier primaries in South Carolina, Alabama, Georgia and Louisiana.

I think, considering what Hillary Clinton’s surrogate said about Barack Obama, This is just payback. I mean, Hillary, I believe is trying to cause division in the Democrat Party. I think it’s immature and shows much about her.

Senator Obama did an interview on a special late edition of Hardball with Chris Matthews. He basically repeated his talking points, however, he did answer the nasty stuff said about him very well. That says much about Obama’s character.

Here’s The Video:

Of course, the pundits are saying it was a easy win, because, according to the "Pundits" or as I like to call them, the educated Political idiots, say that it is because of the large African-American Population, which is, in my opinion, simple-minded and short sighted. He won because people believe in the man, is that so hard for the Media to admit that? Confused

Snort Worthy Quote

From Mark Hemingway (Via The Corner on National Review Online):

They randomly found her on a call-girl Web site? Man, I would have liked to have been in the newsroom when that story assignment went down. "Listen, we need to talk to every high-dollar hooker on the eastern seaboard, like yesterday. Get on it, people! Err, you know what I mean. I don’t care if everyone in the news division spends the rest of the week on parts of the internet where it’s a good idea not to roll down the window, find me a prostitute… who knows Eliot Sptizer! Now get your minds out of the gutter and start calling all those ads in the back of The Villiage Voice. Remember if it says ‘full service,’ they’re not checking your tire pressure."

Apology to my readers

Earlier tonight, I posted a entry on here about the situation with Geraldine Ferraro.

Unfortunately, I allowed my emotions to get the best of me, and after coming back and looking at the post, I decided to pull it from the Blog.  I did this because I felt that I was stooping to her level, by calling her the stuff that I did.

I will try not to allow this to happen again, I’m better than that sort of a thing, I just sometimes forget that.

Again, I apologize to any female readers who might have seen that post and were offended.

I mean that sincerely…

Okay, who rattled this woman's chain?

How Stupid.

"I think what America feels about a woman becoming president takes a very secondary place to Obama’s campaign – to a kind of campaign that it would be hard for anyone to run against," she said. "For one thing, you have the press, which has been uniquely hard on her. It’s been a very sexist media. Some just don’t like her. The others have gotten caught up in the Obama campaign.

"If Obama was a white man, he would not be in this position," she continued. "And if he was a woman (of any color) he would not be in this position. He happens to be very lucky to be who he is. And the country is caught up in the concept." Ferraro does not buy the notion of Obama as the great reconciler.

"I was reading an article that said young Republicans are out there campaigning for Obama because they believe he’s going to be able to put an end to partisanship," Ferraro said, clearly annoyed. "Dear God! Anyone that has worked in the Congress knows that for over 200 years this country has had partisanship – that’s the way our country is."

Oy.
