Poll by The Hill says that 52 percent say that Nation is worse off and Obama does not deserve reelection

This is not much of s surprise at all, after all; Obama basically conceded defeat on the economy, of which Romney reminded everyone.

Quoting:

A majority of voters believe the country is worse off today than it was four years ago and that President Obama does not deserve reelection, according to a new poll for The Hill.

Fifty-two percent of likely voters say the nation is in “worse condition” now than in September 2008, while 54 percent say Obama does not deserve reelection based solely on his job performance.

Only 31 percent of voters believe the nation is in “better condition,” while 15 percent say it is “about the same,” the poll found. Just 40 percent of voters said Obama deserves reelection.

I remember back when Obama was trying to pass healthcare. I remember thinking at the time; “Why is he doing this? Why isn’t he trying to fix the economy first?” I also remember thinking, if he does this backwards like this, he is going to lose the people. Sure enough, I was right. Now, as a Conservative; I know darned well, that the President cannot actually fix the economy. However, what a President can do is create a climate of confidence, that will make small business owners want to hire people. Like reducing taxes, removing unnecessary red tape and regulations.

Another reason why Obama has ruined the business climate in America is because of spending.  Now this is where I go off yowling and sounding like a Ron Paul follower, which I am really not; but the guy does have a point about this subject. I will explain it again for the 500’th time. When America spends money, it usually means that it prints more money, so that it can spend it. What this does is devalue our currency, when the currency is devalued, it costs more to buy products. This is called inflation, it was a problem in the 1970’s and it is now a problem again. To it’s credit, the United States brought it’s inflation problem under control in the 1980’s and because of that, the 1980’s was a time a great prosperity in this Country, this continued into the 1990’s as well.

Then the spending started again, under Clinton, and then, under Bush and now again under Obama. This is why we are in the spot that we are in, is because of the reckless spending by the Bush Administration on wars and also because of the Obama Administration’s strange idea that you can spend yourself out of a recession, which is quite idiotic.

Again, this is why that there are no jobs. Because when the Government spends, it puts the private sector at disadvantage. Now, if you are a Marxist and believe that the Government is the end all for everything, you like this. However, if you are a person that believes in limited Government, and that capitalism and private industry is the backbone of America; this, to you, is a very bad thing.

Another thing too, and I mentioned this earlier in my piece and that is taxes. It is my understanding that businesses taxes under Obama have increased.  No matter what form that they might take, tax increases on businesses of any sort, small, large, medium —whatever, are a death knell to business growth. It only stands to reason that if a business owner is going to have to pay more taxes, that he is not going to be able to hire that extra employee. This is just common sense.

Which is something that is sorely lacking in the Democratic Party these days.

Open Message to Jerry Wilson at Goldfish and Clowns

Rarely is it anymore that I get involved with blog wars or blogger fights. Because, quite frankly, the only thing that comes from a war, is hatred, hurt feelings, and discontent. I, being a blogger of 7 year vintage; have experienced some of what is going on with Jerry Wilson now.

Jerry, I followed a link over to your blog, from another well-known blogger’s site and I happen to stumble on your postings; I am talking this one here, here, and here.

Now Jerry, as a fellow brother in the Lord Jesus Christ of a 30 year vintage; I am going to give you some very good advice: Make a clean break. Stop hanging with those people that you are hanging with. They are not good people, they are the bane of evil and they will be your friends, as long you are a “go along to get along.” However, the minute you decide that you are not going to play their game, by their rules; they will turn on you like a rabid dog.

Scripture reference:

Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you. —- Matthew 7:5

Jerry, Believe me; I know of what I speak. I recommend you to just walk away from them. Remove all links to all of the blogs associated with that crowd and remove any banners that might link to their sites.  Friendship is great, believe me, I know; it is nice to be liked by others.  However, when those who pass themselves off as friends, are in all honesty stabbing you in the back, when you are not looking; those are not friends at all.

I found this out the hard way. I have been stabbed in the back, so many times by that crowd, that I just decided that their friendship was not worth it. What really turned me against them all, is when I received some information, from a well-respected Conservative blogger; that one of them — and yes, you have her banner on your site — told me that she was totally faking an illness to get free money.  I kept that information to myself for a few months and finally one day, after watching them all — I decided to inform them that I knew about her and friends dirty little secret.  The reaction was just as I predicted; I was attacked by her and her sock puppet accounts on twitter and by a fake sock puppet supposedly in Canada.

These people play dirty Jerry. I actually had my track backs marked as spam by these people, because they want to prevent me from getting hits on my blog. This is how evil these people are. They are not Conservatives, they are not Christians — they are evil posers, who are out for one thing and one thing alone; promotion and money.

So, there you go Jerry. The truth about them. You can take it or leave it. But I will forewarn you; sooner or later. If they see, that you are not going to fall in line. They will kick you to the curb, toss you under the bus. Whatever you want to call it. When they see that they cannot control you; they will cut you loose and leave you out to dry. Believe me; I know what I speak. I have been there and done that.

Written with a heart that just wants to help a follow brother in the Lord,

-Pat

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Two people were arrested during Sunday’s march in uptown that drew hundreds of protesters, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg police.

About 700 chanting protesters launched a march through uptown with calls for reform on Sunday afternoon. Organizers had previously expected anywhere from 2,000 to 10,000 protesters.

One protester, 23-year-old Anna Marie Wright, was arrested for violating a law by wearing a mask, according to police. Wright was arrested at 2:25 p.m. At the time of the arrest, she had a knife, police said.
Chris Stevens, 32, was also arrested for disorderly conduct, assault on a government official and resisting arrest in the 200 block of South College street. Stevens was drunk, CMPD police chief Rodney Monroe told reporter Dianne Gallagher, and was not part of the March on Wall Street South.

GREEN BAY, Wis. — Vice President Joe Biden launched a new attack on Rep. Paul Ryan in his home state of Wisconsin today, criticizing the Republican vice presidential candidate for not admitting in his convention speech that he was a member of the bipartisan deficit commission he railed against Wednesday evening.

“What he didn’t tell you is he sat on that commission,” Biden said at the National Railroad Museum in Green Bay. “He sat on that commission, and were he and his house Republican friends that he leads, had they voted with the commission, it would have been voted on, but he voted no. He would not let it go to the floor. He walked away.”

During his convention speech Wednesday, Ryan criticized the way President Obama initiated and handled the commission, but the Wisconsin congressman failed to mention his own role on it.

“[Obama] created a bipartisan debt commission. They came back with an urgent report. He thanked them, sent them on their way, and then did exactly nothing,” Ryan said in Tampa.

President Barack Obama says the ribbing Clint Eastwood gave him at the Republican National Convention last week doesn’t mean he won’t watch his movies.

“I am a huge Clint Eastwood fan,” the president said in an interview excerpt released today.
“He is a great actor, and an even better director,” he continued. “I think the last few movies that he’s made have been terrific.”
USA Today asked the president about Eastwood’s participation at the GOP convention while Obama was traveling to Iowa on Saturday. The interview will be fully released on the publication’s website Monday and in print Tuesday.
Eastwood was a much-hyped mystery speaker at the three-day long event, rousing the crowd in a 12-minute oratory that included a satirical “interview” with Obama, in the form of an empty chair. The president said he didn’t hold a grudge against the blunt performance, which some considered borderline vulgar.

“One thing about being president or running for president — if you’re easily offended, you should probably choose another profession,” the president said.

Uh-oh! Thieves make off with the Secret Service’s truck in Detroit

Oh, this is just what Detroit needs right here…. 🙄

Thieves stole a U-Haul truck in downtown Detroit Saturday night containing equipment for the U.S. Secret Service, which is in town for a Labor Day visit by Vice President Joe Biden.

“It won’t affect the visit at all,” said Secret Service spokesman Edward Donovan. “We would never compromise the security of a visit.”

Donovan said the agency rented the truck to haul equipment, some of which was in the vehicle when it was stolen from outside a downtown hotel, near the intersection of Washington Boulevard and Michigan Avenue. The agents left the vehicle Saturday evening and discovered it missing Sunday morning, Donovan said.

Oh to have been a fly on the wall in that truck, when those thieves opened that back door and realized what they had stolen! 😯 Oh man.

I am quite sure that they uttered a couple words that I will not print on this blog. They may have made up a few as they went along as well. I am also sure that somewhere in that conversation that this was said: “How the heck are we going to fence this stuff?”

Proving my long-held belief that criminals might be brave, they might be bold, — but they are not entirely bright. 😉 😛 Believe me, I know what I speak. I have family members who suffer from “Stupid criminal can’t stay outta jail syndrome.” Thank God and my parents that I never turned out like that; I was good kid, who went to Church and did what my parents told me. (Well, most of the time!!) You know what? It shows too. Only interaction I have never had with the police; was when I got speeding tickets, which were all paid, promptly.

Good ol’ Detroit, where if you don’t nail it down; it will be stolen. 😀

Reuters/Ipsos poll: Romney and Obama tied

This is no surprise, Romney is fresh off a Convention and Obama is about to go into one. What will be thing to watch for, is if Obama gets any sort of bounce after the Convention.

With the Democrats set to nominate Obama for a second term this week in Charlotte, North Carolina, the race to the presidential election on November 6 is tight with 45 percent for Obama and 45 percent for Romney among likely voters, the survey found.

The findings were from the seventh day of a rolling online poll conducted for Reuters by Ipsos to judge voters’ attitudes around the political conventions.

Obama campaigned in Boulder, Colorado, the state where he accepted the Democratic presidential nomination four years ago, while Romney was off the campaign trail in New Hampshire, about to begin preparations for three debates with Obama in October.

via Obama, Romney tied as Democrats go into convention | Reuters.

There are some saying that there will be no bump for Obama after the Convention. But other say that there will be. It will be interesting to watch. I do feel however, that because of the trappings on this Convention and because of the lousy economy; people are going to look at Obama and think, “you have got to be kidding.” It is no wonder that people are fleeing the Democratic Party for the party of fiscal sanity.

Mitt Romney pushes back against critics who say he is ignoring the war

This is another one of those stupid liberal and somewhat neoconservative attacks.

Via Fox News:

Mitt Romney continued to take flak from Democrats over the weekend for not mentioning war in his nomination acceptance speech.

But the Republican campaign was quick to point out what critics seemed to be ignoring – Romney spent the day before his convention speech visiting the American Legion conference in Indianapolis, where he talked exclusively about national security and America’s veterans. President Obama, by contrast, addressed that conference in the form of a three-minute video aired at the conference site.

“Now that was an invitation that President Obama declined,” Romney senior adviser Eric Fehrnstrom said in an interview Sunday. “Governor Romney thought it was a privilege to be speaking to people who had served so nobly.”

Though Romney did not mention the war in Afghanistan on Thursday night, he focused on that issue, as well as the veterans who are returning home, in his American Legion speech.

Hmmmmm… Perhaps it is the fact that Mitt Romney is mindful of stuff like this here?

Via Reuters:

(Reuters) – U.S. Forces in Afghanistan said on Sunday they have suspended training new recruits to the Afghan Local Police (ALP) amid a spike in the number of insider attacks which are damaging trust between Afghans and their allies.

The ALP is a militia, set up two years ago by U.S. Forces, in villages where the national police force — a separate body trained by NATO — is weak. The ALP has been beset by allegations of abuse and widespread corruption.

Rogue shootings have killed 45 NATO-led troops so far this year, 15 last month alone, despite the coalition taking steps to try prevent them, such as requiring foreign soldiers to carry loaded weapons at all times.

In a statement, U.S. Forces said they will temporarily suspend training of about 1,000 new ALP recruits while they re-vet members currently belonging to the 16,000-strong force.

“We believe this is a necessary step to validate our vetting process and ensure the quality indicative of Afghan Local Police,” it said.

Perhaps Mitt Romney is not wanting to be a President who continues to fight a war that simply cannot be won? Maybe Romney will call it a victory in Afghanistan and Pakistan.

We shall see on that, I hoping for the best on that subject. But I am preparing for the worst.
