Honestly, I really do not know what this here is all about. However, I will say this, most Neoconservatives hate unions, which is why Google is getting poo-poo’ed by the so-called right. On the other hand, Pat Buchanan has always written pieces that defended the American and Detroit auto workers; and yes, Unions. The UFW is not what it once was; that is because the left shifted from being a protectionist sort, when it came to the borders of this Country, to an open borders sort of political entity. As with the UAW, it’s strength has been sapped by globalists, who would sell America’s soul for the making of a quick dollar.
Both of these fine men have left us; what they have left, sometimes greatly disappoints me. Some of it, was their own doing. Some of it, was simply a changing of the times, and was due to the advance of globalism. Either way, it is sad to see three once powerful organizations, which were created simply for the preservation of the dignity of the middle class in this Country; now turned into a shadow of their former selves, by people who put evil agendas ahead of the American people. Those people exist on BOTH SIDES of the political aisle and they exist in the very organizations themselves.
Walter Reuther’s and Cesar Chavez’s America has long past us by; it has been replaced with a new, more frightful America. One where fascism and oppression of Religion and Freedom of Speech are the norm; in the so-called “land of the free and home of the brave.” It is has been replaced by an America, where unneeded and unwanted War is now called “Necessary Military Action.” A Nation that was once the envy of the World, for its prosperity and wealth; has now been replaced by a Nation that is 16 trillion dollars in debt and whom its industrial base has been shipped overseas.
America is a much darker and sinister place, than it was in the days of Walter Reuther and Cesar Chavez; and the only persons that are to blame for it; is our owned damned selves.
May Walter Reuther and Cesar Chavez both rest in peace; and may the memory of what they both stood for, in their day, never been forgotten.
As someone who detests the commercialization of this Holiday, I refuse to call it Easter. It is Resurrection Day! Death, Hell and the Grave are defeated and Jesus has risen again!

This is the reason for the Holiday; not easter bunnies, not candy, none of that! It is celebration of the full, and literal bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ! Something, that as a Christian of 30 years, I celebrate everyday of my life.

Florida legislators considering a bill to require abortionists to provide medical care to an infant who survives an abortion were shocked during a committee hearing this week when a Planned Parenthood official endorsed a right to post-birth abortion.
Alisa LaPolt Snow, the lobbyist representing the Florida Alliance of Planned Parenthood Affiliates, testified that her organization believes the decision to kill an infant who survives a failed abortion should be left up to the woman seeking an abortion and her abortion doctor.
“So, um, it is just really hard for me to even ask you this question because I’m almost in disbelief,” said Rep. Jim Boyd. “If a baby is born on a table as a result of a botched abortion, what would Planned Parenthood want to have happen to that child that is struggling for life?”
“We believe that any decision that’s made should be left up to the woman, her family, and the physician,” said Planned Parenthood lobbyist Snow.
Rep. Daniel Davis then asked Snow, “What happens in a situation where a baby is alive, breathing on a table, moving. What do your physicians do at that point?”
“I do not have that information,” Snow replied. “I am not a physician, I am not an abortion provider. So I do not have that information.”
It’s that stuff right there that turns my stomach. Partial-birth abortion is basically legalized homicide of a living, breathing baby, as is regular abortion. Which is why I maintain that life begins at conception and should be protected. This here is one of the issues that I never could get in board with, when it came to the Democratic Party; this and homosexuality.
I try not to get preachy about this subject, as I just do not believe that it is the federal Government’s role to dictate social matters. However, when you get right down to it; abortion is just a ghastly, awful thing to do to another human being; hence my sickness of this subject. I did not even watch the video. Just looking at the text, made my stomach roll. 🙁
I guess that is why I do not vote Democrat any longer, as they actually advocate for this sort of butchery. The very fact that I have to write to defend federalism, in this sort of matter; grieves my soul, because of the moral decadence in this Country. A black member of the Alabama legislature uncorked a racist tirade in an email this week to a constituent who urged him not to embrace new gun control laws – copying his incendiary language to every member of the state legislature.
Joseph Mitchell, a Democrat who has represented parts of the city of Mobile since 1994 and ran for re-election unopposed in 2010 and 2006, castigated a voter named Eddie Maxwell, a Jefferson County man whom he correctly presumed was white.
‘Hey man,’ Mitchell wrote. ‘Your folk never used all this sheit [sic] to protect my folk from your slave-holding, murdering, adulterous, baby-raping, incestuous, snaggle-toothed, backward-a**ed, inbreed [sic], imported criminal-minded kin folk.’
Yeah, he can call us all that, but when I call him what he is; that being an asshole nigger, I get called a racist bigot. Now for those who do not like it that I called him this; I say this right here —- There is a grand canyon’s worth of difference between an educated black man, who is not all hung up on race, like this coon here and an asshole who harbors this sort of hate towards white people. The last time I checked, not I or any other white man alive today, are responsible for the lynchings and the slavery that happened in this Country many, many years ago.
Furthermore, it is an inconvenient truth to many people, possibly including this knuckle-dragger; that ALL of the blacks that were imported to the United States as slaves were not just your regular person in Africa, they were CRIMINALS and bad criminals at that! They were people in prison for long or life sentences for murder, rape and all sorts of other crimes in Africa. It is a LIE and rewriting of history to say that they were all innocent, because they were not!
Again, I do not hate blacks, except ones who go around talking this sort of shit, this many years after slavery was abolished and a civil war, which was fought against MY ancestors; was fought to make it stick — and this many years after the 1964 civil rights act. I mean, they are free to live, work and play everywhere. What the hell else do they damned want?

You see, this is where I have always had my conflicts with the religious right. The idea that some religious group of some sort controlling the Republican Party burns my boots. I believe that no particular religious group should have no control of any of the two major political parties. Either respect them all, or respect none of them.
This is also where my Christian beliefs and Political positions differ. I happen to believe that America is not a “Christian Nation” Per se. What I am saying is this: Many on the Christian Right, happen to believe that America is a Christian Republic. This is not so. We are a Constitutional Republic, or at least we were founded as one. The United States of America was created as a Nation that respects ALL religions, races, colors and creeds. We have not always lived up to that standard in the past, but we are doing that now, very well.
I will say this — We are supposed to be a Nation that respects all Religions equally, but anyone with half a brain will tell you that America does show deference to a protected minority of a Religion, and I am referring to those who brought The Lord Jesus Christ to a rigged trial, had him crucified and then lied and said that his disciples stole his body. (and no, folks, I am not talking about the Romans either…) The real funny thing is, the supposed descendants of those very people are the ones who run this Country and the Republican party. Funny how all that works.
As for Huckabee, I believe that if he and his Evangelical friends do not believe that the Republican Party suits their agenda, then they should walk. I believe the worst mistake that ever happened in the Republican Party, was that Ronald Reagan and the GOP gave the Christians a place at the table. Because I simply believe that Religion and Politics should never be intertwined. When they do become intertwined, you get things like Sharia Law. Which is a fascist form of Government. I believe, if anything at all, Mike Huckabee and his evangelical friends should be, as the Bible calls it, “about their Father’s business” and not meddling the affairs of this fallen world’s Government.
Furthermore, I believe that when it comes to homosexuality, Huckabee is nothing more than a two-bit coward. Huckabee fails to call homosexuality what it truly is, and that is the sodomite lifestyle. The Bible in the Old and New Testaments forbids it. Mike Huckabee could have taken a stand for the Word of God and for Christian morality, instead, he offered a dishrag of a defense, which made him look like a bigger idiot than normal. To be clear, The Word of God, that being the King James Bible (*); offers the following on the subject of homosexuality:

The people who were responsible for the Amplified Bible were under no illusion as what “Effeminate” meant to them. I am a King James Bible type of Christian, but I commend the makers of the Amplified Bible for pulling no punches on that scripture.
I only wish that people like Mike Huckabee were that bold, when it comes to issues of morality; as they are, about wanting to meddle in the affairs of the Government. Again, this goes back to being about “The Father’s Business.” In this department, Mike Huckabee and the Evangelical Christian World as a whole, is failing badly and America is now reaping the harvest of bad seed, sown many, many years ago.

Ten years ago, along with three-quarters of the American people, including the men just appointed as President Obama’s secretaries of state and defense, I supported the invasion of Iraq. A decade on, unlike most of the American people, including John Kerry and Chuck Hagel, I’ll stand by that original judgment.
For what it is truly worth, I have ADHD and yes I am under a doctor’s care for it. Which is why I tend to want to kick those, who use the term in a glib or condescending way such as this here — square in the damned teeth.

Again, this is why I love being an independent politically, (Who does lean to the right slightly, but I digress.) and being a bit of a free-thinker; I see the hypocrisy of both sides. This is a perfect example of that very thing.

SOUTHGATE — An eighth-grader at Davidson Middle School shot and killed himself in a bathroom this morning, school officials said.
Students told The News-Herald Newspapers the teen said he was depressed because he was being bullied. One classmate, who said he spoke to the student prior to the shooting, said the teen said he was thinking of taking his life.
The school was placed on lockdown at about 8:30 a.m. Although school Supt. William Grusecki was unavailable for comment, his office said the lockdown was due to a “situation with a student.”
A press conference was scheduled for 11:30 a.m. to address the situation.
News outlets are reporting the student shot himself in the head and left a note.
An eighth-grader inside the school said he was in class and heard a shot. He said the it sounded like glass breaking and a teacher rushed to a bathroom.
Students were visibly shaken as they were led out of the school. Parents were called to come and pick them up
What I want to know is, where the hell was the school at, to stop such bullying? For those who do not know; Southgate, Michigan is right next door to my city here in Lincoln Park. It is less the a mile away. I would go over there and see if I could get pictures; but Southgate is a bit of a tough city to outsiders. They are known to arrest people that they do not like the looks of, so I will stay away from the scene.
If I were the parents of this child, who killed himself; I would sue the parents of the children, who did the bullying. I would also sue the school district for not protecting my child from such bullying. It is very obvious that someone, somewhere in that school, knew that this was going on and turned and looked the other way.
Furthermore, I believe that the parents of the children, who did the bullying, ought to be held accountable for their children’s actions. The parents ought to be charged, in the case, with first degree murder.
Now, as for the gun rights people, vs the Gun Rights people; I really do not believe it would have mattered here. Most likely, this kid got this gun from his Dad’s collection, and took it to school and killed himself. No amount of gun laws, would have prevented this one at all. I should also point out, that this school, according to the Detroit News, does not have metal detectors, as it is an older school and not only that; it is a rather nice area. Southgate, Michigan is not really known for school violence; after all, it is not Detroit. Countdown to being called a racist in 5….4…3…..2….
In closing: First off, my prayers to the people involved, including the family of the deceased child. 🙁 Also, something needs to be done about bullying, it is just that simple. This is what caused the Columbine school shooting and a few tragic others. It needs to be dealt with and quickly, before anyone else gets shot.
Update: Police and school officials are now saying bullying was not the cause of the Suicide. I hold this is high suspicion, I think someone is trying to cover their behinds. Here is the video of the presser from earlier: (via WXYZ-TV)
